I have to say, I just love his writing. It’s sucks me in every time. This was a story of love, loss, regret, and death. It made me feel all the emotions. I cried at parts, struggled to hold it together, and laughed at others. It’s a story of life and all it’s choices and how we come to terms with them in the end. All of us experience death in one form or another and all of us will die in the end as none of us get out of this game called life. We can face death with fear, anger, denial, and hopelessness or we can accept it, understand it, and see it for what it is…the continuation of our journey, whatever may be on the other side. If I could recommend a book to anyone going through loss and grieving it would be this one. It was a beautiful and poignant story with depth of feeling and understanding. I loved it. ⭐⭐ Quem diria que eu chegaria a compartilhar um livro duas estrelas. O livrinho desgastante, que da nervoso, alguns momentos eu me perguntava, se eu estava lendo aquilo, rindo de nervoso. Por mais que a vontade de desistir fosse grande eu terminei. E eu fiquei me perguntando o porque desta história, histórias que podem se cruzar com a realidade, mas é ficcional . Leia e me fale o que acha. . Pois é, não julgue o livro pela capa; mas apesar do livro não ter uma capa belíssima eu comprei porque a capa me chamou atenção. Mas a decepção veio com nome. A história de um cidadezinha interiorana, onde um jovem se questiona durante toda à historia sobre seus passos, sobre o porque de estar ali. Um sequestro, uma paixão, aliás a descoberta do que é gostar. Toby, Shelby adolescentes que se envolvem por acaso, por uma tristeza e acabam se tornando íntimos. Shelby perdeu sua irmã mais nova que foi sequestrada pouco tempo depois de se mudarem pra cidade de Citrus. Nesse tempo se torna amiga de Toby, e ao longo da história, já conhecemos o responsável pelo acontecido. Porém o plot twist do final acaba dando um ar melhorzinho, mas apenas isso. Não se torna o livro bom, mas razoável.
