Lord Zhou and the Ghost Valley Master Cross-posting because i'm just that wild, hah! /jk More about the art below! --and a little talk about WenZhou and their relationship to power (+ some meta).
So hum, it is no secret that I enjoy a bit of "spice" in WenZhou's dynamic and at times am very prolific on my nsfw twitter account.
Collars and leash stuff have been on and off, and I was recently enabled for more of that by friends going wild about ZZS on a leash, etc, etc. LBR: I don't think you need any reason to go feral about that kind of stuff--but seeing how I myself seemed to regress to the state of a wild horny beast while making this painting, I felt like I may need to adress it a little. Here are some of my thoughts about WenZhou & power:
WKX and ZZS are both men who are/were in a position of extreme power. Both rose to that position of extreme power, but from very different starting points and motivations.
ZZS was, from what we know from how he describes himself in TYK and from how he behaves in QY, a very smart, cocky, ambitious kid, who probably deliberately sold his services to HLY to keep rising. There were probably ideals mixed in that, but point is, ZZS desired that power, that influence, and was encouraged to reach it. Becoming a sect leader so young was probably a shock, but nothing indicates that this position wasn't wanted. ZZS also mentioned not having a physique as advantageous as ZCL's when he was a child; so he probably had to work hard to reach his goals. Point is: the power was desired and strived for.
WKX has, without a doubt, needed the power, without ever really showing any pleasure nor satisfaction in having it. Surviving in the GV =/= reaching the top; if anything, becoming the GVM put the largest target on his head--but it is likely that reaching the position of GVM was necessary for him to execute his plan (find the key, pull the right strings, obtain his revenge). WKX was a little genius who didn't want to study, and probably wasn't dreaming/aiming for power. Conclusion: the power was a necessity and a tool. Many various characterisation points/analysis/dynamics can be pulled from this, and it is quite interesting to explore how, later, their relationship to power can evolve, both re:the rest of the world and each other. For the following personal analysis, I also worked with the following points from the book:
ZZS admires WKX's strength and power
WKX seems to have multiple fantasies of control and domination
ZZS seems receptive to many of them (including the biting, the somno stuff, and the cnc suggestions)
WKX admires/envies/resents ZZS' freedom
ZZS has fun becoming a subversion of his past self (swearing, being gross, being ridiculous, being openly cocky)
WKX is a control-freak and is very patient
ZZS is a bit conservative
WKX quite the opposite
Now how does that bring me to ZZS on a leash for the GVM?
(note that this is my current conclusion, not the conclusion)
I like to think that on the one hand, ZZS is that man who sees himself as a man and enjoys a lot of things about masculinity. The power that he likes for himself, he also enjoys seeing it in someone else's hands--he likes fighting for it, but (and this is a very personal interpretation) I like to believe he gets the most thrills from being overpowered; because it shows how strong the other is, bc it subverts whom he is himself. The power he's fought to get, has had all his life, but ended up leaving him alone at the top, feels good when taken from him--or when there's someone strong enough that he isn't alone up there anymore. On the other hand, I feel like although WKX would benefit from relinquishing some control and power, he does enjoy using it in a personal, pleasurable way, rather than by necessity. While he probably likes toying with presentations, with appearances, and doesn't mind being perceived as the wife, as the more submissive one in their fake-traditional relationship play of husband and wife, having the power, holding the leash---simply out of pleasure and mutual satisfaction is, I think very cathartic and arousing for him.
But then, why precanon? For the aesthetic bc I'm a simp for TC!era ZZS. And because showing him so strong, so powerful, yet leashed, is kind of a reminder that... It's not about real power. It's not about who, between them, is the strongest, the most powerful, the winner or whatever. It adds that thrill, the aknowledgement that this is out of freewill and choice and pleasure, I guess.
On top of that, man, I'm sorry, but peak TC!ZZS right post-QY canon after he's become the most powerful man in the country but is completely jaded by what happened in the end? On a leash? For a man he respects?? ugh
Anyway TLDR; I think it's hot and all of that gibberish barely has anything to do with my actual motivations to draw this.

hi xelys I’ve once again come to poke at you abt ur aus :33
Who is this gentleman…..
'' Waka Waka! THAT'S MY FIRST BOOK WHEN I GOT HERE! . . . In this world so sufferable.. HAHAHA, HEY! DO YOU WANT TO READ IT WITH ME? . . . . . You know it is not necessary to read it, because this book has a voice of its own that is unknown through me, He he.... Please help me.
THEY EVEN LOOK LIKE A CHILDREN'S STORY, WELL THAT'S HOW IT STARTS! '' It's a long time ago, four kingdoms, three alliances, two empires that grew strengthened over the years and and a kingdom that is against of them and a kingdom that is against them,of monster beings and terribly powerful for being different like them, despite bad alliances towards the yellows the monsters only asked for mercy for something that never happened. Due to the decisions of the yellow king they were accused for generating plague that killed to the other kingdoms and their people, among the other kingdoms they did not get involved in that conflict because no one is to blame for this world being contaminated with supernatural magic that can generate disaster.
There is a principle of nature that most creatures know and that is how it works, The animal that wants to scratch, and bite, and kick, and snatch with all its might, The monster was insolent to think that it would not use violence, why didn't they attack?, which ends up being the lunch of their own satisfaction for that abominable being… A kingdom is an animal that is trying to survive to protect its family and its people by not getting involved with others even if they are not like them, like animals, because….
Until one day they summoned A fearsome being and went to take Both kingdoms, sentenced to suffer while their people migrated to other kingdoms as soon as possible before the worst arrived with the hopes of survival, what happens? That's how animals are, we are all the bad guys in this story.
Is it over? oh well I'll go try again to take the life of the protagonist…
Name: Knight!Ever Age: 21 years old, Corrupt Elemental: Water, Known as Ever,The kingdom Novelriam Spooky (ghost monster) coexists, the kingdom where the yellows were inhabited due to the catastrophe of their kingdom taken by the demon, now he is one of the others knight with legendary strength who is capable for his reflexes of speed, strength, skill and for helping the kingdom by supernatural disasters, is known by both tutors Negative and Passive for being friends of the leader of the royal guard (Spheria). Ever known as Pacster, the king's lost son, he was taken for dead/missing, the king and the Master Pac-mage without knowing the reason what happened to them.
Ever is one of the yellow totally silent and aggressive because of his personality you cannot prevent or resist him with him, he will do everything possible to obtain his goal, He uses a mask to reserve his identity (Although the mask changes) although they made derision of him with his mask, Ever, put in place a large part of the Royal Guard, There is a reason why Sheperia saw in prolonging it in another place among the other more trained of the institution of the kingdom of Novelriam, where the most legendary are what represents the protection against black magic that inhabits outside the kingdom while the most legendary intervene to prevent it from entering and also watch over those from outside the kingdom if there are mutations that mix black magic towards the supernatural.
Ever was called to the kingdom offices for a new type of guard job and it is to take care of the only princess of her monster ghost races she escapes for her survival instinct and also to understand black magic, for something that has been required to stop and leave that external behavior towards the supernatural since that harms people,Ever have a different objective and that is to obtain the source of power that balances and protects the kingdom from external black magic and to find out where it is through Stratos tutor of Pinky is the one who takes care of the Novelriam kingdom both economically and politically with the other kingdom called the Nascent Light.
