inspiration:  it honestly varies a bit muse to muse. Music tends to be one, some literature, some past muses i've written of similar mindsets,

story behind url: Chishiya and Ann are both diamond players, and they're known for being sharp in terms of intelligence (albeit can be with words too). And then, well, diamonds are a suit of cards. Slapped an e on there because the other was taken. Although it ironically works given both are executives at the Beach and a suite can also refer to a group of people serving a monarch or people of high rank (Hatter in this case. Even if Chishiya's was for his own goals)

fun fact about me: ...I've spontaneously forgotten everything about myself. But I used to do chess competitions before I stopped when we moved. I'm also a HUGE mythology nerd of various regions mythologies.

Heya. So um... I got a question. Which character you fell in love the most? Maxime Le Mal (Despicable Me 4) or Ronaldo (Helluva Boss) or maybe both of them? If someone already asked you that question, that's fine

oh...forgive me, you made me think about Maxime Le Mal and Rolando at the same time, and i think my brain blanked out for a second 🥴💖 what were we talking about? 🙈🙈

my first response to this excellent question is: why would i ever pit two bad bitches against each other? 🥰💖 i adore both characters in different ways for different reasons but i think trying to figure out which one i love 'more' is a bit like that 'two cakes' comic. it's less about one cake being better than the other - i'm just like, 'Holy shit! Two cakes!' 😂💖

however, this is an interesting pair as they have a lot of similarities to each other!! both older, fancily-dressed villains wearing tinted glasses (why is it always the tinted glasses?! 😖) who spend a great deal of time trying to cause distress to their targets and who are hiding a sexy monstrous form 😉 equally funny - the second i saw both of them in their respective trailers, i knew i was doomed. sometimes you just see a character and hear the autistic equivalent of the Kill Bill siren, you know? 😭💖

if we're going by a 'how ill is this guy making you' metric, i can confirm that i've done very little but think about our new favourite eel fellow for the past few days...and Maxime had me in a similar 'can't think about anything else' grip 🙈 a lot of my character fixations can be put on a spectrum somewhere between brief crush and Category 5 Autism Event, with the closeness to the latter being determined by 'how much have you talked about them', 'how many fanworks have you created in a short period of time', and 'how severely are they reducing your functioning' 😂 i think the absolute worst i've had over the past year or so were the Toymaker (i have never made that amount of fanworks for a character so quickly) and Nordic Bunny (i forgot to eat 💀💀). but!! i hold all of my beloved characters close to my heart even if they were just teeny-tiny little fixations, or if they're characters of fixations past...if something makes you happy even a little bit, i think they're just as worthy as the things which make you really happy too :3c

So, I finally read the ending of MHA, and re-read the couple of chapters before and I must say it has left me feeling one thing…✨unfulfilled✨ that ending was unfulfilling!

It felt really rushed and unanswered, there was so many plot points that were just…unanswered! Izuku’s guilt and trauma seemed to be barely mentioned or even acknowledged, and we can see he’s STILL keeping some things from his classmates(I get they don’t need to know everything but there’s the whole idea of not bottling it up hello 👋)! Ochaco never ends up acknowledging or confessing her feelings towards Izuku or vice versa, which to be honest it was mostly on Ochaco’s side but even then nothing. Even though I can’t lie I like that we had no romance or ship confirmation, at least it has ended in a way where you can interpret it in many ways. Also Ochaco is her own character, not simply a love interest so not necessarily upset! Izuku’s father is clearly not important that’s as obvious as hell 😂 man never made an appearance, and apparently there is talks of Hori forgot all about him but not 100% sure on that piece of information(seems kind of likely tho 😅 or he just doesn’t care). I don’t even want to talk about Shigaraki and Toga 😭💔!

Bakugou’s arc I felt finished in a good way, but again I am still left feeling unfulfilled on some things evolving around him and Izuku. So, we learn that Bakugou put a lot of his savings into Izuku’s new suit during the final chapter(as did the whole class), and we have Bakugou once again reflecting on his past bullying. I feel his guilt over the bullying also may have played a role in him doing what he can to help Izuku getting that suit. However, we have no thought process on Bakugou’s death or even his apology, we don’t know what Izuku felt about the apology or how Bakugou’s short-term death affected him? Like obviously we can see in the moment it happened Izuku was affected, but the aftermath of that? Izuku’s thoughts on the apology? I guess it is up to us to assume he’s forgiven him, and he most likely has but I feel that was something that should have been touched upon. Except it wasn’t touched upon at all, this is like with Shouto and his father!

The Todoroki family conclusion was….very Endeavor focused 🙄 which isn’t necessarily awful, but like he took up so much of that conclusion were left with so many unanswered questions and thoughts! Like Shouto hardly spoke nor did we even hear his inner thoughts, and it’s really upsetting because we don’t know anything. What are his feelings? How is he coping after the war? His feelings on his brother? His father? We don’t know if he’s proud of his father, or if he’s disappointed, whether he’s forgiven him or not and what does he feel about his father retirement? The relationship between Shouto and his mother has truly been ruined for me, and is it for petty reasons? Yeah probably but it’s the way it’s been handled…Hori started Shouto’s journey with wanting to save his mother, and showed she held importance to Shouto. We see that Shouto holds his mother dear, and yet their first reunion in the hospital was not explored, the second is off-screened in favour of Enji’s blubbering face AND then when we have Shouto reiterating Rei’s very words back to her. The words that helped him in his dark days, and her response to that was….to be happy for Enji because hey his sidekicks are there and Hawks has texted him! No acknowledgment to her son, and this is the son she labelled the “family hero” a huge burden to put on your youngest child just support for Enji! It’s just ruined the relationship for me a bit, and I’m not the only one with this critique others have pointed it out.

