Someone noticed (here) that March 29, Billy's birthday, is also the day the Cali crew is back in Hawkins.

So, I'm thinking. We see the name Billy as Max is reading the letter, but the name William when she is in the Vecna vision. That could just mean different timelines, or maybe it's also a hint that the theory that Will is in a Vecna vision at the end of S4 is correct (here)

Maybe on March 29 Vecna goes into William's mind and what he sees from the moment he touches his neck is a vision (everything else is real) The end credit song, Spellbound, is definitely an interesting choice...

I would love it if S4 starts with a flashback of El in the lab, and ends with Will in a vision. Also, we know that S5 starts with a UD flashback, so:

4x01 -> lab flashback -> then El's letter, in which she lies about her life in Lenora

5x01 -> UD flashback -> then a vision, which is also a lie?

What would Vecna show Will? Maybe the day at Rink-o-mania. But I think this would be different from El's letter. This time we would see the truth, twisted by Vecna, like the truth about Max wishing her brother to die. Maybe Vecna would tell Will that he is jealous, and that the reason he didn't help El is that, deep down, he wants her to suffer.

Well, Will is jealous, but that's normal. It doesn't mean that he's cruel or doesn't love his sister. We see that in the van scene and in 4x09.

And how could Vecna show Will that he is jealous and wants to hurt his sister? Maybe by making him be the one who throws the milkshake on her dress.

Remember the BTS photo of Noah at Rink-o-mania in his 4x09 outfit? The boy behind him and Millie is the actor who plays Jake, or his double. Jake is the one who throws the milkshake on El's dress. Jake has a bowl cut and kinda resembles Will.

So, maybe Noah was wearing his 4x09 here because this is the vision scene, and this time he's the one who humiliates El.

I could be wrong, but I think this would be a very interesting parallel with the beginning of S4. And a way to make Will more vulnerable

They start filming at a mansion that's situated at the Smoke and Rise country club in Atlanta. Eleven was there and has a scene screaming so there's some action going on, Will was also seen there later on and he looks like he has make up on like he's experiencing the effect of possessions or not feeling well. Nancy was seen there dressed with something that resembles a candy stripers costume of a volunteer nurse, Steve's car was parked outside with the radio station van and there's an antenna over Steve's car... (my theory now is that in the pre vis something makes the antenna go down into the car for the pressure, like something hitting the car from outside that breaks it)

Still at the mansion we have two stand-in actors that have been seen, one of them seems to be called Derek and he could be either a new character or using a fake name (he kinda looks like Jonathan) and there's also this audition for a kid called Derek...

The erasure of Aphrodite's actual kids in mythology for Rachel's OCs is worse when you notice they're all queer themselves:

Eros - Already a given as to why he'd be a queer figure

Anteros - God of Requited Love. In the more popular versions of his birth he's the son of Poseidon ans Nerites, another man. The god of the most happy form of love is from two queer dads!

Himeros - God of Sex, and specifically is considered a patron to Male/Male romantic and sexual relationships

Pothos - God of Longing and Yearning, and to many can be seen as a queer figure who represents the struggle of queer identities and feelings in a cishetero society

Hedylogos - God of Sweet-talk and Flattery, easily can be made into a bi/pansexual figure to represent queer joy

Hymenaus - God of Marriages and Song who actually crossdresses in mythology to save women in danger.

Hermaphroditus - God of Androgyny, who in the greek version of their birth was always neither male or female, but a mixture of both. They're a symbol of intersex people and being outside the gender binary.

So, Rachel had a whole BTS's worth of queer figures to include in her story, especially in a romance story, and yet removed all of them except one to make a gay best friend. The queer erasure has been there since day one and is worse the longer you look into it!

You're so right though, I feel like it would have made sense to not include them just for the sake of avoiding cast bloat, but instead she just swapped them out for a whole other cast of fake kids, and it's really telling when the OG kids were queer. Now we have... Mania.

