Okay, while I'm starting another request soon, I am also going to see the Mario movie soon which means I wanna do a little headcanon thing for the boys and how THEY'RE going to see the Mario movie:
Osomatsu is dressed up as the titular character of course! He can relate, so why wouldn't he? So in his red shirt and overalls he's ready to watch (with almost childlike glee) a movie on a series he grew up playing. He's also hoping he'll see a cutie dressed as Princess Peach.
Karamatsu is definitely going to give himself the Bowser closet cosplay. He adorns his wrists with some spiked cuffs and finds a set of horns that are similar so he can try and give off the same vibe as the big baddie. He too is hoping to see a cutie dressed as Princess Peach.
Choromatsu was unfortunately forced to dress as Luigi by Osomatsu lol. At first he hated the idea because Luigi does have a tendency to be on the more cowardly side and Choromatsu didn't take well to that implication, but it was either that or Osomatsu would force him into a Toad costume instead so he relented. Besides, Luigi's a hero too!
Ichimatsu simply just buys a shy guy mask and goes. It was easy to do and that way people probably won't talk to him.
Jyushimatsu somehow has a tanuki mario suit? None of the other brothers know where he got it from and he 100% is able to float around with it on.
Todomatsu is another one with the closet cosplay: but he, of course, went for the princess peach look! A yellow beanie, a soft, long pink cardigan and a blue necklace to complete the look, he finds that he's the best looking one there out of all the brothers.

Hello everyone since I have become obsessed with the Mariolore TikTok series created by DinoBunny Cosplay I decided to make a post about the AU I made for it.
Basically my AU is called "Legacy of a Royal Family" and it involves my self insert/OC Dove becoming Queen of the Mushroom Kingdom after she catches King Boo's attention at the same ball that Peach meets Bowser at. Dove does absolutely nothing at the ball except admire the castle instead of trying to flirt with the King like all the other single women. (DISCLAIMER: This AU is purely made for entertainment purposes and is not canon to the Mariolore series itself)
Here is Dove's design for her regular self as a maiden and her Queen design. (Note: Dove is 37 years old meaning she is 3 years younger than King Boo-)
Tumblr media
And here's King Boo asking Dove for a dance in this next drawing :3 (She does say yes to the dance-)
Tumblr media
Eventually they end up courting much to the shock of everyone for a few months before they get married, and it was this very drawing that I got to recreate that one meme-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'll be making a part 2 to this post showcasing Boo and Dove's 2 kiddies along with some more stuff relating to my AU so feel free to stay tuned :3

Bowser Jr. is the only child of Bowser with an unknown mother in the Super Mario series. Though he is not confused with the infant form of Koopa Troopa or his father’s Baby Bowser. To recreate Bowser Jr. outfit you need a  yellow body suit and yellow Bowser feet; though you’ll want to seal the feet with a waterproof spray before wearing them to a convention. Black cuffs adorn either wrist which are easy to get in a variety of sizes. Collect all the accessories of Bowser Jr. costume from Super Mario for Halloween and cosplay.

Masamune: 4/10. Kinda neat but nothing special
Mei-Mei: 4/10. It’s a nice dress but nothing standout

Selen: 5/10. Nothing special, except the top which while unique for the series, isn’t that standout

