You know i get this sense of satisfaction that when BTS reunites jm will be one of the members who did GREAT musically on his own as a solo artist without anyone's help you know like big names on his album or anything and that he indeed is someone whose music armys love. For years i have seen members not putting him in anything as #1 e.g. best vocalist jungkook, best dancer hobi, handsome ones taehyung and jin, RM has his fixed one as the leader and since he's quite a better writer than the rest. Not saying members don't praise jm for anything cause i know they all know he indeed is the centre of their performances and as RM said he's the axis around which the stage revolves BUT i always felt like maybe musically they wouldn't be crediting him much like they never saw him good musician as a soloist but now that he's achieved great things with his Albums I'm sure he himself would not feel any inferiority compared to others or that he won't be as good enough as a BTS member as he quite worried himself that if he can keep that name on top n all.

I by no means feel the need to show any other members down cause to each their own I quite don't care about what are all they achieving i just wanted for jimin to feel that yes he's achieved things the same as BTS as the group did. He would be a #1 BB artist, #1 on sp, #1 hot 100, BB global, BB Excel everything plus the 1M in the US, he's already got 1B for one song and hopefully when till the time he comes back he'll have two 2B plaques waiting for him. I hope he feels satisfied that he did great with the music he himself wanted and he was involved in everything. And that definitely will give him more confidence. I know that tour is gonna happen not just jm but every member will do that's a given but oh the happiness he gonna feel looking at those people 🥹 i still remember his expressions when he won on music show like he genuinely cherishes each and every win, there's no arrogance in him where he thinks He's BTS's member so he'll always be on top or anything. The anticipation on his face that day told me how he cherishes even a small win and i feel good that i chose him.

Yes, Jimin’s already shown renewed confidence in all his abilities. I do hope that BTS grow out of their set roles that they’ve been holding onto since debut and allow for some change into their group dynamics where creativity is concerned. Like after FACE and MUSE, if he doesn’t get more production/composer credits on their songs it’s just a wasted opportunity, cause Jimin knows how to make hits.

He doesn’t need the validation of the other members of being multifaceted , but acknowledgment that he’s more than just “cute” and a dancer, would go a long way.

While i don't think any of the bp girls are very talented (in my opinion r has the most listenabel music of them) , im so envious of their solo roll out.

The have playlisting, proper promotions, a company who gives a f.ck and tools.

They are so lucky to have their individual labels that handel their solo work. I wish bts did the same.

So that's what the Korean article early this year said. It had a list of albums, total sales and actual % shipped.

From BTS, the article had JK and V with only 50%-55% actual shipped.

That's odd. Cause JK had 2.5m album sales and 1.2m was from his China fb. V had 2m sales and 1m was from his cbar. If only 50% of their albums actually shipped out, then their cbars are canceling or returning everything they bought after it counts for first day or week charts.

Oooh okay Anon. I remember that stuff but didn't fully understand what it was about. This makes sense. So basically, they're reporting JK's sales as 2.5 mill but they're actually 1.25. That's a huge difference, and puts him only slightly ahead of Baekhyun's last big one if I'm remembering correctly.

It seems like they're inflating sales to make it seem like they are far ahead of competitors when in reality they're not.

NCT. honestly sales are the only thing carrying the brand... they have no general public impact and never had individual opportunities to cement them in the industry. the only reason they got as big as they are is because of the "infinite rotational" gimmick and how SM uses it as a sales funnel to boost the subunits as needed

Red Velvet. beloved by tumblrinas and a great discography do give them a good legacy... but sadly their overall commercial success is not what it could have been. SM is to blame for fumbling the bag so horribly but when you put them against the rest of the groups in this list they clearly can't compare

Yep I am late and this time I don't have any excuses. I didn't get sick like last time. I think I am just burnt out but I don't wanna fully admit it bec I don't have the right to be burnt out lmao. Anyways, I am here to talk about Jimin and not me.

Where do I even start?

I previously said that I'll start typing my thoughts again so I could get back to them in the future. But honestly, I don't know if I actually want to remember everything that happened during Jimin's FACE era. It actually gave me more heartbreak than happiness. As much as I wanted to focus on the success of the album and how the songs were carefully written by Jimin, I think there are more serious matters to talk about.

I mean yes, Jimin attained all these record breaking achievements however at the same time, he experienced a lot of injustices mostly bec he's an asian making honest music in a white dominated industry.

After hitting no.1 on HOT100, Billboard suddenly deleted 90% of his sales in the 2nd week which made him fall 40 spots down. If the sales were not deleted, he could've stayed no.1 for another week.

Spotify merged the 2 versions of Like Crazy in the first 4 days (like they usually do with other artists' songs) but when it was able to hit no.1 on Global Spotify Chart, they suddenly separated the 2 and never put them back. They even fucked up the producer credits for a time period.

Even after hitting no.1 on Global Spotify Chart and no.1 on HOT100, US radios kept ignoring Like Crazy and refused to play it. They would ask for requests and when LC acquires the most votes, they will pick another song. If the song was not paid and not from a white artist, US radios dgaf no matter how well the song is doing on the official charts.

