" LIFE isn't fair. I wouldn't expect it to be any more fair in these lands, hence my omission of acknowledgement. Some people do everything right and still face tragedies and injustices. " It's a comment that earns a rather somber moment from the executive as she gently places her cup back upon the saucer. SHE KNOWS IT ALL TO WELL. Too many attacked or dead people who did everything right, yet life cared not. Much like the ocean who cares little for those who travel her back. It's simply a grim fact of their reality. It is better to expect it here too than not.
Ann still manages a wry smile at the mention of unfavorable odds. " Rather fitting for a world revolving around cards, no? " She offers up. " Like visiting a casino, where the ODDS always favor the house. " In this case, there's a multitude of reasons. Those who arrive here not only have to survive death games, but also adapt to a world that is different than what many of them have experienced. Few have gone without the luxury of electricity and running water for long periods of time. " Yet, life has a way. Whether its humans or nature, life often finds a way to persevere in the face of extreme odds. " IT'S ADMIRABLE. Whether it is a weed, a butterfly, or a person. Life finds a way.
The reason, at least for people, may vary. From NOBLE CAUSES to spite, they push forward all the same.
Is that what she means? Ann looks to Alice for a moment. Just like the games, she does not rush in to conversation blindly. She takes time to consider her words. " It is certainly something we should CONSIDER, both in regards to ourselves and in regards to others. " Ann confirms after a moment. " It is true that there are those here who relish a sense of superiority or inflicting pain on others. But there are also those who still yearn to help others, or take no pleasure but wish to avoid incurring wrath. " Right or not, she understands. It's like those who WITNESS a crime and keep quiet for one reason or another. " It is not the knife that destroys peace. It can just as easily protect as it can harm. Rather it's about the wielder. "
" FOR BETTER OR WORSE, I wonder . . . " Ann doesn't disagree. Knowledge is invaluable. She prizes it above most others. But it can both hurt and help just like any other tool. " I AM curious about this world, I confess as much. But perhaps not as muc as some. Too much can blind you. " She shrugs gracefully, her back resting against the plush chair. " Did I do what before? " Certainly never experienced this world before, although there's SOME she sometimes wonders if they have. But if it is her logic, her look at life and people, that would be closer to a yes.
the borderlands! they ought to be wilder, she sees the way some people devolve. but not all. some cling to a sense of familiarity, whilst others seemed to thrive among the chaos. wild dogs, snapping at heels, looking to bully others into their conceived rightful place. what a mess it serves. ann seems to be above that all, chosen not because she was meant to be STRONG, but because she was so awfully smart. a clever weapon, in a game that demanded so much more than brute strength. alice is watching! waiting, knowing there's something brilliant about to unfold.
and hey now, who wants to MISS THE SHOW!
"you make it all sound so terribly transactional. but the truth is, you could pay the fare, and still die at the hand off. that's not quite fair, now, is it? then again. the odds were never truly in our favour to begin with." it's a game! a grand, terrible game that they were caught within, and no amount of PROBLEM SOLVING would remove them out of this within the frames of their usual understanding! so it was time, wasn't it? to move beyond that - to embrace the insane, the unlikely, the conspiratorial. out here, all of it could be all too real.
they talk about the idea of denial, for more then the fact of a river in a place they might never see again. they exist in a space between what feels real, and strange, and within it so comes too the chaotic nature of all that they NO LONGER KNOW nor hold to. peeking to her, but ann, oh how infinitely wise she was, to know how fragile the peace was that those here were bound to. perking up, she's not so strange a person to hide herself, by much, was she? heart upon the sleeve, wishes made clear - she simply wanted to go home. leaning in, she smiled, so left, and so right, yanking at the wheel almost in proverbial distraction. "then what you mean to say is that we've our baser instincts to think about. fear. revulsion. cowardice. mania. there's so many here that get off on the pain of others! strength becomes a knife becomes the destruction of peace. or is it simply the other side of a mirror to remind us of civility? even that's simply a thin attempt at fraud, isn't it~?"
she laughs, even if nothing about the matter was that humorous to begin with. but in a VERY REAL WAY, this all thrilled her, what a mystery to be solved, a truth meant to be uncovered! "i think what will change the course of things is knowledge - i'm trying to remain a little bit curious about everything. aren't you?" isn't that why they were here, for them to use what she knew to find more and more and more and more until there was nothing left to hide! what instinct was this? a finger tracing along a table top, hopping upon it as she handed things that were needed along, forever patient, it seemed. "did you do this? before~ i mean."

‧₊˚✩ chishiya, arisu, and kuina's habits they get from dating you
warnings: ooc chishiya, mentions of blood, not exactly canon divergent but i kinda expanded on canon (??), kuina's mom being sick
a/n: most of these probably should've been full fics but i want to write more reactions so here we are
gn reader (no pronouns used)
requests open !! read my rules first
‧₊˚✩ chishiya
word count 411 jack of hearts chishiya >>>
playing with your hands
you pull the chair back, sliding into the seat next to chishiya. he’s sure to sit between you and niragi, leaning back in the seat. arisu stands awkwardly at the edge of the room. his gaze remains focused on the only person he’s seen before - chishiya.
chishiya raises his hand, waving at him similarly to the way he did in ‘tag.’ ann, mira, and kuzuryu sit on the other side of the table. aguni shifts across from kuzuryu, leaning back in his chair and folding his arms over his chest. finally, hatter stands at the head of the table. he dramatically raises his arms.
“welcome beach executives,” he bellows before glancing over at arisu. “and potential executive.” he sighs, pushing his hair back and sitting down in the chair. “we are here to debate whether or not a new executive should be instated.”
next to you, chishiya subtly pulls his left hand from his pocket, reaching over to grab yours. it’s not an uncommon reaction, especially since you’ve become more comfortable in your relationship. he almost does it unconsciously as he casually intertwines your fingers together before stuffing your hands back into his pocket.
the meeting drones on around you. their voices all blend together as you impatiently wait for the meeting to conclude. after a few minutes of arguing, hatter stands once again. “it’s decided. arisu will be tested, and if he passes, the beach will gain a new executive. this meeting is concluded.” he walks to the door before glancing over his shoulder. “arisu, i’d like to speak to you more. do join me.”
you ignore arisu’s nervous look as you follow chishiya out of the room. both of you slip through the various different passageways further into the beach. he leads you to his makeshift workshop, only letting go of your hand to begin working on yet another kerosene bomb.
you lean back against the table as you watch him tinker away. once complete, he slowly feeds the mess of wires into the metal soda can. he passes it to you, hands holding yours for a second longer than necessary. you smile, setting it aside on the table. “you always do that.”
chishiya raises an eyebrow. “do what?”
hold my hand.” he doesn’t react, instead looking away as he glances for another can. but the light flush on his ears is enough confirmation for you. he’s always searching for you, even when you’re standing right next to him.
always thinking of you
word count 456
the rest of the players crowd around into groups, forming little cliques. they nervously glance around at the other players when they aren’t taking turns turning around and exposing their symbol, relying on the trust of the group to be truthful.
you observe them from your place at a table in the cafeteria, silently watching. this is nothing new for chishiya - picking up on the little details about people is how he’s been able to survive in the borderland for so long. but as the games become increasingly difficult and your situation becomes more dire, you find yourself replicating his mannerisms.
chishiya glances over his shoulder at you momentarily before refocusing on the wall of snacks before him. it’s all junk food, but junk is better than nothing. you probably won’t be able to eat much while trying to complete the rest of the games and avoiding the king of spades, he reasons.
a woman stands at the edge of the shelves, watching him. he reaches out to grab a packet of cookies, opening the bag and taking a bite of one. he glances over at her before nonchalantly raising the packet. “you should try them,” he says. “they’re the best ones.” the woman doesn’t respond. instead, she simply slips back behind the shelf to where her group is.
despite chishiya’s insistence about his personal choice being the best cookies, he pauses when something catches his eye. this bag is a deep blue. it’s wrapped in plastic instead of the paper he holds against his chest. they’re vanilla. from the look alone he can tell that he won’t enjoy the artificial sweetness, but something makes him take a packet before he goes to find you. they’re your favorite.
chishiya silently sits down next to you, placing his packet of cookies on the seat beside him. you subtly move closer so your shoulders brush, leaning over to see what he picked. “i didn’t take you for the cookie type.”
“it’s good to know i can still surprise you, then.” his initial hesitance of which snack to choose immediately disappears as your face lights up when he slides the blue packet to you.
“i didn’t know they had these!” chishiya is unable to fully suppress his smile, allowing his lips to curl upwards slightly. “thank you.”
“i thought you would like them.”
“you know me so well,” you hum, opening the packet before holding out one for him. “want one?”
chishiya was right when he thought that he wouldn’t enjoy the artificial taste of the vanilla. but when you smile up at him, happily eating another, he realizes he’d be content to eat overly sweet cookies for the rest of his life - as long as it’s with you.
‧₊˚✩ arisu
constantly talking about you (pre-borderland au)
word count 425
“hey, check this out!” chota takes a packet of ramen from the shelf, holding it up. arisu squints, stepping forwards to read the words. the packaging is pink, decorated with a picture of the noodles and… strawberry?
karube reaches out to grab it, reading the words. “strawberry shortcake ramen?” he reads, raising an eyebrow at chota. “seriously?”
“why not?” chota shrugs, returning to look through the various options.
“sure, man,” karube chuckles. “whatever you want.”
arisu smiles, shaking his head. he picks out a bowl of instant ramen, tucking it in between his arm and holding it against his chest to cook later. from the corner of his eye, a different packet catches his eye. it’s spicy - spicier than he would normally eat. but it’s perfect for you. he doesn’t realize the small smile unconsciously spreading across his face as he imagines the scene.
going home to you after a day spent with chota and karube, pulling out the noodles, dancing around the kitchen together as you let them overcook on the stove, you teasing him as he tries to eat them and then has to desperately drink milk to soothe his burning mouth.
he’s brought back to reality when karube places a hand on his shoulder. he leans in with a raised eyebrow, kneeling down to be eye level with him. “are you crazy?” he teases, gesturing to the packet in arisu’s hand. “we all know you can’t eat that.”
“y/n will like it,” he says. he doesn’t notice the shared glance between chota and karube.
“wow, man, you’re whipped.” chota comments.
“seriously, i didn’t think it would get worse than that time he left in the middle of a match because y/n wanted to cuddle,” karube laughs.
arisu purses his lips, unable to deny their teasing. he knows he’s whipped, or a simp, or a dumb lovestruck fool, or whatever else people want to call him - but he doesn’t care. going home to you, kissing under your kitchen lights, falling asleep to a bad sitcom wrapped in your arms, it’s all worth it.
so instead of denying it or putting the ramen back, he lets them joke as he follows them to the register. he pays extra for the second packet before rejoining karube and chota by the window of the convenience store. “hey,” karube leans over to pat his shoulder. “in all seriousness, we’re glad you found someone like y/n. we’re proud of you.”
arisu smiles, refocusing on the bowl of instant ramen in front of him. “thank you.”
trusts you with his life
word count 701 got a little carried away whoops
usagi’s hand stays firmly on the boy’s shoulder, subtly standing in front of him. “don’t worry,” she whispers when she kneels down next to him. “i’ll protect you.” he nods a little before she stands up.
“we need to go,” you whisper. arisu nods, grabbing your hand as you follow usagi through the structure and up the stairs. other players chasing each other echo along the metal. arisu’s grip on your hand remains tight. he’s nervous- you can tell. he glances at you every now and then, pulling you through the different structures.
“queen’s turn ends. player’s turn begins.” the announcement chimes. you pant, leaning back against the metal. arisu never lets go of your hand, leaning down on his knees to catch his breath.
“we need to find the other players,” usagi says. “if we can convince them to help us then we can win this.” you nod, squeezing arisu’s hand. “let’s split up. we’ll find more people that way.”
“meet back here at every round.” arisu says. you note the area, before forcing yourself up, running off in search of the other players.
arisu curses as you follow him up the winding metal structures. it’s a dead end.you look down over the edge, and then over his shoulder. a chain hangs down from somewhere above. “you need to grab onto that chain,” you point. arisu looks at what you’re pointing at before looking back at you.
“are you crazy?”
“look, there’s nowhere else to go!” he seems unconvinced, looking down at the ground below. you reach over to hold his face in your hands, turning him to face you. “do you trust me?”
arisu nods immediately. “of course i do.”
“then i need you to grab onto the chain and swing. i’ll catch you, i promise.” he glances back at the chain before nodding.
“okay.”
the queen catches up to you seconds later, smirking as she pants. “looks like your luck has finally run out.” you push arisu behind you, standing between them.