It’s also pleasing to know that the Japanese side had this critique too! We have Endeavor stating he was going to retire, and that he is going to atone and keep at-

Like perfect 👌 it’s not like we don’t know this already, it’s something you’ve told us over and over. How about we hear from other family members?? Oh wait we do, we hear that Rei and Fuyumi want to talk to Touya too perfect 🤩 but I wanted more! I mean admittedly we know he’s going to keep atoning but him and Touya hadn’t had that conversation, but still 🙃 why did we need to re-enforce that Enji is going to keep atoning?! We know this! The positives for the conclusion to me is the soba, Touya apologising to Shouto and Enji accepting Natsuo’s no-contact! I was truly happy Natsuo went that route!

I just want to clarify that I don’t think it was necessary wrong for it to be so Endeavor focused, his points and character arc needed to be completed there’s no denying that. Him and Touya needed this talk too, and more but I feel like the others were over shadowed a bit! I mean we don’t even have Natsuo acknowledging Touya, the brother he’s supposedly closest too 🙃 I felt it could have been fixed if we had the Todoroki conclusion based over two chapters!(another reason why Hori should have had at least 10 more chapters to finish this instead of cramming it into 5)

Adult Shouto is so handsome, but no surprise there really! I’m so goddamn glad long hair shouto is DEAD 😌 sorry if you loved the long haired ponytail Shouto, I was always hoping he would not grow his hair long! He is being called Endeavor’s son less and less 😌 that’s good slowly creeping out of that man’s shadow! I’m so glad it seems like he didn’t take his father’s hero name, that theory was my nightmare! Also despite my complaints about the Todofam’s conclusion, I do like the idea that we can see Shouto has his friends to lean on and to gain comfort and love from! We also know he is heading towards being who he wants to be! I also did like how Shouto was the one who asked Touya about himself, instead of just talking at Touya!

Why is Enji STILL being pushed around on that wheelchair by Rei?? Like are you truly incapable of doing it yourself man 💀 it’s electric:

It’s literally a electric wheelchair, there is no need for Rei to being pushing him around 😭 I mean my mother said I could look at it as a way of her taking back her power but dude should be doing it himself! Oh I want to backtrack to the whole Bakugou’s apology - Enji’s apology agenda, we have seen, heard their inner guilt and seen them express their guilt/their sorry’s to their victims but AGAIN it’s not touched upon for their victims! We don’t hear Shouto’s response or inner thoughts on his fathers apology, like yes we know Shouto was not sure if he could forgive but he was watching to see what type of father Enji could be. However, we don’t know his feelings over the apology neither the one in the hospital or his final one, and with Izuku we hear absolutely nothing of his inner thoughts on Bakugou’s apology or nor does he give a genuine response to that apology- a verbal one at least!

The biggest BIGGEST sin of the whole story:

Quite literally is this coffin dodger still fucking breathing! Do wish we had more hero deaths in this final war, and I mean heroes of importance not some side show character no one emotionally cares about!

The appearance of that new guy, who was saved by the granny who didn’t help Tenko felt kinda pointless(though it clearly wasn’t). However I guess he was to show that hey look society is getting better, and we’re to look at this ending and see things are getting better which sure I can sort of see that I guess.

So we still have quirkism 😂 the whole “you can’t be a hero with that quirk” “only strong people with strong quirks can” talks! Honestly, he’s that adorable kid in that one scene 🥺 he was a cutie patootie!

The ranking thing still exists 😔 I was hoping it would be abolished, but oh well it is what it is!

Onto more positive things now ☺️ I do love this colour spread:

Look at them all smiling 😭 and Aoyama is still with them, which also in the spread of them all as pro-heroes Aoyama is with them! And for that I’m really happy 😊 he may have had to join them at a slightly later date but he’s with them so I’m happy!

Bakugou’s face as he works on his arm therapy 😂🤣 he always is so angry or at least he has an angry face! The others cheer him on though!

I’m upset that we never got to see Shouto eating soba with Touya, but I’m also happy for the ending to be left ambiguous. I mean obviously we are told he is slowly dying, but giving there was no confirmation of his passing or a grave stone. I’m free to pretend that he somehow manages to live on, and heal in some kind of way.

