Summary:

Credit: I was thinking about this post again and decided I wanted to try write a scene of the delivery! That and I always love family content.

Thinking about The Dresden Files: Specifically Bonea.

First of all: she deserved better in Battleground. The whole time, Harry is loke: I have to stop Ethniu to save my daughter.

Which daughter Harry? You have two. But he was only thinking of Maggy because she's his flesh and blood daughter while Bonea is just a spirit of intellect.

Second: I don't think Bonea is a spirit of intellect. Think about it. She is the daughter of Harry Dresden and Lasciel. Lasciel is a fallen angel. Which I think classifies Bonea as a Nephilim.

A Nephilim, as I understand it which I could be wrong, is the offspring of a human and an angel. And I think fallen angel still counts.

I hope I'm right and I want to see more of Bonea. I want to see her come into power. The best thing would be for her destroy one of the Coins. Either Marcone or Nicodemus.

A being of angelic power, but with the free will to take whatever action she chooses.

In my head, Bonnie's eyes are purple like Lasciel's.

Which one of her parents she means by "Mom" here is up for interpretation. Her grasp on human gender roles is a little shaky still.

Dresden Clan

A powerful family of wizards & magic-users, some of whom aren’t entirely human.

The clan’s patriarch is Harry Dresden 🔥, the Wizard of Chicago, Warden of Demonreach, the Eye-Killer, owner and head PI of *redacted*, Lord of *redacted*, Founder & Council Member of the Paranet, & all around scary MF.

His scion are nothing to scoff at either.

Margaret “Maggie” Angelica Dresden 🧙‍♀️🍃🌬️ _ Witch of the Ways

Maggie is the eldest Dresden girl, born of Harry Dresden & Susan Rodriguez

She travels the world alongside her sister Bonnie. Where trouble occurs, she is not far behind. She is ruled by her heart, soft & just.

Any who judge her as naive would be a fool. Her cunning and knowledge make her someone never to be underestimated. And she is quite unforgiving to those she deems irredeemable.

Bonea “Bonnie” Silkke Dresden 📖 💀 😇 😈 _ the Nephilim of Intellect

Bonnie is the second-born Dresden, daughter of Harry Dresden and the Fallen Angel Lasciel through a piece of her named Lash. She was originally a spirit of intellect. Bonnie’s father, fearing for his daughter’s freedoms, was able to give her a physical body of her own.

Bonnie travels with her sister Maggie, usually as a skull perched on a wizard’s staff. She desires to gain knowledge in whatever category. That includes experiences which can only be done in person.

She chooses to stay in her skull because, according to others, her appearance “scares the ever-living hell out of people, vanilla or not.” Just looking at her ethereal beauty makes one feel they are looking into the abyss and sensing that something with teeth is grinning hungrily back.

Usually, Bonnie is a quirky and sweet lass with a repository of knowledge she easily shares with those she trusts. But in hostile situations, god forbid she comes out to play.

Faith “Faye” Justine Raith 💗💘💖💅 🌸 🌹 �� _ Witch of Love

Faye, the daughter of Thomas & Justine Raith, was under the guardianship of her paternal uncle, Harry Dresden, since birth. The reason being *redacted*

Faye is a creature who exudes sweetness, charm, & charisma. Her playful girlish charm, however, is not all there is to her. Her sharp mind and dedication to her craft has allowed her to set up several thriving businesses within Chicago.

Jaqueline “Jackie” Rose Dresden 🗡️ 🩸😈👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨 👩‍⚖️ _ the Renegade Valkyrie

Jackie is the third-born Dresden scion, daughter of Harry Dresden and Karrin Murphy the Einherjar.

Jackie, despite being 5ft tall, is a force of nature, one who bucks at being controlled. Her blood sings during battle. She does, however, have a softer side. One that loves and desires to protect what matters. One who’d follow someone and something she truly believes in to the depths of hell.

She and her lover turned husband, Hendrick Gard, work as PI’s at her father’s firm. They also act as agents for her father’s less mundane territories.

Amanda “Mandy” Beckett Marcone 💀 👻 🥀 👩‍🦽👰🏻‍♀️👸🏻_ Goddess of Death & Rebirth

Amanda was born to Greg & Helen Beckitt. Her normal life was ended when she received a gunshot intended for another. Amanda languished in a coma on death’s door, her only real happiness when her guardian Johnny came.