“i wouldn’t call it luck.” she narrows her eyes at you, stepping closer. “arisu, now!”
he jumps off of the edge of the structure, grabbing onto the chain. you push the queen away, putting distance between yourself and her. you grab arisu when he swings back, helping him down from the chain as you begin running again.
once you’re sure you’ve lost the queen in the maze of her game, you give yourself a few minutes to relax. arisu leans back against the wall, panting. “thank you,” he whispers. you reach over to grab his hand, nodding.
you lean back against the metal railing for support. “this is the final round for the players,” the announcement chimes. “after this round, the game will end.” a man wearing a bike helmet nods at you before running off towards the left. you take his cue to go right, running to the area where you agreed to meet up with arisu and usagi, finding them already there. usagi pats your shoulder as you lean up to look up at arisu.
“there’s only two more players on the queen’s team,” she pants. “we can do this.” you nod, running through in search of any other players. you press the button on a man’s back, sending him to the ground from the shock. “sorry,” you whisper, kneeling down next to him to make sure he’s okay. you lean over the edge of the structure again, reading the scoreboard. 19 players vs. 01 queen. you let out a relieved sigh, making your way over to the area where you first entered the game.
a few other players are already there, standing around and watching the time tick down. the boy rushes over to your side, standing next to you. you place a hand on his shoulder, watching the timer. “it’ll be okay,” you whisper. he nods, eyes glued to the screen.
arisu rushes over to your side, quickly followed by usagi. he immediately pulls you into a quick hug. you wrap your arms around his shoulders, keeping him close to you. “y/n,” he sighs. “i’m glad you’re okay.”
“me too,” you pant. he presses a quick kiss against your temple.
‧₊˚✩ kuina
doing everything for two
kuina sets the pot over the makeshift stove she created, using the fire to heat the water. a box of noodles sits beside her as she waits for it to boil. the store is almost eerily quiet, the flickering overhead lights being the only other source of noise.
word count 532 there are literally NO kuina gifs and it makes me so sad ://
she pulls her knees up to her chest as she waits. when the water becomes uninteresting, she finds herself staring at the picture she took from the wall of her mother’s hospital room. she remembers that day clearly, valuing it as one of the most important moments of her life. she was younger when her mother had first been diagnosed. she nervously clutched the straps of her bag as the nurse guided her to the room, leaving them alone in the room. she remembers how her mother had gasped, eyes welling with tears before she wrapped her into a hug for the first time in years, whispering about how she was a beautiful young woman.
kuina remembers calling you in her car immediately afterwards, happy tears rolling down her cheeks. she remembers the excitement in your voice as she told you the good news and the taste of the noodles you surprised her with when she arrived home. that was the night she fell in love with you.
she sighs, refocusing on the pot of water. it’s boiling now. she slowly pours the noodles in, stirring them around with a pair of wooden chopsticks she found in the hospital’s cafeteria. it’s only once they finish cooking and she fishes them out of the pot that she realizes she has too much food just for herself. she made enough for two. enough for you.
she curses the tears that build in her eyes. the hope of you being alive fades with each day, let alone being able to find you. a noise at the doors of the store startles her. her body stiffens, anxiously peeking behind a shelf to see who’s there.
the breath escapes her lungs when she does. bloodied, dirty, and standing on shaky knees, you stand there. you lean against the wall to catch your breath. kuina clambers to her feet, rushing over to you. “y/n?”
your eyes blink open at the mention of your name. your voice is breathless when you speak. “kuina?”
she runs to you, wrapping you into a hug. you’re quick to reciprocate, hiding your face into her shoulder. “i was so worried about you,” she whispers, pulling away enough to brush the hair out of your face. “how did you find me?”
“i figured you would go to the hospital. when you weren’t there, i thought i would check the grocery store next.” kuina doesn’t notice the tears rolling down her cheeks until your hand brushes one away. “don’t cry, baby, i’m here.”
she smiles through the tears, nodding. “are you hurt?”
you shake your head. “i’m alright.”
kuina traces her hand along your jawline. she can’t wait any longer, pressing her lips against yours in a sweet kiss. you smile when she pulls away. “i made food. it’s your favorite.”
you press another peck against her lips, pulling her a little closer again. “thank you.”
always touching you
“hi,” you smile, lowering your head into a quick bow. they’re quick to reciprocate. “i’m l/n y/n.”
word count 527
“y/n,” kuina smiles, reaching out to grab your hand as you sit down beside her. there are two people sitting on the beach chair across from her. you recognize them as being the beach’s newest recruits.
“usagi yazuha,” the woman smiles. her hair is short, cut into a chin length bob. her forehead bangs frame her face nicely. she’s wearing a peach jacket and black biker shorts.
“arisu ryoehi.” his hair is longer than hers. he’s wearing a white t-shirt and blue swim trunks. they both look uncomfortable surrounded by the frenzy of drunk beach members.
“don’t worry,” kuina chuckles. “we don’t bite. there are drinks pretty much everywhere, and drugs, if you’re into that.”
“which games have you played?” you ask.
they detail how they first met during tag before meeting up again in a club game. kuina grows even closer to you through the course of the night as you laugh and joke around with your newfound friends. her arm interlinks with yours, body leaning into your side.
in the mix of shared drinks and laughter, she eventually ends up on your lap. you wrap your arm around her waist, both to hold her up as she leans against you and to keep her warm. you’re all too familiar of how cold the beach gets during the night, especially when your girlfriend is only wearing a bikini.
the night continues on, party raging around you. usagi had decided to find a room in the hotel once the ocean breeze became less of a slight annoyance and more of an unrelenting wind. the night continues to blur as kuina and arisu continue drinking and joking around together.
“you two are cute together,” arisu’s words slur together as he smiles at you. kuina reciprocates, taking another small sip of her beer.
“so are you two,” she smiles.
“ah, we’re not dating,” he sighs.
“really?” she cocks her head at him. “you should ask her out. she totally likes you!”
arisu nods to himself, contemplating. “maybe i will.”
“babe,” you whisper, running your hand against her side. “it’s getting late. we should head to bed.”
“you’re right,” she hums, finishing off the rest of her beer.
“i should probably get some sleep too.” arisu nods.
“the rooms are all unlocked. just pick one that’s empty. we don’t really keep track of room numbers or anything.” kuina wraps her arm around your shoulder, leaning into your chest.
“thanks,” arisu smiles. “it was nice meeting you guys.”
“you too!” kuina clings to you as you lift her body, carrying her away from the pool and into your shared room. you use your elbow to open the door before setting her body down on the bed. you set a bottle of water on the table beside her and prepare a trash can just in case before sliding underneath the covers beside her. “i love you,” she smiles, moving to lay on your chest. you pull the blanket up over her body, rubbing your hand against her back.
“i love you too.”

word count: 2.15k
a/n: my first request! Thank you,I hope this is what you wanted (hopefully) anyways, requests are still open, check my pinned on my account to see my do’s,don'ts and who i write for! I hope you all have a good morning, daytime, evening, nighttime, loves yas all mwah!
You were a militant for the hatter and you were often seen around the beach with Ann and Niragi but Chishiya had often seen you strutting around with your gun talking to Niragi. See, the thing is that Chishiya despised Niragi especially when he’d be with you, talking and looking you up and down whilst biting and licking his lips like you were some piece of meat for him to ravish.
It was another day after a game at the beach, the swimming, partying, drinking, fucking was happening because you could do anything your heart desired in the borderlands because there was no laws, everything was legal.
You were ‘patrolling’ with Niragi today, your usual attire on your body and Niragi staring at you as you interact with Kuina. Chishiya sat on the bathing chair silently observing you whilst his mind was going crazy.
Chishiya was jealous, he wanted you, no he needed you. Needed you to be his,for him only. He needed to fuck you, show everyone that you belonged to him and you had no idea of the silent jealousy raging through Chishya’s body as you wrap your conversation up with kuina and bid your goodbyes to both of them.
Niragi sniggers as he sees Chishiya’s expression but he surprisingly doesn't say anything as he walks behind you shamelessly looking at your ass as you yap about the game last night and the amount of killing like it was a normalised thing to talk about, which it was now.
Hours go by and you are finishing up your patrol and ready to go and get some food but someone comes up behind you and grabs your waist and pulls you flush to his chest. You look up to see Niragi and it doesn't surprise you,he was always touchy with you,no matter what with the stupid smirk on his face and the gun he insists he carries everywhere.
You roll your eyes ”yes,Niragi?” you sigh and he stays silent, hands still on your waist until you push him off and turn around. ”What now?” you ask in an annoyed tone, looking at him in slight disgust. You grab your gun and head up to your room for the night, weirded out by Niragi as always.
The next day was the same, yapping on to Niragi as Chishiya eyed him with sharp eyes, watching his every move with you. You were yapping on about the meeting you had with the hatter and the rest of the militants and you were telling him how much bullshit the hatter spewed at the meeting.
Niragi stares down at you with his smirk, sticking his tongue out showing off his tongue piercing. You just ignore him and continue to ramble as you walk past Chishiya. He stands up and grabs your arm, tugging it so you stand beside him.
Niragi glares at him but stays silent as you gasp slightly at the tug. ”Excuse-” you were cut off by Chishiya’s hand going over your mouth ”shut up” he whispers in your ear as he walks you to the rooms,he looks pissed. ”Chish-” you try to speak up but instead you get a slight slap to the face. ”i said shut up,listen”
You gulp as you are pushed into his room ”strip” he says nonchalantly as he sits at the end of the bed. You didn't know what to say,you were speechless for once. You went to lift your shirt off and shorts down, then untying your bikini top and pulling the bikini bottoms down.
Now completely bare and open to him, wetness rolls onto your thighs ”c’mere” he points for you to stand in front of him. You follow what he says and stand in front of him ” turn around” you now turn so your ass is facing him and you had a hunch what he was going to do to you. ”spread them, slut” he spits spitefully as you comply.
Chishiya looks at your pussy, wet, almost dripping and tsks. You felt shame on yourself at the degradation and how much it turned you on,especially coming from Chishiya. You feel yourself clench over nothing as the words leave his mouth, his eyes sly and full of lust and determination to tame you from the brat you were.
”Shiya,” you whimper as he runs the tps of his fingers through your slick folds. ”Please” you whine and beg for Chishiya to do something, anything to help you.
His hand suddenly leaves your pussy only to come down with a hard spank. You let out a somewhat strangled moan as you jolt forwards at the impact. You hear your wetness as he spanks your pussy again and again mumbling how much of a brat you were and how you needed to be put back in your place,a little reminder of who you belonged to.
Chishiya kneeled behind you, grabbing your hips and moving you back until your pussy was level with his face ”stay still, sweets, don't go moving and make this worse for you, yeah?” you mumble a response and it only lands you another spank so you answer in proper words ”i promise to stay still,Shiya”
He nods, which you don't see but you feel his breath on your clit you shiver and involuntarily moan softly. His lips find your clit and gives it a harsh suck. He continues his ministrations wanting to get you to your release just to throw you off it,he was only giving you a lesson in obedience after all.
Your chest, now heaving as you feel your release closer and closer every suck, lick and sloppy kiss Chishiya gave your pussy. Your clit, swollen as you cry out, pitch higher and higher as you almost reach your version of heaven. Chishiya pulls away, spanking your arse as he watches your euphoria drift away from you.
You try to protest but his mouth is back on your pussy along with his fingers,2 slipping inside your cunt and moving quickly, curling once in a while to reach the spongy spot and make you moan louder.
You didn’t realise the door of his room was still open for people in the corridor (if there were any) to hear you being treated like a little slut, getting what you deserved.
Niragi walks down to corridor, smirk on his face and gun on his back, he was enjoying his day doing whatever weird shit he does before he stumbles across Chishiya’s room, hearing your moan, whines, whimpers, the wetness of your cunt and Chishiya’s tongue and fingers were ruining you already and you needed to cum.
Niragi stayed outside the door unseen as you were getting close again, clenching around Chishiya’s fingers but he pulled them out again, making your almost 2nd orgasm fizzle away. He removes his mouth and stands up,picking you up and throwing you onto the bed,you bounce slightly and push your hair out of your face, catching a glimpse of Niragi and his pissed face,he scoffs and walks away.
Chishiya removes his zipped jacket and swimming trunks,he jerks his cock a little as you spread your legs. He grabs your ankles pulling you to the edge of the bed. Chishiya grabs a pillow. ”Hips, whore” he snarls as you lift them and he places the comforting pillow under them. Although you were being taught a lesson he still provided comfort for you. He slides it under and lines his tip to your entrance.