Lastly, it was definitely unfulfilling for me personally, there were things I liked but not enough to make me feel satisfied 😔. It felt rushed and unanswered on some plot points, and whether that’s to Horikoshi being just fed up with the story that he wanted it done or he was being pushed to finish it faster I don’t know. It’s just a bit disappointing, especially when I feel like many plot points could have been cleared up if he had made it 10 more chapters to finish not 5. However, I still love the series for the journey it has given me, it’s been my first manga I have ever completed so it will be dear in my heart. I started as an anime only, but I soon picked up the manga and well here I am! It’s been a hell of a ride, and I’m glad I got involved with it all even if sometimes the discourse made me want to scream 😂🤣!

"So I just put in anything?"

"Yea basically anything you want to try, to do with your prospect partner. If somebody thinks it's interesting, then they pick it. Totally anonymous. If you don't like the person who picked your note then you can just pass" Ryujin explains while she hands you a piece of paper and a pen

"But what if somebody said the same thing as me" you ask

"Hasn't happened before, believe me you're about to hear the weirdest shit tonight"

"So what do I put?"

"I don't know, your dream place to do it" she jokes

"And I don't have to say it's from me right?"

"Yep, totally anonymous"

Do it in an expensive car.

You wrote it down as a joke, no one will know it was you and you didn't really mean it. Pinning the note on the board, taking one last look at it before walking to the refreshments table.

College parties are like Friday night staple. It would be weirder if you stay home instead of going out and potentially die alcohol poisoning. The funny thing is everyone's schedule intersects with one another, meaning if it's exam season you won't hear a single stereo blasting at any of the usual party dorms. But best believe once exams are over, you'll see atleast one or two passed out student at some random doorstep.

"Did you write yours?" Ryujin asks, appearing again beside you

"Yep"

She looks at you with a smirk, not expecting you to actually do it. "Didn't know you had it in you"

"You say it like it's a scary cult initiation" you mumble

"No no no totally not, I mean look at Minjeong and Jaemin. They met through that"

"They did not"

"They did"

"What did she write?"

"Some very cute cliche scene only Na Jaemin can pull off. She kinda did write it with him in mind so in a way it worked out for them" she shrugs, pointing the beer can she was holding towards Minjeong and Jaemin who looked like they were lost in their own world.

"And you? Have you every tried?"

"Yep, landed a few dates with Jung Sungchan last semester"

"That's how that happened? I thought you met at the gym or something"

"Definitely not, said I wanted to make out in the radio booth. He was the university radio DJ at the time" she laughs at your reaction, "How about you, what did you write?"

"Probably will never happen"

"Why? What did you write, tell me" she pulls on your arm dramatically

"Because we're a bunch of college students and I doubt someone here drives an expensive car"

"Why? What do you need the car for?" it takes her a second before she squeals and hit you on the arm a couple of times

"You little minx! You did not!"

"It's a joke, like I said as if someone drives an expensive car around here and if by some miracle they do I don't have to reveal who I am"

As the night went on, you kind of forgot about that whole thing. Ryujin kept on passing shots to you, by the end of the night you're sure you won't make it past the front steps but you tried anyways. It's getting to stuffy for you inside. As expected, you took exactly two steps from the door when you tripped on your feet, landing on the floor with a loud thug.

Too drunk, you just giggled instead of standing up. Not noticing someone was standing behind you.

"Are you just going to sit there?" someone spoke from behind you

"I'm just waiting for the world to stop spinning for a second"

"Sweetheart, if the world stopped spinning for a second we'll all be fucked"

"At least some of us will be" you laughed, looking up behind you to see who it was. "Holy shit, you're hot"

The mystery dude lets out a laugh, "thank you, but can you move aside first then we can talk angel"

"Jeno, quit flirting for a second. We need to drive Minjeong back" someone behind the hot dude, whose name you think is Jeno, said

"What are you doing there anyways, who- wait I know you. Y/N?" at the mention of your name, Minjeong's head popped up from the back. Now you notice was Jaemin speaking,

"You know each other?" Jeno asks, Minjeong immediately stepping forward to help you up and Jaemin following his girlfriend

"Yes, she's my friend. Hey are you okay? Where's Ryujin"

"Sucking faces with Sungchan, I think. I'm not sure" you answer, leaning sideways making you stumble a bit. This time Jeno catches you before you dive down the floor again.

"I can't just leave here here, I need to find Ryujin"

"I think she's busy, didn't you hear what she just said. Hate to ruin somebody's night" Jeno said, looking down at you

"And she's three seconds away from completely passing out. Do you where she lives?" Jeno asks Minjeong "Yea"

"Okay, we can drop her off first then we'll drive you back"

Jeno had other plans for tonight but it looks like it has to wait. It will eat him alive if he leaves a drunk girl alone at a party like this. He knows a lot of the guys in the frat house but of course he can't vouch for the rest of the campus, that's not a risk he's willing to take.

The trio helped you get back to your dorm, Minjeong getting the keys in your pocket and tucking you in bed while the two boys wait in the living room.

"You met someone tonight?" Jaemin asks his bestfriend

"Nope"

"Why not just give the note wall a try? Who know you might find a girl for you there" Jaemin says, for a second his eyes looking where Minjeong disappeared with you

"You're one of the lucky ones, most of those you even try that game ends up with a one night stand or find themselves in an arrangement of some kind" Jeno counters

"And?"

"Not what I'm looking for. Just here to be the chauffer for the night. Don't know why you're grilling me about my lovelife" Jeno answers sarcastically, making Jaemin laugh.

