Monday evening, Tuesday evening, & now Wednesday.. I’m shocked & sad over the sudden passing of my friend, Frank Daley. Since becoming friends at the end of the Blue Hand Luke Halloween show at Rustic Barn Pub (2015), Frank was always kind, welcoming, supportive, informative, and talented. His passing left a huge hole in my heart as well as so many others in the arts and music community. Frank was always kind to me.. taking the time to fill me in on life’s happenings, introducing me to Judy during their lunch outing at Shalimar (Troy-2016), and even from time to time, became a match-maker of sorts; encouraging a friend of ours whom I liked at the time to chat with me at community outings that we were at..!! Always caring, always giving back, and always loving life until its end. Thank you Frank for being my friend!! You are deeply missed. Be sure to continue to guide over me and everyone you know & tell Josh and Dave what’s happening from up above. My love, condolences and hugs to his brothers, Joe & Jack, sisters, mom, to Judy & Ruby, his band members, family, and friends during this difficult time. #SundayThrowback: On this day last year (3/7/2020), I received my certificate of completion for the Business Preparation course I took at The College of Saint Rose & attended the “7th Annual Dustin Mele Memorial Concert” at Revolution Hall!! Who would have known then that this would be the final mass gathering benefit event I attended before COVID-19 came into play. I covered this fantastic benefit event for work and it was a beautiful night to remember Dustin’s life and listen to music from “The Beatles” from Capital Region bands & musicians as “Across The Pond” @acrossthepondny, “Soul Sky” Ft. Erin Harkes @erinharkes , Josh Bloomfield @joshuadanielbloomfield , Johnny Rabb, & Heather Meaney, & “Super 400” Ft. Chris Carey @millstonestudio , Mike O’Donnell @motorbikeband , Steve Candlen @stevecandlen , and Brian Bowes. Recently, it was announced that this year’s benefit concert is postponed to Fall 2021 due to the pandemic. Please continue to donate online and support the local organizations who raise awareness to combat suicide & erase the stigma of mental health!! #SundayReflections: Happy “Sunday Funday” everybody! I had a blast supporting & attending the “6th Annual Dustin Mele Memorial Concert” last night at Revolution Hall @brownsrevolutionhall in Troy, NY!! All the bands and special guests that took part of this event were amazing to watch & dance to all evening!! Awesome job to “Soul Sky”, “Emerald City”, “The Bobby Etoll Group” & “Back Bay Brew” and “Super 400” and all of the guests for putting on an epic show!! Awesome job to the Mele-Quade family for hosting & putting on this event in memory of your son and so many others whose lives were affected by suicide, addition, & mental illness. I was surprised and sad to read about the passing of Gregg Allman, a founding member of "The Allman Brothers" this past Saturday afternoon (5/27/2017). I enjoyed listening to the band's music on the radio/CD, as well as listening to their chart topping songs being covered by local bands in the Capital Region (Bands such as "Blue Hand Luke", "Kyle Bourgault Band", "Emerald City", "E. B. Jeb", my father's band "Heat" (on a CD), "Midnight Riders", "Soul Sky", local music jams, etc.). Rest In Peace Gregg Allman!! Thank you for what you and your band had accomplished for all these years!!