I just thought of the craziest idea for a season 4 teaser trailer in the same vein as the season 2 trailer

Specifically, this part:

Y’know how Noah wore a different outfit in the s4 BTS of Rink o’ Mania and showed off being harnessed-up for even though he had no harness scenes in s4?

There’s been speculation that it’s for a dream sequence or a Vecna’s curse sequence, which I think is incredibly plausible to the point of likely.

Well, we all know what day it was during Rink o’ Mania…..

So imagine the trailer playing, and it’s the typical rapid intercutting of out-of-context scenes, and then it cuts to black just like season 2, and…

Over the darkness, we hear Joyce’s voice.

“Do you know what March 22nd is?”

Cue dramatic montage of Will being trapped in either a dream or Vecna’s curse, reliving Rink o’ Mania and getting hoisted into the air, and then—title card.

It would serve a dual purpose in showing we’re getting some Will-centric content, that Will is either having nightmares or is being targeted by Vecna, and would also establish to the GA that oh yeah, remember Rink o’ Mania? We knew it was on his birthday and that was on purpose.

I think I thought this too and thought he just couldn't get to her or at worst she didn't see him but on my second watch I remember reading the subtext "I don't need your comfort. You don't even love me." Everything is crashing down on her at the same time in this moment I think. And it does so more when she gets more "proof" later with his reaction to Angela but it is right now, too. She can pretend they're relationship is good and secure but she is not feeling good about being vulnerable with him right now because she doesn't trust that his compassion is real, and even so, being close to him may just serve as a reminder of the stress she's associating with him right now.

And that goes along with the lie thing. She doesn't trust him to love her the way she needs right now so she doesn't want to be reminded/confirmed that he can't and she is still, as she has been out of insecurity all day, trying to make the day about "me and you" and ignoring Will in a desperate attempt to CONVINCE him to love her. She isn't actively ignoring Will like Mike is, she just can't afford to focus on anything but giving Mike the perfect day. The perfect day a perfect girlfriend would give him. The kind of girlfriend a person loves.

And yeah, the simplest easiest way to resolve tension in a relationship like this? *Gasp* don't write in the first place! Need a plot conflict for the couple? Make it situational! (S4 Lumax) Systemic! (S3 Jancy) Projecting you past problems! (S3 Jopper). Don't make the couple have problems that come FROM the couple. The whole point is to romanticize it and say that they SOLVE everything together and BY being together. The tension is when they're apart and being together resolves it. If it is ever demonstrated that they are relaxed apart and, because of their conflict, BECOME stressed when together, we will not want them together. At worst, they should be the same apart and together and not be improved by each other. But, out of love and wanting to work things out, THEY ADD STRESS TO EACH OTHER'S LIVES. ESPECIALLY in season 4! Like I said, it's why she doesn't want to see Mike! It would be overwhelming and piling onto her current stress!

Mike and El consistently become more stressed when they're together. They love each other and have good moments in their dating but all of their conflicts are 2 steps back, 2 steps forward aka their relationship itself stresses them out and they fight all season to get to a place where they can be happy together. Sweet, telling of love, love is work, but love shouldn't be THAT much work. And being happy together is the bare minimum. They have not surpassed the bare minimum because they can't even maintain it consistently.

They have said repeatedly now "being together equals stress but when they overcome it, they're okay. Not being together inherently equals being okay."

If they wanted us to think something different they would have shown us El not doing okay as a result of her separation from Mike during season 4 even ONCE. They even managed to bring up Max even though that plotline was almost entirely flashbacks. They mentioned Max to give the reunion more satisfaction. They even showed El thinking of Will as she referenced the mind flayer to Papa. But nothing for Mike. (And Jonathan, she loves you too).