Therefore Negative and Passive agreed to the request that Ever take care of Pinky while they would work for Stratos on the kingdom's commissions and requests. Pinky doesn't like it when a guardian puts her in her place and forces her to be as she should be "a ruler" for a kingdom that doesn't exist as a ghost monster since it is plagued by yellow orbs, the reason why the yellow chose her is by means of faroz and farel on the mission that the elementals would save their kingdom from black magic by taking the throne even if it is not because of their races.
Spheria, Stratos and the Mage.oz (<-Sr.cumferencie) You do not recognize the son of the yellow king is because his identity was preserved, since his son was born he has never been able to see who he really was, neither the people nor anyone else, only the master magicians are the ones who could see the child.
Negative and Passive, Known as Eversy and Soleyver preserve their real names by Mage.oz and Stratos who know the existence of both servants of faroz and farel both masters who taught their students, Mago.oz and Stratos you do not know who the servants Eversy and Soleyver are for saying so they are not ghosts and have no soul of their own, in this they make it difficult as are their real appearances and the little information they collected from the golden kingdom, Eversy is the one who trained Pacster by the obligation of an order from the yellow king to follow the abuse and mistreatment so that he would become like him, For this reason he is called Ever, Soleyver is the one who disciplined Pac and gave him the exact education by the desire of sunny queen that already she is not lifeless.
Lately I was collecting all these ideas they had for this au, I never thought a person would ask me this au. I am very happy for the question my friend :'3 ♥️💙! GUYS, LOOK AT THESE BEAUTIES!

I am responsible for a life that is in jeopardy, and I will do whatever I have to to save her, do you understand?
| ANATOMY OF A SCENE - CHENFORD EDITION 2.11 - Day of Death
The juxtaposition of these two scenes - Lucy being buried alive and Tim going feral - is so powerful and haunting… They might not be together physically in those moments, but you can still feel how their own actions are being driven, fueled even, by the other. Lucy is trying to hold onto his training and her faith in him, knowing instinctively that he will do whatever it takes to find her.. And Tim is ready to burn down the city in his search for her, spiralling… But you can also see how the other's absence is starting to impact their spirit as well. They're both trying to remain as calm as possible, but there's no one to ground them...
That image of the dead tree looming over the grave site gives such an eerie and disturbing atmosphere to the scene… And so is the visual of Lucy, looking all bruised and battered. She's clearly terrified, wounded, probably still feeling woozy… But most of all, she's being defiant. She doesn't scream, she doesn't cry, she doesn't beg… She refuses to give Caleb that satisfaction, to play his mind games. And in return, she even manages to turn the tables on him, getting under his skin… and forcing him to alter his plans. That might seem inconsequential in that moment but, in the end, that's what saves her : without all her efforts, the team would have been too late. She bought them and herself some time. And that's why Tim repeatedly makes sure to remind her that she saved herself. Nyla was absolutely right in her assessment : Lucy is a fighter. She's pushing through her fear and relying so much on psychology and on her training. The way she manages to compartmentalise is so incredible. Her strength is unreal… She's remembering what Tim taught her, focusing on the procedure to calm herself down. She throws her ring as a breadcrumb for him : he once told her that the most important thing she needed was her eyes, her cop eyes. So she leaves something behind for him to find, because that's something else he taught her : she's never alone. The faith she has in him… And even her last words to Caleb are pure defiance… And true. But seeing her in that barrel is so distressing. That last shot of her trying to regulate her breathing, to stay calm and not panic is so poignant… She's on the verge of breaking down and it's so heartbreaking...
And she's not the only one : Tim is also close to reaching his breaking point, but in a very different way. He's going in a downward spiral, unravelling, with no one there to reign him in… Lucy is usually the one who can get through to him. And in some ways, this is so reminiscent of the old Tim, the one we met. Only, back then, he was punching walls or lashing out at detectives when Isabel got shot… here he is being almost unnervingly calm when he threatens that man. He has finally a target to vent his anger and frustrations to. He doesn't yell. He's not reacting, he's being very deliberate. And that it is more terrifying. He is absolutely ready to cross a line for Lucy. Remember when she told him that he was always on the right side of the law? That was when he considered for a brief moment breaking the law for his wife, before changing his mind. But now? He will do whatever is necessary to get Lucy back alive. Right or wrong. Jackson is so shocked in the background : this is a side of Tim he has never seen before. Angry? Yes. But this cold anger? No. That's the thing : Tim's reaction here is far more similar to the one he had when his wife was in danger than when his best friend got kidnapped by a cartel… Not to mention that this scene is also quite close in tone to the ones where Wesley was threatening carter members for Angela or making a deal with Elijah. Both men were ready to do whatever it took to save the women they love… Except that only one of them was married. Guilt might be a powerful motivator, but this isn't the only emotion fueling Tim here. Love was a part of it, romantic or not. He just didn't realise it yet. And it kind of makes you wonder how he would react now that they're together...
Lastly : the way both Melissa and Eric conveyed all those emotions is nothing short of brilliant. Those images of Lucy in the barrel and Tim threatening to pull that guy inside out are some of the most memorable ones from the show and they did a phenomenal job in their portrayal, the micro-expressions and the voice… They elevated the material so beautifully.

god this sukufush/itafushi/ eventual sukufushiita fic i is so manipulative and obsessive and " i know what's best for you more than/before you do " flavor and I love it. MDNI. part of the current WIP.
The futon is luxurious for a few hours, and Sukuna boasts about being more comfortable than the brat, much to Megumi's personal amusement… these two really could get into a competition about anything, couldn't they? How warm they both were, how comfortable, Sukuna ends up practically spooning him from behind, as Megumi buries himself in the blankets for the mere fact that the material was comforting. Internally, maybe it was also something to do with the creation of an artificial barricade between what he fears and desires at the same time. Maybe that was the worst thing about seeing Sukuna again after all this time devoting himself to Yuuji, knowing that he had a choice to make… and it was encroaching on him quickly.
He fears his own body's wants. Terrified that they might betray their lover, it was unthinkable for him. There was simply no way he'd ever be so disloyal to his most loved person in the world, the one who fought back to back with him for years, even when Megumi had been rendered effectively useless by the terror Sukuna implanted into him. Yuuji didn't give up on them, didn't fail to see them as a sorcerer and a powerful person… that was perhaps the most vital thing: unlike a lot of people in his life, Yuuji didn't give up on him and disappear out the door the second he wasn't useful anymore.
… but then, neither had Sukuna. In fact, Sukuna had even protected him multiple times. Mahoraga, all the cursed spirits that would have overcame him in one way or another, all his vulnerable moments where he truly couldn't handle himself. Sukuna had done his best as a cursed spirit himself to protect him, as a real master of the jujutsu arts, he'd pulled feats of strength hitherto unheard of for his sake. The only reason Sukuna had gone was because of Megumi's exorcism of him at the end, where he stared the curse in the face as he got rid of him, even with tears threatening to line his eyes, with blood sticky and wet between them, with his own weapons no less. It was a betrayal. Yet, Sukuna mentioned nothing about it but once, did not use the incident against him, rather… he was a seductive kind of cruel, an evil that thrived on being wanted, as all evil in this world did. Wanted, seeked out, exploited by fools.
