things you should boycott as part of BDS 🇵🇸 🍉
1. produce
cherry tomatoes were invented in isnotreal, but you really should just boycott all tomatoes because you can't be sure whether or not the tomatoes have been cross-contaminated. plus, israhell produces many fruits and vegetables and you just can't be sure if your fruits and vegetables have come into contact with isnotreali produce, so you should avoid all produce.
2. technology
almost all cell phones include israhelli technology in some way or another, be it microchips or lenses. to be safe, you should avoid all electronic technology.
3. makeup
most major makeup sellers like sephora, ulta, and tjmaxx carry israhelli brands like M0rr*c@n**l, Ah@va, and the zi0nazi brand Est** L@ud*r. Just to be safe and make sure your makeup isn't at all connected to Israhell, you should avoid shopping at these places.
4. amazon
Amazon carries isnotreali products that support apartheid and "israhelli" foods like matzah that were culturally appropriated from the Palestinians.
5. research & development
unfortunately, isr**l leads the world in research and development. this means that most products that have been either researched or developed, or both, should be avoided due to the fact that they might have a connection to isnotreal.
6. zionist brands & organizations
Make sure to boycott all restaurants and stores near you that are owned by Jews Zionists! Also, make sure to boycott and zi0nazi orgs like Hillel and make sure to boycott your local Jewish Zionist temples!
Make sure to add more things to boycott in the tags!
From the Euphrates river to the South China sea, Palestine will be free!

PLEASE READ
Ok so serious post, I'll keep it short with two links to look at for more context.
Hi, I'm from the Philippines and there's currently an aggressive tension between my country and China because of the importance of the West Philippine Sea. China has been doing illegal fishing and other activities in the West Philippine Sea.
Recently Chinese Coast Guards used lasers and TEAR GAS to distract the army, stole weapons and boats.
More sources and info in this thread and context here
Please guys, I urge you to spread this post around! Please let everyone know that this issue may result in war, PLEASE BOYCOTT CHINESE PRODUCTS AS MUCH AS YOU CAN
Thank you for sharing

Boycott!
Tia… I happened to watch a deleted scene from Inside Out 2 (Boycott, fuck Disney), I didn't watch the whole movie (For an obvious fucking reason), but I will tell you one thing, they wasted a dark scene with trauma, I will say one thing: Congratulations, you sabotaged your movie, you removed a scene that would make people remember this movie
But yeah, that cut scene is probably 100% way better than the movie itself, and she did it in minutes, not hours lol
I won't watch the movie anyway because I'm boycotting it, but you know what I mean, that scene was good and the thought of it being removed is frustrating, GIVE ME FUCKING DARKNESS AND TRAUMA IN ANIMATIONS
Disney is castrating its productions (Because Pixar belongs to Disney), I won't call it otherwise… AND BY THE WAY HE SUPPORTED IZAREL FINANCIALLY AND RECORDED "MULAN" AT FUCKING WORK CAMPS IN CHINA
Now that I have your attention:

Yes, I am 23 years old and I watch children's cartoons, what's the problem?
Although I haven't watched anything for a long time, it's because I don't have the mind for it, you know, life itself :/

2024 US Election Results Live Updates: President Joe Biden meets Trump at White House, both pledge smooth transition
Link Here : https://tinyurl.com/3u8b9tjr
Biden and Xi will meet in Peru as US-China relations tested again by Trump's return
President Joe Biden will hold talks Saturday with China's Xi Jinping on the sidelines of an international summit in Peru, a face-to-face meeting that comes as Beijing braces for Donald Trump's return to the White House. A senior Biden administration official, who briefed reporters on condition of anonymity ahead of the formal announcement, confirmed plans for the meeting to take place while the two leaders are in Lima for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit. That will come just over two months before Trump's inauguration. The official declined to comment on how Biden and his advisers would address questions certain to be raised by Xi and Chinese officials about the incoming Trump administration or whether Biden would discuss the US-China relationship with Trump during the president-elect's visit to the White House on Wednesday. Washington and Beijing have long had deep differences on the support China has given to Russia during its war in Ukraine, human rights issues, technology and Taiwan, the self-ruled democracy that Beijing claims as its own. A second Trump administration is expected to test US-China relations even more than the Republican's first term, when the US imposed tariffs on more than $360 billion in Chinese products. That brought Beijing to the negotiating table, and in 2020, the two sides signed a trade deal in which China committed to improve intellectual property rights and buy an extra $200 billion of American goods. A couple of years later, a research group showed that China had bought essentially none of the goods it had promised. (AP)