There is so much they COULD have done and didn't. But more importantly, there is SO much they could have NOT done and DID.

the first time i saw this, when i was NOT a byler shipper, i thought el was running TO mike. i thought we were getting a sweet moment where el runs to mike and he puts an arm around her or hugs her.

then i realized she was running away from him. 

and i was like, why?? they're supposed to be the couple why does she not want his comfort??

and even after will calls her out on doing mike wrong by lying to him, even after she sees that mike is attempting to talk to her and comfort her, that he's not angry at her, she still tells angela to lie to mike. more lies. that's how much she cares about keeping up the persona. had angela lied to mike, el would've continued lying to him the entire week. something she knows in her heart is wrong and not fair to mike.

this is a theme in s4. putting who you want to be seen as before being honest with your bf/gf. going above and beyond to preserve your lie, to be seen as who you want to be.

chrissy does that with jason. who she portrays herself as is completely different than who she really is and what she's really going through. jason has absolutely no idea chrissy is struggling and refused to believe chrissy would buy drugs, because chrissy didn't want to tell him. who knows how jason would've reacted if chrissy was honest, we don't know because chrissy didn't trust him enough to tell him. that's not love at all, that's sad.

this is a point in s2 as well. murray calls nancy out for being afraid to be her true self, and she stays with steve because she doesn't have to be her true self around him. she is her true self when she's with jonathan, and that's why they worked together. that's love.

the exact same thing happens with chrissy. the first time we see her genuinely smile is when she's with eddie. she's sweet and charismatic, and had she lived she totally would've gone to eddie's show, something you never would've expected from her, something her boyfriend, the person she pretends to love, would NEVER do.

robin and steve reinforce this too

you fall in love with the person who makes you feel accepted, the person who makes you feel like you can be who you are. the person you trust with your true self.

mike and el don't trust each other enough, they don't understand each other well enough.

they would have to change their behavior towards each other by leaps and bounds, and we're already at the last season. there is no time for that. stranger things isn't a multi season show about the complexity of romantic relationships and the healthy way to resolve problems. there is no time for that in just about any movie or show, especially a sci-fi show. you know what's way easier and way more likable? pairing your character with someone they naturally click with, who bring out the best in each other and for some reason can't help but be their authentic selves when they're with each other.

did it with lumax. when lucas and max talked on the bus max found herself spewing about things she'd never even said out loud before, and she had to stop herself. something about lucas just made her feel comfortable, like she could be herself and tell the truth. she trusted him.

"You're nothing like your brother, okay? You're cool and different, you're super smart, and you're like, totally tubular."

jopper too! joyce constantly had to hide things from bob, she was insecure about their family not being normal.

"This is not a normal family."

"It could be."

though bob had good intentions, the message of the show is not trying to be normal when you aren't. whatever it is about you that makes you weird or different, whatever you've been through that changed you, stay true to it. dont bottle it up and try to be someone else. all of vecnas victims in s4 were doing this, and it didn't end well for them.

they even did it with dustin and suzie. dustin constantly tries to impress max with his teeth, then in season 3 he says suzie thinks kissing is better without teeth. he doesn't have to be insecure about that or try to impress her. she likes him for him.

mike isn't comfortable being his true self around el either. he's insecure about his interests, he feels like he has to act older and cooler to impress her.

you shouldn't be with the person you feel you have to impress. you should be with the person who relieves that pressure, who makes you feel like being the authentic you is enough.

he “very earnestly” loves smfsd a lot- it’s in the running for being his favorite fob album! and it means a lot to him that lftos was received so well.

“i have a day job! i score a children’s show” “you have a lot of day jobs actually!” “i have more than i need- its kindof overwhelming!”

“when you’re scoring, you’re sitting in a studio by yourself [...] and then i get plucked out of my studio and get put on a stage with fire and explosions and stuff- it feels very sudden and dramatic!”

