black violets and baby's breath | modern!azriel x bridesmaid!reader
summary: feyre and rhys are finally getting married! the tension between you and azriel is palpable.
a/n: part two will be coming soon! once i get my essay done lmao. i hope you enjoy! (i didn’t edit this apologies)
Cobalt blue hugged your form in a silky sheen, falling just above your white ankle heels. You let out a shuttering breath as you smoothed the fabric down, fiddling with the sparkling jewelry that adorned your ears, wrists, and neck.
You were nervous. Feyre was getting married, your best friend. It was so thrilling to be apart of her wedding party, but you couldn’t help the racing of your heart at the thought of being escorted down the aisle by none other than Azriel, your long term crush and childhood friend. You eyed yourself in the mirror. It was obvious that you looked stunning–cobalt was your color, and a polished look seemed to compliment your angelic fae-like features.
However, you couldn’t find it within yourself to step out of the room. You chuckled sardonically to yourself, fluffing your hair, reapplying your lip gloss, doing anything to delay your inevitable exit. You weren’t even the bride, yet it felt as though you had pre-wedding jitters.
A knock sounded on the door, and you closed your eyes. One deep breath in, out through your mouth, and you opened the oak door. Mor stood on the other side, her brown eyes dazzling.
“You ready?” She squealed, excitement palpable in her buzzing form. You nodded hesitantly and took her hand. She squeezed it, a comforting gesture that helped soothe your rampant nerves.
“It’ll be okay. Az is going to think you’re beautiful. I mean, he always does, but goddamn do you look like a goddess right now.” That forced a giggle from your throat, prompting a smile to form on Mor’s striking features.
“There’s that gorgeous smile! Now come on.” Your blonde friend dragged you down the stairs, causing you to stumble in your heels. Once you got to the wooden staircase, you descended hand in hand. Nerves encased your soul, bees buzzing and stinging in your stomach.
Yet, once you rounded the curve of the stairs and your eyes locked on Azriel’s hazel ones, all the nerves seemed to fade away. His eyes widened, brows raising, lips turning upward in an imperceptible smile that only you could catch. You bowed your head, cheeks aflame as you continued your decline.
Mor had disappeared, arms wrapped around Emerie, leaving you alone with the railing gripped between bone white fingertips. Azriel outstretched his hand and you took it gingerly, letting him guide you down the last few steps and onto the natural wooden floors of Feyre and Rhys’ River House.
The two of you stood like that for a moment, no words exchanged, just drinking each other in. Azriel wore a black tux, a cobalt tie adorning his neck, accentuating the tattoos that peeked through the black collar of his shirt. His ears held their signature silver hoops and secondary studs, his fingers adorned with bands of silver and stone. He had slicked back his dark hair and it looked nice, yet all you wanted to do was muss it up to its usual messy demeanor.
Azriel spoke first, licking his lips and smacking them before he spoke. “You look…wow. Just phenomenal, Little Star.” He hummed, appreciation coating his tone. He raised your hand, twirling you around in a slow circle, eyeing the slit that went up to your hip and the low V that showed off your collarbones. The blush that filled your features warmed your skin to a feverish glow from his compliments.
“You look wonderful yourself, Azriel.” You murmured, looking him up and down slowly, drinking in every aspect, every detail of the godly male in front of you. He smirked, biceps flexing ever so slightly beneath the fabric of his tux. He held out the crook of his arm as the music began to filter in through the hallway, signaling the start of the ceremony.
“Are you ready, my beautiful bridesmaid?” You accepted his arm gratefully, unusually quiet within this newfound adoration that he was throwing at you.
“Lead the way, my handsome groomsman.” You replied, swallowing thickly. His arm was rock hard beneath your touch, an obvious indication of his and Cassian’s daily gym ventures.
The two of you walked arm in arm to the french doors that lead to the backyard wedding that Feyre and the rest of the wedding party had set up beautifully.
Cassian and Nesta led the line, the oldest Archeron dressed in a stunning dark red dress that matched Cassian’s tie. Then came Elain and Lucian in sparkling gold akin to the setting sun. Mor and Emerie followed, adorned in midnight purple. Behind them trailed Amren and Varian in their signature North Sea blue.
At the strike of the piano, Azriel gave you a small smile and stepped forward, leading you through the glass doors. The sun was blinding, but even through your squinted eyes you could see the flower arch at the alter filled with calla lilies and black violets, baby’s breath dotted in between. You and Azriel floated on a walkway of white peony petals, eyes hardly leaving each other’s, unable to stop drinking each other in.
It was as if a tension had electrified the air between the two of you the second he had set his sights on you when you meandered down the staircase. Your heart was a doldrum in your chest, begging to break through your ribs, taut and strained. As if Azriel could sense your trepidation, he squeezed your arm in a comforting touch.
He leaned down, breath against your ear, the smell of cedar encompassing your senses. “Breathe, Little Star.” You did as told, lungs expanding, nerves unfolding into the atmosphere and disappearing on the wind. Azriel’s thumb traced patterns into the skin of your forearm, soothing you further.
Your eyes left his, landing on Rhys at the altar. His eyes were alight, a slight smirk on his lips. He glanced between you and Azriel with a raised brow. A blush rose on your cheeks. His smirk widened, shoulders peacocking as though he knew he was right. Which, he usually was, you thought. You wouldn’t dwell on it–at least, not now. It was Feyre’s day, not yours.
The song came to an end as you and Azriel reached the dais, parting to reach your respected positions with you on the left and him on the right. As you turned, he grabbed your hand, extending your arm and bringing it up to press a kiss to the soft skin. Without another word he turned, leaving you stunned. Mor had to pull you to her side, her excitement palpable.
“Oh my gods!” She exclaimed, but you hardly heard her as the music started back up and the doors opened. Feyre stepped out, her black dress sparkling in the sun. Sheer fabric covered her arms and her her chest, flowing down into an intrinsic pattern of swirls similar to that of hers and Rhys’ tattoos. It was skin tight down to her knees, the skirt billowing out below, covering her black heels. She looked exquisite. It was impossible for you to take your eyes off of her, and if you were able to look around, you would notice that it was the same for everyone else.
When she reached the altar, Rhys took her hands, helping her up the marble steps with tears lining his waterline. They lined yours, as well.
Gwyn stood behind the couple, hands clasped in front of her, a smile etched onto her face. Words flowed out of her lips, Feyre and Rhys repeating every syllable as salty water flowed freely down their cheeks until the final I do.
Rhys dipped his wife in a passionate kiss, oblivious to the ovation happening around them from their closest friends. When they rose, Feyre raised her bouquet in the air, pride hanging heavy around her, a glow emanating from her skin.
Everyone rose in unison as if in prayer.
“To the new Mrs. and Mr. Carynthian!” Mor called out next to you, her voice carrying through the garden. Voices echoed after her, singing reverants to the newlyweds. As she walked back down the aisle, hand in hand with Rhys, bouquet in hand, everyone cheered as they passed. They congregated behind them, tears flowing, applause echoing through the space as if it were an ancient cathedral.
Feyre stopped before she entered the house. She turned towards everyone, a grin plastered on her lips, a wink highlighting her stormy eyes. She threw her bouquet high up in the air. Hands reached up toward the Mother, itching to be the one to catch the bundle of violets.
They fell gingerly into your waiting palms as if there was some kind of divine interference. You blinked slowly, locking eyes with Feyre. They sparked with mischief before her and Rhys disappeared behind the French doors.
Your heart pulled taut again as you fiddled with the black petals, their touch akin to a feather within your fingertips. Lost in thought, you didn’t notice the shadow towering over you until a hand landed on your chin, tilting your head so your eyes met Azriel’s.
“How was that for a ceremony?” He asked, breathless, eyes wide, pupils dilated. You swallowed, chest fluttering.
“It was beautiful.” Your voice came out within less than a whisper. He smiled, one only reserved for you, as he tucked a strand of your hair behind an ear. His hand stayed there for a moment before pulling back, as if he were debating about running his fingers along the length of your cheek.
“You caught the bouquet, too.” You glanced down at the flowers in question, their fragrant smell filtering through your lungs every time you inhaled.
“I did. I don’t know why the universe gave it to me though, I’m not even close to getting married.” The words fell out of your mouth haphazardly before you could stop them. Azriel chuckled, hands shoved into his pockets, tensing within the linen slacks.
“Have you ever thought about getting married?” Heat rose from your neck to your cheeks. You hadn’t, honestly. The only person you could dream of marrying was him, yet you knew that was far fetched. Even with the energy buzzing around the two of you, the idea would fade within a week. It was just the presence of a wedding, you thought. Nothing would change. Azriel’s hazel eyes were intense, gazing directly into your soul for what seemed like eternity until Mor bumped your arm.
“Come on! We have to get ready for the reception.” You smiled at him as Mor dragged you away by the arm, your eyes never leaving his even as you disappeared behind the same doors that Feyre did. As you and your blonde friend climbed the same steps you had descended only an hour ago, the thought of marrying Azriel swirled through your mind like a tornado, wreaking havoc on any other thought that was there. Maybe it was possible. Maybe Azriel was interested in you. Only time would tell, and maybe, at the reception, the tension between the two of you would lift and reveal the secrets that were hidden beneath hardened hearts.

