Tales: Formation of Mobile Task Force Zeus-1 "Conduits" Part 1

The year was 2011 and the entire Foundation was in a frenzy of anger. Apparently, a hardcore devoted splinter cell form the Horizon Initiative was secretly hiding a population growth of a newly discovered threat known as the Conduits. The Conduits were a species of Interest that was created when humans with a specific gene were exposed to SCP-ATQ. What makes Conduits so dangerous is that in order for a human to become a conduit the life force of other humans must first be sacrificed. The second reason is that Conduits have nearly unlimited capabilities regarding their powers.

Some Conduits can create monsters, others can absorb elements to become even stronger, standard as well as non-standard weapons are useless against conduits, and they are immune to every type of injury and disease on this planet. If the Conduits ever wanted too, they could conquer this world with the only ones to stop them being each other. Perhaps if the entirety of the Anomalous Correction and Protection Alliance stood in front, they could wipe out even an army of Conduits but not without massive loss.

As such, not even the Foundation opposed the Global Occult Coalition sending out Strike Teams globally to hunt them down and kill them all. Originally the Foundation was satisfied with just getting SCP-ATQ as they thought there was no other way to make more conduits without it; however, the recent news proved this not to be true at all.

Apparently, the reason the population of Conduits had not been going down was because a man named Joseph Bertrand III was selling Conduits to the Horizon Initiative. There was a splinter cell within the Horizon Initiative that was Pro-Human over all other species. They were trying to unleash conduits on the world to scare humanity into fearing the anomalous. This was in violation of several ACPA laws that dictated that no organization is allowed alter the course of humanity via anomalous means, no ACPA members can harm human lives without justification, and no ACPA members are to expose elements of the anomalous world to the public.

They thought their work was worth the consequences but recently Joseph Bertrand III was killed by a Conduit. With their source of conduits gone they had nowhere to run, and all their secrets were quickly exposed.

To save face the Horizon Initiative agreed to have the traitors captured and given to their allies within the ACPA to allow said allies to deal with them accordingly. Of course, the traitors given to the Foundation were immediately assigned as D Class and sent to SCP-682's containment cell. This was done quickly as the Foundation had more pressing matters. Apparently, Joseph Bertrand III not only had his own instance of SCP-ATQ but was doing several experiments to create more Conduits. Worst of all, they were hiding the secret of where "The Beast" was. "The Beast" was the monster that also contributed to the destruction of Empire City. After it destroyed the city a massive abundance of Conduits came from the rubble.

Thankfully MTF Apollo-1 and Global Occult Coalition's Strike Team-7445 started bombarding the city until there was nothing left. The cover up was that there was a nuclear meltdown, known as the worst one in history. But thankfully the radioactive fallout was limited to just the city so the rest of the world is safe, thought the city has been left completely uninhabitable.

That was originally thought to be the end of "The Beast" and its conduits but as it turns out it was alive and managed to make it to a city called New Marais. It was laying low while collecting its power but also creating more Conduits. The O5 Council of the Foundation was furious with this but also saw it as an opportunity, as such they deployed personally their very own Mobile Task Force Alpha-1 "Red Right Hand".

Brian Flagg or "Monster Slayer" as he was called by his squad was on a helicopter reading his mission report. Apparently the O5 want to establish friendly ties with the Conduits left alive and have them work in a MTF in exchange for being integrated into society as normal people. Brian just sighed in annoyance; he knew the O5 would jump at the chance of taking more power for themselves. He was glad they do keep up their deals unlike most of the government but he, like most of the Foundation, still didn't like the O5. It was weird for a MTF Alpha-1 unit like him to not like or have much loyalty to the O5 Council but the O5 still trusted him to get the jobs they gave him done. Because they knew that even if he hated the O5 and how they run things, even he couldn't deny that they were the best hope humanity had.

"Damn... I really don't like it but I still gotta do it." At least if he was in MTF Alpha-1 he could keep the O5 and Alpha-1 units from doing unnecessary killings both in and out of the Foundation, which they were notorious for doing. It wasn't much but even if he had to do it alone for the rest of his life, he would. Brain looked around to the other five MTF Alpha-1 units, none of which said anything. Which he expected as most MTF Alpha-1 units tend to be emotionless husks that just follow orders and nothing more. He was the same as them, couldn't do anything but follow orders but he was glad he still had his emotions at least. He wasn't the strongest of them all, but he was the most human.

"Alright we're coming up on the destination." Brian and the other MTF Alpha-1 units and looked out the helicopter windows and saw New Marais.