“during mania i would go in the studio and take my voice and bend it [digitally] into completely different sounds [...] i was pretty satisfied with that experiment, it was fun”

“when we did records like ioh/fad, it was like [our] eyes were too big for [our] stomach- we had all these big ideas but we would go into the studio and have no idea what we were doing. we were still very green in terms of how to translate those ideas. now, all four of us have had so many experiences [in music] that we kinda know what we're doing and what we're talking about. and i was like, "man, if we could go back to that place, to that kind of studio, to working with neal avron [and] bring in these new experiences- what would that be like?" universal has invited patrick to go ride the hulk rollercoaster but he doesnt like rollercoasters and is terrified of heights lol. during scoring, he scored it to a POV video of the ride but even then he still Felt it lmao

interviewer: “so no sports, no rollercoasters, but you do a great job at music so that’s all that matters!” patrick: “i’m kindof a one note guy. my one note is lots of notes!”

he wants to do a zelda score for nintendo! breath of the wild is his favorite game they’ve made, but one thing he misses about it is that its very quiet musically. he loves the ocarina of time soundtrack.

In the original BtS, the Hard-Boiled Heavies remained exactly the same as they looked in Mania, despite the rest of the cast having their Modern designs, because why would I want to change perfection. However, for Stellar, I decided they should be slightly Modern-ified so as to not only be consistent with the other characters, but also to provide another indication of Eggman constantly upgrading his models over time (like how he's always making new iterations of Caterkillers, Buzz Bombers, Orbinauts, etc).

They'd remain largely the same, still resembling Egg Robos on the whole, but with some minor adjustments reminiscent of the Egg Pawns and the E-Series.

vocês sabem qual a diferença entre entrar em uma comunidade com seus amigos e já ter combinado plot e casal com fazer uma panelinha? não sou autoridade no assunto, mas aqui vou falar minha experiência como moderador e player, e também como alguém que sem perceber fez parte de uma panela.

a primeira opção é muito comum de acontecer. pessoas acabam se aproximando naturalmente e aprendendo as preferências e manias do outro quando o assunto é rp. eu sei que minha amiga gosta de jogar drama, não gosta de combinar end game, que ela tem uma rotina corrida por causa do trabalho e costuma responder tudo na hora. ao mesmo tempo, ela sabe que eu também gosto de drama, mas amo romance de todo tipo e mesmo que a minha rotina seja mais tranquila que a dela, que eu demoro mais a responder. nós jogamos juntos desde 2022 e respeitamos o tempo um do outro. e já entramos juntos em cmm, muitas vezes. só que com essa amiga em específico eu posso falar que nunca nos fechamos, sempre puxamos as pessoas que estavam se sentindo deslocadas e criamos muitos plots assim.

mas a situação do tal rp que a mod tá se fazendo de coitadinha (desculpem a acidez, isso já tá me estressando há dias) tá longe de ser só amigas que se conhecem e tem mais afinidade pra criar plot. porque eu tentei, gente, desde o momento que o rp abriu. tentei buscar plots com elas, tentei responder todo mundo, mesmo eu me sentindo desconfortável com fcs do bts (um problema meu, que não é da conta de ninguém que prefere jogar com eles). era uma comunidade, o mínimo era eu não ficar ignorando personagem por causa de uma coisa que não era culpa de ninguém ali.

fiz starter call, respondia sempre que postavam algo, mesmo que a minha atividade fosse mais lenta. fazia o meu melhor pra não deixar ninguém no vácuo. só que quando fiquei um mês sem resposta das queridas enquanto elas apareciam, se respondiam e davam ghosting em todo mundo, eu larguei de mão. não larguei o rp, porque seria sacanagem com quem também estava tentando jogar sozinho e buscar plots, e porque eu fiz conexões que me agradaram e queria desenvolver. mas foi conversando com outras players que eu vi que não estava sozinho no meu achismo.

que realmente existia uma panelinha, que elas ignoravam TODO MUNDO que não babava ovo dos personagens chatos delas, e que a mod tava no meio e por isso as desqueridas ficavam mais de 10 dias sem responder ninguém e nem chegavam perto do activity check.

mano, isso é muito chato, mesmo. e quem estava desconfortável foi sim conversar com a moderação, eu sei disso porque recebi print, e eu mesmo falei com a moderação. mas o tempo todo era a querida negando o óbvio, se fazendo de prefeita da coitadolândia falando que só tava sem tempo e pipipi popopo.

