The Caparelli's: Family

Emily Caparelli was your typical girl next door, prom queen, queen B, angel all whirled into one smiling blonde. She eased her way through high school and the beginning of college until she met that man. Till this day Brooke doesn’t know what her father’s name is because her mom refuses to say it aloud. At 21 Emily dropped out of college with one year left to give birth to fraternal twins: Brock and Brooke.

Emily didn’t like being a mom. When the twins were young she missed their father emensely and never bonded much with the two babies. She started drinking to cope with the feeling of loss she had for her boyfriend, who ran the moment she told him she was pregnant, the anger and resentment she felt toward her kids, and anything else that seemed not to go her way. 

She managed the minimum amount of parenting, drinking through their lives. Brooke isn’t close with her mother at all. She wanted to believe as a child for far longer than her brother that her mom was actually a good person and did love them, even if it was way deep down. It wasn’t until her 6th Christmas when she had the magic of Santa and the hope that her mother was decent crushed all at once. Now, Brooke can only thank her mom for her good looks, other than that she doesn’t care much for her or the childhood she provided her and Brock with.

Brock is Brooke’s closest family. He’s her twin brother and she would honestly die for him. They bicker and fight like any siblings, but she knows Brock is the reason she turned out like a halfway decent human being and she’s more grateful than he’ll ever know. Brock is the only person Brooke truly trusts because she knows more than anything her brother will always have her back.

putting this under a read more bc i know im gonna get rambly BUT: the main idea behind this comic was that i got the mental image of helper being the first person to greet rusty in the (now) empty venture compound after jonas dies and rusty drops out. after a rewatch of the series i noticed that TECHNICALLY he wouldve seen helper again before this bc we see him in a flashback opening the car door for him as he leaves college so this comic TECHNICALLY doesnt make sense but im pretending that didnt happen. ANYWAY theres just smth so depressing to me about these two.......the fact that helper is the only one whos ALWAYS with him when we see a flashback to younger rusty. this robot loves him more than his actual father and it makes me deeply upset.