Brazilian DJ: 7/10. I like the barely-a-crop-top
American DJ: 9/10. I’m 90% convinced he’s a direct descendant of Uncle Sam. I love the starts and stripes and the top hat
Coach Steel: 2/10. He’s almost a background character
Young Zeo: 2/10. Background character look
Zeo: 8/10. I love the armor that serves no purpose other than to look cool
Young Toby: 2/10. He looks like a background character
Toby: 5/10. Is it just me or does he look like Face Hunter E with that jacket?
Damian: 8/10. The only thing I don’t like is the hair
Jack: 9/10. I love everything about his fit
Dr. Ziggurat: 5/10. The glasses alone are an easy 8, but the rest of the suit brings it down
Faust: 8/10. His whole design just embodies power. It evokes a sense of might
Takeru: 5/10. I like parts of his design, but it has too much going on at once
Kakeru: 4/10. Pretty normal but I do like the green flame pattern. I know he’s only in the manga but I thought he was notable enough to include
Agito: 8/10. I don’t know what’s on his back but I love it
Dino Agito: 8/10. He kinda looks like Bowser
Pharaoh: 7/10. I love the gold and the swords
Tumblr media
Blader Ken: 8/10. I love the camo bandana (I also couldn’t find any images of him online so I couldn’t link them, forcing me to take a screenshot and put it in the actual post. Thankfully that’s 1 character only and not the 20+ each season usually has)
Helios: 5/10. I like his overall look, but nothing particularly stands out
Bakin: 6/10. I like the trident design

Mice Playing Nintendo Games HCs
Cause I don’t feel like actually working on fanfic at the moment and it’s been a while since I did a HC set.
1. Pinky expands his videos into the let’s play category and does a lot of Nintendo games. The scientists actually splurged for a Nintendo Switch in addition to an older game system. The switch joycons are the easiest controllers to handle for long periods of time for both of them since they’re small.
2. Brain gets roped into the videos, especially for multiplayer games like the Mario spinoffs. He doesn’t want to admit it, but he got super into competitive Pokemon and Smash Bros and can rattle off stats like he completely memorized who the best ones are. He also plans to use this knowledge to enter a competitive tournament and take over the world.
3. Pinky doesn’t really understand competitive, but he’s happy Brain seems to be having fun alongside him.
4. In Mario Kart, Pinky tends to go for light and medium weight characters, with a preference for Yoshi and Mario (cause he’s friend-shaped! Narf!). He tends to vary who he plays as. Brain usually picks Bowser every time, but sometimes he’ll play as Rosalina too (thinks she’s the best out of the three Mario princesses).
5. Brain sunk more hours than he’s willing to admit while playing Animal Crossing. It’s a good stress reliever.
6. They spend a long time trying to name Pokemon.
7. For one playthrough on his channel, Pinky decided to have Brain play through Pokemon Emerald (how kind of one of the scientists to leave behind a copy!) as a way to introduce him to the series. The results were a huge hit: mostly because Brain yelled at the screen whenever Team Aqua and Magma showed up because he found their plan to be utterly stupid. If you want to cause an endless downpour or drought, fine, but go back to elementary school to pass science class first.
8. They cosplayed as inklings during a plan that took place at Animefest, but the cosplayers mistook them for sushi and tried to eat them.

Things Asuka Does That I Also Do/Have Done
I’m an Asuka kinnie so I’d know this and can confirm that it’s all canon
Tumblr media
Her Starbucks order is a caramel macchiato.
She has really weird snacking habits; like, goes to the fridge at 2am to get a slice of cheese, approximately 7 chocolate chips, and some Doritos.
Absolutely fucking FLAMES people for the most random shit. You better not wear your shoes untied within a 10 mile radius of Asuka.
She once did soccer as a child, but was taken out because she wouldn’t do SHIT on the field.
Walks infuriatingly fast.
Asuka’s Mario Kart main is bowser, and her smash main changes but it’s any big character rlly (my Mario kart main is king boo but bowser is my second choice and is more fitting for her).
Her source of confidence as a child was that she read the entire Hunger Games series in 3rd grade and got second place in the spelling bee once.
Was a Justice girl (as in she wore the brand Justice frequently as a child).
Had a phase in middle school where she was super into track and field, but dropped it when she realized how much work she had to put into being on a team.
Does absolutely nothing for her period cramps, despite having some pretty nasty ones at times
Occasionally sleeps a little past her alarm, but gets ready so quickly that she’s not even late for school. I’m talking 5 minutes MAX.
Is a hazard to sleep next to. She can and WILL bruise you in your sleep.
Gets really warm at night and always has at least one fan on, despite the season.
Bit the dentist as a child and is now infamous at her orthodontist’s office
You will not catch Asuka slipping on her night routine. If she falls asleep early, she’ll get back up and do the whole damn thing. Hygiene is KEY.
If you’re on vacation with Asuka and you forget a charger, that’s your loss. There’s no way she’s sharing with you. If you manage to steal hers at night, she’ll wake tf up and plug her phone in.
She’s a picky eater, but she’ll also roast the people who eat the things she doesn’t like (i.e. olives and red peppers)
Forgets her inside voice in restaurants far too often
Had a Filthy Frank phase in middle school ☹️
In the winter (just imagine she grew up with winter), Asuka will wear the bare minimum outside, and then complains when she’s too cold.
“I don’t need a scarf, those are for weak bitches.” “Asuka, you’re shivering, you need a scarf” “NO I DON’T THEY’RE UGLY”
I’m not sure if she had an emo phase, but I will argue for LENGTHS that Asuka had a Coldplay/OneRepublic phase.
If this gets, uh, 50 notes, I will consider posting my Asuka cosplay pictures that I took at Anime Matsuri earlier this month bc why the hell not :)