"Man, the weather looks terrible."

"Apparently the Beast is here as well, it must have something to do with that."

"It's still hard to believe the Horizon Initiative was keeping it all hidden and trying to weaponize the Conduits and the Beast. I would understand if it was the Global Occult Coalition but seriously? The Horizon Initiative?"

"They believe that by exposing the people to a 'godless' monster, they will cling more to the religions ruled by the Horizon Initiative for protection."

"Tch, what a bunch of idiots, all they did was spread that stupid virus that's killing everyone. I'm glad we're already deploying the cure to doctors around the world but fuck, it's still a stupid plan." Brain was expecting some sort of response, but the other MTF Alpha-1 units said nothing. Brain sighed; he knew of MTF Alpha-1 units that could hold a proper conversation, but he was never assigned to be on the same mission as them. Instead of talking, the rest of them just sorted through their gear to get ready when they would eventually land.

Brain in particular got his assigned gear along with his favorite case that was almost the size of a coffin. Brain smiled, since New Marais was isolated, their common jurisdiction of using minimal tech in public eye was withdrawn, meaning he and the others had free reign so long as they got the mission done. Furthermore, the Foundation could just deploy Gamma-5 "Red Herrings" to fix the situation easily, so there was nothing to worry about.

However just as the helicopter was about to reach the landing point Brain noticed a strange change in the atmosphere; he looked at his teammates and they could all feel it too. Then there was a pulse of energy coming from one of the roofs of the buildings, Brain looked at the building and saw four people. However, what really caught his eye was that small sphere that looked like an instance of SCP-ATQ.

"Aw great. Hey! Land here! We got a possible containment breach!"

They managed to land on the neighboring building so that they could go over to the four people without alerting them. Thanks to their Bullet Proof Cloaking Armor all six of them were able to surround the four people. Once they were in good position, they turned off the cloaking and raised their rifles.

"Freeze put your hands up!"

"Put your hands up now!"

"Put them up or we will shoot!" Zeke was the first to put his hands up, Cole did the same, then Kou but not Nix, she tried to get away. She would have succeeded but one of the MTF Alpha-1 units grabbed her and threw her to the ground. She grunted in anger and raised her hands in the air as she got up. Brain then looked at the mechanical device and was actually surprised.

"Hey, that's not a ray sphere. what the hell is that?"

"You know what a ray sphere is?"

"I'm asking the questions, answer. What is that?"

"... It's called the RFI, it's supposed to take away the powers of the Beast."

"Holy shit..."

"But it will also kill us! It will kill all conduits!"

"Shut up and keep your hands up!" One of the MTF Alpha-1 units next to Kou was getting aggravated at her.

"Wait please listen to me, if you use it the RFI will wipe out all conduits!"

"Hey! It will also cure the everyone who has the plague!"

"Zeke, we don't know that."

"That's right! There's not guarantee it will cure the plague, but if we use the Beast, it's a guarantee that at least the Conduits will survive!"

"At the cost of billions! Don't listen to her and take the RFI help us charge it up!"

"Please! At least this way some people will survive!"

"Argh! Shut up all of you! Fucking Christ, you argue like school kids! First of all, our mission was to ensure the protection of the Conduits so we're not going to kill any of you! And if that RFI thing will kill you all then we're definingly not going to activate it."

"Oh, thank god!"

"Hey wait! What about the plague! Without the RFI me and millions of others will perish! Haven't you seen the news the Beast spread the plague all throughout the coast and its already killing thousands."

"We know that's why we've already administered the cure to local hospitals. Those deaths will stop within a week."

"Wha- wait you guys have a cure?"

"Uh well yeah I got a personal reserve just in case, but I can lend you one." Brian got out a vial of the cure but one of the other MTF Alpha-1 units grabbed his wrist to stop him.

"There's no reason to waist resources on a civilian."

"Are you serious? It's just one vial."

"Our mission is to gain the cooperation of the Conduits and contain the Beast, nothing else." Cole then lowered his arms and stood in front of them.

"Hey asshole, you want my cooperation? Cure my friend!" The MTF Alpha-1 units remained silent, so Brain forced his wrist out of their grip and gave it to Zeke.

"Uh, do I drink it or..."

"It has an injector on the black end, just press it into your arm and it will inject the cure painlessly."

"Oh, so its painless?"