Then it changed again. She felt better, but Johnny didn’t come as much. She soon however got a visitor.

It wasn’t until much later, after Amanda had woken up and was taken in by Baron John Marcone, that the young woman discovered the identity of her friend.

Zagreus, Greek god of Rebirth, son of Hades & Persephone, married his true love only after a very long, painful courtship. It would have been longer if not for Harry Dresden managing to persuade his consort Johnny to finally let the young couple marry.

The couple took their duties as gods quite seriously. However, they still managed to make frequent visits to visit their friends & relatives in Chicago.

Mandy blossomed under the love and protection of her family. She became a wise ruler with dedication, love, & serenity in her heart.

Malina “Mali” Alessandra Dresden 🌊 🌲🌆_ the Lady of Chicago

Malina is the youngest of her sisters, born from Harry Dresden after an “incident” with his now husband Gentleman John Marcone, Baron of Chicago.

Mali is a witch who feels a deep connection with Chicago. She is also a sweet girl who puts others first, often volunteering at local charities. Sweetness and goodness shine from her dollar bill green eyes.

If she needs to, she’ll fight. She won’t like it, but she will fight.

I wonder how differently some things may have gone if Dresden knew he was pregnant earlier. 

The largest potential factor being I don’t think he would have made the decision to arrange his own death in Changes after all, if he believed he’d be bringing his youngest down with him - perhaps he may have tried to see if she could have been delivered earlier, to still go ahead with his intended death otherwise.

Although that also raises the question in such a scenario of who he would have given custody of that daughter to...Maggie he wanted to disappear somewhere he didn’t know about, it’s not so “simple” to arrange this when the second child is a spirit of intellect.

Most of the listings of tenants are by parish, occasionally by town. In this compilation, Curator Dot Porter points out some of the notable aspects of the manuscript. Do we have any info on how power was passed from Rattlebones to Queen Flash? Or is that a secret for right now?

Yes, I do have info that I can share. In fact, I personally think I need to since it feels important to explain.

…Well, okay, not all of it at once. I’ll stick to what the Halloween Town citizens know, which is a decent amount.

At the end of Rattle-Bones’ reign, the original plan was to transfer the power over to Rattle-Bines’ daughter right after the stroke of midnight on Halloween. There was a ceremony planned and everything, with rehearsals done between them and the highest-ranking officials.

The problem is that they never got to have that ceremony. There was a grievous accident during the very last act that ruined King Rattle-Bones and caused the Princess to vanish. Though no one else was hurt or “double-dead”, fear and dismay soon took over the town. Who was going to lead now that both of the Rattle-Bones lineage were gone?

Thankfully, King Rattle-Bonea was the extra-prepared type (or really just a huge worrier deep down— who’s to say?). He left behind careful instructions on multiple scenarios for his once-servants to follow— One of them being the guidelines to electing a new ruler in case anything this drastic happened. They needed to look for someone with the makings of a great leader, the endurance of a master performer, and—most importantly— the ability to truly scare someone to their core. Even if it meant taking a less conventional route to do so.

For a month or so, the officials diligently combed through the town. They talked with everyone they could think of— From the Elder Croc who tended to the Pumpkin Patch to the Music Men scattered around town. Unfortunately, for one reason or another, no one seemed to fit the requirements. Not knowing what else to do, the officials decided to go inside Rattle-Bones’ old manor for one final meeting.

As they held that meeting, a towering figure glided right behind them. No one paid any mind to it at first, but the Royal Advisor quickly realized that this was no ordinary ghoul. “You there, in the back,” he was reported to have said, “do you have any ideas on how we can find our next Halloween Ruler?”

And, at that moment, the figure suddenly leaned against the backs of those chairs. Its fiery hair glowed and its eyes glowed bright. “Do I!” she shrieked out in glee.

That moment, some of those elders will tell you, was the thing that made Flash someone special.. Even if it was followed up by how to find a very terrifying measuring ruler and not a royal “heir”.

Long story short, Queen Flash’s transfer of power was a disaster-turned-hunt for the next royal. It took a bit for her to properly grow into her role, but she definitely fulfilled it by the time her first Halloween rolled around.