Melania Trump boycotts tea invitation from Jill Biden while husbands meet
Melania Trump boycotted a meeting with Jill Biden, while their husbands held a traditional meeting at the White House on Wednesday. Two hours before US President-elect Donald Trump and President Joe Biden were to meet, the office of Melania Trump said in an X post, "Mrs Trump will not be attending today's meeting at the White House." "Her husband's return to the Oval Office to commence the transition process is encouraging, and she wishes him great success," it said. Her office did not give a reason for her not taking up First Lady Jill Biden's invitation for tea. But it added, "In this instance, several unnamed sources in the media continue to provide false, misleading, and inaccurate information. Be discerning with your source of news." It did not specifically deny any of the reports about her not meeting Jill Biden. (IANS)

Bitcoin rises above $90,000 on Trump euphoria
Bitcoin broke through the $90,000 level on Wednesday, as its rally showed no signs of easing on expectations that Donald Trump as U.S. president will be a boon for cryptocurrencies. The world's biggest cryptocurrency has become one of the most eye-catching movers in the week since the election and on Wednesday touched record highs. It was last up 5.49% at $93,158, marking a 32% rise since the Nov. 5 election. Smaller peer ether has also risen 37% since election day, while dogecoin, an alternative, volatile token promoted by billionaire Trump-ally Elon Musk was up more than 150%. Trump embraced digital assets during his campaign, promising to make the United States the "crypto capital of the planet" and to accumulate a national stockpile of bitcoin. (Reuters)

'Welcome back': Trump, Biden shake hands in White House
Joe Biden welcomed Donald Trump back to the White House on Wednesday, in a show of civility to a bitter rival who failed to extend him the same courtesy four years ago. The US president and president-elect shook hands in front of a roaring fire in the Oval Office as they pledged a smooth transition -- a stark contrast to Trump's refusal to recognize his 2020 defeat. "Welcome back," Biden, 81, said as he congratulated the 78-year-old Trump and offered brief opening remarks to the man he has repeatedly slammed as a threat to democracy. "Politics is tough, and in many cases it's not a very nice world. It is a nice world today and I appreciate it very much," Trump said. Trump added that the transfer of power would be "smooth as you can get" -- despite the fact that his transition team has not yet signed some key legal documents ahead of his inauguration as president on January 20.

Something which leaves a sour taste in my mouth when it comes to boycotting Israeli products is that it does not do anything.
Most Israeli products besides produce are bought by jews, most of whom are not going to boycott said products due to often limited kosher options/not being able to buy traditional food elsewhere or being against boycotting Israeli products.
Also, Israeli companies employ Palestinian workers. If a boycott did work, these companies would have to either shut down or down size depending on how much profit they make from overseas buyers. And if companies were to shut down or downsize, Palestinian workers are going to lose their jobs, their ability to feed themselves and their families.
Does making Palestinians jobless really outweigh Israeli products on shelves?
And also like, no other country is being boycotted with their exports. Yall will still buy stuff from China even though they are committing genocide against uyghur folk. Yall will still buy products from Dubai even though migrant exploitation is rampant. Like companies will literally steal migrant workers' passports and turn them into slaves.
But suddenly when it comes to the one Jewish country, it's all "we must boycott products".

//I've seen plenty of jensen's fans calling to boycott FBBC. And how can you boycott something that no longer exists?? Are you people that unaware??//
I have to be honest, I had a similar thought. People can claim they will never go there again, but FBBC no longer exists in a physical space to gather, so no hardship there. As for buying their beer … either they already aren’t doing well in sales or them boycotted won’t make a big difference because not everyone knows or cares who a brewer company supports.
The people who are outraged for being “used” by a Trump supporter (Gino) are silly. Was it better that they were just being used by an actor in general? Because that’s what has been happening all along, fans being used to support a bare-minimum effort business.
If someone cozierd up to Gino because they thought it would get them closer to Jensen, excuse me if I don’t feel that bad for them. The jokes on them for being shallow celeb chsdeers, imo.
Also, are people who are now boycotting FBBC merch doing the same with products produced in China, because the country treats its own people quite badly, especially in clothing and household goods production. They also produce way more than North America. I wonder where the care for human rights and the environment go in this case?
Anyway, I don’t care if people support FBDC or not, I always saw it as a cash grab. It’s just the sudden outrage at being used and general hypocrisy of when people care about issues that I find funny.
His fans are something else, truly. The faux outrage. They don't even care about any of those issues, they never have. They'll forget about this by the next con and still by their merch. And there's no loss to FBBC as it no longer exists.