"... I mean, mostly?" Zeke just looked at Brain concerned to which Brain just raised his arms while shrugging. Zeke then sighed in annoyance and pressed the injector end of the vial into his arm and sure enough the cure entered his body. He did end up crouching in pain as he started coughing, Cole quickly went to him to help. However, Zeke got back up quickly and looked healthier than ever.

"Holy crap... I feel like I just had the best night of my life with the most beautiful woman in the world!" Cole started laughing joyfully as he and Zeke hugged in celebration to Zeke being cured. Brain was happy for them, but he knew that both his teammates and superiors were getting impatient.

"Ahem! Now that we've ensured you don't need the RFI to cure those with the plague, I assume this means we have your cooperation." Cole let go of Zeke and faced the MTF Alpha-1 units again.

"Yeah, it does. Though I would feel more cooperative if your boys would stop pointing their guns right at our faces." Brian signaled to the MTF Alpha-1 units, so they lowered their guns, Nix then stepped forward to speak up.

"But don't we still need the RFI to kill the beast?"

"Well, I mean if our reports are correct, we can actually kill the beast without the RFI."

"Wait really?!"

"Well of course! But-"

"Perfect!" Kou then used her ice to blast the RFI destroying it entirely, everyone was left speechless and Brain in particular was silent with anger.

"... But it's not a 100% guarantee, so maybe we should keep it just in case... That's- That's what I was going to say before you destroyed it." Nix, Zeke, Cole, Brian, and the other MTF Alpha-1 units looked at Kou in disappointment. She just looked down in shame thought she wasn't really willing to apologize either.

"I-"

"Forget it, the Beast is tough but not indestructible. We just need to get it to show up and then rip it apart. Afterwards once the Conduit inside is exposed we just kill him and its game over."

"But what if he just tries to put himself back together. He told me that's how he was able to become the Beast in the first place."

"We got a weapon that can trap him forever." Brain then nodded to one of the MTF Alpha-1 units and the put down a case that was handing on their back. Once it was on the ground, they opened it up and inside was a strange cannon looking device that was quite similar to a gumball machine in appearance.

"Say hello to the Q/A-CC-41. A revolutionary device that was specifically designed to entrap monsters of pure energy, they can blast as much energy as they want or split down the smallest atom, nothing can escape form it. Trust me when I say, once he gets absorbed by this he'll never get out."

"You sure you can keep something that large in a device that small?"

"Like I said we gotta rip him apart first. Get rid of that molten magma body of his, then once it's just him we keep firing until he's nothing but bits of energy. That's when we'll activate the device. Though we'll have to do it fast before he rebuilds himself again."

"Sounds like a plan I'm in!" Nix was quick to join in then Cole, Zeke, and Kou agreed as well.

"Alright, so first thing's first. Where is the Beast?"

"Hey come in!" Zeke's radio then went off, so he answered it.

"What's up Rosco? Over."

"The Beast just showed up near the coast! You guys done with the RFI yet?" Everyone then either looked at Kou in either awkward silence or silent anger.

"Uh... change of plans. We're going to have to do this the old fashion way. Beat that son of a bitch till he's down for good."

"What?! Oh, goddamn it! Did Nix break it?!" Nix then crossed her arms in anger.

"Uh, no... Look it's not important! You said the Beast is at the Coast?!"

"Yeah, he's heading towards a Substation! I'm sending my boys to go and hold him off!" Brain then walked over to Zeek and grabbed the radio.

"Negative, don't do that, get your boys out of there but keep firing. Lure the Beast to the town."

"Who is this? Also lead it to the town, are you crazy?!"

"Listen! We got something better than the RFI just lure it to the town, and we get this nightmare to end forever!" Brain then handed Zeke back the radio.

"Listen Rosco, do what he says! It's do or die at this point and I sure as hell don't want to die!"

"Argh! You all better know what you're doing! Over and out!"

Once Rosco was able to evacuate all of his men they set up a perimeter of his men along the Coast where the Beast was coming. Zeke, Nix, Kou, Rosco, Rosco's men, Brain, and the other five MTF Alpha-1 units were all there. Rosco looked at Brain and the other five MTF Alpha-1 units.

"Kinda surprised that the government only decided to send six guys in fancy red armor."

"We're not with the government. But we are here to help."

"Right... so what's your name?"

"Just call me Monster Slayer."

"... Pfft, why are you called that?" Brian looked at Rosco and smiled under his helmet.

"Hm... maybe in a few minutes you'll get to see why." Suddenly they all felt a large thumb on the ground almost as if a giant had just stomped on the ground.