SE VOCÊ TÁ SEM TEMPO, NÃO MODERA SOZINHO, NEM ENTRA COM 5 PERSONAGENS DE UMA VEZ SE NÃO VAI DESENVOLVER NENHUM DELES.

eu gosto de moderar, eu gosto de jogar com 7 personagens de uma vez só, mas eu me organizo pra não atrapalhar ninguém com os meus problemas. porque quando você entra em uma comunidade, quando modera uma, você tá se responsabilizando por manter o jogo vivo pra que todo mundo possa se divertir. é uma promessa silenciosa que você não vai atrapalhar o jogo de ninguém e só vai dar o seu melhor para agregar.

agora vou deixar aqui o segundo textão que eu mandei pra querida moderadora depois dela falar que não tinha panela e que eu tava louco.

ok, vamos começar. eu não quis dizer que todo mundo tem que entrar todos os dias, responder na mesma hora ou nada do tipo, porque isso seria até hipocrisia minha já que só consigo me dedicar aos turnos duas ou três vezes por semana. a questão não é ser a pessoa mais ativa do rp. mas, vamos combinar uma coisa? cada um respondeu pelo menos um dia de disponibilidade na hora de mandar a ficha.

se você não tem tempo nem disposição pra manter 5 personagens, não tenha 5 personagens. tenha um e faça ele um camaleão com todos os pontos que vc quer desenvolver. agora se você disse na ficha que tinha tempo pra jogar pelo menos um dia, e se dispôs a criar 5 personagens de uma vez, o mínimo que a gente espera é você cumprir com o que prometeu indiretamente. porque combinar plot, cnn, interação é exatamente isso, uma promessa silenciosa. a outra pessoa fica esperando um mês, sem noção se vai receber o que queria ou não, enquanto o alecrim dourado continua prometendo mundos e fundos e sumindo sem nem dar um aviso.

dá pra contar em uma mão quantas vezes a querida 1 apareceu na dash. no personagem genérico 1 ela interagiu com personagens femininas, fora da panela e que entraram nessa edição, por volta de 4 vezes. o resto dos posts ou é gif do fc ou é starter com as mesmas pessoas: você, paneleira 2, paneleira 3 e querida 2. postou um starter aberto mas desde então não deu seguimento com ninguém que respondeu. já no personagem genérico 2 ela realmente interagiu com outras pessoas e com mulheres, mas considero isso um milagre mesmo. porque respondeu cada personagem uma única vez antes de mais uma vez desaparecer no ar. já nos outros personagens genéricos, até chegou a combinar plot comigo, mas desapareceu sem aviso e eu não sei nem se os starters que tenho pra abrir pra ela vão ser respondidos um dia, ou o plot vai ter seguimento. porque isso já aconteceu mais de uma vez com ela.

agora sobre os personagens da paneleira 2. no gay de festa 1 ela tem umas 4 interações fora da panela em 2 meses de rpg. o resto é com vocês da panela, o que ela responde quase na hora sem enrolar muito. no gay de festa 2 a mesma coisa. até interagiu com uma mulher ou outra, que não passou de duas respostas da parte dela, focando sempre mais nos mesmos personagens seus, da querida 1 e da paneleira 3, e as vezes da querida 2.

a querida 2 é a que mais interage fora do reality a bolha, é a que mais é ativa desse grupinho. mas por outro lado, na personagem mulher hipersexualizada ela literalmente só respondeu homem e foto da fc. na personagem esquecida só os membros da família dela, tanto que eu nem sabia que essa personagem existia.