Author's Note: this was the first one-shot I'd ever written on AO3 and decided to post here as well 🤠🥃
JACK DANIELS MASTERLIST | FULL MASTERLIST
You aren't looking forward to the bachelorette party. You don't even like weddings, yet somehow you've been roped into being part of your old college roommate's wedding party simply because you ran into her at the grocery store a few months back. It was only when you had the bridal shower that you realized you were one of thirteen bridesmaids. Great. Now you'll feel even more invisible than you already do.
You've been in a slump lately, and the only thing bringing out of it is your devilishly handsome coworker Jack Daniels, aka Agent Whiskey. You're an Information Security Specialist for the Statesmen, an ultra-secret espionage agency, so naturally you keep the details of your job pretty hush-hush. Whiskey, as you affectionately call him, is one of your few confidantes, despite the fact that he flirts with you at every turn. You admit to yourself that it's a nice distraction from your loneliness, even if you feel his flirtatiousness is just a bit of fun for him, his own distraction.
You take your time in dressing up for the night: a spaghetti strap black minidress with a plunging neckline and silver cowgirl boots. At the bar you meet up with your fellow bridesmaids and the bride-to-be, who are all in shades of pink and white, near exact replicas of each other, nearly indistinguishable. You stick out like a sore thumb and you know it.
The bridesmaids want to take shots so you take some with them, hoping your anxiety will dilute just a little. Your inhibitions are lowered just a little, but not enough to go out to the dance floor with the others. You watch as others watch them, in admiration as they laugh and gracefully (despite the Buttery Nipple shots they'd all consumed just minutes ago) and wish you could be part of them. You hang back at the bar, politely declining offers to dance from men who come by to not-so-subtly ogle you. You feel like a piece of meat. Perhaps it was a bad idea to come out, knowing you hate places like this. However, just as you're about to order a Lyft, you get an incoming call from Whiskey himself.
Confused and blushing you go to a quieter place of the bar, which is still very loud. "Hello?" you practically shout into the phone.
"Hey darlin'!" you hear Jack's voice on the other end. "You called me?"
"Um.. no, I didn't.."
He chuckles, warm and low in your ear. "Yes you did, darlin'. I was hopin' you were okay."
You quickly check your call log and sure enough, you'd called him about fifteen minutes ago, when you and the bridesmaids were doing shots. "I must have butt-dialed you," you shout back, giggling.
"Aw, lucky me," he drawls. "That pretty ass was thinkin' about me?"
You're too flustered to reply.
"Where are you anyway? Loud as hell over there."
"I'm at a bar for a bridesmaid party."
"That one you were talkin' about earlier today? No invite, huh?"
You giggle again. "It's for women only."
"Exactly! That's my kinda good time!" You hear him chuckle again.
"Actually it's kinda lame. I'm thinking of calling it a night."
"Don't you dare," he says with mock authority. "Wait there a minute and I'll be on my way. Text me the address."
You hang up and text him, wondering what he's up to. You've never hung out with him after work, even with all the flirting you've both done. You think it's strictly professional with a touch of playfulness, but you've never been one hundred percent sure.
You hang out at the bar, wanting to be visible to him when he arrives, but it's only after you're returned from the ladies' room checking your makeup, outfit and hair, that you see him, well the back of him, and he's mingling with some of the bridesmaids, who are obviously taking a much-needed alcohol break from dancing.
You gently touch his shoulder. "Hey there, stranger."
He turns, smiling, and the look in his eyes becomes one of pure lust. He drinks you in, unabashedly. "Damn darlin', you look so good it hurts," he drawls.
You glance at the bridesmaids, most of whom are checking him out with flagrant interest. "Did you meet everyone? Kaitlyn's the bride-to-be," you introduce them.
"I have, and her husband's one lucky sonofabitch, if I may say so," he places a gentlemanly kiss on the bride's hand and she in turn blushes. "Who's your friend?" she asks.
"A coworker," you say mysteriously, glancing at Jack, who has now turned his whole attention to you.
"You wanna dance, darlin'?" he asks, extending his hand to you.
Your stomach drops, just because you're pretty shy about dancing, and if anything you'd like to leave him with the impression that you can at least move in rhythm. "Maybe the next song," you suggest. "But first, how about a couple of shots? On me."
He smiles and shakes his head. "Darlin', I can't allow that. My treat," he insists, and orders a couple shots of whiskey for you and him.
"Had to be whiskey, huh?" you tease him, taking the shot glass in your hand.
"Of course." He lifts his glass to yours for a toast. "To coworkers getting to know each other better," he says, and there's a twinkle in his deep brown eyes that's hard to miss.
"To getting to know each other better," you grin and down the shot. It's like fire in your throat and stomach.
"Too much for ya to handle?" he teases, having downed his with ease.
"Depends.. which Whiskey are you talking about?" you tease back, feeling a little surge of confidence that either comes from Jack or from the shot.
"You're a little firecracker," he says in a low voice, his eyes blatantly going over every line and curve of your face, and downwards to eyeball your neck, the curve of your breasts. You wonder what he's imagining.
"Firecrackers are fun but dangerous," you warn him with a cheeky smile.
"We both know I'm all about that danger. Ain't nothin' I can't handle.." a subtle lift of his brows suggests he means more than mere flirtation.
"Is that a challenge?" You step closer to him, and the scent of his cologne, notes of leather and tobacco, catches your attention.
He notices your stance, the way you've shifted from a sweetheart wallflower to a provocative temptress. "What if it is?" he whispers into your ear, his breath tickling your skin and raising goosebumps on your flesh.
You follow his lead and whisper into his own ear, your lips grazing his cheek. "Then I accept.." you keep the ghost of a kiss upon his freshly shaven cheek and slowly pull back, looking into his eyes and seeing a newly effected desire there. "Dance with me." You bring him out to the floor, having completely lost sight of the bridesmaids. Nothing exists now but you and Jack and this chemistry that's been building between you.
His hands are on your hips as "Neon Moon" starts to play, a slow and soulful song that suits the mood you're both in. The colored lights sweep across the room, casting blue and scarlet and amber glows across the crowd. You're lost in each other, in the touch of his hands on your hips, the way he caresses them, loving their shape. You rest your hands on his broad, strong shoulders.
"You're a good dancer, Jack. You know what they say about men who are good dancers," you tell him suggestively.
"Really? What do they think, Gorgeous?" He pulls you even closer so your bodies are practically flush together.
"That they're good in bed," you answer with an arch of your brow, as if to imply it was beyond your belief.
He looks at you like a man looking at his first meal in a week of starvation. "Do you want to find out just how good of a.. dancer I am?"
Heat blooms across your body, and your pussy clenches in response. It only takes a moment to imagine what it would be like, riding this cowboy. You see him and you realize you have him right where you want him. "There is something I've been dying to ride.." you gently tug his shirt to bring him closer, as if in a kiss..
For a moment he looks like he's going to melt from the heat coming off you. "Oh yeah, darlin'? And what exactly is that?" he smirks.
Your face lights up. "That mechanical bull!" You grab Jack's hand and lead him across the huge barroom to the line to ride the bull. Sneaking a look at his face, Whiskey looks bewildered, but manages to cover it just in time. "That stupid thing? I can think of something more fun to ride," he smirks again and you resist the urge to drag him outside and let him have his way with you in the alleyway.
You only smirk back at him as the operator calls you to come forward and get atop the bull. Getting on top is easy, but staying on will be hard. As soon as you're situated, the bull starts spinning and bucking, slowly at first to let you get your bearings. You laugh and hold on, your body moving with the bull, anticipating its every move. Your hips grind down to the leather, thighs locked tight as you move your pelvis forward. Catching Whiskey's eye you blow him a kiss.
Seeing that the ride is winding down, he goes up to the operator and pays him to let you go again. This time, apparently on Whiskey's orders, the ride goes slower, allowing you to continue your little show for Jack. Keeping eye contact with him, you imagine it's him beneath you. Suddenly you gasp as you realize the bull is moving faster, and you watch as Jack's expression turns dark, lustful. You bite your lip as the speed increases. Pleasure pools in your belly, more specifically between your thighs, and the first stirrings of pleasure begin to radiate outward to your limbs, You rear your head back, face pointed up in ecstasy, and a rolling thunder starts in your veins.
You don't realize it until it's happening but you're being led away by Whiskey to a small corridor where no one can see you, and buries his face in your neck. "Tell me to stop if that's what you want," he says, his voice strained. "But by all that's holy, you are the hottest god damn thing I've ever seen."
But by then your leg is already hooked around his hip, shamelessly rubbing against him, the pleasure from the bull ride still fresh in your body. "I don't want you to stop," you whisper.
