I was surprised and sad to read about the passing of Gregg Allman, a founding member of "The Allman Brothers" this past Saturday afternoon (5/27/2017). I enjoyed listening to the band's music on the radio/CD, as well as listening to their chart topping songs being covered by local bands in the Capital Region (Bands such as "Blue Hand Luke", "Kyle Bourgault Band", "Emerald City", "E. B. Jeb", my father's band "Heat" (on a CD), "Midnight Riders", "Soul Sky", local music jams, etc.). Rest In Peace Gregg Allman!! Thank you for what you and your band had accomplished for all these years!! Enjoy this short clip of local up-and-coming Country group, "Kyle Bourgault Band", paying homage to the "Allman Brothers Band" with a cover of "Ramblin' Man" that I took at this year's "4th Annual Dustin Mele Memorial Concert" held at Revolution Hall in Troy, NY.
