They’re a few months older than I am and I don’t remember my life without them- my idols, then my peers, and now time has gifted me this new lens of seeing them as the children they’ve always been, and it’s awkwardly on that note I say happy 40th birthday fellas. And sorry I haven’t drawn you for almost 2 decades.

TMNT fandom largely ignores the Next Mutation live action TV show (1997.) Written & produced by Saban (Power Rangers,) it was for little kids and the writing reflects that.

...But I've been watching lots of intense cdrama wuxia series lately! There's so many amazing Chinese fantasy fight shows!! The idea crept in my ear and made a nest in my brain. What if the crew from TMNT 2012 and Mei Pieh Chi (Venus) fought a world-killing dragon in a kickass, high-stakes, kung-fu fanfic?

TMNT 2012 aired in the US 12 years ago today!!

This iteration was the one that originally got me into ninja turtles. It's the OG in my head. I was six years old when it came out, and yet I waited until I was 17 to start liking it 😆 it's my favorite of the iterations I've seen & it's very special to me. 2012 my beloved.

Overhauled the TMNT page. It's now focused on a more general version of the characters, like the Marvel and DC pages, instead of specific iterations. Mona Lisa is still 1987 only, and Irma is still 2012 only though.

Added Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael to the TMNT page (fucking weird I didn't have any of them already right?)

Added a new Elseworlds page for specific verses. Currently features; Arkhamverse, Batman vs TMNT, DC Superhero Girls, Injustice, TMNT 1987, TMNT 2012, and TMNT Bayverse. Currently a work in progress, will add more to it later.

Removed the DC Superhero Girls page, moved them to Elseworlds.

Yes! He knows some really basic words like "yes", "no", "up", "dada", "pizza" and the nicknames for each of his siblings. First word was "food" taught to him by Leo. His favorite word (oddly enough) is "booyah" which he picked up from a random tv show.

We always start with teams but it usually devolves into a free for all by the end of the day. Hoppy wants to get us all...that's all that matters to her, heh.

Kickin tried to catch Bubba off guard with the SuperFlooder9000tm, since Bubba always gets the better of him.

Crafty has gotten better with her magic! For better or worse! Picky thought she'd be an easy target.

We lost track of CatNap pretty early on. I don't think he enjoys water balloon fights very much. But he is an expert at hide n seek!

A/N: I've struggled with how I want to draw Catnap for a while and even now I'm still not sure if I like it. But eh, I'm already guilty of changing how they all look in the middle of drawing them. Consistency? What's that??

Probably can't tell but Hoppy is yelling 'booyakasha!'.