"Sorry, didn't know it was a touchy subject"

"You don't look sorry" Jeno snarks back

"Nope, can't say I can relate"

Another week has passed and you've completely forgotten about the note you wrote. Not until Ryujin came bursting through the study halls doors looking for you. When she spotted you, she made a dash for it.

"Girl I think someone got your note!"

"Huh? What note?"

"At the party!"

You needed a few seconds to understanded what she was saying before it clicked.

"Wait what? how did you know?"

"I saw a very expensive looking car drive by when I was walking out the gym"

You rolled your eyes at her statement, "And it didn't occur to you it might have been a professor or someone's parent?"

"Oh"

"Yeah oh, besides we're not even sure if someone took my note" you tell her

"Someone did" "Say what?"

"Someone did take your note, at the party. I left later than you, and a lot less drunk. I went to read some of the other notes but the one mentioning an expensive car wasn't there" she tells you

A few outcomes already playing in your head but you shrug them off. Remembering you don't have to reveal yourself.

"Also Lee Jeno is looking over here"

"Who?"

"Lee Jeno, Jaemin's bestfriend. Anyways I need to go, I'm running late for my next class. Guess I got excited over nothing. See you later, bye" then she was off again.

Looking behind to check who was looking, there's only one person looking at your direction. He made eye contact with you, tilting his head a bit to the side like he was waiting for something but you just looked forward again returning to your original position.

Jeno chuckles to himself, you probably don't remember him. So he packed his stuff, walking towards your table before taking the vacant seat infront of you.

Surprise written all over your face, because one you've never met this guy and number two he's probably one of the most attractive dude you've ever seen.

"Uh can I help you?" you ask him

"You can start with a thank you" he answers

"Excuse me? Why?"

"Ah so you don't remember. Well sweetheart, I was the one who drove you home last Friday. Not that I expect you to remember" he chuckles

"Minjeong said she took me home"

"Yea, with Jaemin. Using my car. Technically I drove all of you home"

"Oh"

Again he just stared at you, raising a brow at you

"Oh right, thank you" you mumble

"No worries. Just glad to see you alive after that, I bet the hangover wasn't as fun"

"I was begging all the gods to take the headache away or atleast blow my brains off, that would've been an easier way to take me out"

He let out a laugh, you're not so different sober. You're still as funny as he remembers from the only interaction he had with you.

"I didn't say anything embarrassing right?" you asked, eyes suddenly opening a bit wider. You don't fully trust yourself sober, much less when you're drunk.

"No, you were knocked out the whole ride back"

"Oh thank god"

"But you did call me hot, thanks for that again" suddenly you feel all of the blood rush to your cheeks and your hands suddenly got clammy. Did the room suddenly dropped a few degrees colder but also the air feels hotter.

"I didn't, tell me I didn't" you let your head fall on the table while Jeno just smiles down at you, enjoying every second of this.

"I did say we can continue that conversation later, how about we get some lunch or coffee after your last class?" he ask

"You're having too much fun with this conversation" you mumbled, not really giving him an answer

"I enjoy looking at pretty things" he answered without missing a beat, taking note of the way his gaze never left the side of your face.

"You wouldn't be here if Minjeong didn't make you drive me home"

"False. I was the one who found you sitting by the door, I wasn't going to leave a drunk girl alone like that"

"What, you bring them home instead?" you ask, this time looking straight at him

"I'm sensing very judgmental vibes from you right now, all I was asking was if you wanted to grab lunch"

"That was a no, bet you never heard of that before" you mumbled under your breath but he heard you anyways. You gather your stuff, ready to leave and finish this interaction.

"Dinner then?"

"So you're that type of guy who can't take no for an answer, good to know"

He lets out a chuckle, standing up from his seat too. This time he's towering over you, "I was being courteous, I'll take my leave now before you psychoanalyze me. Guess I'll see you around" he smiles then walks away.

Another week passed by, another Friday party to attend. If you're being honest, most of the time you come to these parties against your will. Like tonight, Ryujin wouldn't let you go home after your last class. Insisting you can get ready over at her place before the party. So here you are.

"If you want to spy on Sungchan, you can just say so" you tell her, finding it a bit funny how she keeps on looking around for him

"I'm not looking for him"

"Oh really, cause he just walked in" that made Ryujin look behind her, scowling back at you when she didn't see the aforementioned guy

"Just kidding, he's outside. I just saw him like five minutes ago being dragged by Dery so if I were you, I'd go there before he gets too drunk" she shoots you a smile before walking towards the back door, leaving you alone by yourself.

You followed short after, it was getting a bit crowded inside so you decided to get some fresh air. You're enjoying you're drink by yourself when suddenly someone whispers by your ear

"I know your secret"

That made you whirl around, ready to slam the dude. Only to find Jeno laughing to himself, eyes disappearing as he smile

"Dude what the fuck is wrong with you"

"Sorry, you looked too serious and too alone" holding his hands up before standing beside you. Resting his hip on the fence, facing you instead of facing forward like you were doing

"What are you doing here?" you ask him

"It's a party" he shrugs

"No, I mean here Jeno. What are you doing here" you gesture between the two of you

"Oh, well like I said I saw you alone so I here I am. And didn't you hear what I said?" he tilts his head, a smirk playing on his lips. You didn't like how much you find him attractive doing just that.

