Putting out a request...
Hey, guys. Any Candle Wasters fans out there? If so, will you please help me? I have been working hard over the past few months to archive as much YouTube content as possible before the Big December Purge, but every time I've tried to archive literary webseries, I've been overwhelmed by the sheer amount there is. I've managed to confirm that Pemberley Digital is archived on the Wayback Machine, but The Candle Wasters do not seem to be. Does anyone know any archive of them that already exists, or any archivist with a strong stomach for all the work there is to do who can create one, or help me create one? I do not want these incredible series to disappear, but realistically, I do not think I am physically capable of saving them on my own.

Kia ora koutou,
After 4 years of being on hiatus we wanted to officially acknowledge that our filmmaking collective has disbanded.
We are so proud of all the work we made, and we loved sharing it with you all. Your gifs, analysis, letters, writing, art, and comments made us feel so lucky. Creating these stories was such a special time in our lives and we can’t thank you enough for being a part of it. We could not have made our 5 webseries in 5 years without your awhi, love, and support. We will be forever grateful for the support of our Kickstarters which allowed us to continue making series, and never forget our fandles or flamangoes.
While as a collective we have gone our separate ways, we are all continuing to be creative folks and if you follow our various social media you will see what we get up to next.

#splatoon#splatoon 3#splatfest#frye#frye splatoon#splatoween#frostyfest#springfest#summer nights#grand festival#despite me not being a Frye fan I think all her outfits are great!#splatoween Frye is absolutely beautiful#even though she doesn't really match her team the Indian representation is great#plus I love all the little details and trinkets GAH SHE'S SO PRETTY#I love Frostyfest Frye about equally#she's just as gorgeous now with bright beautiful winter colors and a shimmering mask#also gotta love the little top hat#I know I said I love the color pink but MAN Summer Nights Frye is too good#all the cool blues combined with the warm yellows#not to mention the cool little details and patterns#it fits summer PERFECTLY#it makes me want to go swimming#MAN WHY WASN'T SHIVER'S AS GOOD#I do still like Springfest Frye#My love of pink prevails and the touches of turquoise are pretty#just wish there was a bit more y'know#I'm not sure why I don't like Grand Festival Frye as much as the others and how everyone else does#yeah the horns are cute and it's cool seeing her legs#I dunno something's just missing for me

where are all the 200k word post-day of unity fics where alador is going through a nasty and increasingly messy divorce and trying to help rebuild the boiling isles and also fixing his relationship with his kids but he's also struggling with having his own autonomy again and his own guilt over not being an actual father to his kids and he doesnt know who is outside of his responsibilities of work/family bcus he never had actual friends once he left school and once upon a time alador was the one to show darius there's more to life than what you can do for other people and now darius has the opportunity to help alador relearn the same thing and maybe together they can both rediscover what real love feels like again after years of bitterness
#krav talks#toh#aladarius#dalador#also alador is autistic and amity inherited it from him#and darius simultaneously figures out how to be a safe person for hunter again by slowly rebuilding the trust between him and alador#bcus hunter is also autistic but is more similar to alador on the spectrum than amity#and darius has to like. re-remember how to accommodate in those specific ways so he doesnt make alador OR hunter close themselves off again#but its not dadrius at first bcus hunter is staying with camila#OH ALSO it actually includes camila taking on an active role in her childrens' lives on the boiling isles#like she often goes to visit and becomes actual friends with the other adults in luz & hunter's lives#including darius. she and darius get along quite well. she is like a diluted form of luz's intense and raw Pure Goodness#and she's more grounded and is like the sturdiest tree in the forest and her company is as refreshing as the feeling of human rain#where luz is as bright and as intense as a roaring bonfire in the summer#camila is an ever-burning candle on a moonless night#she gives nothing but clarity and relief. she doesnt burn as bright as her daughter but that doesnt lessen the impact of her presence#sorry i love camila so much.

Im so mentally ill right now pls hand me my vitamin d pills i need to be fixed, i haven't felt sunlight upon my skin for a week and it's raining over the snow so it's all sloppy and slippery and dark out so i can't go anywhere without getting my feet soaked and my inlaws are asking me what i want for christmas like specifically which means i have to share my interests but i don't want to be perceived right now because I'm feeling the winter paranoia/madness and also i had to take the trashcan out yesterday and faceplanted in the snow and my glasses are all scratched up so i think im going to need new ones and if i want to go ANYWHERE i need to defrost my fucking car on the daily and i hate it. I hate winter i HATE IT. And i have an exam on friday as well as work and a christmas party to attend. I need to move to the forest and become one with nature, just leave society behind and live like Isak in Growth of the soil even though i fucking hate Knut Hansun, that nazi bitch.
#the only thing i have the energy for is apparently scouring ao3 for fics to read through my very specific search methods#and im reading stuff im NOT proud of at all (very cringe) so no im not giving any fic recs#i need the sun please god i miss the sun sooo much give it back aaaaaa#me in the summer: i miss it being dark at night i miss sleeping#me in the winter: i have deficiencies summer me could never understand#why did my ancestors (my danish grandmother and grandfather from bergen) decide to settle in the mental torture part of norway#i need to LEAVE im going INSANE i don't want to live like this#every season is its own kind of hell‚ the only semi good one is autumn and it's usually too short anyway‚ but if it's too long#it's as bad as winter because it gets dark without the snow to bring some kind of light to the day so you're just depressed#and then it gets icy but there's no snow so your car gets zero (NIL) grip on the road and then ur life flashes before ur eyes#abd spring gives you allergies and a low sun so you can't wven drive comfortably#and summer is too hot and it's bright all the time and like. it's FINE. im used to it. i just put up some decent curtains.#but it's disorienting and my internal clock is always completely and utterly fucked.#and i know im raving like a madman right now but i slept for like 13 hours and i have the mental clarity to know im going a little crazy#and i just need to get it out of my system