That's why what wakes him… startles him.
Two large hands exploring his form shamelessly, lazily, running down to the dips of his hips to linger on the bend of his skin, not a sound from behind him as Megumi peeks his eyes open from the firm touch's awakening. Naturally, he first tries to twist away from the touch, tries to get the curse to cease whatever they were planning to do with him, as a heat flushes across his cheeks. Megumi screws his eyes shut stubbornly-- he wasn't about to let this happen, he wasn't about to betray Yuuji like that. If he gave into the feeling of those hands, it'd be a dangerous decision. Even if they were searching for complacency that did, in fact, exist within Megumi's tired form… he refused to admit that there might have been even the slightest possibility that Sukuna might overpower his will.
Eventually, that idea goes out the window entirely as Sukuna finds themselves eventually climbing on top of him, talking in his ear as he leans down to invade their personal space, the breath lingering along with the heat of his breath, the satisfaction of finally getting them into this malleable state, a state where he clearly wants what Sukuna is offering, Personally, Sukuna found the very idea of bumbling hands being the ones to pleasure his Megumi abhorrent and offensive. Awkward, clueless, useless hands of the brat could not satisfy the person who Sukuna chose, surely. Luckily for Megumi: Sukuna knew what could.
“ There’s no use refusing me… allow yourself the opportunity to feel true pleasure… “
Even when Ryomen Sukuna's weight is atop of their body and Megumi's existence is a stubborn one, the raven isn't very good at keeping his meek sounds of pleasure to themselves. Even their fight dies a bit when Sukuna is situated on top of them like he is, only pulling back to lean back on Megumi's body and get himself out of his upper kimono, the obi tied around the middle like a thin string the only thing keeping the lower half together. In the dim illumination of the candles, he really does appear more like an overlord of hell than anything else, it was impossible to tell what was more attractive: his chiseled, tribal-tattooed body of the look in his eye as he stares them down, diminishing Megumi's fight even further.
" S, Sukuna…"
Sukuna's hand inches its way down Megumi's outstretched arm to crawl and worm his way between their fingers, clutching the hand with his claws as a mockery of intimacy. A low rumble in his throat resounding, reverberating, a groan against the skin of the raven's throat, a husky response being offered as his lips graze against their skin with every shaping of their mouth, " Mmn? This isn't your world… this is mine. Your vows of loyalty to the brat don't exist. However what does exist… is what's in front of you. Me. This. Allow me to introduce you to another plane of pleasure… the heights of wanting… "
There's a haze already gathering in Megumi's brain, settling right where logic should be operating, and in Megumi's chest, his heart races at the physical closeness of the curse. Admittedly, he's only ever touched a curse in a fight with his fists or with his cursed blade, never with his hands, never like this. The King of Curses was surprisingly human… everything from the feeling of his flesh to the warmth radiating from his body screamed the classification of human if he didn't already know better. Megumi was placing a hand on Sukuna's wrist, breathing heavily as their cheeks flush— someone like Yuuji wouldn't even dream of being so rough with them. Yuuji was too gentle a soul to imagine it.
And his lips move on their own with a husk he didn't know he had in him to even create; " I… I want it… "
"Say it again." Sukuna orders him, their eyes locked as Sukuna searches to make Megumi admit it to himself that he does, in fact, desire more than the brat can give. He had to make what Sukuna saw as clear as glass just as clear to Megumi, and the repetition, the admittance of his own desires, was a good place to start.
Sukuna knew the brat could never be so deliberate with his touches either, clumsy fingers and even worse touches were exactly what he imagined from the boy. He felt like Yuuji couldn't take care of Megumi in the way that Megumi deserved, and he deserved so much more. Perhaps he just needed to show Megumi what he needed before he knew he needed it. To show him his own desires, to show him what he could have. To show him that it wasn't too late not to settle with someone lesser than the best of the best, the strongest in history, the only one who deserved such a precious blessing in his world. The brat's choice of environment wasn't where Megumi would flourish to his full potential, and that much was clear to Sukuna.
" One more time. "

Send 📼 to see an early childhood memory of my muse’s
"If one cannot overcome a friend in battle, then how can one call themselves a warrior? It matters not who you face, as all are enemies within the battlefield." Rome says to him, though the boys hazel eyes are on the children in the distance, the ones laughing and playing by the cool waters of the local stream. Envy bubbles within his chest, a desire to join them, to revel and forget that which he is for a fleeting moment, to be rid of this man who now rules over him with an iron fist.
A hand settles on the back of his neck, large and rough, the hands of a warrior indeed… The hands of a killer. His grip is not gentle, meant to warn.
"When I speak to you, Lusitania, I expect you to listen." His voice is firm, demanding attention as he uses his mother's name for him. Jovian is unsure if it is meant to belittle, an attempt to rub salt in a wound or if he simply didn't care enough to give him a proper name. Yet, he does not utter a word in response, hatred demanding he speak as wisdom holds his tongue.
Fury bubbles deep within his soul, thrashing and slamming against his chest like the raging sea trapped within a bottle, demanding release, but it is held down, saved. Rome didn't offer lessons like this for nothing, and the boy is sharp, sharp enough to know when a lesson intends to be learned the hard way, branded into his psyche forever.
"You'll soon be a man," he continues, each word spoken with the intent to instill seriousness into the conversation, to capture his attention, and finally he succeeded, eyes leaving the happy scene in the distance to refocus on the towering figure he'd ended up unwillingly the ward of. There are no words as they both continue on, the young boy having to hustle to keep up with the elder empires long strides. "You are the eldest." Rome reminds. They're headed somewhere neither Jovian, nor the others had been permitted previously: a large training ground that the mortals would find him to be too young to be in… Little do they know Jovian is their elder by centuries, that he has already taken mortal lives.
"Go, pick a weapon." Romulus instructs, and Jovian couple of seconds of hesitation it's met with a swift glare, golden brown eyes blazing like two twin suns. Without a word he moves to the weapon rack, as he begins to reach for one there's hesitation in his movements. He gives a single anxious glance back to the man, but he is given nothing in return, not even so much as a nod of encouragement. He's given nothing but a state of cold indifference, a calculating gaze… As if his choice of weapon would determine the rest of his life.
Perhaps it would.
His eyes return to the rack of weapons, and slowly he takes one. It's heavy, far heavier than a mortal of his age and size could vary, yet Jovian does not struggle too much with its weight, a familiarity immediately settling in his chest at its weight in spite of never having held one, as if his very being is called to this weapon. He feels… Powerful, a rush of something within himself that he can not yet identify.
He's jolted form his thoughts as that rough hand clasps his shoulder, and when he meets the man's eyes he sees something within them that he had not yet seen. Pride? Satisfaction? It's possibly the nicest look he'd ever received from the man.
"Good. You'll start tomorrow at dawn. We will test your strength then against Hispania."

Hector was ready to give up his life twice in the span of a few years.