You wiggle your hips, which earns you a slap on the thigh. Chishiya slowly pushes into your cunt, welcoming him tightly. He groans and grips your thighs, bending a leg up to your chest for a better angle to hammer your g-spot. He was on a mission to tire you out and prove to you that you were his but also to make you squirt, he wanted to be the only man you'd ever take in your tight slutty pussy.
”Jesus, so tight for me huh? Such a whore, being with Niragi. You wish it was him fucking you now instead on me,hm?” you try and protest by shaking your head and whimper, begging him to believe that it’s him that you wanted to be used by only Chishiya Shuntaro
He slips inside of you, your walls tight as they try to accommodate his cock. You whine and lift your hips but Chishiya shuts that down and holds your hips keeping them down on the pillow as he wastes no time to pull out just to slam back into you with force making your body jolt.
”Shiya, shit,so good” you babble and grip the sheets below you as he hammers your g-spot perfectly every thrust. You clench as your breathing becomes heavier once again. Your eyes roll back and your knuckles are white from gripping the sheets too hard. Your hair was a mess, sweat rolled off of both yours and Chishiya’s bodies. Your body begins to shake as you feel your climax coming close to breaching now. ”Sh-Chishiya i’m close again, please, please. I need to come” you cry out, tears pouring from your eyes and Chishiya never lets his pace falter as you try to push him away. It was all too much for you.
Chishiya pulls out as you clench tightly, signalling you were going to cum. You fell limp, body worn out,you were desperately begging to cum, you promised over and over that it was just him you wanted, his cock and nobody else's. You sniffle and wipe your own tears as he slips back inside you once again, warm velvet like walls eloping him snugly.
This time Chishiya grabs your ankles and pulls your legs together and over his shoulder. He moans out as you become more tight. He closes his feline like eyes and lets his hips piston in and out of your cunt. ”Please, please, please” you keep begging Chishiya, tears cascade down your cheeks as you lay there, clenching and unclenching, your body going into overstimulation and yet you still have not come yet.
Chishiya’s hand finds its way to your clit quickly drawing figure 8s,it makes your legs tense ”close, close, shit! I'm coming” your vision blurs and you feel faint, white dots are all you see as you feel wetness all over your legs and now the bed and pillow underneath you were soaked. Chishiya’s thrusts become shallow and quick as he chases his euphoria. He was panting and tired as his cum painted your walls white, filling you right up.
He stays inside you as he rides out his high. His hips jerked a couple more times. He lets your shaking legs fall down from his shoulder. He removes his cock and watches the cum trickle out of your used pussy.
He cleans himself up and redresses himself before turning back to you basking in your post orgasm bliss. You were quickly pulled up so your legs were off the bed but your stomach lay on the bed. Chishiya is quick to swat your arse with his hand as you moan out in sensitivity. He continues until ten, five swats on each of your ass cheeks. Now red raw with his hand prints and bruising over slightly.
”such a slutty whore aren't you? Disobeying me when I said you couldn't cum. You squirted you filthy brat” he snarls, hand cupping your pussy, feeling your squirt and his cum on his hand before he retracts it and slaps your clit harshly.
”im sor-” again your apology was cut short as he slips two fingers inside of you, his ring finger and middle finger, hooking them as his other hand comes to your clit, rubbing with such intensity. Your legs give way and you fall to the ground. Chishiya quickly follows you and never stops.
You were so worn out,you had learned your lesson but Chishiya didn't believe it. He wanted you to squirt again, only for him to see. You close your eyes and clench as more liquid spewed from your cunny. You let out a scream and crumble completely onto the floor. Face down, breathing heavily, body shaking and lower half of your body, wet and sticky.
Chishiya smirks and looks down at you ”poor little slut” he mumbles and picks you up. Lifting you into a chair and grabbing a few things for a bath for you. The water runs the perfect temperature for you as he helps you from the chair to the bathtub and lifts you in,he leaves you in there to relax whilst he changes the sheets and cleans up the best he could with the limited supplies he had.
He had fulfilled his promise to make you his,and no one was going to take you from him.
A/N pt2: i am so sorry for this being late,i've had terrible writers block and family events i had to attend, i hope you enjoyed it and don't forget to like, comment and reblog (if you like, not forcing,i’d never) anyways mwah!

Looking Glasses
Requested by anonymous: I’ve had this idea for a little while so I was thinking maybe chishiya x gn!reader where the reader has glasses and they Break in a game so chishiya make them a new one?
Pairing: Shuntaro Chishiya x gn!reader
Word Count: 680 words
Warnings: none
A/N As someone who has almost a minus 6 on both eyes, this felt refreshing to write 😂
You sighed as you fiddled with your glasses, annoyed at the fact that they had broken halfway the game due to an angry woman who decided to punch you. The lenses were fine, stuffed deep into your pocket, but the frames were a goner. They were bent, the right temple was missing the screw and you were now officially blind. The people around you were now just blurs, colors blending together to create said blurs. Of course, the headache was also already starting to form and you had no doubt that it would turn into a heavy migraine after a few hours.
Of course, the loud chatter from your teammates just made everything worse. You'd make a comment, but you didn't feel like it and you also didn't know their names.
You felt the car come to a stop and stepped out, your legs wobbly as you tried to gain balance. You already had no sense of balance with glasses, so imagine what it was like without them and a vision that almost felt like blindness. The people with you scattered to their own places of enjoyment, while you just tried to not trip. You made it inside, luckily, and a figure approached you. You squinted, trying to figure out who it was until you recognized the blue color of Kuina's swimsuit and Chishiya dressed in his white sweater and swim shorts. Once they stood close enough, your vision focused a bit more as you squinted.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Kuina asked and you just held up your frames with a defeated look, causing Kuina to burst out laughing. You glared at her form pocketing the frames again before moving your eyes to Chishiya.
"How was your game?" "Boring, 8 of hearts." He mumbled as he walked past you and you frowned, turning around to watch his form with shock.
"A 8 of hearts?! How is that boring? It's terrifying!" You exclaimed, looking at Kuina for confirmation before turning back to follow Chishiya. Kuina was kind enough to make sure you didn't fall and to guide you through the crowd. It didn't take long for you to reach your room, laying on the bed with a sigh. Your head laid right next Chishiya's lap while Kuina sat near your legs, laying on top of you while chewing on her fake cigarette.
"So, how did those break?" Kuina asked as she watched you pull out the frames and lenses. You just sighed loudly, dropping the parts on the bedside table before explaining.
"Some lady got angry during the game and punched me... I was too bossy for her." You said and Kuina scoffed before turning so she quite literally laid on top of you, staring at you to continue your story.
"I didn't help after that and she died..." You continued, earning a snort from Chishiya and both you and Kuina looked up in surprise. He gave you a side glance, but no one said anything.
"So, what about you Kuina?" "Oh my god, okay! So, I was in the same game as Ann-" She started ranting happily and you did your best to follow along to her speed talk. One thing about Kuina was that she got too fast to follow when she got excited to talk about it. While you paid close attention, neither you nor Kuina noticed that Chishiya had picked up the remains of your glasses and started to toy with them.
Kuina had been talking for an hour when she finally decided to get some sleep, getting up and leaving the room with Chishiya not far behind to return to his own. You laid down in the bed again, eyes moving to look at your broken glasses only to see them mildly fixed.
The lenses were back in the frames, the right temple was back attached and the bridge was back to being unbend.
You couldn't help but smile, knowing that it was Chishiya had fixed it. You didn't know how, but you honestly didn't really care as you laid on your side while staring at the glasses with a bright smile.

Girls just wanna have fun
A/N: little insight on what i think Chishiya and the reader's relationship is like after the ending of As much as you want. •ᴗ•
Usagi and Arisu were getting married.
Chishiya had simply congratulated them when they announced the news. Kuina had been shocked, but had run to open a bottle of champagne to celebrate. Ann, on video call, busy because of work, had clapped and cheered, just as anyone would. Your reaction, however, had been a bit different.
"A child bride." You had gasped, eyes wide open, half-joking, half-actually-serious, your voice low so that nobody but him could hear. "What's next, teenage pregnancy?"
Chishiya silently laughed, burying his face in your hair so that nobody could see, one arm around you.
"She's your age." He pointed out, entertained by your reaction.
"And what am I? A literal child." You whispered, brows raised.
"A literal child way past her twenties."
"Three words: I. Am. Baby." You lifted a finger with each of them, and then stuck your tongue out.
The two of you had been dating for as long as Usagi and Arisu had, but clearly your relationship had a different timeline. Chishiya didn't mind. You, judging by your comments, didn't either.
"I wonder, what will I do now with the ring that I have in my pocket…?" Chishiya asked, teasing you, staring at the ceiling as if the answer to his question laid there.
"Don't you dare." You pointed your index finger at him, menacingly.
He chuckled, and lifted both arms above his head, his palms directed at you.
Things had been good. You had found a job in Japan, which meant you could stay for as long as you wanted and had moved on your own, although truth be told, Kuina pretty much lived with you, even if she didn't pay rent. The two of you had become inseparable. Ann and Usagi had later on joined your little group.
Chishiya and you also spent a lot of time together. He had got a definite workplace in a hospital close to where you lived and would come spend most nights. Or afternoons. Or mornings.
It didn't matter the time of the day, if he was available, the two of you were together.
Yeah… One could say things were better than good.
-------------------------------------------------- The night of the bachelorette party came.
Usagi had wanted something simple. To go to dinner with her best friends, maybe have a couple of drinks and call it a night.
Kuina and you had a different idea.
Ann just let you do whatever you wanted, lifting her shoulders every time Arisu or Chishiya would ask, as if saying "Well, what can I do to stop them?".
So you did go to dinner. But then you also went to a huge party in some fancy club, all of you dressed in pink except Usagi, who was forced to dress in white, wear a crown and a t-shirt saying "Here comes the bride!".
Chishiya had been working the whole time. He had a night shift, and it was about nine in the morning when he finally was done. First thing he did after changing into his normal clothes was checking his phone.
And saw he had an impressive amount of notifications. He was surprised the device hadn't blown up.
He opened his always on-going conversation with you. You never said goodbye, not even good night. You just went to sleep, and would continue where you left off the following morning. Sometimes you would write "(going to sleep, love you, tty in the morning <3)" between parenthesis, but that's as much as he would get.
Again, Chishiya didn't mind. He loved it.
He stopped to look at your photo, holding one of your parents' cats. It was from a trip you took on Christmas to your home country. You had kept saying that this particular cat reminded you of him.
He read the messages with a smile on his face:
hiiiiiii! we just had dinner and we are going to go to da club nowwww
After that, you had sent a picture of your food and another one of your outfit in what was probably the bathroom of the restaurant. You were wearing a pink dress and looked absolutely beautiful, at least in Chishiya's opinion.
hi agaiiiiiin, in the club now!!! good music today, i know every single song
i really hope i'm not bothering you and your phone's on muuuuuuuute
miss u
miss u again
miss u a third time <3
A picture of the four of you. A video of you singing one of the songs with the lyrics copypasted down below, because they said stuff about being in love and you wanted him to know you were thinking about him when they played it.
i'm having so much fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun
wish u were here <3
A lot of pictures of Usagi. More selfies of you. Selfies with Kuina.
Your writing got worse. The messages more sappy.
i jst wished i coold go home and be with u tnight bcs i miss u
u mean evvrthing 2 meeeeeeeeeeee
bst dctor ever
go bby go!!!!!!!
A picture of you, sent by Kuina using your phone, in what seemed like a car. You were sleeping.
You had another message, from Arisu:
I went to pick the girls up. Kuina is with your girl at her appartment. Everything fine! b(^^)b
Thanks, Arisu.
Chishiya put his phone in the pocket of his dark jeans after replying to the text and left the hospital.
It was about an hour later when he rang your door bell using his elbow, holding three coffees in his right hand and a brown bag with breakfast buns for three in the left one.
Kuina opened up, very sleepy, wearing pyjamas. But her eyes grew wider when she saw the coffee Chishiya was holding, extending both arms to grab it and opening and closing her hands, clearly thrilled.
"You're the absolute best!" She said after taking the first sip and Chishiya simply tilted his head to one side, conceding. He left everything he was carrying on the kitchen counter.
"She's still sleeping?"
"I would be as well. She's in her room."
The woman with dreadlocks just threw herself on your sofa and turned the TV on.
Chishiya went to your room, opening the door without knocking, because you probably wouldn't have heard it, sleeping as you were. You usually slept in the weirdest positions, but now, you were on your side, both your arms below your pillow. You were still wearing the make-up from the night before. He smiled when he saw you were wearing one of his t-shirts.