e você, moderadora paneleira, até interage com outras pessoas. mas sinceramente? isso é o mínimo que se espera de alguém que modera um rpg. você não merece aplausos pelo mínimo, que é manter uma atividade mesmo que mínima quando se prontificou a fazer 5 personagens e interagir com os outros. eu sei que a vida é caótica, que a gente não controla o que acontece e isso pode sim afetar nossa vontade de entrar e jogar. mas sabe o que é mil vezes melhor do que ficar pedindo mil desculpas por falta de atividade? ter maturidade e responsabilidade de admitir que não está em um momento bom para se dedicar à uma comunidade e simplesmente pedir unfollow. se não tem tempo, não entra, principalmente com tanto personagem assim de uma vez. é o melhor pra vc e pro resto dos players.

eu entendo que não tem como saber quando as pessoas estão se aproveitando da nossa empatia, mas é justamente por isso que é importante impor limites. porque a vida é assim, as pessoas se sentem confortáveis para se aproveitar da boa vontade alheia, e se você não tem coragem de impor um limite de inatividade, de pedido de hiatus e etc, não devia nem moderar. porque moderar é saber quando ser empático e quando ser mais rígido, ou vira bagunça. e mil desculpas, mas o falecido virou bagunça.

não adianta quantas vezes você tente negar que não existe uma panela no falecido, porque isso não sou eu acusando sem motivo. isso é mais de uma pessoa que notou o comportamento de vocês não só nessa edição, mas nas passadas também. e, sinceramente, eu sei que não adianta reclamar porque vocês não vão mudar da noite pro dia, vão continuar fechadas na bolha de vidro até dar merda entre vocês mesmo. já aconteceu comigo, eu sei como é difícil admitir que tem sim uma panela, e mais difícil ainda quando tudo acaba e você fica abandonado porque deu prioridade pra três pessoas que na primeira oportunidade se desfazem de você.

e outra: a questão nunca foi ter plot combinado. quem entra com amigo, acaba fazendo isso mesmo. é normal combinar end game com quem vc já conhece, é normal combinar cnn e tudo o mais com seu amigo que vai entrar no rp, isso é até melhor porque você já entra sabendo que não vai estar sozinho. o problema com a bolha de vocês, quatro mosqueteiras e meia, é justamente ficar SÓ ENTRE VOCÊS. não ter abertura pra ninguém, absolutamente ninguém mesmo. isso que é chato, isso que cansa. podem reciclar personagem, reciclar plot, entrar de casal fechado e o que for. mas estejam abertos para interagir com outras pessoas fora da bolha de vidro.

eu entendo que na edição passada tinha menos gente, eu mesmo tentei jogar aqui. mas sabe por que tinha menos gente? na verdade, por que tinha menos mulher? é que vocês se uniram tanto que raramente alguma mulher se sentia acolhida, porque era visível que davam preferência pra homem. eu senti isso na única semana que fiquei.

por favor entendam, não sou o único a perceber isso, não foram duas pessoas que perceberam isso. todo mundo com quem falei no pv notou a mesma coisa, reclamou da mesma coisa. que vocês três se fecham entre si e raramente dão chance pra outras pessoas, que tem um favoritismo ali, e que respondem mais homens, plotam mais com homens e tudo o que eu já falei acima. não adianta usar de argumento que “meu personagem gay tinha uma melhor amiga! fulano tem irmãs!” quando é só isso, pessoas específicas, subplots. nunca algo que faça a diferença, nunca algo que é realmente desenvolvido.

eu espero, de coração, que você e suas amigas (porque não adianta falar que não conhece elas, todo mundo já sabe que vocês estão sempre juntas, e se jogou 1x1 com elas acabou conhecendo melhor cada uma sim) mudem a visão e a forma de jogar de vocês. porque é muito chato entrar em comunidade e ver que fulana e ciclana só fazem os mesmos casais gays extremamente fetichizados e estereotipados. que não tem desenvolvimento algum, que ficam num troca troca eterno de personagem e nunca cumprem o que prometem. [...]

e a resposta que recebi? dela reclamando que eu não tinha o direito de falar assim com ela quando era a segunda reclamação que eu fazia, provavelmente mais uma de várias que elas receberam. e na primeira vez eu fiz o meu melhor pra simplesmente não mandar tomar no cu.
