It me! Credit to @joffyworld's unbridled enthusiasm and encouragement for my OC ♥ I wanted to share this character reference as well. Don't forget to peep them on (Art Fight)! While they are my fursona by means of interactions and representation, I've been leaning into an au of sorts where she's a druidic sigil agent that exists in the same universe with my alt sona, Somnio (seen here). Whom is an alchemist who could craft and provide the proper inks and wards needed for Mida's sigil work etc. Mida is all around beach bum. Combination of: Spectacled Caiman, Booted Racket-tail Hummingbird and Peacock. Or just "peacroc" by my own words.

(Edit: I have no clue why the quality became so bad on here. Feel free to tap for better quality if you want!)
Different versions and info below the cut:
Here's a ref of my gryphon oc, Emeir, a half booted racket-tail hummingbird and half cinammon tabby cat! I’ll be posting info about my interpretation of gryphons as a species here eventually, but in the meantime, here's some info on Emeir themself:
Unlike most of their kind, Emeir has struck out on their own to live in bird society. With their small size, ability to hover, and most importantly their remarkable interest and ability for working on machines, Emeir is incredibly adept at fixing up and improving airships both in and out of ports. Because of how heated it can get within the airships, they wear earrings made out of gems instead of metal. They also seem to have a concerning obsession with volatile materials, and are willing to risk their life in jobs no bird would ever willingly take if they had any other choice just for "the challenge of it".

Calliope hummingbird vs Vervain hummingbird
Costa’s hummingbird vs Anna’s hummingbird
Ruby-throated hummingbird vs Red-tailed comet
Black-tailed trainbearer vs Long-tailed sylph

Horned sungem vs Purple-throated carib
White-booted racket-tail vs Sword-billed hummingbird
Glowing puffleg vs Rainbow starfrontlet

I'm not certain when I'll be finished making the visuals and fact blurbs, but I'll make an announcement when I am. In the meantime, I will be opening up the submissions form for our bracket after this, which will be a sort of sequel: non-Apodiformes Strisores birds, abbreviated to "Other Strisores." This includes nightjars, owlet-nightjars, oilbirds, potoos, and frogmouths.

Female White-booted Racket-tail by Adam Rainoff Via Flickr: The female White-booted Racket-tail (Ocreatus underwoodii) hovers elegantly near a vibrant purple bloom at La Minga Ecolodge, close to Cali, Colombia. Capturing this moment was both a technical and creative challenge, as I chose to shoot with an unusually low shutter speed of 1/180 second on the Canon R5 paired with the RF 100-500mm lens at 500mm. The slower shutter allowed me to emphasize the movement of her wings, creating a sense of dynamic energy while keeping her head and body in sharp focus. Her iridescent green plumage and fluffy white “boots” stand out beautifully against the soft, blurred greens of the Andean cloud forest—a testament to Colombia’s extraordinary biodiversity. What makes this species particularly interesting is the striking difference between the male and female. While the male White-booted Racket-tail boasts long, racket-shaped tail feathers that give the species its name, the female, as seen here, has a more understated and compact appearance. This distinction highlights the diversity even within a single species and adds another layer of intrigue to photographing hummingbirds. Shooting at La Minga Ecolodge, a haven for birdwatching, was an incredible experience, offering access to some of Colombia’s most spectacular hummingbirds in their natural habitat. ©2021 Adam Rainoff Photographer