Silently, he took off his shoes, and climbed to bed with you, placing himself at your back and putting an arm around you.
"Chishiya?" You whispered groggily, not even opening your eyes just moving backwards so that you could be closer to him.
"No."
"Yes you are, dummy."
He smiled and gave you a kiss on the top of your head, covering the both of you with the blanket.
"Had fun?"
"Yes, very much so. How was work? All good?"
"Boring."
"Boring means good. No accidents. No meteorites."
Chishiya laughed at that. You had met in the hospital, after being victims of a meteorite hitting Shibuya. In his opinion, a natural disaster wasn't such a bad thing.
It had brought you into his life.
"Did you bring Kuina coffee?" You asked, suddenly, opening one of your eyes and turning your face so that you could look at him.
"I did."
"I think you just moved to the number one position in her list of favorite people."
"What number am I in yours?"
"Did you bring me coffee?"
"No."
"I know you did, so you are number one."
"Because I brought you coffee?"
"No." You flashed him a lopsided grin, cheekily. You used to do it only sarcastically at first, but Chishiya had mentioned once or twice much he liked it when you started dating, so you had incorporated it to your list of smiles. This one you used when you wanted to mess with him. "Because I know you brought me a cinnamon bun."
The blonde laughed, and you ended up completely turning around in his arms so that you could be face to face. You gave him a kiss on the tip of the nose, then on the lips.
"Can we stay here a little bit longer?" You asked, feeling warm and safe.
"Yes. But only a little bit."
A small wrinkle appeared between your brows, and you squinted your eyes.
"Why?"
"Kuina will eat all the breakfast."
You laughed and cuddled up to him.
Five more minutes wouldn't hurt anyone.

hiiii, may i request headcanons 4 aib characters dating chishiya’s younger sibling? ur writing is amazing <33
˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ SUGAR CRUSH aib characters dating chishiya’s younger sibling (headcannons!)
note: thank you sm! i really liked this request but i found it kinda hard to write bc chishiya is so difficult for me so i apologise if it’s kinda short <3
hikari kuina —
- after she befriended chishiya he finally decided to introduce you to her
- she fell for you the moment she saw you smile kindly at her
- chishiya amusingly watched your love story unfold
- he’d find any opportunity to tease her about you
- i feel like chishiya would tell her embarrassing stories from your childhood which she’ll enjoy while you’re dying from embarrassment
- in turn she’ll make jokes to him about how good you are in bed which will disgust him so much he’ll find a way to run as far away from her as possible
- i feel like chishiya honestly wouldn’t really care who you date and he won’t really come in between your relationship
- unless he really despised the person which isn’t the case for kuina
mira kano —
- she would have known from day one that he was your brother
- when chishiya found out he realised that he knew absolutely nothing about mira except for the fact that she was good in heart games
- that made him wary of her and he subtly warned you about it
- when that didn’t work he made sure he always joins the games you play with your girlfriend to make sure she doesn’t do anything to you
- they kinda share you so you never hangout with both mira and chishiya
- mira wouldn’t really care about your brother so you never really talked about him
- chishiya however was slightly concerned about you but he never did anything more than going to games with you and her
- when you found out she was the game master you were as shocked as the others
- at first chishiya thought that perhaps you knew what your girlfriend was doing but after taking one look at your shocked face he knew that wasn’t the case
morizono aguni —
- istg these two have a silent war going on
- chishiya won’t be too happy when he opens your door and sees you and aguni kissing in your bedroom
- he’ll find a way to insult the militants in every conversation that he has with you
- aguni won’t do anything to him tho because he’s your brother and he knows you care about him
- but god this man almost rolled his eyes into the back of his head whenever chishiya’s around
- if it had been any other person chishiya would have just stayed out of it but he is almost addicted to irritating aguni while knowing he won’t do anything to him
- one time it was so bad that aguni refused to be in the same room as your brother for a week
- hatter would be proud of him for finally getting a girl tho
rizuna ann —
- this woman could care less who you were related to
- and besides it’s not like she has anything against your brother
- chishiya though would see this as an opportunity to get on her good side for if he ever needed her skill set
- but it didn’t really work
- still if he’d ever ask you to ask ann to do something for him she’d do it if it’s nothing too bad
- but you’d have to return the favour later though
- ann would question you about your brother just to make sure he isn’t manipulating you into anything
- these two are a little bit too similar so they’d stay out of each other’s business
ryohei arisu —
- arisu had absolutely no idea you were related to the guy he remembered from the five spades game when he first met you
- you weren’t doing anything when he saw you in the lobby after a game
- his eyes practically turned into hearts when you laughed at something the person in front of you had said
- and his little crush didn’t go unnoticed by chishiya who saw this as the perfect opportunity to use him for his plan
- your brother specifically told kuina to introduce you to arisu and make it known to him that you were his younger sibling
- after that he’d ask arisu to help him and when he saw that he wasn’t going to agree he mentioned you being sad that he won’t join
- this man had to hold back a smile when arisu agreed while asking if you were also going to be there
- while chishiya knew you thought arisu was hot he didn’t think that you’d actually date him
- so that came as a slight surprise
- when chishiya betrayed him, he had thought you were just acting like you were interested in him until you risked your life to save him
- he’s still holding a grudge against your brother but he other than that there isn’t anything huge going on between them
suguru niragi —
- i swear chishiya thinks you’re delusional when he found out that you were dating him
- he’s displeased with the fact that he could be sometime somehow related to him and he’s very vocal about it
- 50% of the time he makes fun of how stupid niragi is the other 50% is him making fun of you because you’re dating him
- although he’s not very vocal about it he would be worried about you
- niragi would taunt your brother by kissing you in front of him
- at some point chishiya tried to manipulate you out of dating niragi but that didn’t go as planned
- when you caught niragi’s interest he hadn’t expected for you to be chishiya’s little sibling
- he only found out when you were making out in your room and your brother barged in without knocking whatsoever
- he whines to you about how annoying your brother is but other than that he doesn’t really care that he’s related to you
- when chishiya set your boyfriend on fire and you found out you weren’t really happy
- kuina had to hold you back from jumping on him tbh
- even though you promised to yourself that you would never talk to your brother again he somehow wormed his way back to your heart again
- you eventually forgave him for it bc he’s your brother and you were sure that niragi wouldn’t let that slide
- speaking of him, you’d take care of his burn wounds for him but you weren’t an actual doctor like your brother
- so you used whatever knowledge you picked up from him
- tbh it would be tiring to date niragi while being chishiya’s younger sibling
takatora samura —
- you would have caught his eye while you were talking with kuina
- he wouldn’t have really known that you were chishiya’s sister because you weren’t exactly identical
- you would have noticed him lingering around any room that you were in so you decided to talk to him
- he was slightly surprised by your laidback approach and didn’t say very much
- after that encounter he continued hanging around you until chishiya noticed
- when your brother found out about his infatuation with you he’ll be around you more than ever
- bc samura doesn’t know yet that he’s your brother he’d be kinda pissed that he’s constantly around you
- when he found out though he didn‘t really care
- chishiya would dislike him and he’ll let you know
- he’d talk about your boyfriend as if he’s a dog
- but other than that i don’t really think they’d interact much
yuzuha usagi —
- she would have met you through kuina
- you were absolutely breathtaking to her and she’d blush anytime you even looked at her
- chishiya immediately noticed how usagi liked you so he used it to his advantage
- anytime he noticed that she was skeptical to meet up for the plan he’d carelessly mention that you’d be there which changed her mind immediately
- she’d know pretty soon that he’s your brother because you didn’t really hide it
- when chishiya betrayed her and arisu you were really pissed
- you had saved her from niragi but she was less trusting around you which you understood
- eventually you were able to convince her that you weren’t like your older brother and that you would never betray her
- chishiya wouldn’t really care that you’re dating her and usagi would only have a slight distaste because he betrayed her
- but other than that they were both alright with how things were

Risk It All (21)- Bandages
Genre: Chishiya x fem reader
Warning: death, violence, blood, guns
A/N: I was supposed to update this before I went to LA and on wattpad I did but I didn’t in tumblr even though I thought I did so I’m sorry you have all had to wait so long HOWEVER you get a double upload 🫶🏻 I have no idea where this chapter came from I was sitting there and then suddenly I started writing and poof. Is he finally learning? idk. Will he be back to being emotionally constipated Chishiya by tomorrow? Probably. Does he care for YN? Yes. Was he afraid? Idk read next chapter 😂
Ch.20 | Masterlist | Ch.22
The video message continued to replay itself. Mira mutters the same words over and over again. You all decided to head back to the Main Street. The tunnels suddenly feel eerie.
"That was a surprise." Kuina sighed, folding her arms across her chest. You often wondered how she didn't ever get cold, maybe now her style would change. No longer restricted by the beaches rules.
It's not like people here cared much for fashion. That became the least of your problems the second you stepped into the borderlands.
"What's that noise?" You mumbled, unsure if you were hearing things.
"It's coming from outside," Chishiya answered, his hand brushing against yours as he walked further ahead than the small group you'd formed.
You focused on the stairs in front of you, not wanting to trip. Arisu and Usagi were walking beside you, Kuina and Ann a little further back with Tatta trailing. "It's a blimp."
You understood what Chishiya had meant when you exited to entrance to the station, the beautiful blue sky occupied by four blimps, all of which varied in distance. The one above you had a sheet attached to it, the king of clubs printed on it. "It's starting isn't it?" Arisu directed the question to Chishiya.
"It's strange, there's no rules no si-
BANG.
You'd seen guns, seen them fired, but never had a bullet graze your ear though. In fact, you were sure it would have gone straight through your head if Chishiya hadn't pushed you out of the way.
"Run!" Kuina shouted, Chishiya following behind you as everyone broke off into pairs.
"Watch where you're going." You wanted to scoff, even with bullets flying through the air in every direction Chishiya still managed to have a stick up his ass. "Don't get shot, keep low. Get behind the car."
You rolled your eyes but followed his instructions, shielding your body with a dusty blue car just out of the shooter's sight. You could hear screams in the opposite direction, unfortunately, that meant you and Chishiya were closer to being safe. You didn't have time to worry about it anyone else right now.
"You see the building over there? The side door? Run there, do not look back." You used the body of the car to give you a lift, keeping your body hunched over as you run as fast as possible.
Another gunshot went off, this time the bullet hitting a window near you. "Chishiya?" You called back, still sprinting ahead.
You could hear his footsteps, the sound of the gravel underneath him providing you with some comfort, the adrenaline keeping you going. "Behind you, go."
The steps to the building were narrow but you managed two at a time. "Keep going through there, look for an exit door."
He was a few paces behind you but you both knew you weren't out of the danger zone yet. "There's a fire exit door here."
"Where?" He asked, a little out of breath beside you. His hair was somewhat dishevelled but as always he had a calming yet beautiful aura to him, even if he was still a demanding dick with a stick up his ass. "Oh, there."
He sighed, eyeing the padlocked and chained door. "Someone probably camped out here before, look for another exit."
"The window?" You both frowned, stepping over to it cautiously. The building must have been a storeroom or something. Random pots, and crates surround a few rusted stools. "Isn't it too far?
The space was a few feet, the window the same height. He opened the window, leaning out to eye the height. "It's either jump or wait for hun, her, them to come back here and I don't know about you but I don't feel like dying before finding out what this place is."
"How will we open the other window? Neither of us can reach. You aren't exactly the tallest." You wanted to laugh at your own remark but decided against it when you heard him grumbling.
"You're what half a foot shorter than me? I should have let the bullet wedge itself in your skull maybe then you wouldn't be making jokes. Look for something long and sturdy enough to push the window open." You didn't argue back, knowing he would only have another half-assed comment that would no doubt annoy you to the core.
You searched for a few minutes, looking through the empty crates before he called you over holding up a crowbar. "This is perfect. You're lighter than me so you reach out and open it and I'll hold your legs so you don't fall."
You shook your head, narrowing your eyes at him. "How do I know you won't drop me?"
"I saved you from that bullet didn't I?" You paused at the slight smile crossing his lips. "I won't."
"Fine, if you do I'm telling the shooter where you are." You resigned, stepping up on the ledge and reaching out for the crowbar.
It was a struggle but you managed to lean out the window enough to reach the sliding handle. Chishiyas's hands firmly on your ankles, his touch grounding you.
"You jump, I'll be right behind you." He offered, taking a step back so you could have enough room to gain some power to your jump. Your fingers barely managed to secure themselves around the open window, you pulled your body up your hands scraping up the wall as you did.