He growls low in his throat, which you dare to kiss, grazing your teeth across his skin. He gives a sharp hiss, and when he presses against you you feel proof of his desire, as if you needed any more. His hand goes beneath the hem of your dress and slides up, finding the edge of your lace panties. "Black?" he murmurs, his lips still against your neck.
"How did you know?"
You feel the curve of his smile against your skin. "I always know." His fingers trace your inner thighs before dipping into your heated, slick cunt. "Christ woman, you're soaking wet. For me." With his fingers inside you he kisses you, and you tip your face up to lean into his kiss, He slowly pumps two thick fingers inside as he slips his tongue into your mouth, mimicking the movements, earning a deep moan then a whimper from you.
"Watching you ride that bull, I just know it was me you were thinkin' of," he whispers huskily against your ear. "God damn if you aren't the most gorgeous thing I ever laid eyes on,, been wantin' you a long time, darlin'."
Through the haze of desire you smile, finding the temerity to feel touched by his words. "Took you long enough to show it," you tease, cupping the back of his head as you kiss, leaning against the wall as he fingers your wetness.
He groans again. "As much as I want to continue, I'd like to find a more comfortable place to fuck you." He pauses to look to you for consent. "That is, if you still want this."
You reply by palming his rigid cock, already threatening to poke through his tailored trousers. "I absolutely do.."
In a flurry of movement he brings you outside. The bachelorette party is the last thing on your mind, if you even still remember it, All you can think of is being with Jack. He leads you to his truck, the spacious backseat warm and inviting. He's on you again as that door is closed, His mouth finds yours, tongue claiming you. "I want to be gentle, but I don't think I have it in me right now," he admits.
You shake your head. "I'm not asking for gentle, I'm asking you to fuck me, Jack."
You've never called him by his name before, never been so informal with him, but the look in his eyes tells you it's perfectly all right by him. He lays you down on the seat. "Can I get a little taste of ya, darlin'? Been wonderin' what you'd taste like since the day we met."
This draws a sweet whimper from you, to hear he'd always wanted you. "God yes, please.."
He gingerly removes your panties, kissing his way back up your calves and thighs once they're off. You blush when he breathes in your scent. His hands cup the backs of your thighs, hooking them over his shoulders and you can't help but feel exposed. "Christ.. woman, you're gonna be the death of me," he mutters before taking off his hat and leaning in to devour you.
You give a sharp gasp as you lean your head back against the seat, hands mussing his hair as he laps at your wet cunt, licking up your folds and dipping his tongue inside you. He gently laps at your clit, using more pressure with each lick until he cups his lips around it and sucks, listening to how much you like it, how much more you need.
"Fuck!" you shout, a victorious roar as you feel yourself so close to that edge, and Whiskey is happy to let you use him for your pleasure. His tongue draws shapes upon your clit, alternating between swiping with his tongue and suckling it. Only when you come and he sweeps across every fold to drink up your juices does he stop.
You practically push him down, effectively trading places with him as you kneel before him. "My turn.."
His gaze turns dark even as his face lights up. "Hell, I'm not sayin' no to that, darlin'."
Smiling, you undo his trousers and pull them down with his briefs. His cock springs out, thick and long, perfectly curved, smooth, perfect. "God, I just knew you'd have a big dick.." you whisper, tracing with your tongue from root to head.
Whiskey exhales, watching you work on him. He palms the back of your head but doesn't urge you any further than what's comfortable for you. You use your hand to stroke his base while getting the first few inches of him into your mouth, daring to deep-throat him, wanting to see that look on his face, wanting to see him go crazy for you.
"Jesus, darlin'. I'm so on edge right now I might just burst if you keep doin' that," he chuckles. "Get on up here and ride me, gorgeous."
You feel your heart pound in every extremity of your body, especially your cunt, as you get up and straddle him, hiking up your dress. He stops you a moment and caresses your cheek. "This okay with you, darlin'? I have protection if you prefer.."
You smile and shake your head. "I'm on birth control, and I'm clean."
He smiles back. "Ah good. I'm clean too, darlin'." You know it has to be true, as the agents do periodic physicals and are prohibited from missions for the slightest findings.
Kissing him, you rise over him, using your hands to find him and bring him into you. He slides in without any resistance, and you take your time trying to get as much of him inside as you can. "Fuck, Jack," you whisper as he fills you.
Through the pleasure of connecting your bodies he smirks. "Is that an order?"
You giggle a little. "Looks like I'm the one doing the fucking." Just as you say that, he pushes up from under you, moving you up, filling you up just a little bit more. "God!!"
Sinking his teeth in to his lower lip he grabs onto your hips and moves you how he wants, watching your body for clues on what you like and what you want more of. He pulls the front of your dress down and frees your breasts, suckling on each nipple at a time as you melt on top of him, inadvertently letting more of him inside. He's fucking you and you're fucking him.
You grab his hat from the seat next to you and put it on yourself, riding your cowboy. Whiskey watches you, whispering your name, calling you his Cowgirl, bucking his hips up into you until he bottoms out, then lifting you with long strokes until you push him down to grind down. His thumb flicks over your clit, swirling the letters of your name and his, hearing your wild moans and shuddering sighs. You've never come so hard or so fast. You feel the first fluttery feelings deep within, and they shoot through your veins, lighting up your entire nervous system, and you scream his name as your cunt clenches spasmodically around his cock, and soon you feel him spill his cum deep inside you, spurting its warmth to your insides.
It takes a moment for you to come back to earth, and when you do, Whiskey is kissing you, tenderly, with the remainder of the passion you two just shared. "That was.. wow," you sigh, feeling shy around him now, of all times.
"It was spectacular, darlin'. I hope you know I'm gonna want you again," he puts his forehead to yours.
"Is that so?" You blush with elation.
"Of course darlin'. I'm hopin' to make this a long-term association, if you're so willin'. But on one condition."
You raise a brow. "Already calling the shots, huh? What's the condition?"
"That the only thing you ride is me. Ain't no way I'm being upstaged by a damn mechanical bull ever again."
You laugh, and he loves the sound of it. "We'll put a pin in that conversation."
He strokes your hair. The electric light from the bar sign lights up the inside of the truck, magenta and cyan. "You comin' home with me tonight, Cowgirl?"
You smile and give him a soft kiss. "You bet, Cowboy."

chapter thirty -> bonus chapter (wedding bells)
"SO HELP ME GOD!"
You physically jolt, awakening yourself from your slumped position on probably the most uncomfortable chair you'd ever had the misfortune of sitting on. Stretching your back out, your eyes found themselves darting towards Myeong, who was storming into the room you'd been in for the past half hour.
Despite not being a bridesmaid, you'd been roped into acting as though you were the wedding co ordinator. You didn't mind much, since it gave you something to focus on, rather than sit idly like your poor friends as they waited for Myeong to walk the isle.
"I swear to fuck, if I'm still friends with those bitches after this wedding, it will be a miracle," Myeong huffs, turning to you with an expression that could only be described as pure fury. "They've lost my damn veil. How am I supposed to walk the isle without a veil?"
You smirk at her, standing up from your slumped position on a rather uncomfortable chair and handing her the veil that you'd found discarded in the room you were currently in, presumably by Myeong's friends (and unfortunately, her bridesmaids). The stress dissipates from Myeong's face as she squeals, grabbing the veil and giving you an air kiss.
"This is why your my favourite person on this green earth," she sighs dreamily, as you take the veil she hands you and turn so you can fit it to her head. She looks at herself in the mirror beside her, fretting with her hair and smoothing down her pristine white wedding dress. "Well, except my soon to be husband, of course."
It's comical that you hear a knock on the door, Changbin's voice echoing from outside.
"Myeong?"
Myeong's eyes fill with terror as she screams, covering herself up as if that would have any effect in stopping Changbin from seeing her dress.
"NO! Fuck off, you can't see my dress!" She screams, turning to you and moving you to be in front of her. You can't help but openly laugh at the action, trying to hold it in because you just know Myeong's nervous about walking the isle in (hopefully) fifteen minutes.
"I'm not coming in, idiot. I just wanted to make sure you're ready!" Changbin shouts back, and you can practically picture his smirking laugh.
"Okay," Myeong replies cautiously, turning to look at herself in the mirror for the millionth time. "I'm almost ready!"
"Okay, my sisters coming in, by the way!" Changbin shouts again, before presumably disappearing when his sister opens the door and walks through. You loved spending time with Changbin's sister when you were kids, and you hadn't seen her in so long until you'd reunited with her (and all the other guests) last night.
Changbin and Myeong had decided to have their wedding in Jeju Island, taking control of an entire lavish hotel for the weekend. The whole hotel was decked out in decorations, and it looked beautiful, though you hadn't been able to spend much time admiring it.
"Jesus, Myeong. I adore you, but your friends are..." Changbin's sister starts, trailing off as she makes a face and can't find the words she needs. You cut in instead.
"Uptight and annoying?" You finish, looking at Myeong with a laugh. You two had bonded over how incompetent her bridesmaids were over the last couple months.
"Precisely," Changbin's sister winks, moving her long brown hair behind her ears. Her short dandelion yellow dress was absolutely gorgeous, and she looked beautiful, though you knew she'd be a balling mess as soon as she saw her little brother standing at the altar.
