I remember there was an unendurable sadness in me; I wanted to cry; I was constantly astonished and anxious: it had a dreadful effect on me that all this was foreign, that I understood. The foreign-ness crushed me.
— Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Idiot

All that leaves. Was never meant to stay.
All that leaves. Was never meant to be chased.
My bad days are precious to me.
I remembered the faces of all those who leave.

🖤 Happy 2025! My physical reading journal is absolutely gorgeous and I can’t wait to use it!!! My goals this year are:
1. I will make reading a cozy hobby for myself again.
2. I will haunt the shelves of more indie bookstores.
3. I will read 100 books!
4. I will use social media in ways that feel good to me.
What are some of your 2025 goals??

Hello, everyone!
I know there are a lot of book BINGO games going on, so may I submit these two books for your consideration?
A few stats you may find useful in your BINGOing, the books contain:
Disabled MC
first love
sapphic MC
multi POV
superheroes
ace MC
trans MC
nonbinary MC
lesbian LC
bi/pan MC
found family
mystery (book 2)
scifi
near future
family drama
book set in fall (book 2)
book set in summer (book 1)
first kiss
indie author
The first book is free as an ebook Gumroad and Itch, and as a paper book or audiobook from the usual suspects. Book two is cheap on gumroad and itch, and available wherever you get paper books. The audiobook is still in process. ALL money goes to proven climate orgs.
Please feel free to reach out if you're wondering about content warnings or other potential BINGO card fulfillment.

So my goal this year was to read books I wouldn’t normally read. I always struggle to pick my next read so I decided to create the #CriminalMindsReadingChallenge. It’s a list of every book, play, poem and graphic novel mentioned, referenced or shown through out the seasons (not including opening and closing quotes).
I have digitalised the list if anyone wants it.
Seasons 1-9 are on my instragram now. I just ask you reference me if you share or post on your bookstagram :)

You know, in my opinion, being ridiculous is sometimes even a good thing, and better that; we can forgive one another more quickly, and acquire humility more quickly; after all, we can't understand everything at once, we can't begin directly from perfection! In order to achieve perfection, we must first of all fail to understand a great many things! And if we understand too quickly, we may not understand very well.
— Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Idiot

Meme Monday! Who else can relate? 😂 Honestly, any book I see gets my attention, at least for a few minutes! I need to get better at reading the books I have (at least some of them!) before I get new ones. That probably isn't going to happen any time soon, seeing as I will be going to a bookstore cafe this weekend 😂