Chishiya followed behind you, the jump being easier for him. The half-a-foot of extra height playing in his favour. "What now?"
He looked around, observing the room before noticing a small door you hadn't. "If I'm right this leads into the basement of the next building, if I remember the area correctly it is only accessible from the other side of the street. We could either hide low there or exit whilst they are distracted killing everyone else."
You raised your eyebrows at him despite the lack of shock you held in his response. "You say that so easily. What do you think is safer? Aren't we just sitting ducks waiting?"
"Now you're getting it, you have to risk it all sometimes. I'll look out first, you stay behind me." You held your breath as he opened the door slowly, wincing as the old metal grated against itself. He ducked his head out looking left and right before taking a step back inside. "We can make it if we run. Follow me okay? Do not be slow or I swear I will use you as a shield."
"Yeah yeah, I get it you know you could save your time with these rants. Just run and be happy I don't decide to use YOU as my shield." You let the mild irritation and panic you'd felt earlier seep into your words, not caring much about playing nice. "Be careful." You tacked on the end, half-heartedly but still very true.
"Finally, a backbone. Let's go." You once again found yourself rolling your eyes, trying to refrain from hitting him.
Within a few seconds, you were both sprinting. He didn't look back and neither did you. Even as screams grew louder and the stampede of people passed you the only thing you were focused on was Chishiya, your feet landing in the places he had been a fraction of a second ago.
Your lungs were just about to explode when Chishiya ducked into a building, you following behind him. His frame had already collapsed to the floor, chest heaving as you entered your body doing exactly the same, desperate for respite from the sudden exertion. "Fuck."
You murdered in agreement, far too oxygen-deprived to muster any words. It thankfully only lasted a few moments before you were able to compose yourself, shuffling closer to him. "Are we safe here?"
"I think so, we could try and head back to the house but I think we should head higher up, try to get a map of the games. What I have here isn't going to do." He held up the small backpack he had removed from his back, pulling out a bottle of water which he offered you first.
You accepted it, taking a few sips before passing the bottle back to him. Swirling the cap in between your fingers. "No rules were announced, how do we play the game if we don't know the rules?"
"I don't think there is any. In fact, I don't think this is a game but a mere attempt at wiping as many of us out as possible." He shrugs, holding his hand out for the cap.
You open your hand, pushing the cap towards him, he eyes you for a moment before taking it, slipping it back onto the bottle. "You haven't noticed yet have you?"
You frown at him, utter confusion across you. "Noticed what?"
"Your arm." He stated, pointing to your bicep.
You follow his gaze, your eyes widening at the sight of blood seeping through the fabric. "I'm bleeding."
"Take your shirt off."
"Excuse me?" You scoffed in disbelief.
He shook his head, opening the bag. "Take the shirt off, let me see I brought supplies in case something like this happened."
Your face flushed red. "Oh." Of course, that's what he meant. You tried to pull the shirt off but the sudden pain encasing your left side stopped you. "I can't Chishiya."
"It's the adrenaline wearing off, let me do it." He help you steady your arm as he slid the frantic off, your vest providing you little against the breeze. "I have to clean it."
"I guessed that, be gentle." You half smiled, already dreading the searing pain of the cleaning alcohol against the wound.
"It doesn't look like it went through, it's a bad graze. Your ear too." He analysed your arm and you used the time to analyse him. His face held a hint of something that could be seen as a concern, his fingers working almost automatically. Your mind is flooded with images of the hotel, when he has dressed your wounds then.
"You help me a lot." You murmured, the realisation of his small acts of care coming to you. "You take care of me."
"As I said, I don't hate you." You could have died at the small smirk tugging at his lips. He pulled out a small bottle and some cleaning pads. "This will hurt, try to be quiet."
"Yeah sure I'll scre-OH OW!" Your sentence cut off with a grunt of pain as he poured the alcohol into the wound dabbing it a few times before heading back for a bandage.
"I told you to be quiet." He laughed, you reached our leg out, kicking his thigh.
"You're an asshole." You felt yourself pouting but didn't bother fixing it, he was an asshole.
"And you're immature, life your arm let me wrap the bandage around." He gave the instruction but provided no time for you to follow through before he lifted your hand and rested it against his shoulder. "Always needing my help."
"Can't help needing it when you're always offering it." You wince as he tightens it around the wound, the pain still a little jarring. "Do you have any painkillers?"
"A few." He mumbled, securing the bandage before moving up to your ear. "I don't have anything small enough to cover that but I'll clean it anyway. "Don't scream."
You raised your other hand to hit him but before you could his own wrapped around your wrist. "Don't."
"Or what?" You spat back.
"I've been nice to you, don't piss me off. I'll leave you here for your wounds to get infected." His grip tightened around your wrist, his frame towering over you a little even as you both sat.
You pushed back, yet he didn't budge. "Let me go."
"I told you not to." He clicked his tongue.
You raised an eyebrow in response. "So go ahead, leave."
Before you could push him again he had already raised your hands above your head, forcing you backwards a little. "For someone so weak you have an almighty attitude."
"For someone so short you have a high level of audacity." You retorted, mentally praising yourself for the quick thinking.
You were sure you would have come out with something if his lips hadn't collided with your own, once again leaving you grasping for air. Your lungs burning with the need to breathe was a discarded desire as you pushed back onto him. His hand dropped from your wrist, coming up to caress your face. The surprise affection took you off guard but you welcomed it, leaning into his touch. "I told you to be safe." His voice croaked as he pulled away , his hand still lingering on your cheek.
"I'm still here."
"I know, I have eyes."
"We should leave shouldn’t we?"
"Yes. Can you not get shot this time?"
"Chishiya are you admitting you worried about me."
"Yes."

How they are with kids
No warnings for this!
Prompt: How well can they handle children?
Characters: Chishiya Shuntaro, Arisu Ryōhei, Ann, Kuina hikari
WC: 745
What I was listening to while writing:
If I have made any personality or spelling mistakes please tell me!! Requests are open and welcomed! (Scenarios and characters)
Chishiya Shuntarō
He thinks he's alright with kids skill wise, since he works with kids often his kid skills are a lot higher than expected. Chishiya doesn't particularly want kids but if you want kids he wouldn't deny you.
You two are out walking to a shop you like to visit holding hands and chatting when a toddler catches your attention. The kid appears to of lost her parents, crying to the point her words can barely be heard.
You walk up to her kneeling down trying to ask her what's wrong but she doesn't respond still bawling.
Chishiya kneels down next to you and calms the girl down with random noises and a game of peekaboo, he let's you speak to her, soon her parents come find her and leave after thanking you both. As you look at Chishiya you see him in a new light, a much softer one than before.
Arisu Ryōhei
He's not good with kids and he knows it. Even if you wanted a kid he'd treat it as a friend more than a son or daughter.
Arisu was strung along with you to a family event, all your cousins would be there even the ones under age 10. Arisu is visibly nervous yet still he manages to have kids near him whenever you look over. You look over once again and notice one of your cousins are crying next to him, Arisu is trying to shush him (bribing him) you have to walk over and drag your cousin back to your aunt before asking Arisu what happened.
You were just as confused as him so you decided to keep Arisu close to you from now on.
"He started crying when he heard my name apparently it was girly and he didn't like it??"
Ann
Ann doesn't mind kids but she definently isn't some prodigy with them. If you wanted kids she would give a stern no.
You and Ann are sitting on your lounge watching movies for Halloween, your cuddled up together paying all attention to the movie.
You say as you leave to the kitchen upstairs. A knock is heard, you being upstairs Ann gets up to answer the door to a teen. Honestly if it wasn't Halloween Ann would've thought it was a poorly planned robbery with the teens clothes.
"I'm going to get some more snacks"
Ann smiles at the teen and closes the door while she runs upstairs to grab a candy apple for her. Your confused about what she needs it for but figure that it's important with the way she's running. When she get back to the door she can see the kid walking to the next house already so she waddles to her and gives her the apple apologising.
"Trick or treat!"
"What happened?"
Your back on the lounge when Ann walks back and when she finishes explaining you laugh at the story then go back to cuddling.
Kuina Hikari
Kuina is good with kids, but that's only if you ask the kid. They like her so much because she's so relaxed about what they do.
Kuina is sitting at a bar when she gets a text from her friend asking her to babysit with her so of course she joins her friend. When she gets there the kid is having organised fun like colouring and drinking apple juice.
"Really? You called me here for this? I thought it'd be some hard to care for kid"
Kuina is a little sad that she isn't at the bar anymore but she gets to spend time with her friend, and some sticky kid, plus her friend needed a break after the continuous 3 hours of kid sitting.
"I called you over so I could shower, it was a hot day at work today so watch over him for me?"
Kuina nods watching her friend leave her with the kid. She decides to not speak for a bit while the kid is busy.
Please reblog and comment if you enjoyed it!
She steps outside the house to call you over, her friend can take 2 hours in a shower. When you arrive you sit together watching TV and playing board games with the kid until her friend is back.
Thank you for reading ^^

AIB Executive Board found family HC's
shout out to @bdanp, thank you for the lovely content, I wish to add my own.
Hehehe I love the idea of these fools being a dysfunctional family unit. I literally need semi-wholesome content on the beach members because otherwise I will lose it. The AIB fandom has really brought out my drive, bc I will be the change I wish to see in the fandom space. Uh, they are dysfunctional with a capital D, so this isn't entirely wholesome, but I'm writing this, so you can't be too surprised.
Today on the board; Aguni, Kuzuryuu, Mira, and Chishiya
-Aguni, Hatter, and Kuzuryuu are the father figures to the group. -Aguni and Hatter used to date but are still friends who maybe have lingering feelings. Who knows. -Aguni just fucking sighs and has to drag them around when they're being stupid, especially the militants. -Has a special soft spot for Arisu once he joins bc he's so hopeful and sweet, and he likes having a moral compass around. Arisu is also the only heart specialist who doesn't resort to murder -He's the only one Niragi listens to, which is why he's the only diamond orientated militant. -Hates the beach and everything it stands for, bc he knows it's a lie. He misses the Hatter before the beach ruined him, and his feelings for him are forever tainted. Tries not to make their history the beach's problem.
-Kuzuryuu didn't even realize he was a dad, he's just fucking there. He's the calm fatherly validation half the board craves, and he has 0 questions. -He has favorites, and it's the exec's diamond trio (Ann, Chishiya, and Niragi) -Fully supports Chishiya's tinkering hobby. Told him that if being a doctor didn't work out, then he should go into STEM. -Finds the entire beach to be a headache, but does genuinely care for the exec members. -Best friends with Mira, who's taken up the role as wine aunt. She's the one who convinced him to come check out the beach. They both help put the exec members into games they're good at.
-Mira interacts with everyone with a Gatekeep Gaslight Girlboss energy about her that freaks everyone else out. She's fully capable of making normal expressions, but chooses to smile her way through everything. -Unironically plays therapist to the exec board bc she was/is a licensed psychiatrist, and they're all so mentally fucked up. She does it in the 'I can't make you better or worse, but I can figure out what's so funky about you' kinda way. She mostly does this to Niragi and Arisu, and also maybe Hatter when he's around. -Casually threatens everyone's life subtly and offers 0 explanations. She's unironically the scariest person at the beach, bc she's so unsettling. -enjoys girls night with Ann, Kuina, and Usagi whenever she's invited, and gets her hair braided -She makes the most references to memes along with hatter, to the annoyance of literally everyone else.
-Chishiya stares in silent judgment whenever he has to fix up an injury, frequently pulls out the 'I'm just a med student' and 'i work with children' cards to get out of things. Makes jokes about just letting them die to scare them. -He wears hoodies everywhere he goes bc they're his comfort clothing item and no one comments on it. Uses big medical words in casual convo to irritate the execs. Autism creature #1, I'm right. -Hates being touched unless he initiates it or gives permission, and is very firm about this boundary. Arisu once tried to hug him and got tased. He didn't try again.
-Silent rage towards Ann for being so goddamn tall. Wears chunky sneakers to appear slightly taller (a/n no genuinely, look in the show those are 2-inch shoes) -He sees Niragi as the worst version of himself, and it honestly freaks him out sometimes. Entirely neutral on his existence most of the time, but finds bickering with him amusing. -Chishiya simply doesn't express himself like everyone else, but he does feel the normal range of human emotions. Mira mentioned him possibly being neurodivergent.
-Kuzuryuu is his dad and that's fine with him
Comeback next time for the rest, bc it's like 3 pages on my Google Docs, and that's too much for one post.

completely usless aib headcanons with no angst at all
- Heiya is a big Star Wars fan and writes fanfic about it in her freetime.
- Aguni likes watching those rug cleaning videos.
