She was seven, a whirlwind of freckles and laughter, so excited to have a new baby in the family. It had become a tradition in their house, this older sibling adoption. The eldest would take the youngest, showering them with attention, teaching them everything they knew. A miniature mentorship program, filled with scraped knees, shared secrets, and an unwavering bond.

For Katie, it was her turn. She was going to be the best big sister ever. A boy or a girl, it didn’t matter. She’d teach them everything, from the best hiding spots in the garden to the correct way to tackle a football. She’d introduce them to her friends, share her toys, and protect them from the world.

She remembered the day you arrived, a tiny, wrinkled bundle. You fit perfectly in the palm of her hand. She was careful, so careful, as she held you, her heart pounding with a mixture of love and responsibility. She’d named you ‘Squishy’ that day, a name that stuck for a few weeks before you graduated to something more...permanent.

She tried your siblings but they were no use each either shouting out random names or asking "Wait Y/n had a nickname, i thought it was just Ella and Lauren." It was as if it had been erased from the family history, a forgotten chapter in a well-loved story.

Desperation crept into her heart. She was losing you, she had lost you. Katie remembered, the fearless, protective big sister role she used to proudly play, but your part was fading if not already gone.

One evening, as she sat alone in the quiet of her living room, a flicker of memory ignited within her. She closed her eyes, focusing on the sensation of warmth, the smell of baby powder, the sound of soft giggles. And then, it came to her, as clear as day.

"Luch."

The word slipped out of her lips, a whisper in the still air. It was perfect, simple, and utterly fitting. Luch it was mouse in Irish something she had just learned in school and it fit you perfectly you were as quite as a mouse even as a baby and she used to laugh at the way you scrunched your nose just before you cried. Or maybe that one time Simon was blasting music the loudest the speaker could handle, it had a few curses and swear words here and there but his baby girl wouldn't pick up on it. He doubts she's even listening to daddy’s ‘bad’ music taste, so he's in the safe zone for sure!

Oh boy was he wrong…It was one of those days, you two were sharing chores—with you washing the dishes while he vacuumed around the house and hummed along to the song playing. While D/N was happily stacking her ABC blocks, she was silently listening to the song her daddy was playing. Even mumbling some of the parts since her daddy keeps putting this certain song on repeat. “Kiddo, that's no way to speak to your mum.” He lectures gently, taking her feelings into consideration. “Mama told you she’ll help you after, right? It's bad to call her names, mama sacrificed a lot for you.”

"But-” “No buts, kiddo. Your mum didn't spend 7 hours pushing you out and I didn't have to watch her scream out in pain like a demon just for you to curse at her.” Simon hoped he wasn't too harsh with his child, knowing they're tiny hearts are pretty fragile at this age. But he wasn't going to let it just slide, he watched his baby girl approach her mother and apologize. A smile gracing his face when he sees you forgive her and place a delicate kiss on her chubby cheek, he goes up to you once he sees the child take off to play in the living room.

“I think we should start considering the swear jar now.” You comment, placing a hand on your hip. “Definitely.”

oh baby it wouldn’t be easy. he’d be absolutely broken up about ending things with you- it would most likely be due to his work with the Boys and wanting to keep you safe. he would want to sit you down and explain to you why he is ending things. he still cares so so deeply about you and would want to stay in touch, but it would be painful for the both of you to be apart.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

butcher would take a long ass time. considering his line of work it would put a stop in any form of marriage. however, once his supe business is finished he is all in for marrying you.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

i know he has a rough demeanour, but butcher is absolutely gentle with his lover. emotionally he does need to work on however since what happened with Becca but that will grow over time as your relationship progresses.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

hugs is butchers middle name, he constantly has his arms around you. he is a big strong man, his arms will crush you in the best way and encapsulate your frame resulting in the most comforting and safe hug you would ever experience. he is obsessed with giving you hugs from behind as well.

he takes a while to say i love you, but he knows he is deeply in love with you and shows it to you in different ways before verbalising it.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

it isn’t easy to make ol’ billy jealous, HOWEVER… when he does he will show it. for example, if someone was flirting with you, he’d seeing red and making sure this person knew you were his and to get out of your face.

his kisses are sweet and passionate. his favourite places to kiss you are your lips, cheeks, forehead and the top of your head. he loooves when you kiss his lips, his nose and his neck.