"What? What did you say?" you ask back

He chuckles before leaning closer, totally crossing your personal bubble to whisper to you again. "I know your secret. Your note"

At the mention of that note, your blood runs cold. You totally forgot about that until this moment.

"What note?" you ask, pretending you didn't know what he was talking about. He smirks at you while getting something from his pocket, when you saw what it was a mixture of horror and shock shows on your face.

"This is your note, right"

"No, I don't know what you're talking about" you deny, suddenly you can't look straight at him

He chuckles, opening the note and reading it a few times over. "You know how I know? we've had a few classes together over the years, sometimes you let Minjeong borrow your notes which she then lets Jaemin borrow then I borrow it too, you have a distinct way of writing A"

"Are you calling my handwriting ugly?"

"So this is yours?"

You scowl at him, snatching the piece of paper from his hand. "I was just kidding when I wrote that"

Do it in an expensive car. Cursing yourself for even writing it. And also cursing the universe for letting Jeno be the one to find it.

"It'll be our little secret" he says, sipping on his drink while looking at you.

You took the risk of looking at him, catching his gaze on your lips by a split second before he's looking straight in your eyes again

"What?" you ask

"Never though you'd be the type that wants to try out exhibitionism"

"Okay first, that was not what I was thinking when I wrote that and two you're stereotyping me now?"

"Oh just like you did with me?" he raises a brow at you "So why did you write it?" he adds

"As a joke, plus what are the chances someone on campus owns an expensive car when half of the people here are neck deep in student loan debt" you explain

Again he chuckles, downing the rest of his drink before setting it down.

"What? You look like you're planning something devious" you tell him, for the second time tonight he comes a little too close to you. Enough to leave goosebumps on your skin just from his proximity.

He slips something in your hands while whispering something in your ear, "Hold on to this for me? I'll go find Jaemin and say bye" he smile then walks away without saying another word.

You look down at your hand to see a key fob, the logo all too familiar to you. Your mouth agape as you look towards where Jeno disappeared to but you can't see him anymore. You leave your drink and made your way outside, surely he'll find you. He did just leave the keys to his VERY expensive car with you.

While waiting for him on the front porch, you walk back and forth looking towards the row of cars parked on the side of the road.

"My car's a bit further down, don't want to scratch her with everyone walking by" someone says from behind you, already recognizing the voice

"Are you sure this is yours? This is not stolen right?" you ask him, meanwhile Jeno just laughs as he walks ahead of you. You follow behind him.

"It's mine, birthday gift before I left for college"

"Oh so from your rich parents then"

"You didn't specify on your note who had to buy the car" he jokes, halting his steps to let you catch up so this time you're walking side by side

"I'm not having sex with you, I don't care how expensive your Benz is" you tell him seriously. Unconsciously hugging your self with your arms across your chest.

Jeno holds his hands up, his mother did raise him to be a gentleman. And contrary to your initial impression of him, he does take no for an answer.

"We don't have to do anything, you can go back to the party if you want to. I'm going now since it's getting a bit boring, I'll go grab something to eat though if you want to come with"

You weigh your options, is it smart to leave with a guy you barely know? most people your age would do the same, hell some leave parties with complete strangers.

"I don't want to know how you're so sure of that, I'm just hoping the seats are clean and I won't contract anything" you mumble, following his lead. He stops beside a sleek black car, holding his hand out for the key. You let it fall back in his palm, he press the unlock button before opening the door for you.

"And they say chivalry is dead" you mumble, earning another chuckle from the guy before he jogs over the driver's side.

"I'm really hoping I won't end up in a ditch somewhere"

"I'm not gonna murder you" he says as he starts the engine, looking over at you to check if you're all buckled up before he start to drive away

"That's exactly what a killer would say"

He just laughs at your statement, pressing something in the dashboard before passing his phone to you "Play some music, please. Your pick"

Just like that the two of you settle, you keep the small talk going. It surprised you just how easy it was to keep a conversation with Jeno going, the two of you talked about anything and everything. When you got to the restaurant he was talking about, he told you to wait while he jogs over to your side. Opening the door for you, not missing how his hand stayed on top of the doorframe just in case you hit your head.

"A breakfast diner? It's 1am?"

"So? It's never too late for pancakes" he smiles at you, letting you walk in first. When the two of you ordered, he insisted he'll pay since he technically did invite you. After a few protest from you, you let him tap his card.

"Now I owe you" you mumble as you slide in the booth, him sitting infront of you. He notices you look at the seat beside you before looking at him, "What?" he asks

"I just.. it's silly but can you seat here?"

He didn't say anything else, standing back up to take the seat beside you.

"Better?" he asks, looking at you. You nod at him, this time you're not glaring or scowling at him. Instead a small smile is on your lips, Jeno thinks he likes it better that way.

"Can I ask why?"

"Huh? why what?"