- the first song Arisu learned on guitar was The Hardest Button To Button.
- Chishiya loves the Spiderman comics and movies with a passion and given the opportunity, will talk about it for hours.
- Mira has owned a pet turtle before.
- Usagi's favorite show is Stranger Things and her fav character is Robin.
- Karube likes astrology, but would never admit that to anyone.
- Kuina shamefully watches South Park.
- Ann is secretly a Wonder Girls stan but pretends she isn't to not ruin the "metal listener" image she's created for herself.
- Niragi's favorite video game is Minecraft, ironically enough.
- Urumi is a small streamer who also plays video games-- mainly LoL and Overwatch.
- Kuzuryū is allergic to cats, but still fed a bunch of them when he was living in the states.
- Hatter is totally a conspiracy theorist and watched Shane Dawson for a while...then he found out all of.... that....
- Doudou watches Game Theory and will rant about FNaF if given the opportunity.
- Tatta watches Phineas and Ferb RELIGIOUSLY and kins Doofenshmirtz.
BONUS-- post borderlands:
- Heiya and Doudou started watching Buzzfeed Unsolved together and it's now a thing they do every weekend-- forcing Aguni to hang out with them too ofc. (they've finished both versions, every season, and ghost files at least five times each).

hobbies: cosplaying, writing , reading, mosaic, baking
favorite color: Big fan of red. But also some shades of blue.
favorite book: oh no that is too hard to choose. Maybe the Iliad though.

last film / show: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End for film, Bones for a live action show. Zankyou No Terror for an anime.
recent reads: Currently reading Legion, but the last finished book was The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern !
inspiration: it honestly varies a bit muse to muse. Music tends to be one, some literature, some past muses i've written of similar mindsets,
story behind url: Chishiya and Ann are both diamond players, and they're known for being sharp in terms of intelligence (albeit can be with words too). And then, well, diamonds are a suit of cards. Slapped an e on there because the other was taken. Although it ironically works given both are executives at the Beach and a suite can also refer to a group of people serving a monarch or people of high rank (Hatter in this case. Even if Chishiya's was for his own goals)
fun fact about me: ...I've spontaneously forgotten everything about myself. But I used to do chess competitions before I stopped when we moved. I'm also a HUGE mythology nerd of various regions mythologies.

(Love Is) A Deadly Game - chapter 6
A/N: Finally! I am sorry it took me so long to post this chapter, I have no excuses for myself. As always, thank you for reading! This chapter is a bit longer, I hope tumblr doesn’t act up. This was going to be the last chapter (you’ll see why) BUT I will write an epilogue, I promise I will post it soon.
Snippet: One of the only positive sides of being scared and on high alert was that you didn’t have time to think about him, you didn’t even want to think about his name.
Pairing: Chishiya x fem!reader
Chapter summary: With the Face Cards, the games are coming to an end, what will that mean for you and Chishiya?
Everything was a blur. You were wandering aimlessly around the city, trying to make sense of what had happened. The Beach had fallen apart in just one night, apparently during a game, a Hearts game. While you had been lucky enough to stay hidden and sneak out, you hadn’t been able to look for Kuina or anyone else, too shocked to do anything but put as much distance between you and the Beach as possible.
Things were no better outside. The city had an eerie, apocalyptic look to it, as if it had been abandoned decades ago instead of weeks. Weeks, was that right? How long had it really been? You tried to force yourself to remember but you couldn’t. No time to dwell on those thoughts, you had to be vigilant, keep moving.
One of the only positive sides of being scared and on high alert was that you didn’t have time to think about him, you didn’t even want to think about his name. Was it true, what he’d said? That he hadn’t paired with you at the game because he thought they would make you try to kill each other? But why would he think that? Maybe… No, you could not follow that train of thought. Whatever it had been, it was done, it didn’t matter. You’d left and he had stayed and that was probably where it ended for you both. You would have been afraid for him but knowing him, he had probably made it out of The Beach as well. You just hoped Kuina, Ann, Arisu, Usagi and some of the other players had escaped too.
And now what? Several screens lit up with an announcement: the next stage had begun, the Face Cards. Great. Not something you were looking forward to do on your own, but for now it seemed you had no choice. You did not care to play another Hearts game if it could be helped, but maybe you could try your luck in a Clubs game.
You were still walking around, lost in these thoughts when chaos erupted around you. People running pell-mell, and the sound of gunshots, too close for comfort. Just how many people had guns now? Looking up, you saw a silver blimp with a banner: the King of Spades. You stared at it for a second and then someone grabbed your arm.
‘What are you doing just standing there like that? You might as well paint a target on your chest.’ It was the guy who had paired with you at the Hearts game. He was holding hands with a short girl, both of them looked terrified and out of breath. You tried to look past them but there were so many people running, what were they running from?
‘What is going on?’ you asked.
‘The King of Spades,’ the short girl said.
‘Yeah, I saw the blimp but—’
‘He has a machine gun, or some sort of insane arsenal, he’s killing everyone. We need to go. Now!’
‘Why didn’t you say so?’
The three of you took off at a run, without a clear idea of where to go, just trying to get as far away from the area as possible. Hiding was not an option.
You crossed a street, dodging people, trying not to think too hard about those who were not running fast enough. Among that chaos, you heard a familiar voice somewhere behind you. Kuina. You stopped and turned around to look for her just in time to see her jumping into the backseat of a car, and then you saw him.
Chishiya stood there, looking at you, for a second too long. The people inside the car were urging him to get in. ‘Go!’ He yelled at them. The car sped up.
Time seemed to stand still. You stared at each other but neither of you moved. He looked as if he wanted to say something, you definitely wanted to speak but in that moment a falling object shook you out of that reverie, you realized where you were and what you were running from, and everything around you came back into focus. Was that a grenade?
‘Run!’ you yelled at Chishiya. You saw him jump out of the way and you did the same, covering your head with your arms instinctively.
There was an explosion. When the smoke cleared, Chishiya was gone.
It made sense that the Face Card games would be harder than the previous games. Hell, the fact that there was some sociopath gunning down players without any apparent sort of rules should have been enough of a clue, and the slight relief you felt having found someone to run with, turned to fear a few hours later.
The girl was injured, a bullet had grazed her leg. You tried to help the guy carry her so you could keep moving but he had refused, telling you to go on without them, that they didn’t want to slow you down. And just like that you were on your own again.
It was dark, it was getting harder to keep running. You were exhausted and afraid, even if you were reluctant to admit it. You had to look for a place to hide and get some rest.
The night was mostly quiet but from time to time you could hear yelling in the distance. ‘Please be alright,’ you whispered, tasting the salt of your tears, directing that plea to no one in particular. You thought about your recent companions, hoping they had found a place to rest. You thought about Kuina, wondering if you’d see her again. And then you let yourself think about Chishiya, alone because he hadn’t jumped into the car with the others and you couldn’t help but worry about him. No, he would be fine, wasn’t he always better on his own? But what if he wasn’t?
With nothing else to occupy your mind and sleep refusing to come, you went over what Chishiya had said in the car after that fateful Hearts game: “I didn’t do that because I don’t trust you. I thought they would make us kill our partner, I didn’t want to have to hurt you.”
Some part of you was still angry at him. He could have told you what he was going to do, he could have shared his reasons for not wanting to play the game with you, but you also had to admit to yourself that you might not have listened if he had. You recalled his words. ‘You didn’t want to hurt me,’ you said to yourself, wanting to believe that. You didn’t want to fool yourself into thinking he cared about you but there was that nagging sliver of hope carving its way into your head, into your heart.
After a sleepless night and another terrifying day, you were no longer sure if you were more afraid of dying, running into the King of Spades, finding Chishiya or never seeing him again. It surprised you how high that last option ranked among your fears. That night you made up your mind, you would look for him, whatever happened from that point on might be out of your hands, but you had to do that, see him one more time. You closed your eyes, willing yourself to fall asleep. You would have to be very careful while you searched for him, who knew how long that would take.
As it turned out, finding Chishiya was not that hard. You had spent the night at the tallest building you could find and you had taken that chance to locate the blimps. You were not that great with directions but you forced yourself to pay attention and tried to map out where the face cards were.
The King of Spades you knew to avoid, and you thought Chishiya wasn’t likely to play a Clubs or Spades game if he had a choice. He might join a Hearts game, but you wanted to try the Diamonds games first. You could see two of the Diamonds face cards, so you flipped an imaginary coin to choose between the Jack and Queen, those were closest to where you had been the previous day. ‘Let’s go see the Queen.’
Your instincts turned out to be right. You hadn’t taken two steps towards the registration table and there he was, different white jacket, same impassive expression. You gave him a curt nod, unsure of whether he would rather not have anyone else realize you two knew each other. He mouthed something in response: ‘Why?’ you just shrugged, whatever happened, at least you had seen him.
While you were waiting for registration to close, Chishiya went to stand beside you, speaking in a voice so low you could hardly hear him.
‘I’m sorry.’
‘What for?’ you muttered out of the corner of your mouth.
‘The Hearts game. Not about what I did, I really thought not pairing up was the best thing to do, but I could have told you.’
You nodded, at a loss for words now that you’d heard what he had to say.
‘Why are you here?’ Chishiya asked.
You leaned closer to him and whispered in his ear. ‘I am the Queen of Diamonds.’
‘Ha ha.’ Chishiya was not amused.
‘I wanted to see you. I was afraid I would not get another chance, you know, with the King of Spades.’ You mimicked firing a gun.
‘What if there is only one winner in this game?’ There was a tense note in Chishiya’s question.
‘Then I hope it’s one of us, it’ll very likely be you.’
‘Registration hasn’t closed, there are no devices, you can still leave.’
‘You don’t think I can play this game?’
‘No, but like I said, I’d rather not play against you.’
‘Why?’
Chishiya opened his mouth to reply but the robotic voice interrupted him. ‘Registration is now closed.’
You shrugged. ‘It seems we’re playing.’
The metallic voice launched into explaining the rules of the game. You looked at the screens depicting the explanation trying to concentrate. The players stood around a table. Each player was given a set of beads, each bead had a different value and the point of the game was to move the beads across a board, capturing other player’s beads without losing your own. The tricky part was that everyone moved the beads at the same time and you had to keep track of all your beads while planning your next move. If a player ran out of beads they were eliminated. The game ended when the Queen was defeated or there were no players left.
Even though you felt relieved when you heard there was a possibility that more than one player could survive, you could not say you were relaxed either, it would not be easy. You dug your nails into your palms. Games that required strategy, like chess or checkers, were not your favorites, they had never been your thing. The fact that a few other players looked more lost than you was a small comfort. You were starting to regret deciding to look for Chishiya, but you just had to see him, didn’t you?
The game started. Your heart was beating so fast it was a miracle your hands were not shaking. You were thinking how best to move your beads but with 10 other players it was very difficult to plan. The Queen, a beautiful woman with long auburn hair, was ruthless. She seemed to single out the weakest players, by the fifth turn she had taken out two. Three movements later you were down to two beads, but somehow you recovered one, and then another on the next round. And it suddenly hit you: Chishiya was helping you, he was keeping track of your beads and his own. He kept stealing glances at your side of the board, on one round the distraction cost him a bead.
‘You can’t split yourself, you’re good but you can’t play for both of us,’ you muttered as you passed by him on your next turn to move your beads.
‘Then don’t throw the game,’ he muttered back.
Three more players were out. A feeling of hopelessness was overtaking you. The Queen was sure to notice you were struggling. During the next round, before The Queen moved against you, Chishiya attacked her squares and lost another bead as a result. He stood beside you to wait for his next turn.
‘Don’t you dare let me win,’ you hissed at him.
He shook his head almost imperceptibly. ‘I think I know how we can win this game.’
‘How?’
‘Trust me. Follow my moves on the board. We’ll both make it out.’ He smirked. ‘Or we’ll both die here.’
‘Oh, that’s encouraging,’ you mumbled.
When it was your turn again, Chishiya mouthed one word: ‘Together.’
Together, you thought and nodded. Choosing to trust him, taking that blind leap of faith was hard. You understood you had to run a great risk, allowing yourself to become the bait to trap the Queen. It worked. You couldn’t quite believe it when the red laser appeared. The Queen was dead, you’d won.
‘Let’s go.’ Chishiya tilted his head towards the door.
Both of you walked outside without another word. You wanted to say something, like maybe why you had decided to look for him, or at the very least thank him for saving your life.
‘Thank you,’ he said, voicing your own thoughts.
‘What for?’
‘For trusting me.’