The first time, it was after the fight against Isaac. There are two versions: in the MF manga, Hector simply collapses after Isaac falls off a cliff, with enough lucidity to muse that he'll die alone.
(the wiki also implies that Hector lost his will to live when he defected from his mission, but I doubt it)
But it's much worse in the PtR version, where Hector uses the last of his strength to walk away from a defeated Isaac and die alone under a tree, not after discarding his Devil Forgemaster vest:
There is something profoundly sad that I can't quite put into words. Hector could have collapsed next to Isaac, or he could have healed himself to continue his journey, but his priority was to get away from his former comrade, throwing away every last vestige of his former life, and find an isolated spot to die like a wounded animal (which would have taken him a long time, I presume, considering that Hector survived being thrown off Dracula's throne room). Did he feel like his life was no longer worth living for, after all the sins he had committed, after abandoning what was his purpose for years? We are left to interpret this scene for ourselves. But of course, fate had other plans for him.
The second time, it's right at the end of CoD. Hector has defeated Dracula before he could wreck havok again, he neutralized his Curse, and most importantly, he got his revenge against Isaac: he technically died from his hands, but there's little satisfaction Hector can feel from this, as he now knows that all this time, they were both mere pawns, neither of them in control of their thoughts because of the Curse. Let's not forget the likely sense of guilt he feels over being used like a puppet by two people, which is more apparent in the Japanese version: "[Isaac's] fallen so low... and so did I".
So he decides to let himself be buried under the falling rubble (ironically, he would have died together with Isaac's body this time, no running away to die alone). In English, it sounds like he was already planning to give up: "I feel I can let go now, and die in peace." In Japanese, it sounds like a sudden realization: "To die like this... it wouldn't be so bad." Good thing for him that Julia has precognition powers and at this point she knows Hector well enough to know that he'd do something stupid like this :')
Hector, in general, doesn't seem to care much about his own life, which makes perfect sense for someone who used to be one of Dracula's tools and had to come to the realization that he is a person after years of service. It also puts this cute quote in a more bittersweet context:
Rosaly saved his life the first time, and a simple act of kindness made him completely devoted to her. After she was killed, he set himself to throw it away in her honor. I hope, for his sake, that his time spent with Julia can help him accept that his life is worth living no matter who and what.
#castlevania#curse of darkness#hector castlevania#everytime i see one 'hector is a boring protagonist' take i make one extra post about him#this poor man. please let him be happy for more than 5 minutes

Hi! It's great to see you back, even it is for a moment!
I stopped watching Secret Invasion past episode 3 because I couldn't get interested. But when I found out that Rhodey is skrull my first guess was he was replaced right after Endgame. But when they said he has been a skrull for a long time then I guess right before IW. Now I am feeling both satisfaction for being right and annoyance because this is the most stupidest thing ever. It undermines every single meaningful scene he has ever had. I hate it so much.
Have a nice day...
I understand you anon, I understand you...
You know what's worse? It's the fact that they never planned it.
I Could have liked it if they planned it from the begging. If you go now to rewatch infinity war or endgame and find clues about Rhodey not being our Rhodey, it would be a "great" plot twist. Hurtful? yeah, but I would have been satisfied at least. But no, Marvel literally has to ruin old characters and old movies and for what? For this?
Overall, the series is boring. I liked the first episodes because I thought it was interesting, but after the last episodes? It's a big no. The series is useless. They could have filmed it in one whole episode and it would have ended there. This series is about Fury, not secret invasion. And what about G'iah? she's literally the strongest character ever. She has everyone's power but I bet they won't use her at all. The villain is lame, he literally has super powers but of course during the fight with G'iah he uses only super strength while G'iah uses every possible power (honestly, why does her arm become ice at some point? since when in endgame there was a superhero with ice powers). The invasion literally ends in two minutes and Fury goes off the planet with his wife like the world isn't literally in danger now that everyone knows about skrulls.
I have never been someone who said that marvel ended at endgame. I'm not a critic and an expert of writing movies and series, but I feel like they are doing too many mistakes.
EDIT: I just noticed another plot hole. G'iah, when she arrived at new skrull, was caughing so hard to make Gravik believe that she was Fury and was infected by the radiation. So that means humans cannot possibly survive in there, right?
So why the hell when at the end she freed all the humans, everyone was walking there like they were on a mountain trip.

Thinking about it... Gojo has a very deep sense of empathy, doesn't he? Even before his character development, he easily empathized with Riko. He is a fucking softie.
I both admire and feel annoyed that he extended such empathy to Sukuna too. But I think that is just how his character is. Subtly too kind for anyone's good. He did allow Geto to run loose even when Gojo knew he is going to kill more people.
There is a really nice detail I now understand with the official translation released too.
Yorozu wanted to connect with Sukuna by having him validate her strength. Her love is "You are not alone because I am here. Only I can understand you. Look at me!"
Gojo also wanted to connect with Sukuna by NOT demanding a validation. What he did was give him a show that is essentially "Hey, you're lonely but we are alike in that regard. Let me show you. See?"
Both characters are trying to teach Sukuna about "love" that can probably cure the loneliness from the solitude of being powerful but they have very different approaches. It seemed like Sukuna appreciated Gojo's more tho because he likes a show. He demanded one from Megumi and also Mahoraga while Gojo gave it freely. Hence Sukuna's comment of "You were magnificent."
The nice detail I'm referring tho is Yorozu was in Tsumiki's body. Sukuna is in Megumi's. It's a twisted pseudo-family love fest of Gojo and "Tsumiki" trying to shower "Megumi" love. It's horrific in its irony.
Also, yeah. Gojo was definitely downplaying himself during his talk at the "afterlife airport". Sukuna said so himself. He needed Mahoraga (and so the 10S itself) to find a way to beat Gojo.
Sukuna knew defeating Gojo is not easy once he realized that the Six Eyes user was incredibly adaptable on the fly. People forget that it took a while before Sukuna even brought out 10S into the fight. He tried to beat Gojo on his own first - find a way around Infinity without any help. When he discovered that Gojo is adapting too fast for him to study, he brought out Mahoraga so he can have a model to use.
Probably that's why the death was "off-screen". As soon as Sukuna figured out how to beat Gojo, he immediately did it because he only has one shot. If Gojo realizes what he was up to, he may adapt again (like Mahoraga heh). So as soon as he found an opportunity, he hit hard and hit fast (like Toji & Kenjaku).
Basically, Sukuna was giving his all too in the fight by finding a way to end it quickly. Gojo just didn't see it that way because what he wanted was for Sukuna to show off all his skills too like he did.
For Heian Sorcerers, being able to kill powerful opponents is the goal. That's Sukuna's mentality. For Modern Sorcerers, it's the display of one's power/CTs itself which is Gojo's mindset (hence their emphasis on having a DE). Both characters have slightly different definitions of "Strength".
Thank goodness the official translation corrected me on this one. Gojo never said that Sukuna is stronger than him. He just said he is crazy strong. So, it's not unlike how he praised his students like Yuta, Hakari, and Yuji. Therefore, I could safely say that both Gojo and Sukuna (with his "I shall not forget you") simply respect each other.