"You want me to seat here?" he asks

"Oh uhm one time before I was seating alone in a cafe and this dude suddenly sat beside me. It got real weird real quick I had to call for help" you frown, recalling the bad memory.

Jeno sits straight when he heard your story, like suddenly he was on fight mode. "Is he from campus?"

Already thinking if he can track down the guy and have a talk with him, but you shake your head. "Some random dude I thankfully never saw again"

The food arrives as you finish talking, again the two of you made small talk while you ate. The time passing by, the two of you paid no mind to the clock on wall. You were having a great time.

"It's pretty late, I should drive you home" he says, looking at his watch before sliding out of the booth. Again he waits for you, holding the door open for you.

You watch the street lights pass by, the rest of the neighborhood lost in dreamland while you're in your own moment.

Jeno stops infront of your apartment complex, then turning off the engine. This time he didn't move to open the door for, so you look over at him to find him already looking at you.

"What?" you chuckle

"If I ask you out on a date, will you say yes or no?"

"Are you asking now or..."

"Depends, do you kiss after the first date only?" you roll your eyes at his question, unbuckling your seatbelt before leaning over the center console to pull him by the jackets towards you.

"Depends, are you not going to stuff me in your trunk?"

Jeno chuckles, tilting his head sideways. This way his lips are closer to yours, one move and they're touching but he made no move to close the gap. He lets you decide what the next move would be.

Then you do. You close the distance between the two of you, feeling his lips against yours. His lips still taste a bit sweet, like the syrup on the pancakes you just had. This thought made you smile.

Jeno pulls away enough but still close to you, like he's scared to let you go too far from his grasp. "What's funny?" he asks, thumb on your cheek

"Nothing, you taste sweet" you says before diving right back in. This time you feel him pull you even closer until you're climbing over and settling on top of him. Sitting squarely on his lap.

Jeno pulls the seat back to make more room between you and the steering wheel. Your arms locked around his shoulder while his are around your waist. He didn't do anything to take it further, he was contented kissing you like you're his last breath of air.

You don't know how much time has passed, loving every second his lips are on yours. Eventually you had to pull away, Jeno then moves down to kiss your jaw then down the hollow of your neck.

"I should go now" you breath out but didn't really make any effort to move, instead you tilt yout head to the side to give him more room to continue whatever magic he was doing.

"Mhm, sure" Jeno mumbles against your skin, he nips at your neck for a while before he kisses his way back up to your lips. Smiling again against his lips.

"Does this count as doing it in an expensive car?" he jokes when the two of you broke apart. You hit him on the chest playfully, Jeno catches your hand before kissing your knuckles.

"Go on a date with me?" he asks, his expression completely different from how it was just moments ago. You roll your eyes but the smile on your lips told him otherwise.

His arms are still around you, and yours still hugging him. You might not be attached at the lips anymore but the space between your bodies still nonexistent. He could definitely get used to this, he thought.

"Okay fine, next time we'll try the backseat though"

Interesting that Ai Di explains to Chen Yi

Obviously it's exposition for the viewers but Chen Yi's reaction is decidely "this is news to me" not "Ai Di is muttering complaints at me"

I can well believe that in general Chen Yi is the paper person and Ai Di is the people person.

That's why they agreed that the bar would be Ai Di's to manage.

Ai Di is eye catching, wild, loud, and brings the party and is unashamedly himself. Chen Yi is dependable, restrained, organised.

Petty was on the money that Ai Di colours Chen Yi's world, and Chen Yi supports Ai Di (matches his colours).

When I first saw this on my dash I was - predictably enough - focused on the implications of possessive Chen Yi seeing Zhang Teng with Ai Di backed against a wall.

Now I've watched the full scene!!!

From the moment FJR shows up, Ai Di doesn't provoke at all.

He doesn't back down of course, but on rewatching I saw: he's not saying or doing anything that could escalate things.

His next words are when Zhang Teng is lingering "What are you looking at? Get out." and almost before he does:

"Where's Chen Yi? I sent someone to call Chen Yi. Why did you come?"

Because if Chen Yi heard that the guy who had killed one of his people was now selling at his bar and Ai Di was confronting him...

He'd be there.

Except he's been told and he's not there.

Something happened to him.

(Except no, FJR was arrogant enough to just not tell him, so that suppressed panic attack was for nothing.)

I mean even just this episode, they've just been shot at, one is dead, two are wounded, and he still grabs his med bag and gets to work saving the survivor's lives. I just really love him and I wish his bravery was mentioned more, he's such an impressive person.

- I wonder why Ronon is the first to start being affected by the machine. John follows soon after and then Carson and Rodney at some point, Carson more so. We know that Teyla isn't affected at all because of the wraith DNA, but I wonder what causes the variation in the others.

- I'm also curious as to why Ronon, Leonard's team, and the Genii all turn on eachother while Sheppard, Rodney, and Carson have very different hallucinations. I mean Sheppard does try to shoot Ronon, but he hallucinates Teyla as a friend.