Unnamed in the original comic, the character was dubbed "Bowsette" by English-speaking fans. A related hashtag quickly trended on Twitter, amassing over 150,000 mentions and fan art shortly after, with some renders giving the character darker skin and/or red hair as a callback to the original Bowser.[2][7] Pornhuband YouPorn each reported a dramatic increase in searches for the character on their websites by 500,000 and 2900%, respectively,[8] and by the end of 2018 was the 9th most searched term on the site with 34.6 million searches.[9] The character also trended among Japanese Twitter users under the name Koopa-hime (transl. "Princess Koopa"), with several major Japanese artists contributing their own art of the character.[10]These artists included Street Fighter and Darkstalkers character designer Akira Yasuda, One-Punch Man manga artist Yusuke Murata, Pop Team Epic series creator Bkub Okawa and Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid series creator Coolkyoushinja.[11][12] An event dedicated to the character titled "Project Crown" was also planned for 27 October, featuring fan art and crossdressing cosplay.[13] In 2018, pornographic production company Wood Rocket produced a porn parody titled "Wetter Than A Water Level: The Bowsette Porn Parody" based on the meme with April O'Neilas Bowsette and Tommy Pistol as Mario.[14][15]

Since you want to talk about people from outside Touhou, how do you feel about Princess Peach from the Mario series?
Peachie!
A ship I have with said character:
Mario/Peach is always the most solid one. Peach/Daisy is cute too!
A BROTP I have with said character:
Peach/Daisy are BFF NO questions about it
A NOTP I have with said character:
I don’t have any
A random headcanon:
I like she enjoys VERY retro stuff from the Outside World (i mean, “new donk city” i guess???? idk how mario world works anymore. is brooklyn still canon????). Like, retro i’m talking about movies from the 40s-50s. It’s funny.
General Opinion over said character:
She’s iconic and excellent and i wish, like Zelda, that people stopped giving her flak bc she’s a damsel in distress. She’s a character with good agency and solid action for her and while i wish she did more stuff outside being kidnapped by bowser it always gives a reason to have wholesome moments between her and mario at the end
i have two wishes about her
1. I wanna cosplay her
2. i want a NEW super princess peach game

A friend of mine was trying to get a Sonic series cosplay group organized and was asking if anyone wanted to join in. I jokingly said I could do Big the Cat because of my experience with Snorlax. Everyone in the conversation got excited and said I should do it so I asked my fans if they'd like it and they also were excited. I even had John St. John interested (voice of Big the Cat). So how could I say no? This suit was made roughly the same way my Snorlax was made, with a pattern I made and scaled up, then applied and cut out of EVA foam, and wrapped in fur, groomed to perfection. At the con, everyone was astounded, Big was living up to his name...being big! I unfortunately was fatigued a little too quickly, and didn't get to be out very long. Cosplay has really made me excited and satisfied to make such awesome creations and to effect peoples lives in a such a positive way. It feels so fulfilling to go to a Con and see and hear all the people enjoying themselves. Big the Cat IS FOR SALE, preferably to those near DC/MD/VA because shipping that big boy costs a lot, but I can ship if you really want it. If you're interested feel free to message me on Instagram(@Qwar_Zach), or Facebook(Black Meadow Studio). Also, though I don't want to give any exacts, I do have plans to make Bowser in his white suit from Mario Odyssey in the near future, so look out for that! ---- https://www.instagram.com/qwar_zach/ Photo : https://www.instagram.com/thegamergirl93/