It was nothing on Myeong's dress, though. Her extravagant white gown had cost a pretty penny, but it was so worth it. Unlike the ballgown you thought she'd opt for, she had decided upon a form fitted, satin gown, paired with the most gorgeous silver heels you'd ever seen - she looked like a princess. Her hair was down, the front pieces pinned back with diamonds, and you may or may not have shed a tear when you saw her after you'd gotten ready yourself this morning.
"Do I look okay?" Myeong asks, turning to look between both you and Changbin's sister. "Tell me the truth. If I don't, it will just ruin what's supposed to be the best day of my life, no biggie."
You don't know whether to laugh or cry at poor Myeong, opting to give her an air hug instead. No way would you ever risk making a mark on her dress, not after she'd spent the last five hours getting ready. Yeah, five full hours. She'd been up since four in the morning, and you reckon she'd be out like a light by nine pm latest.
"You look absolutely beautiful," you say honestly. She looks up at you with her big Bambi eyes.
"Really?"
Changbin's sister hums, looking Myeong up and down and nodding approvingly. "I would put thousands on the fact that you're the most gorgeous person currently on earth."
Myeong cracks a smile at that, taking a deep breath, focusing her attention on Changbin's sister to ask her, "Did you need me for something important or did you just want to hype me up before I walk the line?"
"Actually, I came to get her," Changbin's sister points a thumb at you, turning to face and talk to you directly. "You're boyfriend is getting worried Myeong's murdered you or something, and he wont shut up, so please come and...I dunno, shut him up?"
You laugh, knowing Hyunjin is probably whining like a baby without you. Even after months of dating, he was still as clingy as ever.
"Sounds like Hyun," you turn to Myeong. "Shall I get your dad? He should be waiting in the room with your bridesmaids and Chan, and I think they could both use some saving right about now."
"Yes, yeah," she says, smiling. "God, dad's going to ball his eyes out when he sees me. Tell Chan he only needs to spend ten more minutes max with them, and go kiss your boyfriend since I can't kiss mine until he's my husband."
You blow her an air kiss, letting Changbin's sister take your wrist and lead you into the other room. Chan practically jumps at you as the door opens, moving away from the three girls trying to drag him into conversation to his left. Changbin's sister goes to Myeong's dad, letting him know she's ready for him to see her and prepare to walk the isle, before heading through to the main room where everyone is waiting.
"Fuck me," Chan hisses, widening his eyes as you walk over to him, looking dashing in his black suit. "Once Myeong and Changbin are married I hope I never see those girls again."
"That makes two of us," you chuckle. "You ready for your big moment?"
"Oh yeah, I'm under strict instructions from Dambi on how I should walk with her down the isle," he groans quietly, trying to avoid the prying ears of the three girls behind him. You chuckle at him, patting his shoulder. "I'm not kidding. She made me practice synchronising our steps like a billion times."
"Just think about getting to spend the rest of the day with Jaehwa and everyone," you remind him, watching as his face lights up at the mention of his girlfriend. He gives you a quick side hug, careful not to muck up your dress.
"Bets on that Hyunjin is whining like a baby about missing you?" He laughs, letting you go to where you needed to be - sitting on your bench, beside your boyfriend and the rest of your friends.
"Oh, he already is," you smile, watching Chan roll his eyes. "That's why I've been sent away."
"He's so whipped," Chan laughs, shaking his head as you leave the room, following the rows of flowers and decor to the room holding all the guests. You try to make your entrance as discreet as possible, since you'd be the last person to enter the room until Myeong's big moment, but of course as you walked down the isle to the front of the room, all eyes were on you.
They instantly turned around again, clearly disappointed you weren't the bride, and you chuckled to yourself as you neared the third bench from the front, where Seungmin, Jeongin and Hyunjin were staring at you. Changbin, who had already made his way to the altar, standing up at the front and facing you all, rolls his eyes at you with a smile. You slide into the bench beside Hyunjin, watching as Jisung turns to look at you from the bench in front of you.
"Way to ruin the moment," he scoffs. "Just as we finally thought Myeong was ready to get this show on the road, and it's you."
"I think my ass has lost all feeling," Felix contributed to the right of him, just as Minho turns behind him from Jisung's left to look at you all. "You look pretty, though."
You smile warmly at him, trying to flip Jisung off in a low-key way, since your mother (and all of the boys, minus Hyunjin's and Minho's, as they were both swamped with work and couldn't get the time off) were a couple rows behind you. Hyunjin absentmindedly places a hand on your knee and squeezes gently, giving you a grin.
"Took her long enough to get ready," Jeongin scoffs. "I wanted to take photos with her before Myeong took her away all morning and she didn't get out the room until 8am."
"That definitely wasn't because she was getting ready, Innie," Minho says, giving you and Hyunjin a smirk and an eyebrow wiggle.
"Getting undressed, more like," Seungmin adds cheekily. You reach past your boyfriend to swat at him, shooting Minho a pointed glare.
"At least Hyun will stop crying like a baby now," Jeongin rolls his eyes, to which your boyfriend only sends him a grin, making Jeongin fake gag.
"Shut up, all of you," you hiss. "Not in the place of worship."
"This isn't even a church," Jisung points out with a roll of his eyes. "We're in a fucking hotel."
"No swearing, either!" You add, nodding your head backwards to the rows where your mothers were enjoying catching up with one another after years apart.
"Sheesh," Felix groans. "When I get married, I'm letting everyone start drinking as soon as the sun comes up and saying my vows in two seconds, none of this waiting around crap."
"I fear for your non existent future partner," you say with a tilt of your head.
"I think it's romantic," your boyfriend speaks up, a love struck look plastering his face. He rests his head gently on your shoulder. "When we get married, I'd like to do it the traditional way. You know, all drawn out, in a church with big windows..."
"All in favour of not going to Hyunjin's wedding say aye," Seungmin starts, followed by a chorus of 'ayes' from your friends. You'd either laugh or scold them if you weren't still reeling from the fact Hyunjin referred to his wedding as yours, too.
You don't get the opportunity to scold them, though, since the music starts and the large hotel room is silenced. You all turn in unison, watching as Chan starts walking down the isle with Dambi by his side. Jaehwa was annoyed to be missing the ceremony, but she'd had a modelling job for Dior (yup, jealousy was a disease and you were highly infected) yesterday, which meant she couldn't get a flight until early this morning. She'd be arriving in the next hour or so to join everyone for lunch and the celebrations following.
Chan sends you all a wink as he passes you, followed by the next two girls and the men accompanying them - Myeong's two brothers. The girls don't even so much as shoot a glance in your direction, which you're honestly thankful for.
Changbin shakes his hands out, clearly nervous, before Chan nudges his shoulder once he reaches his right. You already feel the tears coming, unable to keep stable in this situation. You know there's a couple minutes until Myeong walks, as she comes down during a certain part of the song, so you lean towards Hyunjin, Jeongin and Seungmin.
"Who's the first to cry, Changbin's sister or his mum?" You whisper, nodding towards them both in the first bench in your row.
"You, judging by your watery eyes," Seungmin chuckles quietly, raising an eyebrow. Hyunjin frowns lovingly at you, a sparkle in his eye as he brings a hand up to your face and places a finger in the corner of your eye to remove the tears.
"At least hold out until they say their vows," Jeongin grins, shaking his head at you. The music picks up to the part where you know Myeong starts walking, so everybody starts standing up. After what seems like a minute of silence, but could only have been a couple seconds, Myeong and her father walk into the room.
Myeong's smiling brightly, from ear to ear, and you only take your eyes off of her for the smallest second to see Changbin's reaction. He's trying so hard not to, but you watch as he sheds a tear and laughs it off, shaking his head with a smile as he watches his soon to be wife walk towards him. Myeong's dad kisses her cheek before taking his seat, and soon after Myeong is standing at the alter, facing Changbin.
Thankfully, the vows are quite quick, but super emotional. You're in tears, the guys are holding back sobs - even Minho's lip trembles at one point. It's the first marriage of your friend group, almost as if signalling the end of your childhood. You, Hyunjin and Chan were in serious relationships, everyone was content with their jobs...you weren't all kids anymore.
You think back to your teenage years - boisterous Changbin who made it his mission to keep a smile on everyone's faces. To watch him place a ring on his wife's finger was so fulfilling, and you couldn't have been happier for him and Myeong.
"And with that, I pronounce you husband and wife," the officiant smiles. "You may now kiss the bride."
Changbin grins before swooping Myeong into his arms, kissing her dramatically. Everyone stands to clap and cheer, and you watch Chan's tears fall as he smiles at them. At this point, you're a mess - makeup definitely ruined. Hyunjin is balling beside you too, pulling you into his side and patting your hair gently.
Myeong and Changbin walk back down the aisle hand in hand, an upbeat love song playing to their exit, accompanied by the continuous noise of the guests. It's at that point you all file out of the room, bounding up to the newly weds to say your congratulations.