- man everyone except Sheppard, Rodney, and Carson have been shot at this point. I'm pretty sure Rodney gets shot too towards the end

We talked about yazan putting up the shelves that kiara got that have been sitting around since forever and that pretty much what it’s about 😂 he just does things for her, or does things so she doesn’t have to. Pre relationship or pre living together yazan would just go around her house and fix anything that needed fixing fjdksidjdk,, also a big part of why he doesn’t mind doing the chores. To put it shortly acts of service and quality time!

But this is mostly when they’re still in the beginning of their relationship (honestly it might take her 2+ years of being like that 💀) but I will say the first time she lets herself cry in front of him…………..

Gideon’s most prominent memory has to be valen punching his dad in a room full of people loll bc not only was it incredibly humiliating and an act of love towards his bestie but it was also the first time anyone really stood up to this bully of a man and he just got wrecked by a teenager fjskaksjdj it was great seeing him hunched over w a bleeding nose until he made a comment about the company his son keeps and then it was both boys vs the guards trying to tear them off him fjdksksjskdn

Sort of lol,, gideon struggles so much with his self image and thinks he’s broken and has nothing to offer or that letting ppl get to know him is essentially a burden on him and them so he just doesn’t make friends or meaningful relationships easily and valen over here just Fails to fathom it because to him gideon’s the most solid friend he’s ever had and literally nothing like all those things he says about himself and so he always makes it a point to let him know all the things he appreciates about him

Valen on the other hand thinks he’s the most interesting and amazing person anyone has the pleasure of knowing and that he’s worth it and because he’s set that expectation for himself any criticism from others or negative emotions from himself is shoved aside in favor of the facade and while gideon agrees he’s amazing and lowkey idolizes him lol he’s the only one actually capable of giving him a reality check that he’ll listen to and seeing him as just valen

First and foremost, I must say I can't comment much about your writing skill in terms of the use of "pretty words" and all, because i myself is new at writing. so i'm not nearly qualified to judge but!! What i can comment on is how you make feel throughout the fic. With that said, I will be needing you to compensate me because a heart has been broken. You have triggered the melancholy side of me and damn does it shatter my heart to pieces. I love me some one-sided love angst; I mean I always like reading how unrequited love is written. Like, the pain, the longing, the joy that laced with doubt, everything about it. And the way wrote it!! Just muahh *chef's kiss*. Now the three things I always love in my stories (whether in reading ot writing) are angst, fluff and smut. And the fact that you have these is also another reason why i love it!! Unexpected Savior is actually about my daughter. She is in love with Bucky and has been since she was very young. She's almost 12 now, but I know for a fact that if Bucky was real and that scenario happened in real life she would do that. She'd defend him just like little Cadence did. so, I loved this episode, please tell me this is when the season picks up finally, I was finally engaged from the beginning until the end, and enjoyed all of it

I did miss Carlos, and he's my fave character, but also, like I mentioned a lot already, the tarlos storyline so far with Iris etc was so fucking boring and it took a lot of time in those first episodes (and it's crazy I'm even saying that because I always say to give Carlos all the screen time 😂) so it was nice to kinda have a break from them haha and I'm so glad we're over the whole FBI thing

now, I adore Grace and I loved her storyline this eps, it was great and interesting

I feel like Asha's gonna stick around and I'm excited if they're gonna do anything with her and Paul (or just fucking give Paul some more screen time ffs)

I loved that we got more of other dispatchers aside from Grace and please keep it up, I wanna know them like we know Josh and Sue and Linda, for them to be around you know? 😂

No I like that too, it's interesting that everyone interpreted him to be a bad person (he's def like morally not great) but he was decent to her at one point. I will have to give the song a listen and see if it resonates something in me (based on title maybe it's because I made Harry not have sex with her hehehehe--that will be for another time).

One Pound Gospel - Episode 8

Okay, this episode was actually really good. This show is way better when it goes into serious mode instead of goofy mode. It's funny, Kosaku's gym family wasn't really developed at all in the manga, but they're the best part of the live action adaptation. Love finding hidden gems in my completionist journey.

Notes:

I forgot how young these characters are supposed to be. Kosaku's coworker mentioned high school. (I think Kosaku was 18 in the manga?)

I wonder if it's because I'm in my 30s that I love the older female characters the best? Both the Chairman and Mother Superior are just so lovable :')

Kosaku and Angela smiling and acting all shy by the bridge was too cute 😭 Kosaku acted like a freak when he was trying to win Angela over and now he's so tame lol (much better)

I love seeing the Chairman interact with Angela. They're just total opposites so it's interesting.

Blatant foreshadowing that Ueda's gonna become a boxing coach? Why am I more invested in his plot line than Kosaku's? 😂

Everyone thinking Mother Superior was a weirdo when she was talking about the "smell of spring" was funny but also, why did they have to act like she was so strange?? I totally know what she means by the smell of spring!

Ryuusei has switched over to mustache twirling villain mode and it's really dumb. We all know he'll be defeated in the end so it's just like...let's get this over and done with already.

So much wholesome bonding in the second half. The rehearsal of Kosaku's title match was precious (of course they were playing the emotional bgm to get me invested lol).

Oh no...why does Ryuusei suddenly have cornrows? Cringey 2000s things

(Actually, his host hair is bad too lol. Can't win).

