hey bread-clipblr need some help

so this puppy right? i was originally just comparing it to the breadclip species website to kinda just chuckle at myself a bit, but then i actually kinda got stuck cause i don't actually know which species it is.

like, it's in their Tridentidae family, but i can't really find one it fits to a tee, and i'm not sure what parts are and aren't considered characteristics of specific types.

it has the outer body of this one, but the mouth(?) is all wrong

and this one has the mouth(?) right, and the body wrong

i can't find one that fits right and it's kinda actually bugging me now, anyone actually got anything to help me out here

Reminds of that post that circulated a while back of somebody showing a picture of a bread clip with a smug “Nobody under the age of XXX knows what this is” remark.

...did they think teenagers download bread now?

heard someone say "who even owns a rolling pin anymore" and my brain froze trying to process it. what does that mean. are u implying rolling pins are outdated technology? did we come up with a shiny new 21st century method of flattening dough of which i remain uninformed? is there now an app on the app store people are using instead??? im losing my mind "who even owns a rolling pin" people who BAKE

I have just sent one in today! I had emailed photos of the specimens I had found of the newly-discovered mimic genus, cartonalis -which is made of cardboard- as the patterns on the ones I have seen in the area did not match those described on their website. I was indeed the first one to point out these particular markings, and a physical sample was offered and gratefully accepted.

i updated my inprnt with recent paintings and quilts i’ve made! lots and lots of niche collections including plankton, star sand, crinoid fossils and bread clips :) everyone on tumblr has been so generous in their support of my art - I am waiting to hear back about an artists residency opportunity I’ve applied for taking place this winter as well as some additional shows, and your support from my loose studio sale has allowed me to deal with application fees so thank you!!