Favorite Villains - King K. Rool (Donkey Kong Country)
Tumblr media
Even if Mario has far and away taken the status of the icon of Nintendo and perhaps even the medium of video games themselves, it’s hard to say if the real ice breaker was him or his ape adversary, Donkey Kong. The original Bowser in some ways, as simple as the dynamic was, I love how the mythos of Mario and Donkey Kong has weaved and molded in so many ways, weird as that sounds. This shift would really start with the inception of Rare’s Donkey Kong Country series, where the titular gorilla would take the starring role against his own nemesis; King K. Rool. Donkey Kong Country is quick to establish that the Donkey Kong we see isn’t the Donkey Kong that fought Mario in ye olde arcades. Though it’s sort of contested and confused among fans in an unclear manner, it’s widely accepted that the adversarious DK was the current DK’s grandfather, who has settled down as Cranky Kong. Just this little bit of myth goes a long way in selling the Kongo Islands as a whole new corner of the Mario universe, enough so that it’s easy forget they share a sun and moon, especially when there’s a villain as deadly as K. Rool to terrorize his own personal corner.
K. Rool’s plots aren’t overly elaborate; the conflict begins when Donkey Kong finds that all of his bananas have been stolen and he knows precisely who is to blame. As beyond one dimensional as this seems, there’s canon documentation that K. Rool has done this for the express purpose of damning the Kongs to starve. As vile as that is to pushing cartoony, I almost buy that a privileged monarch would just commit something so beyond cruel out of sheer spite, and I think that’s what drives K. Rool to be such an endearingly horrible bad guy. K. Rool pretty easily resembles just a Bowser lite in many degrees, a reptilian king with a penchant for entitlement and greed. I think it’s kind of cute that Donkey Kong Jr. (for all intents and purposes) has the very same sort of enemy that his once enemy Mario did. Along with that, the aesthetic similarities are about where K. Rool and Bowser end comparison, because while Bowser was all about possessing, K. Rool wants to destroy. The King of the Kremlings wants nothing to do with a princess or treasure (he even hates the taste of bananas), he’s fueled by pure spite, enough so that he’s built a massive laser capable of destroying the entire Kongo Isle.
And, yeah, applying this kind of allegory is pretty silly to apply to an anthropomorphic Nintendo character, but I think there’s absolutely something to be said about a gold jewelry clad king perched in a much nicer island and looking down upon an entire species he deems flea bitten and less worthy. Hell, at least Bowser is an equal opportunity employer with all kinds of Mushroom Kingdom monsters in his ranks, K. Rool seems to exclusively employ his reptilian Kremling people. What’s also rather fun about K. Rool is that he loves to reinvent and adapt himself, seemingly on his own whims for the fun of it. He’s straightforward King K. Rool in his first appearance, but in Country 2 he dons a pirate’s cap as Kaptain K. Rool, before wrapping himself in a lab coat to become Baron K. Roolenstein in Country 3. Donkey Kong 64 sees him fight the Kongs in the persona of a boxing glove toting prize fighter, Krusha K. Rool. Not only does it add a sort of neat cosplay element and variety to his character, it kinda speaks to his sense of entitlement. He’ll do what he wants to regardless of his circumstances, if he wants to be a pirate or a mad scientist, he’ll be one that day, damn it. No matter how good he actually is at whatever odd persona he wants to do about then he’s driven enough by the novelty to go about it.
What really kick started my newfound love for K. Rool though was his recent revival in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. Such a glimpse may seem minor, but his reveal was so masterful and one of my favorite surprises I’ve seen in the lead up to a video game in a long while. We see Donkey Kong and Diddy watching a montage of the other Nintendo heroes with their respective villains while the Kongs look on wistfully, bored. K. Rool (after tearing through a fraudulent King Dedede) bursts in and the apes are indescribably shocked--I like to think this is an intentional nod to the decade long retirement K. Rool has recently experienced. Such a classic villain finally tears into Smash and not even his respective foes fully believe it. In reverse, if we peer at the Donkey Kong Country cartoon--which is terrible as an adaption of the charm of the video games but just hilarious as a nonsensical romp to shake your head at on an off day, even that had a pretty decent K. Rool. He isn’t as physically intimidating as he could be, but he’s about as greedy, fickle, and over the top as you’d really want. His voice actor, Benedict Campbell created a really fitting, sinister voice that sells every (often terrible) line he’s given.
Plus, K. Rool has more or less stepped up his game with his every appearence. After he was beaten by the duo of DK and Diddy, he actually suceeded in imprisoning Donkey Kong and forcing Diddy to go out with a new Kong, Dixie. After losing to them he kidnaps Diddy which makes Dixie pick up Kiddy Kong for help. He has a very divide and conquer approach, leading to him managing to lock up four of the five core Kong family members in DK64. This reptilian monarch is a fun platformer villain with gadgets and malice galore. What more could you ask for? Perhaps a theme song that totally SLAPS!