"Shit its coming, everyone get ready!" All of Rosco's men got out rocket launchers and other heavy weaponry. Since Joseph's Militia was gone, they got all their weapons and artillery meaning they had just enough to stand a small chance against the Beast.

"So uh, where exactly is Cole?"

"He's at the other Substations juicing himself up full of as much electricity as possible. He's got this power that allows him to shoot a full thunderstorm worth of lighting allowing him to really put the hurt on the Beast."

"Nice, Conduits really are on a whole other level huh?"

"Oh man you would not believe." Zeke and Brian managed to chuckle despite the stomping form the Beast getting louder and closer. Soon its silhouette was in view, putting everyone on edge.

"First rounds! Fire!" All of Rosco's men armed with rocket launchers then fired at the Beast getting its attention as it roared like a monster.

"Ugh, looks like a man but acts like an animal, is that why they call it the Beast?"

"So, you gonna help out Monster Slayer?"

"Just wait for it to get closer. Once its close enough my squad will rip off its arms and legs then Cole's thunderstorm should be enough to finish off the head and torso. From there, all that's left is to blast apart the Conduit inside until we can use the Q/A-CC-41."

"Rips its limbs off?! How are you and your boys going to do that?!" The Beast was getting closer but still not close enough to the distance Brain wanted. Which was bad since it raised its arms to activate an atomic blast at them.

"Ugh goddamn it, that impatient bastard!" One of the MTF Alpha-1 units then grabbed Brain by the shoulder.

"We don't have a choice, Monster Slayer! We're moving in!"

"Yeah, way ahead of you! Let get this son of a bitch!" The six MTF Alpha-1 units ran forward and to the surprise of everyone, one of the MTF Alpha-1 units revealed a hidden jetpack within his armor and the other sprouted mechanical wings form his armor. Brain then threw his case of Allaxounium into the water as it shifted into a jet ski with Miniguns on it. The other three MTF Alpha-1 units stood along the beach of the coast and raised their weapons which appeared to be strange looking cybernetic rocket launchers. Everyone was left speechless at the sight of the MTF Alpha-1 units, but not Zeke, the was smiling with excitement.

"... Holy hell! I have got to get me one of those things!"

"Which one?"

"All of them man! Every single one!" The three with the rocket launchers fired each one aiming perfectly at the Beast. Two of the rockets impacted both the arms, just below the Beast's the Beasts shoulders. They explosion caused ice to grow out of the arms both hurting the Beast and cooling him down, weakening him. The third ended up hitting the Beast's left knee causing it to stagger.

"I'm defiantly getting those!" Brain on his jet ski activated the miniguns and fired directly at the foot of the right leg of the Beast. However, it wasn't doing any significant damage at all, so Brain waited until his jet ski was much closer. He then activated the Allaxounium to change shape again, transforming into a motorcycle allowing him to drive up the leg. Brain had a smile on his face as this was the exact reason, he loved using the Allaxounium case. Once he reached the knee, he transformed it into a large cybernetic chainsaw and sliced it off of through the knee. Now the Beast was on the ground, roaring in pain and frustration.

"HOLY SHIT! I AM DEFINENTLY GETTING THAT TRANSFORMING MOTORCYCLE!" The Beast tried to get up but as it did the two flying MTF Alpha-1 units sliced the Beast's face with cybernetic swords capable of emitting dangerously cold temperatures thanks to their bose-einstein condensate cores. The Beast only had seconds to roar in pain before its face started freezing up and breaking into pieces. The Beast was slowly falling apart and despite its radioactive body being so hot it could vaporize people just by being close to them, it couldn't defend against the ice.

However, the Beast wasn't willing to give up as it started allowing its body to break apart but instead of exposing John inside, the Beast rearranged the pieces of its body to make a new smaller body. This one was weaker but the heat it was emitting was much hotter. The heat was so intense that even with the temperature nullifying armor the MTF Alpha-1 units had, they were forced to retreat. Kou quickly noticed this and made an ice wall on the coast just to keep everyone from being vaporized.

"Ho yeah, now this is a party!" Nix then teleported right up the Beast's face, supercharged her fist with as much condensed oil as she could.

"You wanna turn up the heat! Let me help you take it up a notch!" Nix then ignited it with as much Napalm as she could while punching the Beast. The impact nearly blew her arm off, but her fast healing prevented her from suffering anything serious. The Beast roared in anger just after it built a new body only for it to get damaged again.