I think the flowers Gojo was talking about refers to his students. That's really depressing. He was raising them to be his allies but he never expected them to understand him. Gojo loves them but thought it to be one-sided. Sigh~
I swear this series' theme might be "Everyone loves each other but they are just shit at communicating it. Tragedy ensues."
I don't like one part tho which Nanami said: "A Curse can save people too like Sorcery." The North and South thing isn't helping. Gojo admitting he has no regrets but had no satisfaction either makes me nervous.
Gojo coming back is not yet an impossibility, I believe. But. BUT. Those three details may hint that Gojo would come back wrong. Shoko and the others should quickly retrieve Gojo's body.
#jujutsu kaisen spoilers#jjk spoilers#finally read the official translations#certain stuff got clarified at least

The Sanctification process
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life, and there are few who find it.
Matthew 7:13-14
We cannot say “i believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God” and think we are save, there is a second step. Thousands of people in the world believe Jesus is the Son of God but do not obey His commands at all nor are interested to follow Him faithfully. When we accept Jesus Christ into our heart and the Father freely forgives our sins, that is only the first step. The second step determines if our soul will be saved at the end; we have to go through the sanctification process. This step is done with our participation with the Holy Spirit; it is the path which will lead us to bear fruit of the Holy Spirit and be transformed from the inside out a little bit every day and it is a lifetime process.
Jesus warned us that He is the vine, we are the branches and a branch that does not yield fruit is cut down and thrown in the fire.
I AM the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser. Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit. You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you]. Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned. If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.
John 15:1-8 amp
How do we dwell in Jesus? By obeying His is every command. I have loved you, [just] as the Father has loved Me; abide in My love [continue in His love with Me]. If you keep My commandments [if you continue to obey My instructions], you will abide in My love and live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father’s commandments and live on in His love.
John 15:9-10 ampc
The sanctification process is nothing to be afraid of;. through the Holy will help us and we get in bonus the peace and joy that pass understanding. But that process is necessary to be saved. We are called to be transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ :
Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with the enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ). [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.
Philippians 2:12-13 ampc
The moment we think we know all that God has to offer and we understand everything we have a problem. We must always desire and ask to be transformed more. It is a life long process. The sanctification process does not happen in a month. And we can’t go through it on our own timing either, God only knows when we are ready to learn some things. Therefore we must offer ourselves to God every day and submit ourselves to the Holy Spirit.

Thursday 11/5/23 - Media Recommendations #47
Girlboss Genre Subversions
Content:
Romantic Killer
Nier Automata
It's been a little while since I've recommended any media, but I have still been consuming. In a lot of my recent recommendations, i've been doing well to group a lot of media under the same theme. But today, I have a less cohesive collection that I can't really justify as a theme. I guess these medias both feature cool girls and some shake up of their genres? Anyway, here's what I've been engaging in recently.
Romantic Killer
Wataru Momose / DOMERICA
The Romance genre of anime/manga is bogged down with boatloads of stereotypes and clichés. The objective of the story is often to throw as many suitors at the protagonist as they can, and put them in situations that will force the development of feelings faster than natural. But what happens when the protagonist knows they are in such a story, and don't want to give the higher powers the satisfaction of a successful infatuation?
The Pitch
Romantic Killer is a Romantic Comedy series, with 4 Manga Volumes, and one season of Anime. We are introduced to Anzu Hoshino, a highschooler who mostly refuses to interact with society at large. Her three favourite things are Chocolate, Videogames, and her pet cat Momohiki. One day, as she loads up what she thinks is a fantasy game, she is greeted by a Cheesy Dating Game, and out of the game emerges a small annoying creature, a Wizard "Love Cupid" calling themselves Riri. Riri explains that Japan's declining birth rates have forced Cupids to brute force youth into relationships.
Riri says that Anzu has been selected for the subject of a Romantic Thriller, and will be exposed to a series of situations typical of a Romance game, hopefully falling in love by the end. To better motivate her to actually participate, Riri removes Anzu's access to Chocolate, Videogames, and her cat Momohiki. What follows is a series of cliché happenstances where Anzu is exposed to prime romance material, but she staunchly refuses to participate in this nonsense .
Anzu is a strong personality, and would never take this hijiacking of her fate laying down. She declares herself the Romantic Killer, and even with her three favourite things on the line and a collection of very charming boys, she will be doing her hardest to not fall in love!
My Thoughts
I liked a lot about this anime, so I think I might actually start with the negatives. Despite the premise of the series being a subversion of the Romance genre, the series still leans hard into the tropes its making fun of. And that doesn't really make it a subversion does it? I feel in a lot of "romantic situations" that are very telegraphed as such, Anzu will acknowledge it is a bad cliché and then mellow out her usually brash personality to just let it happen. Still refusing to fall in love mind you, but I would have rathered more outright "No I'm not doing this" and walking out at some of the clichés she finds herself in. Minor gripe, but oh well.
The strength of this series is the characters. Anzu of course is the star of the show. Anzu is a relatable introvert, but not in a quiet, reserved way, but in a "do not invite me to things, fuck off and leave me alone way". She is funny, and brash, and makes for a welcome change to a romance protagonist. But this attitude changes subtley over the course of the first arc. Still loud and snarky, but more of a friendly person, fiercely loyal to her friends.
The supporting cast are surprisingly deep and complex characters for this genre, but that might be part of the point. We focus on a small group of friends; Anzu being a nerd doesn't have a huge friend group; but every character gets their own focus and exploration into their personal struggles. Each cookie-cutter love-interest character is initially very one-dimensional, but it is soon revealed that each has their own complexities and traumas that shape and are shaped by their romantic personas. I don't want to spoil anything, but some very real and traumatic topics are brought up and covered in a very sensitive manner. Those with triggers for abuse beware.
I have only experienced this series as one 12 episode season on Netflix, but there are several volumes of manga to look into as well. Romantic Killer is a fun, feel good rom-com that has a slight video-gamey feel to it, but also isn't afraid to touch on more human, personal topics. If this recommendation has appealed to you at all, then you 100% should experience it for yourself.

Nier: Automata
Yoko Taro / Square Enix
What does it really mean to be human? Is it our relationships with others? Creativity and the ability to appreciate the creativity of others? Or is the inherent violence that will likely bring our kind to an end? To truly appreciate the uniqueness of humanity, perhaps we need to see it through the lens of beings who are not human. And if they aspire to be human... why?
The Pitch
Nier: Automata is an Action Role Playing Game (ARPG) made by Platinum Studios. The game is based in a post-apocalyptic Earth, several thousand years into the future. Humanity has been wiped from the surface of the planet, and their last refuge is on the moon. Alien Robots, called Machines, have taken over the planet, and Androids created by humans still cling on in secure parts of the world. A new squadron of combat Androids called YoRHa have recently been deployed onto the planet, and it is their mission to destroy the Machine threat once and for all.
The player takes control of YoRHa No.2 Type B (or 2B for short), a combat android who fights with two bladed weapons assisted by a Pod, an attack drone that follows her. She is accompanied by 9S, a scanner android who utilises hacking skills to help 2B overcome her enemies. Combat is not as complex and combo-driven as other Platinum action games, but what it lacks in complexity, it makes up for in customisation. Plug-In Chips can be collected from fallen enemies or purchased from NPCs, and can be used to increase 2B's skills in certain abilites ranging from Movement Speed, and Attack Power, to the the ability to Heal over time, or by killing enemies. But since there is only a certain amount of space for chips, the player will have pick and choose their abilities, and re-customise them for new situations.
