I will say something that I see on twt occasionally that bothers me about the fanon characterization of Pieck is this idea that she’s physically disgusting/doesn’t shower/doesn’t brush her teeth. Like yes she probably neglects her hair and is pretty rank right after being a titan for 2 months but I always interpreted the messiness as just a 24/7 bed head and her father not really knowing how to deal with her hair leading to her just not learning about the proper care of her specific hair type from lack of a mother figure, rather than “she’s a sweaty and crusty person with bad hygiene bc she doesn’t gaf”. I never saw her as the type to just be absolutely nasty and I wish that wasn’t such a popular take.

I really feel like if she was a titan for months at a time it would be the polar opposite once she got back to human form, and she would immediately shower to the point of rubbing her skin raw. Especially when Hange asks if she brushes her titan’s teeth and she’s upset that they even asked that question. Post-rumbling Pieck to me is the girl with like 5 different perfumes each for a different occasion because now she CAN be girly and pretty and traditionally feminine.

Shooting ideas together for a later chapter of OWL and I suddenly started tearing up over the idea of Reiner getting a little squishy post-peace talk attempt #1 and Jean teasing him about it in a loving way leading to some banter and just… ugh…

It’s such a subtle thing for me in canon because it’s never explicitly talked about, but Reiner losing so much weight after he gets back to Marley and how it’s never mentioned outwardly but ties in with his depression is just something painfully relatable to me. I just really enjoy the idea of him getting soft and becoming a huge foodie post-rumbling

OUGHH sorry for the late reply i just saw this. this was asked when ep6 hasnt released yet but ill give my thoughts on both ep5 and ep6 anyway hihi spoilers below ofc

ep5

- i really really love how theyre developing percabeths relationship especially, it makes me so happy ,, i was initially a little scared the show might lose the charm of getting to see percys inner thoughts about annabeth n grover but theyre adapting it really well so far imo!!

- i love the depth theyre giving to grover that wasnt shown in the books, he def feels much more like a fleshed out character now (not that he wasnt before; but i like him even more now!) i luv it

- the tunnel of love looks. really cool. the set is cool. and the dialogue between the trio is really good in this ep! especially percy n annabeths convos in waterland, calling each other friends was so. ugh.

- the acting was SUPERB as always, but id like to specifically point out walkers acting when percy was turning to gold ?? like, holy ???

- only thing i didnt like very much about the episode was the dark lighting </3 the set looked so cool yet i couldnt see most of it bc it was too shadowed

- honestly,, my least fav in the show so far

- i dislike that they figured out the casino belonged to the lotus eaters like, 5 seconds in? i feel like it got rid of the small mystery behind it. idk. i wish theyd taken longer to figure it out

- hermes was cool though. i like how much theyre delving into pre-camp luke/annabeth/thalia/grover friendship ! itll make the betrayal hit a lot harder when the time comes

- i also liked augustus ?? again, grover being a fleshed out character. i like it

- the trio was so cute in this ep :’)