As one of the best-selling consoles of all time, the Nintendo DS had a wide variety of games in its library. With the new features the DS brought to video games including the touch screen, the built-in mic, and the local Wi-Fi connection, DS games were able to try new things other games were still unable to do.
RELATED: 10 Ways To Get Started On Your Island In Animal Crossing New Horizons
Because of these innovations, many DS games like The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass still holds up to this day. Since these games were ahead of their time, players have a plethora of challenging and fun games to play that rival anything produced for the current generation of consoles.
10 Animal Crossing: Wild World
Tumblr media
Animal Crossing: Wild World is part of the social simulation game series Animal Crossing that has the player control a customizable human who has just moved into a new village populated by anthropomorphic animals. Since the games are open-ended, players can choose how they spend their time, which includes collecting items and talking to the other villagers.
This game is significant because it introduced many gameplay features that would become mainstays of the series. For example, instead of the top-down perspective of the first game, this game has the sideways view that later games would continue to use. Also, the game introduced online play, which has remained a big part of the series.
9 Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
Tumblr media
Taking place seven years after the third main Ace Attorney game, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney is a visual novel adventure game where the player as a lawyer must solve mysteries to prove their client’s innocence. Apollo Justice is a rookie defense attorney who ends up working with the memorable main character of the previous Ace Attorney trilogy, Phoenix Wright, and his daughter, Trucy, to solve the old murder case that led to Phoenix’s disbarment.
Along with the regular cross-examining in the courtroom and the investigation sequences outside of it, this game also introduces some new ideas to the series. Since Apollo does not have Phoenix’s magatama, he instead has a bracelet that allows him to see small movements people make that give away their lies. With the wide cast of intriguing characters and a darker storyline, this fourth Ace Attorney game is absolutely worth a playthrough.
8 New Super Mario Bros.
Tumblr media
A discussion about the best DS games is not complete without the number one best-selling DS game: New Super Mario Bros. In this 2.5D platformer, the player controls either the titular character Mario or his brother Luigi as they navigate through various worlds to save Princess Peach from Bowser and Bowser Jr.
As one of the best-selling video games of all time, it is no surprise that this game is hard to put down. The combination of simple gameplay with the variety of worlds to explore makes the game enjoyable and addicting. New power-ups such as Blue Koopa Shell added a new element to the gameplay. Also, movements from 3D Mario games, like the wall jump, were also added to enrich the experience.
7 Dragon Quest IX
Tumblr media
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies is an RPG released in 2009 that follows an entirely customizable main character who is part of an angelic race that lives in the sky called “Celestrians.” A catastrophic event occurs that sends the Celestrians plummeting to the mortal world, and the main character must find a way back to their former state while gathering lost fruits from the world tree.
RELATED: 10 Best Classic JRPGs Available On Switch
Along with the higher difficulty, this Dragon Quest game introduces many new gameplay features that make it worth playing. While keeping the traditional role-playing mechanics and interesting storytelling of previous entries, Dragon Quest IX introduces multiplayer functionality, plenty of customization options, and spawning enemies.
6 Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
Tumblr media
Created by Shu Takumi, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is a 2010 adventure puzzle game that follows an amnesiac ghost named Sissel who has recently died. While traveling with a female detective named Lynne, Sissel uses his new spectral powers to perform “ghost tricks” in order to save lives and try to recover his memories before dawn arrives
Over the course of the game, the player will possess corpses in order to travel back in time to four minutes before the person’s death. During this period, the player can manipulate objects in order to affect what is happening and change the future. This creates an intriguing gameplay loop that will keep the player hooked from beginning to end.
5 Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor
Tumblr media
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor is a tactical RPG where a 17-year-old male protagonist and his friends witness an outbreak of demons in modern-day Tokyo. During seven days, the protagonist, who gains the ability to see how long a person has left to live, must try to save as many people as possible.
Similar to other SMT games, the player can recruit demons as allies to fight other demons. In addition, gamers can see the enemies and must move the teams of characters strategically across the map to fight enemies in single turns, which is similar to games like Fire Emblem. With all the possible unique endings, the player will want to replay the game several times to fully enjoy what the game has to offer.
4 The World Ends With You
Tumblr media
Produced by Tetsuya Nomura who also developed the Kingdom Hearts series, The World Ends With You is an action RPG that takes place in modern-day Shibuya and follows an amnesiac teenager named Neku Sakuraba who has recently died. With the help of several different companions, Neku must complete the week-long Reapers’ Game in order to have a second chance at life and not be erased.