Youtube has always been a BTS anti. Youtube does filter other artists' views too but when it comes to any BTS related videos, they filter out 1000000x harder. No matter how it is proven that BTS has one of, if not the largest fandom in the world, Youtube still considers us bots.

They usually delete a lot of views during the first few days of a BTS video then tones down after. However during Jimin's music videos (SMFPT2 and LC) they kept deleting an average of 1M views per day even 2 weeks after the release. The fact that LC was no.1 trending music video worldwide for days but it was stuck with the same views was so frustrating. Even if you compare its views to likes ratio from other Korean artists' mvs, you'll definitely see something's wrong.

When Jimin was about to hit 2M album sales in 1 day, Hanteo deleted 700k sales. They were even planning to make Jimin not hit 1M in 1 day bec they suddenly froze his sales. Luckily the fandom was able to screen record their website and posted a bunch of proofs of their anomaly. After bombarding them with emails, they gave up and brought back Jimin's 1M sales. Sadly the 700k sales were not given back.

The worst part from all this mess? BIGHIT/HYBE never said anything. Never defended their artist. Always does the bare minimum and makes the fandom do all the work, from promo, to radio spins and even in demanding for accountability from all these charts and platforms. Very disappointing knowing they are the biggest entertainment company in SK. BTS built the company from dust through their blood, sweat and tears but they can't give the same energy back? Pathetic. Tho when it comes to their rookie group they be doing the most lol.

"Bangtan are not babies, they are grown up, adult men. They are shareholders of this company. They know everything, they approved of this blah blah" 

I know BTS do have the power and voice regarding their work but at the end of the day, there are certain things that the company has the final say (Hell they can't even release certain songs sometimes if not approved by the company!). I'm so sick of people bringing up this argument just to disregard the company's blatant negligence to the Tannies. Also, me talking about this does not mean I don't acknowledge all the good they've done, there are just so many questionable decisions made by the company that needed to be addressed but the space is not enough to list them all.

Tbh if I can make all of these not true I would. I would save Jimin from all these unfair treatment specially he is just facing all of these alone since this is not a group comeback. But this is the reality. All these sabotages were not conspiracy theories, they were real. Even all of us were shocked that these charts and platforms did these things in broad daylight. This is how dirty the music industry is against people of color. This is the truth.

Other fandoms usually just focus on the visual aspect and rarely their faves' music (numbers don't lie bruh). They would be making fun of our fandom bec we take streaming, voting and charting seriously. And when BTS keeps on winning and their faves don't, they'd protest lmao. Why am I mentioning this?

Sometimes after fighting all these music charts and platforms I would think, what if I didn't dive deep? What if I'm just a casual music listener and a visual stan? What if I didn't know how corrupt the system is? Things wouldn't be so stressful right?

But then again, I fell in love with BTS bec of their music. And they have proven how much they love making music. Of course as a fan, I only want the best for them. I want them to achieve everything they deserve as artists and musicians. Fighting the impossible like the music industry is indeed exhausting however if it's for an artist like BTS then it's all worth it.

I want to end this long ass rant by congratulating Jimin on his historical solo album debut. I am sorry if I didn't focus on typing about FACE. I wanted to emphasize that despite all these sabotages, no payola, no playlisting, no radio and no western collab, Jimin made it to the top. 

There might be people (mostly the ones who don't know how the charts and system work) thinking it was easy. It was never easy, always never easy when it comes to BTS.

Nevertheless thank you Jimin for making this masterpiece. I am proud of having you as a bias. You deserve all the success and praise. We will always have your back no matter what. I love you.

I cried when I first listened to Set Me Free Pt. 2. If you are a Jimin biased person, you'll understand.

I am a big fan of 80s music and Like Crazy has 80s music vibe so I love it so much.

I wanted to include every achievement of FACE and LC on every chart in different countries but there's not enough space.

There might be another Korean soloist in the future who will achieve no.1 on HOT100 like Jimin but that will never change the fact that he will always be the first (also 2nd asian soloist overall after 60 years) and I can't flex this enough.

the thing about bp is that jennie, rose and jisoo are really terrible at dancing and lisa who is mediocre looks perfect and stands out more but she also unfortunately not very talented in that field. The thing that Lisa has to thank is that she has many solos stans and yg mediaplay but she is not that famous. She always stays in the circle of kpop and nothing else e.g. Jimin and Jungkook took all records of her in few months/weeks after debut. Her fans are looping the song to make it to 1b because they are scared of Jungkook and and this can cause lisa's profile on spotify to be banned. For example she is Thai right so one would expect big numbers from her mother country but no..... Jungkook is the only artist who managed to do over 1m on spotify thai and then the rest of the members between 600/700k. She was really lucky that the song "money" went viral thanks to Squid Game because her debut was flopping terribly. No one will ever be as famous as BTS members and agencies can do all the mediaplay they want but above all the maknae line will be more famous than entire bands

No one comes close to in terms of success with BTS.