Myeong hugs you tightly, finally allowing herself to cry. "I'm married! I'm actually marrried!"
You laugh the tears, smiling brightly at her when you pull apart. "I know! You're the most beautiful bride I have ever seen."
She swats at you, blushing nonetheless. "Thank you for everything you've done to help me today, I genuinely don't know where I'd have been without you."
You roll your eyes at her lovingly, pulling her in for one last squeeze before she's ushered away in all the commotion. It's Changbin you turn to then, pulling him towards you. He wraps his arms around you before ruffling your hair.
"You idiot! I took one look at you sobbing in the crowd and I was a gonner," he scolds you, a smile plastering his face.
"I couldn't help it!" You fret back, wiping under your eyes haphazardly. "You and Myeong looked so happy, and your vows were so cute."
"Yeah, well, I've had them written since our third date, so," he grins, and you shake your head with a smile. He's pulled away by your mother then, her pinching his cheeks and cooing as he accepts it openly.
"Our Changbin, all grown up," she smiles, patting his cheek. "You're going to be an excellent husband, my darling."
And that sets you both off again, Changbin giving your mother a hug after not seeing her in so long. It's at that point Myeong claps her hands, letting everyone know that food will be served in an hour and the bar is open for drinks in the meantime. She winks at you, which you take as your queue to follow her upstairs and fix up both of your destroyed faces.
You find Hyunjin in the large crowd, his newly dyed bleach blonde hair sticking out in the crowd, letting him know you'll be back down soon.
"You're leaving?" He says instantly, concern on his face. You laugh at him, rolling your eyes.
"My mum isn't going to grill you, Hyun," you say, knowing exactly why he's been so worried about you being away from him this trip. Obviously, Hyunjin had met your mother many a time, yet he'd been nothing but a ball of stress about formally introducing himself to her.
Since you'd all been rushing about like headless chickens with the wedding preparations, you hadn't been able to properly catch up with your mum, save for a very teary eyed greeting and the promise to tell her everything since you'd last seen her. This also meant Hyunjin hadn't been able to meet her as your official boyfriend, which you'd tried to convince him would be fine, but your dramatic as ever boyfriend didn't believe.
You give him an encouraging thumbs up before Myeong's dragging you to her room, the two of you chatting excitedly about the reception as you reapplied your makeup. She's all smiles and excitement, and you take the opportunity to get some pictures just the two of you before you're rejoining the wedding party.
Everyone's milling around the bar, or already sitting at their assigned tables. You knew the seating plan had you, Hyunjin, your mum, Jeongin, Seungmin and their mothers on it, and to your surprise your boyfriend, who had been a bundle of nerves not half an hour ago, was sitting with a glass of champagne in hand, talking your mums ear off.
You shake your head, smiling at the scene of just the two of them at the table, walking towards them and giving your mum a hug before taking your seat in between them.
"My baby has finally joined us," your mother says, patting your knee gently. "Now, Hyunjin here was telling me all about your trip to America!"
She looks back at him expectantly, so he continues his story, shooting you an excited glance.
"I was just talking about how my mom has been desperate for us to visit again," he informs you, before directing his attention back to your mum. "It's my sister's birthday next month, and she's specifically asked us to fly out to visit. My mom was also wondering if you'd like to join us? She hasn't seen you in so long, and now that we're together, she wants to be able to spend time with you."
Your mum claps her hands in agreement. "Oh I'll be there! I've never been to the states, and I have missed your darling mum," she grins at you, tilting her head. "Aren't you lucky to have a millionaire boyfriend!"
"Mum," you whine, rolling your eyes at her. Hyunjin only chuckles.
"No, I know, I'm only teasing. Honestly, I knew the two of you would end up together. Your mum said the same thing, Hyunjin. And Chris kept me in the loop," she winks, and you both want to murder Chan for being a little snake and jump up and down with joy because of how clearly your mum accepted Hyunjin as your boyfriend.
Your happiness was short lived, however, as Jeongin and Seungmin walked up to your table.
"Why the hell have we been stuck with the lovebirds," Jeongin groans, which your mum slaps him gently for. He yelps dramatically, laughing at your mum as she pretends to be mad at him.
"Now Jeongin," she says adoringly. "You will find your perfect person one day! Don't let your recent romantic failure make you so miserable."
Seungmin snorts as Jeongin sends you a pointed look. "You told her about me being stood up by that girl I was seeing?"
You hold your hands up in defeat, laughing loudly when he pretends to punch you after your mum excuses herself to stand with Jeongin and Seungmin's mothers at the bar.
"You two are sickening," Jeongin says, taking his seat and sticking his tongue out. Hyunjin rolls his eyes at him, placing an arm around your chair. "It physically pains me."
"I don't hear any complaints about Changbin and Myeong or Chan and Jaehwa!" You point out. "Why is it always us that gets the brunt of your abuse?"
"Well for one, because it's Changbin and Myeong's wedding day, so they're allowed a free pass," Seungmin informs you. "And Jaehwa isn't here."
"Wrong!" You head Jaehwa say, which you whip your head around at. She bounds up to you as you stand up, hugging her and admiring her gorgeous pale blue midi dress. You'd both gotten to know each other well over the past months, and she'd quickly become one of your favourite people. You were so thankful the guys had good taste in girls, because it meant you had gained two best friends.
"You look incredible! How was Dior?" You ask after giving her a squeeze. She 'ah's in adoration, swooning at the thought.
"Phenomenal, I'm truly so lucky! How was the reception? I was gutted to miss it," she sighs, quickly waving hello to the boys.
"Beautiful, of course," you answer, to which you hear Jeongin mutter 'long' and Seungmin sigh 'drawn out' under their breaths. You shake your head at you friends, coaxing Jaehwa over to your mother. "Mum, this is Chris's girlfriend, Jaehwa. Jae, meet my mum."
The two woman share a hug, your mum gushing at how beautiful 'my darling Channie's girl' was. You take a seat beside Hyunjin, all smiles.
"So? Not as scary as you expected?" You ask him, tapping his leg with your foot. He grins in response, shaking his head.
"Nah, easy peasy. Older women love me," he smirks cockily, clapping his hands. "She's already started calling me 'son'."
You roll your eyes, saying goodbye to Jaehwa who goes to find her boyfriend, standing amongst a group of people and chatting their ears off.
"What do you guys want to drink?" Seungmin asks, to which your mum scoffs at.
"Don't you worry yourself, I'll get us some drinks," she reply's, cooing at your younger friend and standing up instantly, making her way over to the bar.
"I forgot how nice your mum is," Seungmin chuckles, shaking his head. "She's like God reincarnated into a beautiful middle aged woman."
"Don't tell her that, it'll go straight to her head," you respond with a smile.
"I forgot how stressful weddings are," Jeongin sighs. "I feel like this is the first time I've sat down since we arrived in Jeju."
You nod. "God tell me about it, I'm so ready for a damn drink."
It's at that moment your mum returns, two bottles of champagne in hand, which you all crack open and pour yourselves hefty glassfuls. Seungmin and Jeongin's parents join you, already tipsy and cooing at how cute you and Hyunjin looked together.
"I've heard my son has made a pretty penny from betting on your relationship,"Seungmin's dad teases, which Seungmin looks all too proud at.
"Easy money dad. These fools really thought I didn't have a clue they were together the entire time."
"It was a lucky guess!" Your boyfriend interjects, scowling at the younger man.
Seungmin's mum swats at him, making Jeongin howl with laughter. You and Hyunjin just shake your heads at each other, your mum smiling away.
"I don't know what's so funny," Jeongin's mum interrupts, her gaze set on her son. "I heard you'd lost out on a tonne."
Jeongin groans. "Don't remind me."
After more gossiping and catching up, everyone takes their seats and the food arrives. They'd spared no expense, hiring a renowned caterer, which you thanked the gods for. It was safe to say there wasn't a plate on your table that hadn't been licked clean.
Once your dessert had been successfully demolished, you hear the tapping of a glass, turning to Chris who's standing at his table.
"Oh god, here we go," Seungmin rolls his eyes.
"Hi everyone!" Chan starts cheerily, microphone in hand, instantly capturing everyone's attention as the room falls silent. "I'd like to start by thanking everyone for coming today, especially those of you that had to travel a ridiculous amount because a certain someone had always dreamed of a Jeju wedding."
Myeoung scowls at Chan, earning a laugh from the crowd.
"Sorry, sorry, I'm kidding - you've done a beautiful job, Myeong. I think we can all agree this has to be one of the most spectacular weddings we've attended."
The crowd hollers in response, and you clap alongside them, grinning up at your best friend.
"I'll keep this relatively short and sweet, since long wedding speeches are killer and nobody wants to hear me drone on for hours, despite how much I could talk about two of my favourite people.
I'd like to call myself a bit of a matchmaker, though for some reason my glorious group of friends and I all seem to have had ridiculously bad luck in the romance department. Sorry guys," he grins cheekily, which your friends all scowl at.
