came back for a bit just to say I hate Zepotha so so so much because that fact it’s so popular you can’t have a set in stone cast of main characters, plot, or lore. Also the fact that there’s even AO3 Stories of it baffles me cause how do you even make a fic of something that doesn’t even have everything you need to have a good coherent story (like main characters, character relationships, plot, lore, etc)
anywho I love Goncharov so much and TikTokers are little copycats

31 Nights of Halloween Horror: day 16
My choice for last night was: Prom Night (1980)

I rated this movie 5/10. Average 80's teen slasher movie. The unlikeable characters were unlikeable, you felt bad for the people you were supposed to feel bad for. The identity of the killer was very obvious. Jamie Lee Curtis did a great job, as she always does. If you like 80's cheesy horror, you'll like this.

Zepotha: A gaslighting Internet Phenomenon
Zepotha is new, and when I say new I mean the person who started it literally started it yesterday. It's a TikTok trend where people are pretending that an indie Horror film called Zepotha came out in 1984. They have characters, vague scene names, and a bunch of other stuff. It’s basically a giant inside joke.
It seems pretty fun and in general, is harmless. Except, this is the internet people. Nothing stays harmless for long.
One: the fact that people are gaslighting people and making people feel crazy is, you know, not great.
It's another thing if it were just a fun thing that people were doing. Making up a movie and jokingly being like, “Oh yea it’s totally real” but clarifying that it’s not(Which people are not clarifying that it isn’t real, like I’ve never seen people so committed to a lie). But I’m seeing videos and comments of people literally arguing and fighting people that are saying it’s not real. And that’s not healthy at all.
I just know that it's going to get wildly out of hand in the next couple of days.

It's Bex's turn and she's coming out the gate with the cheesy and fun, Death Spa. It's about an evil ghost killing people at a fancy spa in the 80s, what more do you want?
It's great to watch if you feel most horror movies are too scary and you need something silly.
