no one plays weird little guys with the same commitment and verve as Brian Kevin Murphy. kugrash doesn't just go to the park to find some pigeons, he raises his 'little rat arms' and summons them en masse to kingston's gorgeous, pristine apartment. riz doesn't just hide behind a car, he rolls into a ball, hides in fabian's backpack, promptly throws up out of excitement, gets lobbed across the parking lot, and then bites gorgug's shirt in half to make himself a toga, because gorgug's big and he's so small, and so covered in his own vomit. murph just gets it. shoutout krudbert. shoutout gerard prince of greenleigh.

Murph is a really talented improviser, actor, and comedian. He immediately switched from Barry 6, The Biggest Man, to Kugrash, The Littlest Scrungle, and it was like I was watching two different ppl on stage. That man flipped a switch and, holy shit, Barry fully disappeared and a rat man from New York took his place.

the thing is like. as an overwhelmed teenager who was just killed by a system that didn’t protect them properly and wants above all to live, yeah i can see pledging yourself to an unnameable rage god, like you should be angry your school just shipped you off to die alone in the mountains on your spring break.

that said, given gorgug, kristen, adaine, and riz have all died and not pledged themselves to a rage god, i simply know that adaine in particular will see this as simply a skill issue

In the canon and the world of Spyre, halflings are considered a model minority, and were the colonized prior residents of the country.

Kipperlilly Copperkettle's anger at Riz and the other Bad Kids partially stemmed from her belief that having a tragic or otherwise interesting backstory was an unfair advantage.

She even believed that the only fair solution is to give benefits to those without said advantage.

Conclusion: If Kipperlilly was real, she'd be one of those Asian Americans complaining about Affirmative Action stopping them from getting into Harvard. (It wouldn't be entirely her fault, she got her recommendation letter written by a racist and every time she asked for an update he went on a soapbox until it felt true)

Yeah they are kids and have been manipulated. But at one point the bad kids (who are also kids btw) were not going to gently speak to them and Brennan wasn't going to give up a two episode encounter just so they get a chance at redemption.

They tried to murder every student in their school. They want to put Porter as a god of war and conquest. Fig and Kristen tried. That's it, we're good.