Bts’s success is very organic. I mean they’ve became very successful due to their talent, hard work and their dedication to their job. I mean they came from such a poor company and then they made the company so fucking rich. They have now started to become brand ambassadors? And after 10 years 5 members got to debut w an album. They all made it w/o any media play or dating scandals w famous idols.

I read your reply few days back but didn't get the time to reply so doing it now.

"it's not just a fan song though it's a fan song from hybe's 2nd biggest artists after BTS" and the fan song has been treated the same way as BTS's fan song and not just a solo fan song. "Hybe should have done better job with jungkook" i don't have anything to say to that.

I wasn't talking about the tweets made by music apps and what kind of engagement jk fans are giving it but i was talking about tweets made by official BH accts which were 3 overall for CTT.

As said above it's a fan song for festa and it was treated like one even if it was a solo fan song for festa.

I have seen the same tweets from jjks about jk having more monthly US listeners and i have also seen other side saying that's because of the western artists' name (for all the collabs jk had) who's had those monthly listeners. and for the cities too they said it only shows some 33 US countries or smtg like that. been some days since i read that so i don't remember the exact words from other side aka pjms but it was something like that. I'm sure the qts of those tweets from jjks must have pjms saying/explaining something in retaliation but i don't have twitter atm so i can't check it now. so yeah that's what i remember for those two things. now as for streaming farms hmm isn't this whole "streaming" thing itself is "streaming farms" ?? like creating 20-50 mails then streaming from those many accts it itself is a streaming farm cause no human is listening to same songs playing from 20-30 devices at the same time. i also do remember armys getting hit tweets regularly calling Lisa's streams from Thailand as streaming farms cause she was getting alot of her streams from Thailand and since Thailand doens't even have 1M active listeners yet but the songs getting those many streams so they used to drag her then. and now jungkook is the artist who's got the highest streams(1.2M smtg) from Thailand for all his songs which is way more than lisa but i see no one saying anything about that so i expect ppl(in general) to really shut their mouth about jm getting 600k from a country who's got 100M active listeners on Spotify. jm doing better than his 2nd week during LC release is nothing weird given the songs that grow on ppl increases their streams gradually. the recent example being Sabrina. Plus jm has always been the most popular in US which many has problem accepting hence accusing his fans of using vpns when the song be playing casually in any shops, malls etc i there..he has a big fanbase there. The increase in streams can also be because some ppl might have chosen that going solo path leaving their army era behind so working extra hard. US doens't allow vpns is what i know. For the last para i only mentioned CTT cause it's also a solo fan song so the comaparion is fair enough as you were comparing jk's fan song with new jeans's and lee Sara's digital single or album TTH songs. and i was genuinely shocked that NLG didn't debut on US give seven had 2M which is highest for a member. from 2M to no debut one does get shocked. I'll be shocked too if jm's next songs don't debut their given how well he is doing with LC and CTT was also debuted. of course the ppl not loving songs as much could become reasons too for both jm and jk.

why do you think this is happening ? I see all stans being 'not happy' coz army are ot6 and abandoning their biases.

Is it because back to back releases which I'm not so fond of because bh calm down if you want sales then let people actually earn something otherwise they are only going to saving it up to buy their fav's album.

Or is it because of jealousy towards JK ? That it's JK who got the chance and not BTS as a whole or their favs.

Or JK doesn't has a huge Fandom like we think who's actively buying or streaming for him and it's mainly depend on how gp take it ? If we look at it the success of L&R came from lotsss of streaming of gp and overall good vibe song so many fans tuned in. The dreamers got a debut of #2 in spotify again because of it being Fifa song and lot of gp tuned in. But the views for MV or buying comes purely from army and it's sooo low.

On another note, I wish hybe release stuff wisely even if they are rushing too many releases.. JITB had no CDs making it to have low sales, With you was released in an ungodly hour and according to makers it was hybe who told so making it not enough tracking day for hot100 but JM biased stans are sooo fucking strong on funds and it broke and topped iTunes record, Jin's 1st day sale on hanteo could've been easily be 1M+ if only hybe shipped it internationally on time, JK's fifa MV should've come out first and not an audio track on YouTube and 2nd day his actual performance. In this way there is no longevity for any songs because of rushed releases making boys not eligible for any winnings in these 2 years or good streaming and success they deserve.

I don't know, anon. I really don't overthink this stuff, and I don't make conspiracy theories for them. Solo releases are scheduled by company, even if we are not happy with them, the members have agreed on that and we should respect their desicion because we are not their managers. All we can do is stream, buy, and support, and the rest is not up to us.

But we already know that no Fifa song has ever done great in US charts. You can never compare it to a summer song. Americans never cared about Football World Cup or anything related to that, and all these sales are from JK fanbases, the fanbases that are saving money for his solo album for a long time. This album will be out next year, so they can't spend the funds for a Fifa song.