"However, saying that, recently things have started to look up. When Myeong and Changbin started dating, I thought 'this is it, they're meant for each other', and although the many dates I'd set up for Changbin had ultimately failed, and my title as matchmaker was in the dust, I couldn't have been happier.
Changbin has always been the mood maker, the class clown - the one that ultimately held us all together. He's an amazing person and," he directs his gaze to Changbin's parents. "You've done an incredible job raising him. I wouldn't be who I am without him today. Not only is he the best music producer CBH entertainment has ever seen, he has always looked on the bright side of life, no matter what was thrown his way.
So when I was introduced to the first girl that had ever managed to tie our boy down, I knew she was the one for him. Myeong compliments Changbin's energy completely, whilst simultaneously keeping him on his toes."
Myeong giggles at this, pinching Changbin's cheek, to which he swats at. You feel the tears welling up again, and Hyunjin pats your knee lovingly.
"Myeong is phenomenal. She's beautiful, hilarious, and the perfect person for our Bin. I truly am so thankful for your presence in his life, Myeong. And I know he will treat you like a goddess, because he worships the ground you walk on."
"Stop making me sound so sappy!" Changbin interjects, which you laugh at.
"Right, okay, sorry mate!" Chan laughs, shaking his head. "Anyway, it's obvious they're perfect together. And as sad as it makes me to see us all growing up - like, what the hell, Bin, you're married!"
The crowd chuckles once more as you feel the tears fall.
"I couldn't be happier for our newly weds. You both truly deserve the best of the best. So, before I start to full on bawl my eyes out, let's toast to the happy couple. To Changbin and Myeong!"
Everyone repeats the words, clinking their glasses together and clapping for Chan. He'd always had a way with words, and you genuinely couldn't wait to hear what he came up with whenever you and Hyunjin got married.
"Man, these idiots need to stop making me cry," Hyunjin laughs, clearing the tears away from his eyes. "My face is all puffy now."
"You still look handsome as ever," you grin, mimicking has action and checking your makeup in your phone camera. "God, I just can't get a grip of myself today!"
"Yeah, you two need to wise up," Seungmin teases. "When you guys get married, you probably won't even be able to say your vows over the sound of you both hysterically crying."
You punch him in the shoulder for that one, but you don't get the chance to make an equally as irritating remark back as you're hauled off of your seat and pulled onto the dance floor by Myeong.
The party hits full swing, all of your friend group dancing to the music the DJ was playing without a care in the world. You took it in turns to bust out your best moves, Changbin twerking as Myeong filmed, Jisung hitting the whip and nae nae so furiously he almost pulled a muscle, Felix full on breakdancing until Minho gently pushed him to the ground with a laugh.
For hours you guys stayed like that - taking photos together, drinking your stresses away. It was bliss. Pure, genuine bliss to be dancing and laughing with your friends, Hyunjin by your side. Amidst an argument between Minho and Seungmin about who was the best at doing the moonwalk, Hyunjin gently tugged on your arm and led you outside for a breather.
The hotel sat directly on the waterfront, a gorgeous balcony lining the side of the large room you were all in. It was beautiful, lights shining onto the gently rippling water and the sounds of laughter and happiness echoing from inside.
You were both sweating at this point, out of breath and in stitches from laughing with your friends. He pulls you into his lap as he takes a seat on a bench, you making yourself comfortable in his embrace.
"I think I'm the happiest I've ever been," Hyunjin says quietly, placing a kiss on your bare shoulder. You hum in agreement.
"Everything went so perfectly. It's been the best day," you smile down as him, placing a hand to his cheek and placing a chaste kiss to his lips. "I hope our weddings as lovely."
"You know, you talk a lot about our wedding for someone who is not engaged," Hyunjin laughs, earning himself the daggers from you.
He smiles all the same, thinking about the sparkling diamond ring sitting in a box, hidden away in a secret location back at your guys' apartment. He'd picked it out a week after you'd started officially dating, not a question about it. After FaceTiming Chan a billion times to show him ring after ring, his eyes had landed on the one he ended up choosing and all he saw was you.
He knew you didn't care about how he'd propose, you never did for things like that. Whether it be snuggled up in bed after binging a drama, or at your work office (which you had successfully christened, almost immediately after you'd finished placing your items at your desk. They were subsequently knocked off and Hyunjin did have to replace half of them) - you'd say yes to him in a heartbeat.
But, Hyunjin was a traditional man. He'd ask you after meticulous planning when the time was perfect. He was old fashioned like that. God forbid there wasn't an event of grandeur attached to him placing a ring on your finger to let the world know you were forever his.
"You know what I mean," you mumble, snapping Hyunjin back into the present. Hyunjin chuckles in response, tightening his embrace around you.
"I love you," he says then, making you smile. You place another kiss on his lips, your thumb rubbing circles around his cheek.
"I love you more."
"Factually inaccurate," he says immediately, which you giggle at, knowing it was a competition you'd never win. Hyunjin loved you, you loved him - it was known. Your friends could tease you to their hearts content, but it was obvious they loved the two of you together.
After a series of horrific dates (courtesy of Chan), a fake dating scenario that left your brain in a state of mush, a secret that almost ruined the blossoming romance between the two of you and finally throwing caution to the wind - you had him. You were together, and you'd be damned to ever let him go.
It was always him. And for him, it was always you. Right from the minute he laid eyes on you as a teenager. He could curse Chan a thousand times over for keeping you from him back then, but Hyunjin knew everything worked out the way it was supposed to. He'd never let anything come between the two of you again.
You'd began again, and this was it. The happy forever.
low and behold. After like, two years the final chapter is complete. This story is my baby, the first thing I'd ever written and completed. It started as a story I wrote to occupy my time over a boring summer. It turned into a community of people on tumblr and Wattpad who I cherished interacting with, and who loved this story as much as I did. I read every single comment, and they all make me grin from ear to ear. You lot are fucking funny.
I want to thank you for taking the time to read this, and to anyone who has interacted in a positive way, I adore you. I hope this is a nice ending. I think it is.
Peace and love

Futures Rewritten
I hope FRU will include a fusion of Oracle of Darkness with Shiva+Hraesvelgr.
This concept has a lot of small details, so I'm writing my thought process in painstaking detail here for future reference. Keep in mind a lot of these are not fully lore compliant. I chose details I remembered most from the raids.
The concept starts with Shiva/Hrasevelgr from e8s p2 combined with Oracle of Darkness from e12s p2. I use the hailstorm Shiva top dyed jet black, with the scylla gloves to mimic dragon details. e12 p2 has a lot of feathers, so I had hoped to use some of the Quetzalli pieces, but the caster ones don't actually have that many feather details. I used angel wings instead to bring the feather element in.
For the bottoms, both hypostatic bottoms and bridesmaid bottoms have high enough waist hems to make the top look like a body suit. I went with bridesmaid since the waist detail dyes a little darker, which allows me to use shadow blue to bring some of the undyeable blue of the gloves into the body area. Hypostatic bottoms have a lower leg angle like shorts, with pretty silver details too though, so it's a nice option as well. Eternal tights have the scalloped hem if you want to cover more of the hip area. I like the hem detail, but I also think the longer skirt throws off the balance between the upper leg area and the exposed shoulder.
For the shoes, I wanted long boots to cover more skin. A lot of the thigh-high boots stop a little over the knee, so depending on which bottoms used, different height shoes will work better to balance the amount of exposed skin. I used the br'aaxskin ones for the two dyes, and the leg plate armor that has a subtle filigree detail. For the bottoms with tights, short shoes work well too, like Best Man's Gaiters with Eternal tights.
I used the hime hairstyle to mimic Gaia's hairstyle. So for headpiece, I wanted something silvery to break up the bangs, like the Faerie Tale tiaras or br'aaxskin headband. Since Hraesvelgr also was an element, horns were also an option. The various in-game demon horns don't dye and the demonic horns didn't offer details around the forehead center, so I use the new Devilry horns with a slight blue-black gradient to mimic the hair and the rest of the body palette.
And for weapon, I use Gaia's weapon. I never had a use for them, but I like the silver detail of the hammer that is similar colors as the gloves. The downside is the bright blue detail isn't matched by anything in the outfit, but I'm okay with it. Edenmorn weapons or ktiseos weapons are both good choices for rose/floral details. Quetzalli weapons are good choices for feather details with the benefit of two-tone feathers too!
Overall, probably looks more cohesive on a xaela.

Chapter 19
Warnings: None. (Will however be a 18+ reader book)
Copyright: I do not own any Marvel characters or locations. However, I do own a few OCs like Elizabeth, Katherine, Stacy, and Jessie. I do not condone any copying of this.
The next day had passed uneventfully in total. You all hung out in a secluded part of the beach, playing the radio to loud. You and Elizabeth played old songs- old meaning between 2003 and 2018. Your soulmates had laughed as you two as sung along to 'Something just like This.'
Now, you were standing in Natasha and Bruce's room with Wanda, Shuri, Okoye, Carol, and Gamora as they all tried to fix you up in your wedding dress, get your makeup and hair done, and overall just prepare you for your wedding.
