Patient and Steadfast and Steady

Mirabel left her home a decade ago and is now returning.

She's... terrified.

She doesn't know what to expect, what to think, what to say.

But she's not alone, and things in the Encanto aren't quite as she'd left them.

It might just be time for her to get a miracle of her own.

Hello! I’m Demon, 23, and I live in the EST zone. This ad will be short and sweet, as it’s really more of an interest check and a dragnet for writing partners rather than a thought-out and fleshed-out plot(I am hoping to share the building of that with you). I’m going to list a short number of requirements/preferences right now:

you must be 21 or older to roleplay with me.

I prefer a 3rd person/past-tense format. I write comfortable between 3-7 paragraphs but can often do more, if my partner matches or comes close to the length of whatever I write. Visa versa, I tend to match my partner’s length per post. My starters always tend to run long, however.

I love a mix of wholesomeness and angst. I am open to and very comfortable with various dark themes, as well as smut/ERP as long as it doesn’t dominate the story. You should know that my characters are submissive types, regardless of how meek or fiery their personality is. Further details can be discussed privately.

I play male/non-binary/non-hetero-normative characters and I also prefer MxM pairings. Very rarely, I will play an AFAB character, but don’t count on it.

I roleplay mainly on Discord, but can be flexible for various platforms.

Now, onto my list of pairings, these can work with original characters.

x our characters are merfolk/sirens x I play a merfolk OC against your pirate OC(historical fantasy plot, think Pirates of the Caribbean) x One of us plays a merfolk against a scientific researcher/journalist/wildlife photographer/cryptid hunter.

Bruno x Osma (Fish Lady) headcannons:

The rats like Osma better than Bruno. Bruno pretends to be offended

Osma is a few years younger than the Madrigal triplets. Like about 5

Bruno and Osma are proud rat parents

They are child free and they are perfectly happy with that. Before Bruno disappeared maybe they would have had a child or two but now they are perfectly happy with each other and their rat children.

When they were younger Osma unknowingly helped create Hernando who is scared of nothing. She was playing pretend at the time. 10 yr old Bruno, who was already starting to get skittish around the villagers, saw as he was passing by. She originally named the character Fernando, Bruno tweaked it a bit to fit into his acting

While they did see each other around the village they didn't really interact or know one another until Osma was 25 and Bruno was 30.

They were friends first for a long time. No one really knew if they were together or not. Not even them. One day Osma turned to Bruno and asked "Are we together?"

Julieta won the bet on when they would get together

Once they did confirm to everyone else they were in fact together now Alma started "hinting" at marriage and adding to the new generation of Madrigals.

While not as superstitious as Bruno Osma is still superstitious enough to where she carries extra salt on her and wears a wooden braclet.

Bruno has a rat telenovela that he cancels each time it gets to a scene where the couple "fight" before the male lead rat walks away. Bruno has tried to write a happy ending but he usually ended ripping them up. Once out of the walls Bruno starts trying to write the ending again. Osma watched the series finale with Bruno.

The world can be cruel, especially if your name is Bruno Madrigal.

But sometimes, there are good parts.

When he leaves the Encanto and ditches the Madrigal name, Bruno learns some hard truths about the world, but he also finds acceptance and maybe even love.

Chapter 6: The Plan Moving Forward

“Sometimes, there just aren’t any good choices, and so we find ourselves doing…extraordinary things.”

“Crazy things, you mean.”

A hand reached across the table, not close enough to touch him but it still pulled focus from his mental spiral and he blinked. José regarded him steadily.

“...if it’s only he who is without sin who can throw the first stone, then I don’t have the right to pick up a rock ever again. I never should have thought I could in the first place.”

Bruno swallowed and tilted his head. “What did you do?”

For a moment José froze, the familiar stillness that came to the Encanto’s first set of elders when certain memories came to them. Bruno could almost see the scenes play out in shadows across light brown eyes, and drew a quiet breath. Something tugged at that tightness around his heart.

“Crazy things.”

The boys get drinks: José describes a movie, Bruno does so much thinking, and special guest makes an appearance.

Bruno has left behind the Encanto and the Madrigal name. But he never quite shakes the legacy, and when his village is attacked and his family threatened, he steps up.

History rhymes, but doesn’t repeat.

Sustaining an injury only Julieta can heal, his family sets out to bring him back to the Encanto.
