It is impossible to derive a straight answer from the scorpion himself. He is a talent in avoidance and slippery tactics. And Midori hates it, but not for the reasons one expects. It's because she sees herself; a version of herself years prior, slipping in and out of truth's for her own convenience. A marr on society, or its best representation? It is anyone's guess. But whether they liked it or not, the dynamic has shifted. Now, it is Midori chasing for answers, and Xinyuan using everything in his power to avoid her.

"Are you finally done running?" She asks as she steps into the heat of the Hamman. The humidity moist against her skin, bemoaning the hotter climate that she is not accustomed to. There is a low chortle as she approaches the edge of the bath, assessing Xinyuan's undress. So this, too, is strategic. A way to ensure neither is armed; with blades, with poison. "What? More than five years after the fact, and you still do not trust me?" It's a rhetorical question. Why would he? Midori spent years slipping through his fingers, and now ranks higher than he in Japan's court.

"If your plan is to avoid my suspicion, you are failing fantastically." She reminds him, after removing the thick robe and slipping into the hot water across from him. "China knocks at our doors, threatening our new Emperor everyday-" She has to call Kaito her emperor. Anything else would prove just how dear his safety is to her heart. "And you've provided nothing to aid us."

He is on edge after the interrogation. Added to the genuine tension caused by the situation was his character's heightened emotions, bleeding into his own. He feels the indignation almost as if it was genuine, and thus feels the need to retreat and calm down for a while. His plans, however, would be interrupted by yet again the same face. Her tone is direct, commanding — it pisses him off.

"Must you be so loud?" Toshihisa hisses, irritation flaring in his eyes. An emotion he has been suppressing for so long, too long. His snarl shows teeth. At the party, he believed this to be a test from his superiors; now the he realizes it is not, and he is furious, snapping back into his native language. It rolls off his tongue beautifully, pleasingly, despite the harsh words.

Even whispers are too loud. Even letters, at times. And it is not just his life — he could not care less about it — on the line. "Meet me in the bathhouse, at midnight." A place largely unguarded. It should be empty at night, and whatever echo the stone walls might produce, will be muddled by the sound of running water. If he was to risk being caught, he would rather do so with a backup plan — better to be caught having an 'affair' than divulging secrets. "Follow the sound of water to the room with the fountain."

The spy is there before their meeting, ensuring the place is empty, and before the guards at the entrance end their shifts. The place is different than the bathouses he is used to — the smell, the size —, but regardless of his reason for being here, the warm water on his skin is soothing.

another day another episode of my life

I have always wanted my life to be like a movie, i have manifested it since i was a child. i would stare at the TV screen and pray that i would be one of the perfect girls who got everything. well, it happened. i get everything, the attention, i can captivate a room, i was basically famous at one point, always memorable, beautiful and gliding through life. like every movie ther have been hardships but i have overcome them. my life is a romanticized film. this past week was another sequel. i broke matt, im over matt so i dont care. i went on a date with ethan, funny enough we knew each other in college, and he has seen me out before but never said anything. we went mini golf and then we went to watch airplanes take off, he picked me up in his fancy car and we drove around the city. it was perfect. after the date he bought a plane ticket to come with me to miami for my board meeting. we went to dinners and drove around the city in a corvette. it felt like a movie, a dream. we were always laughing, talking and together. same mindset. everything makes sense why it didnt work out with matt. this is so much better. this is how i should be treated. he never out me on a pedastol he never let me pay becasue he was the man. he took care of me. he picked me up and cuddled me. he supported me and i him. he got ino an accident and the trip did take a turn by the next day things were normal. it was the best thing. multipul times i didnt think it was my life. this is unheard of. its wild, very on brnad but today he was being very weird. i dont know if he wants a relationship which makes me sad, i do like him but im not destoryed by it. i hope it works out but if not, its okay. there are opyins, the movie continues