The gameplay loop is that of an open-world with quests. Very early into the game, you can explore most of the available world, and as your character grows in power and completes more of the main story's objectives, you will be meet more characters with quests to complete. The ability to customise your weapon load-out, availability of plug-in chips, and even alternate Pod Turrets depend on the player's willingness to go out and explore the world.
The world is broken and ruined, but in a kind of beautiful way. The landscapes are vast and set-pieces are enormous, and the soundtrack only makes the journey all the more epic.
One of the most intriguing or intimidating aspects of the game, depending on your outlook, is the multiple endings and story arcs. The first time you see the credits is only partway through the greater narrative. There are 26 endings, each named for one letter of the alphabet. Most of these endings are making a mistake in certain plot moments, but endings A, B, C, and D are part of the main story. Endings B, C, and D come after you beat the A story, so if you use this recommendation as an excuse to play the game, I would implore you to play until you've reached at least these four endings.
My Thoughts
I am not usually an enjoyer of fast pace combo driven action games by Platinum studios. Games such as Bayonetta and Devil May Cry just seem more stress than fun, and that makes it surprising that I enjoyed Nier: Automata. This game is a bit slower paced in that combat, and given that enemies often attack in troves, the importance of long combos is forgoed for the need to clear a crowd. Enjoyers of Platinums usual style might feel let down by this, but I feel this made the game more approachable.
I played the game on the Normal Difficulty and although there were points that I struggled, there was never a place that I was totally walled by difficulty. For those who are a glutton for punishment, higher difficulties put restrictions on play such as 1 hit=death, so I'm sure there's enough fun for anyone.
However, the gameplay is not the highlight of the game, it is the world, the story. Nier: Automata is part of the larger Drakengard saga, a world with a deep history of magic and science. Nier: Replicant is the only other game in the core Nier series. However, I never felt that I needed the context of previous games to understand the world. As an open world game, parts of the lore are optional to find, so the the story is as deep as you want it to be.
The world is beautiful and vast. And the soundtrack is not what you'd expect from a game of robots in the far future. There are lots of acoustic instruments and rhythmic chanting that help build atmosphere for all types of environments; ruined cities, forests, deserts, and cute little settlements. You could listen to the songs of this game as ambient study/relaxation music for hours.
Playing Nier: Automata endeared me to the characters and world, and as someone who only got to the game on the recent Switch version, I feel like I definitely should've enjoyed the game sooner. I know I'm late to the party, but I'm super keen for a sequel.
If you like the type of post-apocalyptic settings where nature is at the forefront again, or enjoy the feeling of mowing down enemies and becoming powerful. If you are the type to enjoy the perfect blending of high fantasy and sci-fi. If you enjoy cute girl in French Maid outfit. You should play Nier: Automata.

Introduction When it comes to home improvement, flooring can make or break the look and feel of a space. As a woman who takes pride in creating a beautiful and comfortable home, I've often found myself excited by the idea of upgrading my flooring, only to be met with a series of challenges that, quite frankly, have left me frustrated. The Struggle of Physical Strength Let's be honest, not all of us have the physical strength to handle the demands of traditional flooring materials. From heavy lifting to cutting and laying down the floorboards, these tasks require more muscle power than I often feel equipped to handle. As much as I love the idea of DIY home projects, the reality is that lugging around heavy boxes of hardwood or stone tiles isn’t just difficult; it’s daunting. I remember the first time I decided to tackle a flooring project on my own. I was so excited to install the perfect floor in my living room, only to quickly realize that the sheer weight of the materials was too much for me to handle alone. It was a humbling experience, to say the least. The frustration of not being able to physically manage the materials was overwhelming. I felt defeated before I even began. The Desire for Lightweight, Easy-to-Handle Materials This experience led me to seek out alternatives that are lightweight and easy to manage without sacrificing quality or style. Flooring that’s easy to handle allows me to take control of my home improvement projects without the need to constantly ask for help. It empowers me to do the work on my terms, at my pace, and with confidence. Fortunately, the flooring industry has evolved, offering a range of materials designed with people like me in mind. Products such as luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) and engineered wood are not only lightweight but also incredibly durable and stylish. They’re easy to cut, install, and handle, which means I can focus on the creative aspects of the project rather than the physical demands. How Flooring Hut Can Help This is where Flooring Hut truly stands out. Understanding the unique challenges that many of us face, they offer a wide selection of lightweight flooring options that are both practical and beautiful. Their customer service team is always on hand to answer questions and offer advice, ensuring that you feel confident in your choices and capable of handling your project from start to finish. The Fear of Flooring Not Looking as Good as Expected Another concern that often weighs on my mind is whether the flooring will look as good in reality as it does in the showroom or online. The fear of investing time, energy, and money into a project only to be disappointed by the final result is real. After all, flooring is a significant investment, and the last thing I want is to end up with something that doesn’t meet my expectations. This fear has kept me awake at night, second-guessing my choices and delaying decisions. I worry that the color might be off, the texture won’t match the rest of the décor, or the installation won’t look professional. It’s these thoughts that make me hesitate, even when I find a flooring option that I love. Flooring Hut’s Commitment to Customer Satisfaction Flooring Hut understands these fears and goes the extra mile to ensure you’re happy with your purchase. Their website features high-resolution images, detailed specifications, and even customer reviews, so you can get a comprehensive understanding of how the flooring will look and feel in your space. Moreover, Flooring Hut offers sample services, allowing you to order small pieces of flooring to see exactly how they’ll fit into your home’s aesthetic before committing to a full purchase. This way, you can compare colors, textures, and finishes in your own lighting and alongside your own furniture, reducing the risk of any surprises when it’s time to install. If you’re still unsure, Flooring Hut’s expert team is just a phone call or email away. They provide personalized advice and support, helping you navigate any uncertainties and ensuring that you’re 100% satisfied with your choice. Plus, many of their products come with satisfaction guarantees and easy return policies, giving you peace of mind that if something isn’t quite right, you have options. Why Personal Life Coaching Is Essential for Our Well-being
In the modern world, where life moves at a relentless pace and demands seem never-ending, many individuals find themselves overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to navigate the complexities of their personal and professional lives. In such times, the guidance and support of a personal life coach can be invaluable. Personal life coaching has emerged as a powerful tool to help individuals gain clarity, set meaningful goals, and achieve fulfillment in various aspects of their lives.
So, why is personal life coaching important for our well-being?
1. Clarity and Vision
One of the primary benefits of personal life coaching is gaining clarity about what you truly want in life. Often, individuals may feel lost or uncertain about their goals and aspirations. A life coach provides a supportive environment to explore your values, passions, and strengths, helping you gain clarity about your life's purpose and direction. With a clear vision in place, you can make more informed decisions and take meaningful actions towards your goals.