3 The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is an award-winning action-adventure game and a direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker on the GameCube. The game follows Link as he travels between various islands using the ship S.S. Linebeck in order to save his friend Tetra from a life-eating monster named Bellum.
While the game contains the dungeon exploration and item hunting of previous Zelda games, this game is unique because it also has a large central dungeon, The Temple of the Ocean King, that the player must return to throughout the story. With the help of the Phantom Hourglass and other items, the player must use stealth to avoid the Phantoms in the temple. The game’s innovative gameplay and engaging storyline make it the best Legend of Zelda title to get a remaster for the Switch.
2 Sonic Rush

Before his departure from Sega, the father of Sonic, Yuji Naka, produced one more mainline Sonic game that many fans consider to be one of the best. Sonic Rush is a 2.5D platformer where the player can control either Sonic or a new character Blaze the Cat. These two characters work together to stop Dr. Eggman and his counterpart, Dr. Eggman Nega, from Blaze’s alternate universe.
Both characters show their own side of the story, have their own specific order of levels, and have their own special abilities. The game’s smooth gameplay, beautiful level designs, and introduction of Blaze make Sonic Rush one of the best Sonic the Hedgehog video games.
1 Pokémon: Black & White

As the second generation of Pokémon on the DS, Pokémon: Black & White consists of two RPG games where the player controls a teenager who travels across the Unova region in order to catch Pokémon, battle against other trainers, and defeat Team Plasma. The game focuses on the balance between humans and Pokémon.
Created shortly after Pokémon: Diamond & Pearl, this game has updated graphics and animations compared to its predecessors. With the game’s large amount of new characters and the darker storyline compared to other Pokémon games, it is no surprise that Pokémon: Black & White has remained a favorite that fans of the franchise continually revisit.