You nodded. ‘Thanks for not letting her kill me.’ That was good, you could have left it at that but you couldn’t stop yourself. ‘Was it hard for you to trust me, that I would do as you said? Is that why you didn’t do it at the Hearts game?’
Chishiya looked at you, his face unreadable. ‘I’m too used to being on my own, looking out for myself. It was strange, wanting to care for someone else. It felt out of character.’ The corner of his lips twitched.
‘You should do it more, this out-of-character thing, it’s oddly fitting.’
‘It didn’t even work, I didn’t help you back then.’
‘I appreciate the intention, now that I know it was there.’ You smiled and then looked away before he could see your face going red.
The two of you walked in companionable silence for a while, it felt natural, it would have been better if you didn’t have to worry about who you might run into.
‘This looks like a good place,’ Chishiya said, stopping suddenly and pointing at a building.
‘A good place?’ you asked, taking in the view. The building looked like it could have been a nice apartment complex once, not quite luxurious but comfortable, but half the windows were broken and the front door looked like it might crumble at any minute. ‘Are you sure?’
‘It is less likely anyone will want to get in here.’
‘You’re right about that, I don’t want to go in there.’
Chishiya took your hand. ‘Come on.’ You sighed loudly but followed him inside.
The inside of the building was somewhat more inviting than the outside. You found some food that was still edible and barricaded yourselves in an apartment on the top floor. You sat cross-legged on the bed eating, talking. Well, you did most of the talking but if his smile was any indication, Chishiya wasn’t having a bad time.
‘...and that’s the last thing I remember before this place.’ You yawned.
‘You’re tired, you should sleep.’ Chishiya observed.
You shook your head. ‘I just need to close my eyes for a minute.’ It was probably very late, it had been dark outside for a while; you’d used a flashlight but even it was going dimmer, its batteries running out. You didn’t want the night to end. In another life, in another universe maybe this could have been a date, and you could have said ‘good night’ without fear of what the next day would bring, here, it could be all you had. But just as you realized that, you also realized that trying to stay awake was no use, your eyes felt so heavy, you slid down the pillows and curled on your side. ‘I just wish the others are okay.’
‘They’re smart, they will be fine.’
The mattress dipped. You thought it must be Chishiya standing up, probably going to another room, but a second later you felt him lying down behind you, his arm around your waist, his chin resting somewhere above your head. He wasn’t exactly pressing himself against you, but you could still feel his warmth around you.
You could not suppress a giggle. ‘You don’t have to do this, you don’t like this.’
‘You do,’ he muttered. ‘And it’s not that bad.’
When you felt his breathing become deeper, more even, you whispered a question for which you didn’t expect a reply. ‘Does this mean you care?’
‘Maybe. But…’ Chisiya said in a sleepy voice, his arm tensing slightly around you.
‘But what?’ The question almost choked you.
Chishiya took his time to reply. ‘What if I can’t care about you, love you, the way you want?’
‘Then do it your way.’
‘And if it’s not enough?’
‘Let me be the judge of that.’ You took his hand and locked your fingers with his. ‘Chishiya? Go to sleep.’
The following morning you woke up, wondering if those whispered words had been a dream. Chishiya’s lips on the back of your neck told you that if that was the case, the two of you had dreamed the same thing. You would have liked nothing more than to sleep in, but just because things between you were changing, your present situation was still very much uncertain, with every Face Card hiding a deadly game. You knew Chishiya wanted to keep playing, he was set on finding out as much as he could about the games, the people behind them, you wouldn’t try to stop him, but you couldn’t join him either. You understood what you had to do.
When Chishiya woke up the sun was already high but he still took his time to peel himself away from you, reminding you of a cat demanding attention. You turned around and kissed the tip of his nose, he pulled you closer and brushed his lips against yours, teasing you and then kissed you hungrily, his hands slipping under your tank top. The distant sound of a gunshot made both of you come to your senses.
‘We should get going,’ Chishiya said, jumping out of bed. Other than an almost imperceptible hoarseness in his voice, he looked perfectly unaffected and as impassive as always. You could have rolled your eyes but you couldn’t deny you were amused.
The day went by without you running into trouble, you were careful, keeping an eye out for desperate players (or worse, the King of Spades). Even if you couldn’t fully relax, the day hadn’t been that bad because you were together. You saw where you were headed, and you prepared yourself.
You saw the blimp: the Jack of Hearts. It was hovering above a high security prison. You could only imagine what that game would entail. You let go of Chishiya’s hand prompting him to turn towards you.
‘I can’t do this.’ You shook your head and took a step back.
‘I won’t betray you.’
‘What if they really make us kill each other this time?’
Chishiya looked from you to the entrance. ‘Let’s go, we can find another game.’
The moment had come, you took a deep breath. ‘No. I think it’s better if we don’t play together. You can do this, win this game. But I can’t play a game with you if I don’t know that both of us can make it out. I will go look for the others.’
‘What if you get lost? Or worse.’
‘I’ll find you, I promise.’ You stood on tiptoe and kissed his lips lightly. ‘You go show them.’
He nodded and walked away but turned around to face you just before going in, you winked at him and blew him a kiss. You stood outside the prison entrance until he disappeared inside.
Playing the Face Card games without Chishiya was easier in a way. Not because the games weren’t difficult, they were brutal, but at least you didn’t have to worry about him. Also, you were no longer alone. You’d found Ann and Kuina, and you felt a huge weight off your chest. Kuina and you had laughed and cried and laughed again.
‘Where were you? What happened to you?’ Kuina asked you, wiping a tear from her face. ‘I thought maybe… the King of Spades…’
You shook your head. ‘I was there, I saw you getting into the car—’
‘We barely got away, and then we beat the King of Clubs, which was insane but Arisu and Usagi were great… Wait, you saw me? You were there? Did you see Chishiya?’
‘I… yeah, I found him.’
‘Why is he not with you, is he alright?’ Kuina looked around as if you might be hiding Chishiya behind your back.
‘He went into a Hearts game, I—’ you shook your head, unable to say why you hadn’t stayed with him. ‘He was fine, I’m sure he’s fine,’ you said, trying to sound as reassuring as you could, for Kuina’s sake and your own. ‘I am very happy to see you, Kuina. And you, Ann.’
Ann nodded. ‘Let’s get some Face Cards then.’
You had no way of knowing, but you could tell that Chishiya had made it out of the Jack of Hearts game. You had a feeling he’d go for a Diamonds game next, you could only wish him luck. Meanwhile, Kuina, Ann and you made a very effective team. You were even starting to consider the possibility that you might have a chance to… what? Win? Go back to the real world? Well, something. That sliver of hope made you try your best, push yourself as far as you could go to help Ann and Kuina and win. It should have come as no surprise then that you got injured, what you found surprising was that it wasn’t more serious, just a broken arm.
Fortunately—or unfortunately—there were two Face Cards left, the King of Spades and the Queen of Hearts. But judging by the sound of gunshots approaching, it didn’t look like you’d get a chance to decide which one to play first.
‘We need to stop the King of Spades,’ Ann said. You couldn’t agree more, but how?
While you were debating what to do, you ran into Arisu and Usagi, both of them looked shaken. ‘Niragi. He… he was shooting at us,’ Arisu explained. ‘He aimed at Usagi but Chishiya took the bullet and—’
‘What? Is he…’ you couldn’t bring yourself to say the word.
Usagi shook her head. ‘He’s alive, we left him back there, hidden behind a car.’ Usagi pointed to where they’d come from.
They were talking, planning how to take down the King of Spades, but you were no longer listening. You needed to find Chishiya, you would not forgive yourself if you didn’t; you had a broken arm anyway, you wouldn’t be of much help to Arisu and the others.
‘We could use this,’ Kuina was saying when you tuned back into the conversation. She took what appeared to be a soda can with wires out of her pocket. You couldn’t help but look in the direction Usagi had indicated. You hadn’t even noticed when Aguni and a girl carrying a bow had joined the group.
‘Go,’ Kuina said to you when the others were suggesting final details for the plan. ‘Make sure he’s fine, I’ll find you when this is done.’ You hugged her tight and ran towards him.
His white jacket was the first thing you spotted, a red stain all the more obvious in the light color.
‘Chishiya!’ You knelt by his side, careful not to move him. You wanted to throw your arms around him but in his condition, and with your broken arm, it was out of the question.
‘You found me.’
‘I said I would.’
‘Arisu and the others?’
‘They’re trying to stop that sociopath with the guns. Kuina had some sort of explosive device, your invention, I presume?’ you asked to keep him conscious, distracted from the pain.
He snorted and closed his eyes. You touched his cheek, brushing a strand of silver hair away from his face. ‘Don’t you dare. Either we both make it out or we both die here, right? Well, I’m not dying and neither are you.’
You could hear gunshots and indistinct yelling in the distance and you could not help tears running down your face. There was no way your friends were unharmed, but how bad was it? When you heard the explosion and saw the blimp burning down you felt little relief.
‘One card left,’ you muttered. But was there anyone left to play that game, whatever it was?
Night had fallen. You had fallen asleep at some point, some caretaker you were, you woke up with your head on Chishiya’s shoulder. Fireworks lit up the sky. Did that mean…?
The familiar robotic voice was asking the remaining players whether they would accept citizenship and remain in the Borderland. Chishiya and you looked at each other and nodded.
‘I want… to turn it down… I think,’ he said.
‘Me, too.’ A shiver ran down your spine. ‘Do you think we will go back to the real world?’ you asked Chishiya.
‘Maybe.’
‘If we go back…’
‘I’ll find you.’
He took your hand, and then everything turned black.

Intrigued
Requested by anonymous: Hi!! If you're taking request, can I ask if you can write a one shot of Chishiya x female reader, wherein she has a dreadful personality like Wednesday Addams? Her personality is what caught his attention. And they like, met in a spades game (Cause it's my favorite specialty) probably 9 of spades, where him Kuina, and powerful executives like Ann, Aguni, and Niragi was there too? And when Chishiya saw her, she looked calmer and bored that made him too curious about her? Oh and the girl knows how to fight like Kuina, only difference is that reader is emotionless while fighting. It's okay if you don't though, I just want the idea of having a reader that's not too emotional. Thank you in advance 💕
Pairing: Shuntaro Chishiya x fem!reader
Word Count: 1.2k words
Warnings: cursing
A/N To be clear, I don't really know if this is "Wednesday Addams". To me, it was more just emotionless reader, I hope that is okay :) Also, this is not really romantically so sorry if you wanted that... If you want that, I will make a part 2, but it will have to wait for a couple of weeks.
"Defeat the other team." The phone chimed loudly before colors showed up on the screen. Chishiya held his up and sighed when he saw that the others from the Beach had the same color. Aguni, Ann, Kuina were okay but Niragi..? He looked around again, finding the other three people who were supposed to be on their team since the whole group was with 16. Two men and a girl, although the boys seemed glad to be on Niragi's team while the girl just stared ahead without any emotion. The phone chimed again, telling them to move to their locations and everyone moved. Chishiya looked your way again, trying to figure out why you were not reacting at all.
"Let's just kill those motherfuckers." Niragi spoke, letting his gun rest on his shoulders as he looked at Aguni for some kind of approval.
"That's the point of the game, yes." You replied and suddenly all eyes were on you, but your gaze didn't change. Not even when Niragi's gun was pushed towards your face nor when the shot rang from the gun, the bullet lodging into the wall beside you.
"Hit the people later, not the walls." You said before walking off as the sound rang, making your way to the center of the arena and trying to find the other team. Chishiya followed, wanting to see how you would fight. Kuina followed too, her knife in hand to protect herself. One person showed up, a man of 40 years old or so, and he lunged at you. Chishiya watched you grab the man's back, turning him around before wrapping your arms around the man's neck. You pulled before twisting it sideways, ignoring the loud snap before letting the man go. He fell down with a thud and you sighed before turning around to face the two people behind you.
"Are you staying there?" You asked and Chishiya turned to Kuina, clearly confused and so was the woman. Both turned back to you and Kuina shook her head before walking closer.
"That was cool! Where did you learn to do that?" Kuina asked, smiling at you and you shrugged at her.
"A few different styles, I don't really think about it." You answered, your voice monotone and yet full of emotion in a way. Chishiya was confused.
"Game cleared!" A loud voice boomed through the arena and you looked up before turning to the pair behind you. Giving them a short nod, you walked off and left the arena. Kuina turned the Chishiya with a surprised face.
"She's weird like you..." She commented and Chishiya scoffed, pushing his hands in his pockets before walking off. Kuina was quick to catch up with the shorter male.