2. Goal Setting and Accountability
Setting goals is essential for personal growth and development. However, many people struggle to define their goals or stay committed to them over time. A personal life coach works with you to set realistic and achievable goals aligned with your values and vision. They provide accountability and support, helping you stay focused and motivated even when faced with obstacles or setbacks. With the guidance of a coach, you can break down larger goals into manageable steps and celebrate your progress along the way.
3. Overcoming Limiting Beliefs and Fears
Often, our own limiting beliefs and fears hold us back from reaching our full potential. These negative thought patterns can undermine our confidence and prevent us from taking necessary risks or pursuing our dreams. A personal life coach helps you identify and challenge these limiting beliefs, replacing them with empowering beliefs that support your growth and success. Through techniques such as cognitive reframing and positive visualization, you can overcome fear and self-doubt, unlocking new possibilities for personal and professional fulfillment.
4. Improved Relationships and Communication
Effective communication and healthy relationships are essential components of a fulfilling life. Whether it's with family members, romantic partners, colleagues, or friends, the quality of our relationships greatly impacts our overall well-being. A personal life coach can help you develop better communication skills, set boundaries, and resolve conflicts constructively. By improving your interpersonal dynamics, you can foster deeper connections and create more fulfilling relationships in all areas of your life.
5. Work-Life Balance and Stress Management
In today's fast-paced world, achieving a healthy work-life balance can be challenging. Many individuals struggle to juggle the demands of their careers, personal responsibilities, and self-care. A personal life coach helps you prioritize your commitments, set boundaries, and manage your time effectively. They assist you in identifying areas of imbalance and implementing strategies to reduce stress and increase overall well-being. By achieving greater harmony between work and personal life, you can experience greater fulfillment and satisfaction in both domains.
Conclusion
In conclusion, personal life coaching offers a powerful framework for self-discovery, growth, and transformation. By working with a skilled coach, you can gain clarity about your goals, overcome limiting beliefs, improve relationships, and enhance your overall well-being. Investing in personal life coaching is not only an investment in yourself but also in your future happiness and success. With the guidance and support of a coach, you can unlock your full potential and create a life that truly reflects your values, passions, and aspirations.

Rumble in controllers
Ever since the conception of force feedback back when the N64's rumble pack came out, it has been crucial in the immersion of console video games. A lot of people don't realise the impact well placed feedback can make. For example, the use of vibrations in the metal gear psycho mantis boss fight where the force feedback was used to move the players controller.
youtube
This full immersed the player in the boss fight and made them feel included with psycho Mantis' powers. This game is decades old and nothing like this has been explored quite as well in modern games.
These vibrations can also be used to add a level of satisfaction to menial tasks in most video games, such as fishing in Stardew valley or after shooting a gun in an fps game.
As part of the alternative control topic, I need to learn how to use input mapping to get force feedback from controllers. as of unreal 5.1, the inputs are all handled in data assets rather than in the inputs in project settings, this allows for more customisation with the inputs and is generally more efficient.
I created a new input action and changed the settings around to something I was comfortable with. You can change what sort of input you want like a hold or tap and then how long you want the player too hold before the input occurs. I went for the hold input with a 1 second hold time.
To get any of these inputs to work you have to add them to input map to be able to use the enhanced input node in my player controller. To do this you can open the IMC_Default and add the rumble as a mapping. You should also change the trigger settings to what they are in the input actions because I didn't and it wouldn't work properly. I wanted to use a controller and keyboard so I added inputs for both.
Now it should be recognised as an input, I can put a print string off of the IA_Rumble input in my player character to make sure it works, which it does. The rumble itself is created through a force feedback blueprint.
To edit the rumble, unreal gives you a graph to put keyframes on, the keyframes mark the points you want to give the player force feedback and how strong you want it to be. For example mine has a rumble with a strength of .02 at .2 seconds.
I had this a lot higher but it becomes very difficult to differentiate between the stronger and weaker vibrations. Now I can add the node client play force feedback and use my PulseFF blueprint as the effect.
When I play the game and hold A or space for 1 second, my controller will vibrate going between 0 and 0.02. I also left loop on so the vibration doesn't end.
As for practical uses in my game, I thought it could be cool to have some feedback when sprinting or walking so I added a play force feedback and stop force feedback after my sprint inputs.
I did find that there wasn't a value I could find and I could see how it could irritate players.
Something I can do with the rumble is give it to an actor with an attenuation radius meaning the closer you get to the actor the more your controller vibrates. I think this would be a perfect tell that you are being hunted by the monster. Not to mention, vibrations from the controller when you don't know where they're coming from instils fear pretty fast so I'm going to explore this further. So far I've created a new actor that just has a force feedback component.
I set the effect to the PulseFF again, and I made a force feedback attenuation blueprint and decreased the falloff, also adding it to the force feedback component.
This works extremely well. It feels infinitely more significant than just having it when you sprint. I'm going to give my monster AI a force feedback component with these settings to give the player and indication they're being hunted.
Something else important to mention about force feedback with my controller in particular is that the N64 used rumble packs to emulate vibration. I don't know how possible it would be to take advantage of the rumble packs so I might have to opt for a USB controller instead of the original.

" Well, not in the criminal circle I'm sure. " UNLESS everyone hated that person he supposed ; but even then it is unlikely. What if you're the next threat? Not to mention the power vacuum. " But ordinary people. The mother taking her children to school, the grocery store clerk, the train operator. The common person wouldn't blame you for killing. Most would be on your side if they ever happened to find out and the reasons that drove it. " Except that means being DISSECTED, parts of you revealed for others to gawk at under morbidly curious eyes. He can't imagine that to be pleasant. " Most likely so from what you've shared and I've deduced about him. " Seems his assumptions back in the garden so long ago had been spot on. " Bad for his image, both for that and people might have begun questioning his strength or control. PEOPLE IN POWER LOATHE THAT. " It had been a weakness Chishiya exploited time and time again ; to win games and his own entertainment.
It isn't that Chishiya needs time to think about it. He's concerned with the fact he HAS that time. If he can think to burn people alive within the first ten minutes of a game, what could he think of with days? weeks? months? It feels like HYDROCHLORIC ACID in his chest, eating away at the armor that makes up Chishiya. Rot spills out ; vile and appalling because he knows he'd take a sick kind of satisfaction with it. " I don't mean it like that. " Chishiya says softly, one hand resuming combing through her hair. He can't fault her interpretation of his words ; he knows how it sounded. " When I say I don't know what I'd do, I more mean how monstrous I'd become. " Although he arguably already is one. Most people greet the morning with optimism, but they're not most people.
" Oh. " Cesar make sense, especially within the grand scheme of the conversation. But ROMANCE has never been something that was at the forefront of Chishiya's mind. He doesn't know how to offer comfort for that kind of regret. " Young or old, people do a lot of insane things when they're in love or infatuated with someone. " He's witnessed and heard many stories. " At least you're still here. There's worse endings. " Is it comforting? He purses his lips for a moment and then gives a RESIGNED sigh. " Sorry. I'm not very good at this. " But he tries ( FOR HER ) , and that speaks volumes in of itself.