You hadn't seen any of your soulmates today. Maria, May, and Pepper were getting the boys sorted and organized, making last adjustments to their suits and everything in between.
"Stop fidgeting." Okoye demanded.
Damn the woman was scary. You froze in your seat while Shuri finished doing your makeup. After about an hour and a half, you were completely ready for this wedding.
You stood up, before Shuri handed you a bouquet of eleven roses. Each one matched the colour or colours of your soulmates- even though some of them had to be dyed.
Wong showed up to portal all of you down to the beach. You could hear everyone out on the actual beach, probably sitting under the constructed white pavilion that Tony had ordered should be put up so that they didn't have to sit in the sun, and fans would gently blow cool air down on all of you.
Your stomach twisted with nervous butterflies. Cassie and Morgan started wandering forward, your four bridesmaids quickly following as the music hit the right note.
You licked your lips, taking Wong's arm as he walked you down the aisle.
You could see your soulmates waiting, standing in a circle with one spot left open for you.
Loki was dressed in a green suit with a white shirt and a gold tie. His black hair had been pulled back into a man bun.
T'Challa was wearing traditional black robes with silver lining. He also had some white dots across his face, placed slightly strategically, though you didn't know what they meant. Probably something to do with marriage naturally.
Fury. . . wow it was the first time you'd seen him in something other than his black trench coat. He was wearing a light brown suit with a white shirt and a striped tie.
Rhodey was wearing a blue suit with a white shirt and a black tie. He looked slender and fit, smiling easily as you walked down the aisle.
Clint was wearing a black suit with a white shirt and a purple tie. His grin was stretched from ear to ear as he watched you walk towards him.
Steve was wearing his military uniform. A simple olive green colour with a few badges over his left pocket, only one over the right. His shirt matched the suit, the tie a light shade of yellow.
Bucky was also wearing his military uniform, looking absolutely delicious. There was a tight brown belt around his midriff. The uniform was a tan colour with a tie that matched Steve's. His cap was perched jauntily on his head and he was wearing a huge grin on his face.
Sam was wearing almost a minty green that was so minty green it almost looked grey suit, with white dress shirt and a silver tie. His lips were pursed, a small smile there as he kept his hands in his pants pockets.
Thor was wearing a deep, almost inky black suit, complete with a black dress shirt and tie. And he said Loki dressed like a witch when he wore all black. Actually, Thor really looked good in the outfit with his hair cropped short.
Tony was wearing a grey and black striped shirt, the cuffs of his sleeves outlined with delicately stitched lining of red and blue. His shirt was white and his tied was gold and silver striped. His hair was messy, like it always was, and his glasses were in the front breast pocket.
Stephen was the last one, standing between the empty space and Tony. He was wearing a blue suit, white dress shirt, and black tie, all of the colours bringing out both the white streaks in his hair, and his blue eyes which seemed even brighter. He winked at you, your nerves calming a little bit as you came to stand there.
You swallowed hard as the bond pastor- who stood in the middle of your circle- started to speak. He spoke first of the past of the first bonds between the Earth and the sky who then had twelve Titan children who were eventually overthrown by Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon. (Loki rolled his eyes). And how the bonds grew more and more complicated until each was more unique than the stars in the sky. How the bonds started to change slowly from being simply one man and one woman to become more than one partner of either sex, usually both. How it was discovered that the bonds grew more in strength after a bonding ceremony after marriage and how bonds grew weaker if you consummated before the marriage ceremony. How the evils were discovered through the unbonded.
And then it grew more personal, explaining how each of our bonds represented who we were and how our bonds were more than our favorite colours, but also our unique identities. How T'Challa's meant he would be a protector at heart and how Steve's meant he would always do what was right for his country.
As he spoke, he had taken your bouquet of flowers, slowly handing out each one to the men so that they could put them in the buttonhole of their suits.
"The ritual will give each bonder to the bondee a trait of which they lack or do not possess, in a small element so as not to change their personality completely. This may be a physical trait, an emotional trait, or even a psychological trait." He moved back in front of you, giving you a rose to hold that was dyed with every colour of theirs. "And through the symbolic tribute, we bind."
The roses glowed, gold lines moving out to clasp around all of your wrists, strands of gold light attaching each of them to you. There was also silver lines (already bonded) between Bucky, Sam, and Steve as well as Tony and Stephen. A blue line (meaning family) was between Loki and Thor.
A circle of gold started to spin around your left hand, slowly shaping into an elegant ring. There were twelve small jewels imbedded into the ring, small and each one a singular solid colour to match their primary colour. Their names would be written under each one, magically carved in their, so small you'd need a microscope to see them.
"And now as we released the bond, though they stay forever in their souls, they will consummate the marriage by midnight. May they live happily forever." Then he produced the chalice that every couple had to drink from.
They started with the oldest first, so Thor, before it went all the way down to Sam. Then you were the last to drink it. It was clear, but it tasted like F/D.
Once you finished your one and only swallow, you felt the lines on your arm heat up spectacularly, though not to the point where they hurt. And then the ceremony was over.
Your friends immediately congregated around you as the bonding pastor left you guys to celebrate. His job was done.
You went through a couple hundred 'congratulations' before things finally went into party mode with food and drinks.
There were a ton of surprises as Pietro found his other two soulmates. And guess what? They just happened to be Jessie and Katherine from work.
Elizabeth also found her third soulmate, who happened to be Hogun from Asgard. I was glad. He had the man bun, which she had found adorable with Bucky and Loki. Not to mention he was Asian and she had a thing for Asian guys.
(So there's Hogun in Thor: Ragnarök, and then Thor where they go to Earth. I'm talking about that Hogun without the beard and he looks younger)
The ceremony seemed to both speed by and also go past as slow as possible depending on your thinking. Everyone was extremely happy and ecstatic. There was plenty of singing and dancing. Eating lovely cake.
Everyone was having a really good day when you guys finally decided that you should start back to the hotel. You had the deadline of midnight, after all.
Butterflies started to fly in your stomach. . . or maybe they were bees. It was very hard to tell. "Are you alright baby?" Sam asked quietly as the others laughed and talked to each other.
"Just nervous." You said.
"Nothing to be nervous about." Sam said, putting an arm around your shoulder. "Seriously, you'll see. We all love you so much and you love us. It'll be natural, I promise."
You flushed slightly.
Sam grinned down at you, "Look, it might be a little weird since there's eleven of us. But we're not all going to be in the room at the same time. It'll just be one on one, 'cept maybe Stevie, Buck and I might come in at the same time if you're okay with that?"
"Am I gonna watch you three have sex?" You questioned awkwardly. You weren't awkward because you didn't want to see it, you just asked it extremely bluntly.
He chuckled lowly. "Not tonight, but another night, I promise." He winked.
You grinned, already feeling a bit more comfortable.
"Hello pet." Loki purred in your other ear as Sam's attention was drawn away by Bucky telling him to look at a cute cat that had appeared out of the bushes. "You look absolutely ravishing in your dress."
If he was trying to make you wet, it was working. He had pranced around the wedding, not saying more than a few words to you, a sly smirk on his face, telling you that he had something up his sleeve.
"Thanks." You mumbled, cheeks burning.
"A little birdie told me that Clint was going to be your first." Loki smirked.
"You mean Sam?" You deadpanned.
His smirked got bigger, "I'll be your last my pet." He nipped your ear lobe. "All tuckered out and a complete mess and then I'll show you what it feels like to be with a real man."
He slipped away, back to Thor's side, pretending to take interest in a black cat as you nearly tripped over your own two feet at his words. Good lord.
Once you were in the hotel, you all looked at each other.
"So which room?" Bucky asked.
Tony smirked, pulling out a piece of paper and handing it over to Stephen, "We're not going to a room."
Stephen rolled his eyes, but opened up a portal nevertheless, showing you all one of those private villas that were basically a home as your hotel.
"Tony this is huge." You gasped as you stepped through the portal. The others followed behind.
"What did you expect? It's Tony." Rhodey said with a shrug.
Fair point.
You headed up the stairs, being very careful so that you didn't step on the train of your dress. Suddenly, Steve scooped you up into his arms so that he could carry you over the threshold of the villa.
"Very old-fashioned." You complimented.
He grinned down at you. "I like to stay in touch with my roots occasionally."
"Besides," Bucky added. "It's a nice sentiment. I'll carry you over the threshold of the Avengers tower when we get home."
Tony cleared his throat, "Pretty sure I own that building."
Bucky just rolled his eyes.
"Anyways," Tony continued. "You and Katniss can go upstairs and find the bedroom together I'm sure."
You blushed scarlet now as Clint just rolled his eyes, lifting you up in his arms to carry you up the stairs. You were really starting to like this carrying the bride thing. It meant you didn't have to climb any stairs in your dress or heels.
The bedroom was easy to find. It was obviously your room, fit with cream and lavender colours.
"Well?" Clint asked as he approached you. There was suddenly a wonderful tension in the air as he brushed his slight calloused hands over your shoulders. "Ready for the best part of the night, Birdie?"
