"He ruined their lives" 😭 literally, I get that Touya is family and all that, and there's complicated feelings amongst the Todofam BUT like it's a bit wild that they all want to talk to him(at least Enji, Fuyumi & Rei do, not sure on Natsuo), I guess it's because technically he's dying so I guess they want to change it this time 🤷‍♀️ like this time they're with him! Also why so "forgiving" or like no anger?! Shouto wanting to know Touya's favourite food, I liked it but surely he should be at least a bit angry(I guess he did critique during their fight but still) and I don't think we're meant to take that as forgiveness but that's definitely not anger or criticism! Like maybe we're to think that maybe some harsh words were shared with him off-screen(like in future visits), because sure have your guilt your grief and all that but you must have some harsh truths you got to say to him?! right?! Like I'm not necessarily against them visiting Touya, because he is dying and the family probably would heal better with closure but it's the lack of critique or anger on their part!

However, I don't think he ruined their lives completely, at least not in the sense in that they won't ever be happy again. We've got Shouto moving forward, and making a name for himself and his future seems pretty bright. Fuyumi lost her job, but she got a new one thanks to a friend etc.

Yeah, Horikoshi simplifies the situation A LOT because he wants to make a feel-good story where two such different and separated brothers talk about their favorite food. I think this is a classic "I want the plot to go there, so I don't really care if it makes sense"

Rei was not thought out as a character at all. She acts more or less the way the plot needs her to act and the way a "mother" character would. Tbh mha is not a feminist masterpiece, so I wouldn't expect any deep dives into female psychology. Uraraka vs Bakugou fight was the biggest statement ever for Horikoshi, and it's nothing new. So perhaps he had no idea what to do with someone with such a complex history as Rei's. So, yeah, she wants to talk to Touya because she is his mother and that what a mother would want to do

Fuyumi... In the manga, she appears so well put together, but god, in real life, she would need to go to therapy for 10 years, at least. Like, she represents the type of victim that forgives (in short) vs Natsuo who doesn't and lowkey Horikoshi wants to represent that both are ok, but he makes them almost a caricature? Natsuo is much more well-done but Fuyumi... Even if she forgives he father and wants him to be better and forgives her brother and wants him to die surrounded by family it doesn't mean she must NEVER get angry. Not even once. She looks like such a people-pleaser and "everyone should act nicely" and "shove your feelings deep inside" and I am not buying that shit as being ok. -A new female DETECTIVE who they’ll actually keep on for more than a season or two and we’ll get a good character arc out of her (bonus points for her being queer but we all know that’ll be the reason she disappears instantly) (also I don’t want her to be so fucking green. Make it so that she moved from another state/borough and has been working sex crimes for like, 5+ years already, someone that benson doesn’t need to babysit!)

-She could also be the sergeant if they move fin up to lieutenant and I think that’d be bad ass

-Rollins popping up more BUT, as Olivia’s friend, or a consult on a case with whatever her new job is

-More family/found family moments

-Maybe an actual court room scene once in a while, bring back some of our beloved defence attorneys and give Carisi something to DO for once

-Overall a bigger regular cast. S8/9 was PRIME for that kind of shit cause we had a captain, a sergeant, three to four detectives, an ADA, an ME, and a psychiatrist that were in basically every episode. I know that it’s likely a budget issue nowadays, but they could rotate through everyone LIKE THEY ARE DOING NOW, but with less people, it makes no sense. It made sense when there was such a larger cast cause it’d give one character an episode to show off and then they’d be gone or only have 1 line the next, they’re simply not utilizing the cast that they have right now and it’s fucking stupid and fucking sucks.

I think that’s all I’ve got for now lol. We’ll see…

Read this way back in middle school... shared mangago lists with one of my friends and recognized this one and decided to reread. Lord. Who Likes This. The story is about Kyon and his master Lucaon and theres like some plot bullshit since in this world theres these guys who are royals and got these powers that they never fuckin use and live longer too and are strong n all that. and the only way to kill one tho is to give them this special poison that is completely undetectable and the only way to cure it is if the person who administered it fixes that shit. But yeah Lucaon hates servants and Kyon is a servant and Lucaon is a classic stoic scum gong and falls in love with Kyon but only starts being nice to him once Kyon literally spends 20 chapters on the brink of death lol bro got a fever and slit his wrists and fell into an ice pond and then got a fever again and pneumonia and Lucaon went "..... ok ill be nice to you now"

the art is good for this story dont get me wrong but its really really really stiff expression wise. maybe i'm just a little stupid and i need to see a huge cartoon tear drop to tell a character is sad but for realsies I do think that the art is pretty, but the expressions when bitches are fucking dying and shit could be a little more extreme. its okay to sacrifice their pretty boy looks for one pannel trust me..

I'll admit when i was younger i re read the 20 chapters where kyon is on the brink of death like 50000 times over and over again because i loveeee suicide and i lovee when kyon tries to kill himself a million jillion times and Lucaon is like FUCKING STOP. theres like idk tiny hints of goodness. I can enjoy a good scum gong alright and I do like when Lucaon is like "brah... ive seen you cry more times than smile..... thats kinda fucked" MMMMMMM YES. FEEL BAD. FEEL REMORSE. but its just not worf it okay the manhwa sucks and its 100 chapters or some shit like that bruh moment. I also do like how at the end Kyon acknowledges that hes going to die before Lucaon and Lucaon needs to learn how to love other people than him because he doesn't want Lucaon to be stuck on him forever and ever. There’s something so weirdly profound about someone who seeks out death being unkillable. Character who thinks he represents death actually represents life. That’s something the Loki series actually did well. They definitely screwed up his character in places, but I can see the backbone of what they intended. I don’t know how to explain this, but I don’t ship Sylvie with TVA Loki, I ship her with Pre-Ragnarok Loki. Aka, I characterize TVA Loki as closer to OG Loki than he is thus far.