This show has genuinely made me want to go see a boxing match, just out of curiosity. Like...I'm pretty positive it's not for me, but I'll do anything once.

Ueda's bros telling him not to quit 😭He better get a good scene in the final episode to wrap up his arc.

The title match was so short! I'm not sure if it was anticlimactic or epic. Seeing everyone's stunned reactions was hype. ("IT'S LOVE!!" - Kosaku)

A little surprised that Angela didn't pop up at the last second like always. They gotta build that drama for the finale. Let's see where this goes!

Hi! It's brimmingham anon! I hope you've been well! First off I wanna say I'm sorry I forgot to send in my thoughts on the last chapter!! I had them in my notes and got distracted and then forgot got send them!! So we're just gonna go over the last two Tom them now😂😂 But first off I loved both chapters!! I liked how we got to learn a little more about Y/N's background and the lives of her family. And then ohhhhh Y/N's gonna kill her brother! That was a twist I wasn't expecting!! 🥰 Like it makes sense but I just wasn't expecting that at all!! And I like how Tommy accepts it and doesn't try to convince her not too because he also knows she needs to do that!! And once again Ahhh they're getting closer!!THOMAS ADMIT YOUR FEELINGS!!!!! And ohh look how much he trusted her to invite her to a family meeting!!!!!😍😍😍 And then at the meeting I love how the family is so willing to support her!!! And then Ooohh I like how you ended the 15th chapter! It was a good like kinda cliff hanger spot!! 

And then chapter 16!!!! Also brilliant🥰🥰 Look at Tommy being concerned for his girl!!! I love that he actually stoped to have her talk and try to like hear the full story! Also Screw her brothers and her father!!! That's an awful thing they did!! Especially Garrett!!! I'm glad he got what he deserved!!! Poor Y/N😭😭 It must have been hard for her to make the choice to run and leave her mother! And I love that she finally felt comfortable enough to tell Tommy!! 🥰and then ohhhh the entire scene at the bar!!!!! Ahhh!! For that I love that Tommy and his brothers backed off for that to let Y/N do what she needed to at first! And I do like that she wanted to talk to him before she shot him and didn't shoot him while his back was turned. I don't know the word for it but I liked she did that! ALSO THE AUDACITY OF THIS BASTARD!!!!! How dare he!! And then oh no!! I was worried at first that he'd kill Y/N but I'm glad Tommy saved her!! Poor Darling that her brother traumatized her so much!! And idk if it makes sense I'm kinda glad Garett's death came the way it did. Like even if I kinda wanted to see Y/N kill him I think it was an interesting twist to have it not be her at the last minute. Like we know she's strong and capable but like she's still so hurt by her past that in this instance she couldn't yet, like she still needs to heal more? I don't want to say she's was broken to push past the fear of him to do it but like she was still at the point where she kinda got stuck in the memories just for a moment and that was enough for him to take advantage of it. And I really don't know if I'm describing my feelings right but I really did like that moment. It was something I feel I haven't seen a lot. And it was very interesting and it was very well written! Like I could feel her fear and anticipation when her brother took the gun!! Also I like how when Tommy killed Garett it was like quick and he didn't even say anything to the man. Like knowing Tommy he probably could have grabbed Garett before he shot again or shot him in the arm and like taken over killing him and I have a feeling Tommy would have liked to make him hurt a lot first. But he didn't I feel like because he was both so concerned for Y/N at the moment. But I liked how in the end Garetts death was quick and not drawn out because asshole wasn't worth the effort if that's makes sense!! And then awe!! Like look at Tommy being caring again for Y/N!! And Ohh I hope her mum's ok!!!!! 

Both of the last chapters were brilliant!!! I loved them both and I can't wait to see what's coming next!!❤️❤️ I hope you have a great day!!!

She definitely wanted to be the one who carried out the act (and after hearing her backstory, I’m sure it’s evident as to why) … it was definitely a lot for her to come out with, and it was something I think even Tommy was surprised to here, but he had faith in her and knew that she could handle herself.

It was fun bringing her into a family meeting…I feel like been neglecting the other Shelbys for the sake of the main storyline, but having them pop into the events again was like a breath of fresh air haha. They definitely have (Y/N)’s back.

I didn’t think I’d have as much fun as I did writing Chapter 16…it was a storyline that came to me on a whim one day and the main event of it was fleshed out within minutes of it coming to my mind. I wanna give another big thank you to @peakyscillian who helped me figure out how I was going to weave (Y/N)’s backstory in and show how terrible Garrett really was to her. I couldn’t have done it without her.

I’m happy to hear that you liked how it went down. She didn’t want to just walk in there, pull the trigger and call it finished. She wanted to be able to get that last word in…and unfortunately that was what caused her to get stuck in her mind. I really wanted to show that, even though we’ve seen her take out other men, this man is different…and she’s still not totally over what happened when she left.

Tommy was definitely there to cover her though. You’re definitely right…he could have gone and prolonged it, but I think he just wanted him dead, for (Y/N)’s sake for than anything.

Now (Y/N)’s going to need to let her mom know of what’s gone down…hopefully that’ll be the last of the worries for the ladies from Sheffield. They deserve to rest.