Brain smirked while chuckling pridefully and tried to activate his Allaxounium case again back into a jet ski to get him out of the water. But unfortunately, the Allaxounium started malfunctioning due to over usage. Brain sighed, it was common knowledge that Allaxounium can malfunction and run out of power very quickly which only made the fact that it was such a useful material so frustrating.

Though one of the flying MTF-Alpha-1 units got him out of the water before his suit started failing to block out the radiation. Once they got him back on land, he went to the others behind Kou's ice wall while the two flying MTF Alpha-1 units tried their best to help Nix hurt the Beast.

"Ugh, damn it, the fights barely started and we're already in a stalemate!"

"We gotta cool that thing down! Kou! Can't you blast it into submission?!"

"Are you insane?! My ice is cold but there's no way I can make that much! Look, I'm not like Cole, he can get stronger as long as he has electricity, but Electricity is almost everywhere! Ice? You only find that in the clouds and in freezers! Where am I supposed to get enough ice to..." The three MTF Alpha-1 units with the rocket launchers looked at Kou and then at their weapons. Zeke and Kou then looked at each other thinking the same thing.

"Uh... could that work?"

"Wait, no that would kill me!" Brain then quickly entered the conversation.

"Hey, wait a minute, can't conduits heal super-fast?"

"Well yeah but-"

"And doesn't absorbing their assigned element make them not only stronger but recover much faster."

"... Yes."

"So, if we were to let Kou hold the bombs and set them off, she could absorb the Nitrogenic Gas in the explosives so fast that she won't be hurt by the explosion at all."

"I would like to remind everyone that's a big IF!"

"Well IF it does work..." Brain then walked over to his units grab their Nitrogenic Gas bombs and rocket launchers as they handed it to him. He then handed them all to Kou with a look of disapproval on his face.

"Consider it your apology for destroying the RFI." Kou was speechless at first but then she sighed, she couldn't deny she really messed up by destroying the RFI and she really didn't apologize for it. Brain put an explosive of his own with the only difference that this one was connected to a trigger that Brain was holding.

"Alright, step back. Once we're a good distance I'll activate that bomb which will activate the others." Suddenly the heard rumbling followed by the Beast roaring in anger.

"Come on hurry!" They all quickly backed away from Kou who was still reluctantly holding the bombs.

"Hey hold on, uh, listen Kou. I know your gonna make it but on the OFF chance you don't... got any last words?"

"... Fuck off, Zeke."

"... Alright, good enough, hey we're a good distance light her up!"

"Wait I'm not-!"

"Sorry too late!" Brain then pressed the trigger, and the bombs went off immediately. Kou screamed as she was burnt badly by the explosions but just as they predicted once the ice started forming, she was able to absorb it and heal quickly. As the ice was getting absorbed, she was not only healing from the explosion but getting visibly stronger. Her skin was turning into crystal like ice, her eyes were glowing blue, and the air around her was getting colder. Once it was over, she was like a mini version of the Beast only instead of heat and energy she was emitting ice and a cold aura.

"Arrgh... Time to pay John!" Kou then blasted up in the air and once the Beast was in her line of sight, she unleashed a concentrated beam of pure ice. The Beast was trying but failing to swat at the two flying MTF Alpha-1 units and Nix who was teleporting around and blasting him to bits. However suddenly one of the MTF Alpha-1 units flew away while the other grabbed Nix and flew towards the edge of Kou's ice wall.

"Hey! Watch where your grabbing! Besides why the hell are you saving me? I had-" Suddenly Kou's ice beam made contact with the Beast quickly cooling down his radiation and his overall aura of pure energy. As the Ice started growing all over his body, the heat that was holding it together was getting extinguished causing him to fall apart.

"Oh... never mind." Nix then teleported to the ground and met back up with Brain, Rosco, Zeke, and the other MTF Alpha-1 units.

"Uh, so what's with... Ice queen up there... or Ice goddess, I guess?"

"She absorbed all the ice from our bombs and now she's supercharged."

"Seriously? Fucking wicked! Say you wouldn't happen to have any more bombs ones that maybe have some napalm? or maybe just oil canisters."

"Nah sorry, the higher ups figured only ice would work so that's all we got." Finally, Kou was done blasting and as she exhausted herself, she ended up falling. Nix smirked, teleported up, caught her, and teleported back down with Kou in her hands.

"Nice one Kou! I almost forgive you for destroying the RFI."

"Ugh, is everyone just going to keep holding that over my head?" At the same time everyone around her said "yes" which left Kou glaring at everyone in annoyance.