You flushed a little at the slightly endearing nickname that you knew was a personal favorite of his, though he never liked using it with other people.
You flushed, looking up into his blue-grey eyes. "Yes."

So! I started writing this Jonpeter forced marriage thing while roleplaying a different version on discord aha and this came outta my brain. It can be considered finished, but if I do write more for this, I'll post it here! It's Jonelias... If you squint lol. Some implied Lonelyeyes
Silver limned in frost, the mirror is chill to the touch. The bride presses the pads of his fingers to the glass, and tries to recognize the person staring back at him. The eyes are the same, aren't they? That nose, those lips. But there's makeup on his cheeks, to cover up the unsightly scarring that peppers his skin and his dark brown eyes are lined in silver-grey, to accentuate what has to be his best feature. His cheekbones, elevated with powder to transform them beyond malnourished to striking. His lips glossed in a classy neutral tone. A heavy necklace of hematite and diamond rests at his throat, cold and beautiful. The bride frowns, twisting that artfully made up mouth into a scowl. He hates how he looks. He hates how they did his hair, some fancy braided mess atop his head, with an elegant, silver tiara. Likewise, he hates the makeup. He feels like a clown! And most of all, he hates the dress. It is white, as his husband-to-be requested, has a flared bodice, and a sweetheart neckline meant to push up his rather modest chest, long lace sleeves embroidered with birds - "Seagulls, Archivist, isn't that clever?" - and a long flowing skirt that hides how slim his waist and hips are. It has a faint pattern of the sea embroidered into it, so that when he moves, the waves do as well. Clever, maybe. But Jon doesn't want to be wearing it, and in fact, if it was up to him, he'd set the whole thing on fire.
A knock on the door has his shoulders tensing, but it's just another bridesmaid he doesn't know the name of and has never seen before. She smiles at him, and he notes that she doesn't look directly at him, but just over his left ear. In her hands, she carries the only thing Jon was allowed to customize to his liking. The wedding bouquet.
Rather than carry white roses or baby's breath, he'd taken the opportunity to design his bouquet to represent his true feelings about his nuptials, and his future husband as well.
"Thank you, I'll take that." Jon's tone might be a little snappy, but isn't every bride allowed to be a bitch on her wedding? The woman hands him the arrangement, and then clears her throat. "Its almost time. You should put on your veil."
"In a minute. Leave." For agents of the Lonely, Jon hasn't been given a moment's peace all day. Perhaps it was a measure to head off any haphazard attempts to escape his fate. Not that Jon is going to try anything as futile as that. He knows what's waiting for him if he breaks his contract.
His fingers, manicured and buffed to an almost unhealthy shine, touch every flower in the bunch, examines the leaves. It'll do. Behind him, the bridesmaid leaves the room, closing the door behind her. The unwilling bride, exhales a breath and resumes looking through the arrangement. He finds what he's looking for, in the centre. A small cluster of berries so purple they appear black. Jon reaches in to touch one, but catches the pad of his finger on a thorn from the briar he had purposefully woven into the bouquet to surround them. He withdraws his finger, watches as ruby red blood wells up and drips down onto the petals of a petunia. Jon blinks at the splatter, then a laugh breaks from his throat. Why not? He's bled for everything else, why not this as well, the end of his life?
Maybe that would be overly dramatic if it wasn't true. Jon is marrying into the most isolated family in Britain, and his husband to be already has expressed his desire to mould Jon into the mother of his children and a proper wife. And that means proper by the standards of the Forsaken, not the Watcher. He is tempted to bleed all over the exorbitantly priced dress, but instead, he sighs and slips the finger in between his lips.
He sets the flowers down onto his lap as he sucks the wound. Salty iron coats his tongue, unpleasant and visceral.
Then, a knock at the door makes Jon jump a bit. He scowls. "I told you to leave me alone! I said I'd come down when I'm good and bloody ready-"
But as he turns, he sees the door already opening, and a man standing on the other side. Jon stumbles to his feet, the bouquet tumbling to the floor. He struggles to keep his voice from trembling as he takes a step back, cursing the heeled shoes they'd forced him into. "You-!"
"Ah," Elias Bouchard says, stepping into the room, his polished black shoes clicking on the hardwood floor. He's dressed in a fine olive green suit for the occasion, and looks perfectly respectable. His cool grey eyes, however, blaze with a fever, a hunger he's barely holding back. Devouring the sight of him. He smiles. "What a perfect bride you make, Jon."
"Get out." Jon snarls, sounding braver than he feels, his body tense as a wire, backing away further. "H-How'd you even get in here?"
Elias's expression sours a little. "Your fiancé hand-delivered my invitation. He was practically glowing with delight. Imagine my surprise when I read the name penned under his own."
Jon's cheeks flush unpleasantly. "I didn't want to," he snaps, anger rising above his fear. "But then he told me about you and your plans." The venom in his tone doesn't seem to effect Elias in the slightest. "Ah, yes, a shame, that. Trust me, Jon. I would have been with you every step you took to becoming a god. And haven't I always been there for you?"
"You're the one who wants godhood, Elias. Or should I call you Jonah Magnus?" He spits the name, fists clenching at his sides. A dark look swiftly passes over Elias's face. Then he starts to laugh heartily. "Oh, Peter... I underestimated you."
Jon glares, silent.
Elias is still chuckling when he bends to pick up Jon's flowers. "I'm not here to terrorize you, Jon, as gratifying as that might be. I can feel your fear from here, it's intoxicating. You're for another to consume now... Though..." His eyes trace Jon's figure in his dress. "I came to tell you that it's not too late for cold feet." His smile is decidedly less composed. "If you come back to me, I will welcome you with open arms, and bygones will be bygones."
He pauses, his eyes landing on the bouquet he holds. Elias examines it closer. "My dear Jonathan, Petunia? Lily of the valley, Black roses, Dogwood briar and ... are those Nightshade berries? You're making quite the statement, aren't you?"
His lips quirk with amusement. "You do know that these berries won't kill you, don't you?"
Jon's reply is icy. "They're not for me." Elias's eyebrow twitches up a hair before he contains his surprise. Then he holds the bundle out for Jon to take. "Mariticide is such a messy affair, Jon. If you want to avoid becoming gravid with Lukas children, and I do mean children, Jon, do you really think Peter will stop at just one? Your best bet is to return to my side."
"And end the world?" Jon demands, stalking forwards to snatch the flowers away. And maybe punch Elias in the face, he hasn't decided, yet.
Elias wears the expression of a patient man, though Jon can sense him losing that facade by the minute.
"Think of it more as a rebirth, Jon. An apotheosis, becoming what you were always meant to become. The world would be ruined, yes, that part would be sadly unavoidable. But it would be perfectly habituated for you and me. And we would rule."
He smiles again, and Jon feels his skin crawl at the sight of the zeal in the man's eyes. He shakes his head. "You would rule. I know you'd never share that with me, even if I wanted it."
"Jonathan—"
"I'm marrying Peter Lukas." Jon says, with finality. The words taste like ash and fall heavy from his tongue. Elias looks like he wants to continue speaking, but he sighs and then reaches his hand into his pocket instead. "I wish you all the happiness in the world, though I'm afraid you'll find such things sorely lacking in a life with your paramour." His eyes glitter. "I would know."
Jon doesn't reply, only glowers as Elias pulls a small box from his suit and proffers it. "A pre-wedding gift, then, for your health, your safety and your comfort."
Despite himself, Jon is curious. But he restrains himself. "Open it," he demands, and Elias sighs. "Jonathan, do you really trust me this little-? If I intended to harm you, I assure you-"
"Open the box, Elias."
The words are said with force and power, both of them can hear static in their ears as it rolls against them, the power of the Archivist. Elias lets out a shuddering breath, and opens the box. "Think of what you're giving up," he murmurs, lifting the silver pendant from its plush case. Its shaped like a stylized eye. Jon steps forward, unable to resist. "You won't be able to stretch your powers or grow with Peter's leash around your throat."
"As opposed to your own?" Jon counters, but his voice is low. Something about that little necklace is calling to him. He pulls back, wary. "What is it?"
Elias meets his gaze without flinching, without deceit for once. "An escape clause."
And just like that, all the air is sucked out of the room as Jon Knows that in Elias's hand is The Ritual. All its horror and its effects, melted down into this pretty trinket.
"Just like that?" He asks, voice quiet. He opens his hand to receive it.
"Just like that, Elias says, placing the necklace into his palm. For a moment, they're silent, both contemplating the weight of this decision. Then, Elias draws back, his mask of polite geniality returned. "Now, Jon. You have a wedding to prepare for, I shall take my leave. Just know, I have always kept your best interests at heart."
The lie is an obvious way for Elias to save face, return the wall between them but neither of them address it, and then Elias is gone. Not five minutes later, another knock, another bridesmaid, this one carrying a wedding veil. Jon takes a deep breath, and stows the necklace away against his chest, where he can almost feel it beating in time with his heart with the awful power it contains. And then, Jonathan Sims, the Lonely Bride stands. "Let's get this over with."
