Do you ever think about how Fakir, after him and Ahiru finally broke everything that kept the town of Goldkröne in the ghostly hands of its writer, after they finally have some air of peace over the town finally being able to live in its intended early 2000s environment, that Fakir still feels at times like it's not real and that for a while he fears that if he closes his eyes it'll be back in Drosselmeyer's control. Like it just doesn't feel real to him during that first year of calm, until he feels the dull pain on his recovering hand injury and Ahiru who follows him without a pendant anywhere to be found.

He doesn't feel it's real, the calm finality of this town, but he makes sure to feel the scar on his hand. And he makes sure to hold the little duck and realize that she is who she has always been. Him and the town are finally living peacefully.

Bagi, who was previously "invited" to a mysterious island/city by its elected official, subsequently trapped on the mysterious island/city, investigated the deep mysterious history of the island/city, came to no conclusions, found her brother after years of searching, was separated once again from her brother, gained and lost an adopted daughter (possibly to being kidnapped by the island government, which was evil), gained and lost a demon fiancée (possibly to being dragged back to hell, so there's no way to find her), gained and lost a close demon friend to dubious circumstance (did he die for his children? is he with skeppy in the gas station?), and has had an unknown amount of time to process and/or suppress all of this: Sure! :D

Shadow and bone (the show) is great actually and all people who say its ruining the crows stories and characters are party poopers because its very evident that the shows changes were written with the source material in mind. Literally so many (not all, but a lot) of the things saw people complaining about not being book accurate made a lot of sense in the context of how SoC was being adapted into the S&B story line and it still fundamentally respects the source material

i don't want this blog to be anything other than silly little boom shits but i've been thinking about how the reason i can never stay in this fandom for very long at a time is probably that this fanbase is largely made up of freaks, weirdos, snobs, people who think being rude and demeaning is a personality trait, and people who are addicted to discoursing about characterizations of the sonic characters with no breaks in between. i don't think that last one is inherently bad or lacking in value but as an adult with a job it's incredibly exhausting that some people (especially on twitter) will write 40-tweet threads about why the sonic from prime isn't actually the sonic from the games over and over again and it's like. don't you ever get tired. like it's great that you're so passionate but i personally can't understand being able to keep up with and even relish in nonstop debates on what the "correct" way to handle the characters is. i'm just here to have fun with the franchise about the superpowered animals tbh nothing more nothing less

im trying to wrap my head around why i dont get enthusiastic about reddit style fiction (not a dig but a descriptor) like scp and shit like that, bc its not that i can’t enjoy them but i think its like… when stuff is framed as if it were real, but its fiction, its like, well KNOWING its fiction eliminates a huge element of the intrigue, but also, crucially, i like character-driven stories, or at least stories WITH characters. but i also like it when things are interesting for said characters to experience, like, i want the ghosts and monsters and conspiracies but i want the characters to be character-ing, yknow? not that i dont enjoy slice of life and… what would u call the first thing, non-character specific horror? idk? but i prefer when its both. its like i love kirk and spock but also i do enjoy watching them Experience Situations when i watch star trek. i enjoy the idea of spooky national forest monsters that arent real but experiencing it alongside a character would be better, and i want more trans and gay characters whose lives are clearly trans and gay but i want a plotline to unfold too
