Hey Bernfolk, I don't know you, but I've always felt the urge to slap one or two of Jon's characters here or there. I'm pretty sure that I'm not alone in this 😂. I'm not meaning it in a mean way, at least not fully, otherwise I'd have included a character like Wayne. I mean it more in an "you're a pain in my ass but I'd kiss you anyway." way 😂

(Yes, I'm aware that this is Mikey and that he's not part of the options, but I did it on purpose so I don't influence your reply by using a character from the poll. It's mostly because I love how well you see his cheek here... And he's pretty 😁)

In honor of The Accountant 2’s forthcoming release, here’s the Braxton character study that’s been languishing in my docs since 2023.

Braxton’s pretty good at reading people, especially in high stress situations. This is good, considering his job is to put people into what could, euphemistically, be called high stress situations. He thinks most of it is because of his brother, who was hard to read and well trained out of complaining and found more situations to be stressful than the general public did. Brax hasn’t seen the guy in years. Doesn’t know he’s alive, except in the bone deep instinctual way that he would say, in that flat tone of his, has no scientific basis.

“Underneath it all, I think especially with Braxton, is just this unbelievable yearning to have his brother in his life and this unbelievable loneliness that he's been trying to fill with all these very empty ways,” says Bernthal.
