you know what i want in a magical girl anime?

you know that episode of healin good precure where Cure Fontaine/Chiyu helps a young girl from the americas named emily (who's staying at her family's hot spring inn) to adjust to japanese culture before the megabyogen shows up?

i want that but it's a american tourist who's just...not fluent at japanese at all.

so there's a language barrier involved, so the magical girl and tourist have to communicate using the basic stuff in the tourist's guidebook and the magical girl's own limited english knowledge. they still become friends at the end and stuff thanks to the magical girl's help.

bonus points if the humans turn into the magical girl monsters of the week and the person doing the corrupting is told, nonchalantly and with no fear, just the slow pronuncation and the fumbling of a japanese-to-english guide, that she/he/they don’t speak japanese.

even more bonus points if the magical girl baddie proceeds to say YOU ARE DOOMED, I AM BAD GUY or something in broken english and it freaks the tourist out enough for the baddie to fully corrupt them.

a bit of personal writing advice

i remember when i was considering making a new story with aianna after leaving a server that had some issues where I used the character to rp, i remembered some advice from a book on how to write comics.

it said that if you really think about it, batman is an absurd story. guy in a batsuit fights crime against a clown, a guy with two faces, a cat in latex and a scarecrow.

and yet it became a cult hit. so the book said to never doubt any idea you have bc it could be the next sleeper hit.

and even though i read it as a child that advice has stuck with me, and im glad it did. Now @magicalrobodokiofficial is one of my most popular series (304 hits, while not that much to some people, is more than twice the views i've gotten before, and on deviantart i'd get 100-200 views per chapter).

I had the best dream ever last night

So there was this contest some studio was having where you could write the main character’s struggle/main conflict and you’d win a chance to play a minor corrupted monster of the week role in the film

(it was a magical girl themed movie, magical Robodoki in everyrhjng but name, and for some reason jack black with his bowser voice was the main bad guy)

I won the contest and not only did the main character struggle with people not getting her autism in a frank and realistic depiction, but I got to meet a bunch of the runner ups on set, pretend to be corrupted, and watch the finished product at the premiere.

Also the main actor was my self insert oc.

@doobledabbadoo hi last night I had a dream where I went to go see a movie, and your Cookie specifically starred in it and I fully remember a scene where he got a fire-flower-type power up and had a whole magical girl transformation into something along the lines of this, and he said “You’re toast.” Before attacking his enemy?? 😭 Either way I felt legally obligated to draw it so consider this gift art, blame my dream lol

(also his hair DID change to the color black in my dream but I didn’t like how it looked so i kept it brown here)
