Post Canon AU!

Quan Yizhen and Shi Qingxuan strike up a friendship posy canon after Xie Lian finds the former Wind master again and takes Jim back to Puqi Shrine.

Unlike in canon Shi Qingxuan gets incredibly sick(via the conditions of Blackwater manor before he disappeared) and contracted a deadly illness. Quan Yizhen having isolated himself after his Shixiongs death and taking care of the body, Xie Lian also took Jim to Puqi Shrine so he didn't spend all his time with a corpse.

Slowly but surely the two bonded during the year Hua Cheng was gone keeping Xie Lian company.

Fast forward Hua Cheng returns and teaches Quan Yizhen how to repair Yin Yu, who then proceeds to run off a when he eventually awakens having been revived without his consent.

Quan Yizhen followed him and wore him down but then eventually snapped because Quan Yizhen was not allowing to process his death and revival nor respecting his boundaries yelling and chasing his former shidi out of Ghost City.

Which leads to the situation here.

Shi Qingxuan heard what happened and went to go comfort his friend and of course having to break to him gently that...

Yin Yu may not want any kind of relationship with Quan Yizhen anymore.