He doesn't move as she stirs slightly ; assumes she's simply getting more comfortable after hours of sleeping in the same position. Instead, he feels a gentle kiss against his cheek and the shock makes a tiny, ALMOST inaudible noise slip. That's never happened before. In the end, he decides to do nothing but offer a gentle squeeze in reply as she hides herself against him. " Mm, Tokyo or my place? " He feigns ignorance but the smile in his voice reveals the fact he knows.
" when you kill a criminal, people don't just let it go. " it's why it had taken her so long to kill césar, even when the thought had first appeared in mind years before it happened. some days, she thought death would be worth it, if only she got to take him down with her. others, she simply didn't want to die; it didn't seem fair to her to end up dead after everything he'd done to her. " césar took the blame for me, so no one gave a shit about it. not that he did it because he cared. i think he didn't want to be known as the guy with the murderous wife. i was just supposed to be a trophy. "
the affirmative answer brings the smile back to her lips. he'd kill for her. even for people like them, it has to be a proof of love, or something close to it. " i got lots of ideas. i've had plenty of time to think about all the ways i wanted to kill them. " she's not sure if she wants to return to her home country for yet another revenge quest ━ the first one had already taken plenty from her, and it didn't come with the risk of losing chishiya ━ , but it feels good to think about it. it always has; it's why it had been so hard to put a stop to the violent thoughts once they began. " but i'm sure you can come up with something. they'd deserve it, whatever it is. "
she shakes her head softly, the best she can without moving much from her position. " no, not the prosecutor. i meant trusting césar. none of it would've happened if never got involved with him. " she shuts her eyes, hating all the memories that rush to the surface, but helpless to stop them. " i get it. i was young. kids do stupid shit when they're in love. but i feel like i outdid everyone. " most people had normal heartbreaks around that age, not life-ruining wrong decisions that make memories feel like weapons even now, years after they happened. she had once told chishiya she envied him for his inability to fall in love. some days, she still means it.
he still manages to bring her warmth in the midst of her inner turmoil, and it's hard to believe that one day she ever found him cold. she shifts, lifts her head just enough to press a kiss to his cheek in a rare moment of bravery and vulnerability. it's brief, her soon returning to lay her head into the crook of his neck, but it speaks for many words. " i'm glad too. i like it here. "

“More,” he grunts into the air. Quilting the room in even more lewd noises as his lungs plant a gasp at the back of his throat, as you give him what he asked. As your hips continue that low rising bounce on his cock, and your fingers tighten around his throat.
“Like that?” You already know the answer, already know what he wants—what he needs—but you love how desperate he looks when his dark eyes look to yours. A satisfaction turning the corner of your mouth into something sly, as you bend down and hover your lips above his, “you’re so pathetic.”
You know if he wasn’t inside of you right now, if you weren’t riding his cock with vigor; the roles would be reversed, the mood change to one of cruelty and hatred. The fist around his throat becoming his around yours in anger, the despise in his eyes just as enticingly cutthroat as the look in them now.
Except there’d only hold malic, that hatred that would want to slam you against the wall and wring your neck until you took your last breath—use his saber on you to finally shut you up.
To rid himself of the humility of being bested by you, finally freeing himself from dealing with you.
The decade long rivalry and hatred of being on different sides, of wanting to do nothing more than conquer the other; instead of the constant fucking the two of you seem to always find yourselves doing.
That going on as long as the decade old rivalry, for as long as the two of you have hated each other—the intensity of that hatred turning into something with teeth that craved something as rough as lust fueled rage that left the two of you sweaty, bruised, and sometimes bloody.
You giving Kylo that humility he loved to hate so much, and him giving you the power of control.
Control over him. Over your own pleasure, sinful desires and thoughts; power.
You both knew when it came to real control, real power, Kylo ranked higher than you. His family name alone is enough to bring someone as less fortunate as you to your knees.
That’s why it felt so good—knowing like this, with Kylo stripped of everything and below you, you brought him to his knees. He let you fuck him like he was nothing, like you held this power over him, like a force.
There was some sickly connection keeping the two of you tied together, same insides of a rotting fruit everyone looked past; dangerous, poisonous, deadly.
And with your fist around Kylo’s throat right now you both knew all you needed to do was push down, to put all your strength in squeezing enough to catch him off guard and you could slam the knife in your boot through his chest cavity.
End an oncoming war before it even begins.
But there’s a festering wound of dread and betrayal that won’t let you; or was it that the two of you were so similar that you’d feel a scab missing from your body? A scab you keep picking at. You’d rather reopen it and heal it with licks and temporary bandages that you’re all too eager for him to tear off.
If anyone was to ever ask you’d forever claim Kylo Ren to be the worst tyrant you’d ever met, and couldn’t wait to put him down; out of his misery.
And right now, that thought—putting him out of his misery—makes you smirk for a whole other reason.
Every time you bounce down on his cock you dig your nails into the side of his neck, like a string pulling his mouth open, eyes glistening with a smog of submissiveness. The hand at your ass leaving indents in your skin with how he grips you back, the only roughness he’s feeding back to you.
His knuckles going a colorless red as his other hand grips your wrist, an indication to keep going, a beg for more, harder, faster, whatever he needs, whatever you want.
He’ll take it all, and wants it all.
“You’re trying so hard not to come right now aren’t you?” You chuckle around a moan, let your thumb move an inch up to the bottom of his jaw to pull his chin lower so you can put the pad of it against his lips. Your lips still hover above his, your eyes downcast and holding contact with his. “Does my pussy feel so good that you can’t wait any longer?” He doesn’t answer, only puffs of choked air wafting across your lips. “Tell me how good I feel, Kylo. Scream it. Let your little army know how pathetically desperate their leader is, maybe they’ll come watch. See how weak you get with my hand around your throat.”
“Fuck you,” he grunts, scowls. Tries to put on that tough face. That face that only means he wants more. Wants your words to cut him until it’s licking at that poison inside of him. Until you’re both drunk on it.
You smile, “I see how it’s going to be tonight.” You push your thumb into his mouth, nail digging into his tongue. Your hips stopping, his cock feeling even heavier inside of you now that you’re no longer moving. Kylo wraps his lips around your thumb without you having to ask, looking for a praise that you’re not going to give him. A praise he doesn’t deserve—a kindness neither of you deserve.
Instead you press harder against his throat until he’s gasping, until you have to tighten your legs around his hips to stop him from bucking up into you. A moan slipping from your mouth when he returns the pain with sinking his teeth against the skin of your thumb. Your cunt clenching around him, begging you to move, to return the bite.
“Tell me how good I feel and I’ll let you come, promise. Or I’ll choke you until your last breath, and I’ll swallow it down. Be the last thing you see, feel. I’ll be the hero of the galaxy.” Your breath his heavy, hips doing the slowest roll, getting off to your own words. To the throb of his cock against your walls. “Say it. Say. it.”
Your grip loosens on his neck, enough for him to speak, to spew out a plea of heavy words. “You—” Kylo swallows, eyes rolling back just as your hips rise and fall along his length. “You feel so good, fuck I hate–you–ahh.”
Your hand aches from how long you’ve been choking him, so once you’ve moved it, as he’s moaning against your lips as he comes, there’s a satisfying relief in your fingers; your bloodstream.
“Pathetic.” The smirk that spreads across your lips matching his own.
