On this day, 35 years ago, They Might Be Giants released their third studio album, as well as their first album under a major music label, Flood.
In honor of this, here is an old performance of the famous song "Birdhouse in Your Soul", which is notable for not only being one of the only performances of the song in its original key, but just so happens to contain the same backing track that we used for the song during our TMBG-style concert back in September.

1982 - Bebe Buell performing at The Bottom Line.
Photo 1) By Chuck Pulin.
Photos 3 & 5) Bebe's website and/or social media (saved long ago). I actually think the others are from her website too.

people need to accept that style and stendy are both flawed. no ship is better than the other. they both have their flaws. style shippers saying ‘BuT wEnDy Is AbOoSivE 2 StAhN!!!!1!1!1!1!!” without realizing that Stan is just as toxic and would be just as if not worse if he was with Kyle. similar thing with Stendy shippers saying “BaHt DtAn Is A BaD pEwSoN!!1!1!!1!” like…literally neither of these ships would work out. stan is flawed. Wendy is flawed. Kyle is flawed. Logically these ships wouldn’t work out. They’d tear each other apart.
don’t get me started on stendyle…

if someone's morally or naturally opposed to violence I don't think it's cool for them to be using punk culture as an aesthetic

Speaking of Kylesa and this record, this has to be one of my favourite Kylesa songs of all time.

Reed oscillò tra serietà e stand-up comedy. Nell’introduzione a «Heroin» osservò: «Mi piace questa canzone, ha soltanto due accordi. Si dovrebbe essere in grado di scrivere un’ottima canzone con un solo accordo. Due sono davvero troppi. Con tre, è jazz»