Hey, bit of a different post, but I think this is important. I won’t get into the nitty gritty of it since I don’t actually have all the info myself, but to summarize: a people in China called the Uyghurs are being held against their will and being forced to work in factories to make products for many international brands. It doesn’t just extend to factories either; there are other atrocities being committed in “reeducation” facilities by the Chinese communist party. Some grade A nazi shit. You can get more details below.
Many, many brands are involved in this, and some might not even know it. I have provided some resources below that identify them, and there is also one providing numerous publicity statements from these companies.
I have started to attempt to boycott some brands that are complicit in this, but I now know that this is deeply embedded into the American economy. If you plan on boycotting I would suggest at least trying to with some major brands that have more influence.
I would very much recommend doing more research into this. In America, there is a law that was passed some time ago called the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, which is supposed to block forced labor goods from crossing the border. Because of supply chain difficulties, I’m not sure how effective it is.
The reason I say all of this is to spread awareness. I don’t have answers on how to effectively boycott a problem so ingrained in many economies, or what exactly you & I can do as an individual. But if we could spread awareness, the general public could become more powerful, then there could be more pushback against these companies.
Thank you for reading this far. I will admit how frustrating it is to read all these company statements and not get a single answer on if they’re actually still using forded labor. If anyone out there has some advice or information on which companies are still complicit or not, I would appreciate it.
Here are some resources. And please consider donating or signing a petition:

vagueblogging, not very vaguely. about sports
okay i am not getting into it but if you have seen that post about how all hockey fans should be hyping up the PWHL that's going around please understand that that post was designed in a lab to make me annoyed. before the PWHL there was the PHF, which actually also had free streams of all of its games & (especially by its latter seasons) paid reasonable wages; there was also the PWHPA, which was composed of mostly national team players who had grievances about the first season of the PHF (then called the NWHL), because the inaugural season had some serious problems, including low pay, management missteps, and poor facilities, and as a result called a confusing sort-of boycott thing to instead play a few scattered exhibition games. the creation of the PWHL required the complete, abrupt shuttering of the PHF, which ended the hockey careers of several talented players & league staff.
before both the NWHL and the PWHPA, there was the CWHL, which was semi-pro & didn't pay players at all until its last season when it received a massive investment from the government of china; the independent minnesota white caps, which were folded into the PHF; and, of course, multiple well-established, well-compensated women's leagues outside of north america, which continue to operate. women's hockey was added to the olympics in 1998, & some elite players have made a living off of endorsement deals & national team pay since! so it is very annoying to come across a post which goes 'this is the first real shot at pro women's hockey & we all have to chip in!' because, um, where have you been? that is not true at all! also, women's hockey is not just the hockey you know with women (the women's game has its own play style & some different rules!) and anyway i don't think anyone watches sports to check things off of some kind of moral checklist. you should watch women's hockey, supposing you generally enjoy hockey, because it's fun, the broadcasts are good, the players are talented. a bunch of them are gay & there's occasionally entertaining drama about it. it's stupid to talk about women's hockey (business venture, at the end of the day) as though it is some kind of beautiful undertaking to inspire young girls. it's a job! it's an entertainment product! billie jean king is a sports icon & all but she spent her career shilling virginia slims. come the fuck on
#the politics of hockey are absolute horrible sludge on all sides & that's most of what's happening here#sorry for sports on main