"Well, you did redeem yourself, thanks to you the Beast has been reduced greatly in power, I'll just go over and activate the Q/A-CC-41 and get this son of a-" However just then on all the visors of the MTF Alpha-1 units a warning was displayed showing a rapid buildup of atomic energy.

"Holy- Everyone get out of the way!" Suddenly the wall of ice Kou created started to melt, and the Beast just ran through it, instantly turning the ice into steam. Kou, Zeke, Rosco, Nix and the MTF-Alpha-1 units managed to get out of the way, but Zeke was badly burned and Rosco was practically scorched since he was the closest to the Beast. The Beast then ran into the city as it roared in anger.

"Fuck! The fucking beast killed Rosco, he's dead!"

"Argh, damn it! What the hell?! How did it do that? Kou just basted it with enough ice to rebuild the polar ice caps!"

"Damn it man, it's just like back in Empire City! Cole hit that thing with enough lighting to fry an electrical grid of a damn whole continent, but the damn thing still got back up and stronger than ever! The fucking thing can keep going as long as it has heat!"

"Heat?! What heat?! There's no nuclear reactor! There's no fusion core! There's no atomic bomb here! There's not even a damn bonfire! How where the hell is that monster getting this much heat?" Zeke then pointed to the sky, Brain was confused but looked to where Zeke was pointing and ended up staring at the sun.

"... oh... God, fucking damn it."

"Yeah, this is going to be harder than we all thought."

"Hey! Zeke you there?"

"Yeah Cole, listen! The Beast is inside the city now!"

"Yeah, I can kinda see that Zeke, what the hell happened?"

"Turns out the asshole is absorbing heat directly from the sun! Kou managed to hit him with a full-on winter's worth of ice and he still got back up before we could use that Monster Slayer's weapon. Please tell me your almost done charging. We could really use your lighting right about now."

"Ugh, damn it not yet, but I might not have a choice. Its fucking chaos in here! Rosco's men, Vermaak 88, and what's left of the Corrupted! Their all fighting each other and the Beast!"

"Wait Corrupted? I think I got an idea." Nix then teleported away leaving the rest of the group confused.

"Ugh damn we might need her."

"Relax man, no one hates the Beast more than her, and I really hate the Beast. She'll come through... eventually."

"Ugh, so Nix is gone and Cole's still charging up, and everyone who's fighting the beast is currently dying. Fuck it's my hometown all over again."

"What?"

"My hometown we got attacked by this giant blob that was completely indestructible. fire, bullets, pipes, man even explosives didn't do anything. me and my... friend at the time, only managed to kill it with a whole lot of liquid nitrogen."

"... Okay... so I guess relying on liquid nitrogen is out the window, I mean unless Kou wants to try that whole bomb thing again."

"Absolutely not!"

"Alright, alright, got it. So, what then?" Brain then backed off the group to think for a moment.

"Hm... Cole just needs time, right? Let's give it to him then. You guys are familiar with the locals, right? Get Rosco's men and this Vermaak 88 or whatever it's called to stop fighting each other and help us kill the beast."

"Uh that's a little easier said than done."

"But me and Cole have allies in Vermaak 88, and now that the Ice General is dead, we can convince the rest to join us."

"Alright then, get to it Kou, I'll go and round up Rosco's boys, I guess we can assume Nix has the corrupted covered but us. What about you boys?"

"The Beast isn't down but he's weak, so we'll at least keep him that way until Cole is ready."

"You're going to fight that thing head on knowing it can blow up at any moment and is currently getting stronger by the moment?"

"... well, that things a monster and I might as well live up to my name, or at least die trying. But let me tell you, I have no intention of dying." Zeke then smiled and raised his fist to Brian.

"Let's survive then so you, me, and Cole can get some beers, okay?" Brian smiled and bumped his own fist lightly with Zeke's.

"I don't drink, get me a soda instead."

"Heh, seriously? You're missing out!" Zeke continued to smile as he ran off to rally what remained of Rosco's men, Kou then nodded at Brain and flew to find the remainder of Vermaak 88. The five other MTF Alpha-1 units then rallied around Brain.

"... Well boys, anyone got some inspiring words before we go and defeat Sauron?" The five MTF Alpha-1 units all looked at him in silence.

"... gods damn it I miss Zeke and the others already." Brain then got out his Double Barrel Foundation Assault Rifle and loaded it with a drum magazine filled with C rounds.

"Let's get this son of a bitch!"