"Isn't that..?" Kuina paused, pointing her finger at a figure in the distance. Chishiya had noticed you minutes ago, eyes trained on what you were doing. He didn't think you were at the Beach, but you were quickly looked over due to the fact that you never seemed to react to anything. He nodded at Kuina, forcing her hand down with the comment that it was rude to point at someone. Kuina just rolled her eyes in response. She didn't waste any time as she sprinted your way, greeting you with a bright smile. You didn't return it, seemingly not caring much for the conversation you were having with the girl. Chishiya could see that you were attentively listening, however, your eyes focused on Kuina even though you didn't smile. So he joint the conversation, listening as Kuina asked the question that he had been wondering about for awhile.
"Do I see emotionless? Well, I guess if you look at it in some perspective. I find emotions quite a bother, honestly. Especially in a world like this, were it is be killed or kill. Crying and guilting yourself in who you've killed will just slow us down. It is better to not care at all." You explained it and Chishiya couldn't agree more. You were alike, you and him. Only difference is that he cared to some extent, but you clearly didn't.
"Kuina!" A voice called out and Kuina excused herself, happily joining her other friends for a small drink and such, while Chishiya remained by your side.
"Chishiya Shuntaro, right?" You asked and Chishiya nodded, leaning against the railing as he let his eyes wander over the pool party.
"What's your specialty?" Chishiya asked and you seemed to pause, thinking about it for a bit before replying with Hearts and Diamonds, but Spades were also fine for you.
"No club games?" "Co-operation with people isn't my thing, people are too emotional during such games and I don't like to depend on others." You explained and Chishiya seemed to agree, nodding before turning around and watching the games in the distant.
"Isn't that why you manipulate others? Like Arisu?" You suddenly spoke and Chishiya looked to you, a small smirk appearing on his face.
"I wouldn't call it manipulating... More like guiding in a certain direction." "That's called manipulation." You replied, somehow your voice seemed to be teasing him instead of the usual boring tone you had. Your face didn't change, however, so Chishiya assumed that it was just a figment of his imagination.
Fire engulfed the whole building, smoke rising up to the ceiling and covered everything in a dark cloud. You couldn't help but cough loudly, trying to not inhale the smoke as you made your way through the halls. The gun in your hand had been emptied, the bullets were buried deep in the bodies of the militants that you came across of.
"You!" A voice called out, a man ran your way with a knife in hand. Sighing loudly, you got ready to fight.
The man lunged at you, knife aimed at your neck and more particularly at your arteries. You quickly stepped backwards, grabbing his wrist and pulling him harshly. The man stumbled and you took the opportunity to knee him in the guts, making the man drop the knife. You caught it mid-air and turned it in your hand before forcefully pressing it into his chest, right in between his ribs and into his heart and lung. You heard the man gasp for air before groaning loudly in pain as he tried to get away from you, unsuccessfully of course. With a final push, he went down with a thud and you looked at the body for a few seconds.
When you looked up, Chishiya stood at the end of the hall with Kuina behind him. His eyes moved to the blood on your hand before going to the man at your feet, clearly impressed.
"Come on." You didn't let him speak as you started walking, passing by them and following exit lights to find the exit. The other followed and Kuina was the one to push the door open, exiting the building and you followed quickly. Chishiya stayed inside, however, and you looked back in a bit of confusion (although you didn't show it).
"What are you doing?" "I have something to do." Chishiya commented before walking off, leaving you and Kuina behind.
"Is he always that stubborn?" You turned to Kuina and she just gave you a look of annoyance.
"Trust me, this is nothing..."

My AIB S2 Review
okay everyone, i had to take some time to write this out because it was only getting longer and longer the more i watched s2.
now, i did read the manga before s2 came out so i already knew what was going to happen, so naturally, this will contain major manga spoilers!!! i do love this show and manga very much it is my number 1 manga but i thought a review could be enlightening to some.
i will be going in episode order to make it easier
episode 1:
i thought episode 1 was pretty good actually. the first scene being the same scene from season 1 was a good touch to remember how arisu was before being sent to borderland and getting a small refresher. the king of spades intro was good, it was dramatic for the first person dying and i thought the actors did great on the whole car chase scene as well. also ann was amazing for driving i love her. i don't really have a lot to talk about this episode to be honest but i think the intro for king of clubs was great. though, i wish niragi was a little more fucked up looking? he looks pretty bad in the manga when they first meet him at the venue for king of clubs but dori does an amazing job portraying niragi. i also enjoyed the cast's reaction to kyuma being naked because i would react the same too.
episode 2:
starting the king of clubs. to be honest, i think it was both good and bad they took 2 1/2 eps to do the king of clubs. good for people who are willing to understand the opposing team more and feel more emotion, bad for people who just want the game to be fun and see people die. i do wish yamashita would've had more...expressions? kyuma is often seen smiling in the manga and while yes, i think he was still portrayed more, a smile or two might've been nice. i think king of clubs personally was the best adapted game in season 2 excluding the queen of hearts. i really liked the band members on kyuma's side too they were all really cool.
episode 3:
episode 3 i really enjoyed. i liked the flashback for tatta being foreshadowing to what will happen to him in the king of clubs game. as always, i really liked kento's acting when tatta died. also, i enjoyed the parallels to season 1 ep 3 when karube and chota died. i think kento did an amazing job for expressing his sadness even if arisu didn't know tatta for that long, he was still a friend, and naturally, people would cry with situations like this. i really liked kyuma's last words as well to arisu. very motivating. also his death was cool.
second half of episode 3. the jack of hearts. when i first saw the images/trailer with chishiya in the jack of hearts, i was worried they would ruin the whole aspect of the game. and while really, chishiya didn't change anything about the game, they did take out some parts from the manga that i'm disappointed didn't make the cut. for example, enji being a hypnotist and hypnotizing kotoko into everything she does and believing he won because of him thinking he was superior to the players. i think hayato did a great job as banda, he definitely gave off a good creepiness to the character that you're supposed to feel even as a viewer just by the way he stares. again, chishiya being there was weird. urumi was also portrayed amazingly i really loved her more even if she was only in one ep she was great.
episode 4:
i don't have a lot to talk about this ep really. the end of jack of hearts was...eh. to be honest, removing enji's whole inner dialogue with himself and removing the fake eye aspect were the things that made me wish were included because it could've been so much better. chishiya...was good i guess. i mean, he's not a hearts player, he's a diamonds player, so why would he join the jack of hearts? i don't fucking know. it felt like he was almost given plot armor from the writers and just made him have a "feeling" enji was the jack. also, the snacks bags communication was stupid in my opinion. it would've been much better if they kept him being a hypnotist instead. other than that, i think it was done pretty good. the second half of ep 4 was good too even if there was only a little bit of action with the king of spades. though it's weird to me what things the makers of the show chose to take from the manga and what not to, but i'll discuss more of that later. i did however, think it was funny how arisu ran into aguni and heiya. i really believed we would get doudou (manga only character) and it worried me about the dynamics that would be created and change by adding arisu into the mix instead of doudou. and i was right to be worried.
episode 5:
alright, ep 5. so, heiya is my favorite character in this series. reading the manga i was so excited to see if they would include her and when i saw the first picture of her in the adaptation i was so happy. what made me even happier was seeing the seven of spades aka her first game. reading it hit like a truck, but it was so good. that's how it felt watching it too. i'm glad we got at least one scene of her before being sent to borderland and her mentioning her mother. while it wasn't told in the adaptation, heiya just appears to have some issues with her mom. well, the manga definitely puts more thought into heiya's character as a whole just by her first appearance in the side chapter 37.1. it's shown that she has quite the broken family. with her father constantly at work, her mother would bring back affairs to the house and tell heiya to not tell her father which started the hate against her mother. the adaptation just didn't even bother with that i guess. we were lucky enough to even see the seven of spades honestly.
now, as i said, heiya is my favorite character. but i believe they just didn't get her right. i love every bit of yuri's performance as heiya and she did phenomenal, but i personally think they could've done more to show her character more. i do like that they kept her "everything i do is for the future" talk so at least they got that right. to me, i see heiya and aguni as a father-daughter duo, especially in the show. in the manga with doudou included in the trio and not arisu, he even says they are like a family. but we got basically none of that. i'll say it, arisu shouldn't have been included in the trio. i think it would've been better if they had even just brought a brand new character to join heiya and aguni instead of dragging a main character into the games where they aren't supposed to be. much like with chishiya in the jack of hearts. the side characters deserve their spotlight, and i think the show was too determined to make sure that they had at least one main character in every game for season 2. i didn't like that. sure, arisu gave some comedic relief in the ep but...yeah.
queen of spades was pretty cool. for it getting a lot of screen time without it being in the manga was interesting seeing as many of the others were just clips from them. the game is basically advanced tag with taking turns involved. the set was really cool though and it was awesome how they were moving around to get to others faster. usagi's speech was a little too long but it got the job done like always so i can't complain when she does great at everything. the queen was good, too.
episode 6:
second half of queen of spades. i thought the fight between usagi and lisa was amazing and fun knowing both actresses did the stunts themselves making it appear more real when they get hit. the kid was there for what seemed like no reason though but i understand why lisa chose him as their teams king since he was just a kid and couldn't do anything, it was a smart move on her behalf that very easily could've made her win if not for usagi. overall, i thought it wasn't too bad for a show only game.
onto the king of diamonds. when i saw kuzuryu in the trailer at the venue for king of diamonds with his pose, i was so happy knowing they would do it. while i don't understand the rules pretty much at all because i suck at anything math related, it was very interesting. i'm glad they did it but upset by what they did with chishiya and his backstory. in the manga, he's not even a full doctor, he's still a med student. the show practically changed his entire backstory for ultimately no reason at all. we didn't get to see him as a child who was neglected all his life which resulted in him becoming the way he is, and we didn't see how he actually was in the manga. they basically dumbed him down to just some sarcastic "unbothered" character when he's far from it. nijiro did amazing as chishiya i really love him and how he did portray him even if it wasn't the same as he is in the manga. i am surprised that they did show a flashback for kuzuryu to understand his thoughts better and why he made his game fair. overall, i really liked king of diamonds and am so glad they decided to keep it in.
episode 7:
this episode was...definitely something. the first half battle royale between niragi, arisu, and chishiya was good, not as great as it could've been along the lines of dialogue, but still good. i didn't think they would keep this honestly. but i was so happy that they did. while chishiya's words weren't the same and didn't have as much impact as the manga in my opinion, i believed it was still pretty damn good. this is also me just being grateful it made it to the final cut.
king of spades. now, i cannot express how unbelievably irritated i was at this whole thing. for one, they basically erased all of shirabi's (the king) thoughts and feelings on how he believed he was giving the players mercy by killing them. we barely got the flashback of him killing his fellow solider and i was annoyed they just made him out to be the bad guy who just liked killing others.
as for the rest of the ep, i was extremely disappointed. i thought that maybe because they would change the king of spades maybe they could have it equal the manga in terms of how the group would defeat him, but no. there was no tracker shirabi had that heiya shot and broke. there was no shirabi burning down the forest and causing the others to venture back into tokyo. it was just so different that it made me hate the king of spades game as a whole for the show. i love love the king of spades in the manga because the trio of doudou, heiya, and aguni were able to do it alone by themselves. but apparently in the show even all of them couldn't defeat him nor could a fucking bomb. they basically just obliterated half of the cast for no good reason except to fuck with people and that alone was irritating. i didn't think they could fuck up the king of spades so bad and then they did.
for personal reasons, i will pretend ep 7 doesn't exist.
episode 8:
everything i hoped for. this was the best ep in my opinion. mira crying was especially interesting to see after usagi and arisu's little moment with one another. people said this ep dragged on and was boring but i thought it was excellent. riisa did a great job at being mira and i just fell in love with the character even more after watching this. i liked that they showed the meteorite hitting them and that they stuck with the manga ending. but, the joker card. personally, i would be perfectly happy with the series ending where it's supposed to. but if they do a s3 of sorts i will probably still tune in. i understand why they did that instead of showing the joker like the manga, but i would rather it just ending. but, a little disappointing they didn't show arisu drinking the tea beforehand and that's why he's believing what mira was saying because i really enjoy the panels where she talks about the tea being a hallucinogenic and causing him to freak out. but, i can't complain too much.
overall:
i thought s2 was still amazing even if there were some downs that i didn't like, i still love this show and manga to death. i was happy with it as a whole product and thought it was still brilliant and i am so glad to have seen this become a adaption and have so many people watching it when it went viral on twitter in multiple countries, the hours viewed are amazingly high compared to last season, and just the general reaction to it. i'm very thankful for the actors who were able to participate in this show and the director. it was truly amazing and i will most definitely continue rewatching over and over again.
