Took me about 60 hours which is CRAZY,, I call this one The Quark Family when I’m talking about it (which seems apt) and I’ve literally crammed so many references and details and hours into this my life feels so empty without it. Tumblr is butchering the image quality but that’s just what it is ig,,, I’ve tried and I can’t seem to fix it

I feel like there is something to be said about how Rat and Lux chose their final stand against Blake. Making themselves look less like people by submerging themselves in ink, letting themselves die and be reborn into something deviating away from how players would usually fight and be something inhuman.

Monsters so to speak.

And how it is when they fight and lurk beneath the ink, the world looks just as dark to allow them to fit into it, like doomsday and that something is ending. So only when finally one of them lays dead and the other unable to continue that the rains stops and the color comes back. And the one remaining becomes something more recognizable in his defeat and more human as he feels something achingly terrible for the first time since the world started.

I know there is the whole unreliable narrator thing and depending on which side you see it from, you get different mileage on each character. But just there is something so fascinating how the fight is. In how Lux and Rat, the two that have changed so much together, had started this fight with the shared intent to make things right so they can finally leave it behind them and made themselves look so alien and different in the process. While Blake and Nox, two that were never even on the same side, and who both were too unrelenting in what they want to ever stray from their own desires, had remained as they were and drew the same weapons they fought with all this time (albeit it a few enchantment changes and all that) to face this fight in front of them.

I don't think I have quite the right words to form a good and meaningful conclusion, but like the tonal and thematic dissonance goes crazy (in a good way).

ur so right ur so right like he's such an absolute sweetheart in every universe but as a uni student good God. I need uni Lighter in my life. like he'd be the slightly intimidating campus crush at first, true oomf material, but then u get paired in a project w him or talk to him at some party or find out you have friends in common and suddenly you're friends and figuring out he's actually so nice, just genuine and thoughtful and funny and kind, and it's kinda hard to not fall in love with him a little bit.

and ughhhh daily uni life with him would be so fun. getting groceries together, study dates at a café, movie marathons and late-night walks and stressing over deadlines and sharing gossip, like it'd all just be so Perfect with him. he's always up for shenanigans, he'll go to the random events like pottery painting and house plant sales that your uni organises with you every time just to keep you company because he knows you don't like going to them alone. ideal man.

completely obsessed with this chapter of her life. I have so many questions. Like did she buy three plates? Why would she need more than one plate? Did she have company? Why is her door a curtain? Does that mean there's more to her hovel than just this room? Is it a shared space with like a communal toilet and kitchen? Maybe that's where the plates came from. I offer anyone who wants to, to add proper vertex paint to the lamp item. My vertex paintbrush in Blender doesn't work the way it is supposed to, no matter what I try. If anyone wants to add the vertex paint I will update the file with the fixed version & credit to the person who added it. Without this paint on the mesh, the whole item illuminates strangely when turned on, so turning the brightness down can remedy that issue until it is fixed. I am also working on figuring out why I'm having this issue in Blender.
