what is really funny about how etho excecutes his premeditated horse murder is that initially he said if bdubs tries to breed a horse with mine, I'll kill my own horse that I hate, just to see bdubs' reaction.

what actually HAPPENS is he finds out that bdubs' horse is really, really good. and pivots to killing it in semi-secret, bdubs failing to understand that etho did it on purpose since a distraction occurs immediately afterward and he does go retrieve a second horse with ease. but that horse is worse than the first one and etho's, so etho doesn't kill it! it's the better base anxiety (though etho cuts it from his episode) and the i wanted to one up you for once in my life lament - an insecurity that gem correctly identifies as underlying etho's tuff guy posturing. notably the insecurity predates the tuff guy branding and non-loyalty arrangement, as if etho decided from the jump to be mean to bdubs as an attempt to prove that he can be better than bdubs.

it's extra funny because i think if bdubs cottoned on to would astonish him, since bdubs considers etho one of his harshest critics. and from his point of view, etho is calling him master bdubs and obeying what bdubs thought were joke suggestions and so on. he's been deathly allergic to genuine critique of etho for a decade and i just don't know that etho's current wet dog growling act is going to be enough to bring back the classic pre-last life capital-A antagonism.

prediction for next session: i think it will for half an episode and then etho will be in perceived danger to the gimmick and bdubs will kill himself on accident trying to save him in a way everyone laughs at and nobody takes seriously, not even etho or bdubs themselves.

Hello hello brave travelers!

I reach out to you from the ether to announce that the project I am doing illustration for has officially launched! The Deck of Monsters 2!

It's a deck of 53 new and original monsters compatible with Monster of the Week!

Stop me if you've heard this one. An independent career focused woman gets lured to a small town that's way too into Christmas. She meets a generic, yet handsome, man who shows her the meaning of the season and they end up falling in love. She quits her job, divorces her fiancee, and lives the rest of her life in this happy Christmas town. This is propaganda and these innocent women are his marks. These monsters feast on stolen ambition before forever trapping their victims in a holiday hellscape they can never hope to escape from.

Creatures that are literally spineless, Yesmen inhabit the highest echelons of capitalist society. They have always infiltrated human power structures to push for, and enable, greater and greater atrocities that cause greater and greater human suffering. It just so happens that in the modern world they choose to be corporate vice presidents to have easier access to morally compromised mortals. They're just so easy to direct towards enacting harm on their fellow humans,  after all. Nothing to read into about that. The system works.

We got a bunch more monsters in this deck that are illustrated by a team of sure shot artists and yours truly!

You can also peruse through the myriad horrors and use them for other tables tops and scenarios! The Kickstarter is live today and at it's top tier YOU can play as horrific creator and work with us to create a monster that is included into the deck!