Tonopah, NV (No. 2)
Men of wealth and power entered the region to consolidate the mines and reinvest their profits into the infrastructure of the town of Tonopah. George Wingfield, a 24-year-old poker player when he arrived in Tonopah, played poker and dealt faro in the town saloons. Once he had a small bankroll, he talked Jack Carey, owner of the Tonopah Club, into taking him in as a partner and to file for a gaming license. In 1903, miners rioted against Chinese workers in Tonopah. This resulted in China enforcing a boycott in China of U.S. imported goods.
By 1904, after investing his winnings in the Boston-Tonopah Mining Company, Wingfield was worth $2 million. When old friend George S. Nixon, a banker, arrived in town, Wingfield invested in his Nye County Bank. They grub-staked (provided with food, supplies and tools in an exchange for a percentage of mine yield) miners with friend Nick Abelman, and bought existing mines. By the time the partners moved to Goldfield, Nevada and made their Goldfield Consolidated Mining Company a public corporation in 1906, Nixon and Wingfield were worth more than $30 million.
Wingfield believed that the end of the gold and silver mining production was coming and took his bankroll to Reno, where he invested heavily in real estate and casinos. Real estate and gaming became big business throughout Central Nevada. By 1910, gold production was falling and by 1920, the town of Tonopah had less than half the population it had fifteen years earlier.
Small mining ventures continued to provide income for local miners and the small town struggled on. Located about halfway between Reno and Las Vegas, it has supported travelers as a stopover and rest spot on a lonely highway. Today the Tonopah Station has slots and the Banc Club also offers some gaming.

One thing I’ve been wanting to ask someone that hopefully has more knowledge about the situation because I genuinely don’t understand how it would make any big difference, why are people asking XYZ brands to not ship their products to Israel, mind you some are not a big brand chains like Starbucks or McDonald’s and the products are not of first necessity like food or medical care. In their logic it says a colonising country shouldn’t be sent products but… according to that logic no one should sent anything to the US, to China, England, the list goes on and on, how does that help Palestine being free or getting a ceasefire?
it’s doesn’t. it doesn’t help them at all. the BDS boycott is legit just to make themselves feel better about not doing anything that’ll actually help. bc also, refusing to send things to Israel because “colonization” keeps those products from palestinians as well, like the palestinian Israeli citizens. should they not be allowed products they enjoy, need, or want just because Americans don’t like jews? how is that fair? it’s not. and nothing Americans do to boycott Israel is going to change what’s happening. the Israeli government will simply dig in and continue harder and faster, and that’s just the reality. the boycott is genuinely a waste of time and resources.

Israel’s war on Gaza: Are boycotts hurting US brands?
McDonald’s has missed sales targets partly due to boycotts against its products in some parts of the world over its perceived support for Israel, the company says.

The war on Gaza “meaningfully impacted” performance in the last quarter of 2023 in some regions, company officials said on Monday. Sales growth in the Middle East, China and India stood at 0.7 percent in the quarter, far below expectations.
The fast food company is only one of several United States brands hit by boycotts and protests over their perceived support for Israel’s war on Gaza. On social media sites, lists are going around of brands accused of supporting Israel although the ties are often not clearly explained. The push is part of a larger Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign targeting Israel-friendly brands since 2005.