There’s a tiny detail about Loki that makes me go feral. You have to psychoanalyze a little, but Loki doubts his brother even cares about him, so whenever Thor says he feels betrayed and threatens him, Loki smiles. It means Thor cared. It means there’s hope. Negative attention is better than none at all. Disappointment is better than apathy. I wish I didn’t know how he feels.

He's active, I guess, but seems more compelled by external forces than by his own drive. also there's a severe lack of control and stagecraft to him. he's a bit sad clown but that's the extent of his performance.

The Magician is someone who is very active, who can throw themselves into situations and usually ride on luck and charisma and passion. They get in over their heads easily but also have a certain set of tools (internal or external, the Magician is very explicitly associated with physical focii like wand and athame and chalices, etc) that make them highly effective.

The Magician is someone who is a very mortal person, but who can feel the magic around them like a charge in the air, and they lift a tool to let lightning strike them, then channel that into their work.

Junpei hit that note right off the bat, reckless but effective, and later plagued by Imposter Syndrome (the perfect ailment for the Magician). Yosuke, I dunno yet. We'll see.

Man I hate how the live action films always butcher Transformers 😭like plz Optimus IS NOT a bloodthirsty bitch they don’t explore the characters outside of combat, that is reserved only for the human character. HUMANS in a series named after THE ROBOTS.

Idk it just pisses me off like why do the animated shows do more for the character than the live action movies? Like stop trying to force Transformers live action bruh I know that CG is expensive just animate all of it. It’s about the TRANSFORMERS my god.

Transformers gotta start taking more notes from the comics bc some of that shit is GOOD and I know everyone back in what, 2013 ish would have killed for a More Than Meets the Eye animated series. Listen, some things just work better in animation, giant robots that turn into cars happens to be one of those things.

Also I would just fucking explode from happiness if Transformers got some of that 2D/3D spiderverse-esque animation treatment a lot of recent animated movies have been getting. It’s soooo fitting because you know, Transformers is mostly comics at this point.

Listen, I just KNOW that Transformers has the potential to do so good in the modern age if the right people just handled it. The beauty of these non human creatures being so painfully human is exactly the sort of thing I think people would go crazy over nowadays.

I kinda like Earthspark, it’s a very interesting and new take on the series with the war having ended and shit, but I feel like it’s being held back by the restrictions of being a “kid’s show” and it’s kinda sad. A lot of cartoons and “kid’s shows” were beloved and enjoyed by adults.

I just wish that the Transformers brand just wasn’t super concerned with appealing to kids because listen, you’re DYING you have to understand that your viewers have grown. Almost no kids these days like Transformers. That doesn’t mean make more Michael Bay movies (it means anything but that) it just means maybe be a little more mature.

Like I said I think Transformers is just one of those cases where it can’t really help it like it just has to be animated in order to focus on more on the actual Transformers than the humans. (case and point Cyberverse) They should have the spotlight instead of the humans so there’s really no need for live action imo. I also think animation would be the safest so that you aren’t cashing out all this damn money for CGI and explosions. Animation is not just for kids, we have gone over this please I think a more mature animated Transformers series would go over well with the fans who let’s be honest, are for the most part in college by now. Even when I was a kid most kids didn’t like Transformers anymore.

accidentally educating well meaning but confused cis people seems to be my new vibe lol

im mostly stealth irl but since i'm getting top surgery this summer and a couple of irl friends were like "omg why are you getting surgery? are you dying? are you ill?", i came out to some of them bc fuck it.

anyway, one girl asked how it worked and i mentioned scar care and she was so confused. turns out she thought that every top surgery consisted of basically vacuuming the tit out and then being fine the same day. bruh.

my college tutors were baffled, but in a chill way. ended up turning my 5 minute "ok, here's how we'll tell your apprenticeship employer" meeting into a 45 minute deep dive where i accidentally radicalised one of my tutors because he genuinely thought transitioning was like a "go to the GP and you're done in a year" thing, and not a 4 year waitlist, 1 year diagnosis, blood tests, more waiting, hormones, then a constant uphill battle, a year of appointments for a referral, years of waiting for surgery, weight limits with no wiggle room, etc.

the weight limit thing really confused him, he was like "but you're not even fat!" and i was like "well, first of all, i am" and then explained the additional risks and how pretty much every surgeon in this country has a BMI limit of 30, which is part of the reason i'm glad to be able to go private bc i'd have to lose about 20kg to be eligible for most NHS surgeons, and going abroad is??? a bit too scary for me lol.

he asked about GRCs and i explained how they work and what they do and he was shook lol. i was like yeah bro, i've got 7 years of evidence and my statutory declaration but no NHS diagnosis, and they won't accept my private doctor's diagnosis bc they're not The List of Approved Doctors so i've been waiting for this NHS appointment for years.

he said i can contact him whenever i want to get stuff off my chest about this topic and for once i was like yknow what. yes it's frustrating that there's an expectation for me to educate others, but also like. there's so much misinformation online rn about how transitioning works, what legal transition looks like, what the legal rights are, that it's kind of chill. i have the energy, and if it's a well meaning person that i know well enough i'm kind of chill with it.