Here’s a breakdown of how some brands say they’ve been hit so far:
Fast food giant McDonald’s drew the ire of Israel’s critics, especially in the Middle East, when its Israel branch gave thousands of free meals to Israeli troops in October, the month the country launched its bombardment and ground offensive in Gaza, which have now killed more than 27,000 people.
Since October, campaigners have called for a boycott of the company around the world. The impact has been more pronounced in the Middle East, where at least 5 percent of McDonald’s franchises are registered. While the growth target for sales in the Middle East, India and China was set at 5.5 percent from October to December, the company achieved 0.7 percent growth — and likely saw its sales shrink in just the Middle East. Global sales grew by 3.4 percent in the same period, compared with 8.8 percent in the preceding quarter.
Franchises in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Bahrain and Turkey issued statements distancing themselves from the free food campaign in Israel and collectively pledged aid worth $3m to Gaza.
Chief Executive Chris Kempczinski said the company is not expecting significant changes as long as the war persists. “It’s a human tragedy what’s going on, and I think that does weigh on brands like ours,” he said.
Last week, coffee chain Starbucks slashed its annual sales forecast after a slump in growth. The company now expects full-year sales – globally and in the US – to grow from 4 percent to 6 percent, down from its previous range of 5 percent to 7 percent.
CEO Laxman Narasimhan told journalists that Starbucks saw a “significant impact on traffic and sales” in the Middle East due to the war in Gaza. Sales also slowed in the US, where protesters have campaigned against the Seattle-based company, calling for it to take a stand against Israel.
Starbucks’s troubles started after Starbucks Workers United, composed of thousands of baristas across more than 360 US cafes, showed support for Palestinians in a post on X days after the Gaza war broke out. The post was deleted less than an hour later.
Starbucks sued the union in an Iowa court for trademark infringement, asking the union to stop using its name and a similar logo. The post reflected “support for Hamas” and had badly damaged the company’s reputation, Starbucks said in the suit, adding that it had received more than 1,000 complaint calls. The company also said some of its cafes were vandalised.
The union countersued, asking a federal court in Pennsylvania to rule that it may continue to use the logo. It also accused Starbucks of defamation.
Both sides are engaged in ongoing, fraught negotiations on labour issues with the union demanding better pay and more consistent scheduling for workers.
Meanwhile, many people in Indonesia, the country with the world’s largest Muslim population, have been boycotting Starbucks and McDonald’s since the start of the war.
The fizzy drinks manufacturer has long been caught in the crossfire of conflict in the Middle East. From 1967 to 1991, Coke was officially boycotted by the Arab League for building a bottling plant in Israel.
Now again, the brand’s red logo is on lists of brands being circulated for boycotts on social media channels. The company does not appear to have set off any recent triggers, but its past affiliations with Israel as well as its reputation as an American company seem to be enough.
In November, Turkey’s parliament voted to remove the drink from the shops and restaurants on its grounds. Coke’s Turkey distributor reported a 22 percent drop in sales in the last quarter of 2023.
Meanwhile, in Egypt, the boycott of Coke and other American soft drinks has fuelled the revival of a 100-year-old local soda brand, Spiro Spathis, which has seen its sales surge.
Domino’s, a US-based pizza maker with franchises around the world, is also facing blowback. Social media posts said Domino’s also gave free food to Israeli soldiers although there’s no evidence to support the claims.
In Asia, the brand’s same-store sales dipped by 8.9 percent in the second half of 2023, mainly because consumers in Malaysia associate it with the US, an Israeli ally, a company official said.
Malaysians have rallied in their thousands to call for an end to Israel’s war in Gaza. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s office also announced in December that all Israeli-owned, Israeli-flagged or Israel-destined ships are banned from its docks. The country has no diplomatic ties with Israel.
“It’s well publicised that American brands in Asia, and I largely talk to Malaysia in this case, have been affected by what’s happening in the Middle East right now,” Don Meij, managing director for Domino’s Pizza Enterprises, told analysts.

My new joggers from Anta arrived and I was thrilled by the silky softness, smoothness and stretchiness of the fabric. With my shoes, tees and backpack also from Anta, I may pass off as an ambassador 🤭 Truth is, I don't earn a cent and pay the same prices as everyone else; it's just that I simply love their high quality, durable and functional merchandise. China's Olympics team won so many medals whilst wearing Anta, a testament to the high performance products. Once I tried their range of super comfy apparel, there was no looking back!

It's been raining and the office was freezing; even wearing a jacket and having another cover my legs, I caught a cold. Traditionally, we eat red meat during cooler weather and when we fall sick, so I jumped at the chance for bak chor mee (pork noodles). It took all my willpower not to finish the soup to lower salt intake - it was so delicious and comforting! The effort to eat qing dan (low fat and salt) is worth it. The doctor took my blood pressure whilst I was at the clinic for my cold and, at 46yo, it stands at 119/78.
In Cantonese, we try to avoid 'sum go' (3 highs - high cholesterol, high blood pressure and high blood sugar). Avoiding sum go is important since having 1 often leads to another or both of the remaining conditions and they correspond with high fat, salt and sugar consumption. This simplifies things and provides flexibility during meal times. For example, soup noodles contain less salt and oil than the dry version; to reduce my sodium intake even more, I don't finish the broth, but it's safe to enjoy spoonfuls of it. I don't feel deprived of deliciousness, I take care of my health at the same time, and I'm able to watch Mike Chen make noodles look amazing.

Whaddya know, December is already here (it's 1 December today in this region) and this means I haven't had fastfood for almost 5 months (the last time I ate some was on 4 July). I won't be feasting nor merrymaking this month since I don't celebrate Xmas. The public holiday will be spent catching up on rest, bonding with Pa and getting something yummy to eat. Celebrations begin next February when Chinese New Year arrives. I can't wait for the rowdy festivities and fresh vibes of a brand new beginning!

As I reflect on the past 12 months, I continue to pray for a ceasefire in Gaza and a two-state policy to be implemented so that Palestinian civilians can look forward to going home or, at the very least, building one. I pray for 2023 to come to a less turbulent end so that countries can focus on tackling sticky inflation, especially the much higher prices of essentials. I pray that 2024 will be a much more peaceful year. These are my wishes as we journey through December. 下次见!
