I...just seem to hate myself...I guess...

No. What I have in mind with Cipher's Will is fundamentally the same.

I just think I still wanna add a few (like, I am restricting myself with this) characters from the Owl House and Amphibia for Cipher's Will.

The difference between this and Fragmented Falls would be that with Cipher's Will, its main focus is Gravity Falls and its rules. Plus, the characters of my choosing would have different races (ex. Sprig --and Plantars as a whole-- are human). Not to mention I very much wanted to play with the multiverse thing.

Whereas, in Fragmented Falls, everyone is virtually the same as their canon counterparts because the planets that have Amphibia and the Boiling Isles respectively are very prominent here thanks to Fragmented Falls' plot. Basically, it's canon (everyone is the same as they are in their proper canon), but with twists because of the premise (basically canon divergences)...

Although...keep in mind that I'm solely focusing on Cipher's Will currently...and there is a chance I may just abandon the Fragmented Falls idea. With what I was thinking for Fragmented Falls...its big. Like maybe One Piece big...and I don't think I'm ready to commit to that.

Not only that, but there is also a chance of Cipher's Will growing outside of Gravity Falls (be it other towns, states, countries, planets, dimensions, and wowza), but still focused on the Ten Zodiacs since Cipher's Will is their story, almost making it...smaller(?) in comparison to Fragmented Falls.

And, I think that's why I was able to click with what I was looking for with Cipher's Will. This is a story centered around the aftermath of Bill's influence and Weirdmageddon and their effects on (and off) the world with a major focus on the Ten Zodiacs.

The other characters (be it other GF characters, counterparts of a different show or OCs) are along for the ride, mere passengers (or stowaways, depending how you look at it) until they contribute more so to the plot.

...Typing this out made me realize that this is how characters in stories are initially structured. lol

Actually, a pretty awesome (and maybe loose) comparison I can use for this is an Anime/Manga called Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. For anyone unfamiliar with this anime/manga, feel free to ask and I will explain its premise and why I'm comparing it to Cipher's Will.

And I think that's where Fragmented Falls is waaay more challenging. There are soooooooooooooo many plot bunnies in Fragmented Falls that its kinda hard to pinpoint its story, where as Cipher's Will is way more grounded in comparison.

And since the multiverse is a thing...

Obviously, I get into that the further we dive in.

It's probably one of those things where I should see where it goes. I can easily make the tOH and Amphibia characters very minor characters that can help with the story when needed. They could gain major roles later or not.

I think as long as I remember the Ten Zodiacs are CW's MCs and I don't force other characters in, I'm fine.

— rigel was born on 13th march at 7:25am to penelope ‘penny’ thorne, a seamstress. when his father found out she was pregnant they were both young and unmarried and so disappeared, not wanting the responsibility of being a parent and leaving penny to raise rigel by herself.

— rigel grew up in cowes, living a short distance from queen victoria's residence of osbourne house. he and his mother lived in a beautiful cottage that had a large garden, two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a spacious living room. he spent most of his time in the kitchen, at the table, where the sun would shine its light the most and where he would draw with prized pack of crayons. this was the start of his interest in art and, with his mother’s influence, in designing clothes.

— rigel loved his mother more than anything. she was the strongest and kindest person he’s ever known. penny raised rigel alone (with the help of her own parents when they could) and never saw rigel’s father again. she taught him to sew from a young age and how to grow vegetables in their back garden as well as how to read and write before he even started school. she would also take him to the beach during the warmer months and they’d often go for walks through the countryside and to the market.

— two years later, charlotte returned to the island and announced she’d taken up a job with one of the local florists. for the time being she lived with rigel and penny and spent most evening cooking for them both to repay their kindness and generosity.

— rigel was 23 when he felt like he wanted more out of life. he loved his home and the people there, but he wanted to broaden his horizons. despite the guilt he felt for wanting to leave his mother behind, penny reassured him that nothing would make her happier than seeing her son make a life for himself with the girl he loved.

— rigel then had one last thing to do before leaving and that was to propose to charlotte. he did so during a sunset stroll on a quiet beach and up to that point it was the happiest moment of both of their lives. they bought a victorian terraced house, where rigel still lives today, and he found a job working at a big theatre whilst charlotte was employed at a florist around the corner from their home.

Erin is a very beautiful, attractive, and sexy witch (she's know to be the most sexiest witch in the Demon Realm). Erin is also known to be the one Disney character that should not be allowed on TV because of her appearance and behavior.

She's the empress of the Boiling Isles and she's married to Belos and is the aunt of Hunter. A lot say that Belos is one lucky man to have such a sexy wife like Erin. A lot of the members (mostly men) of the emperor's coven have a huge crush on her. Erin and Kikimora are rivals and they despise and hate each other very much.

She went to St. Epiderm for her educational years and studied plant magic. She was born in Latissa.

These are the succession rules according to Boiling Isles law, they’re extremely simplified.

1) Emperor’s spouse

2) Emperor’s eldest child (or nephew, in this case)

3) Golden Guard (Tristan, deceased)

4) Head of the Emperor’s Coven (Lilith Clawthorne)

Since Belos wasn’t married, the previous Golden Guard was killed (Tristan), and Hunter was 2 when he died. Lilith initially took over as Hunter’s Regent for the first 6 months of her reign.

When did this AU diverge from Canon?

Technically this AU diverged from the Canon Timeline around 400 years before the show proper, but I can’t share too many details, as it has something to do with Hunter and Corvin. Although from Hunter and Lilith’s perspective, this AU diverged when Belos died.

She has a lot of Willow's confidence and outgoingness, as well as Hunter's intense loyalty for those she cares about. They're also pretty chaotic and impulsive, no doubt getting that from her Tía Luz and Uncle Gus

The flags I have in the pic are as follows:

While Hazel likes dabbling in lots of different types of magic, trying to combine stuff and usually getting in trouble for it (usually some sort of destruction bc they don't know what they're doing lol), her favorite types of magic are beast-keeping and potions. When she's in the human realm, she definitely loves learning about animals from Abuela Camilla.

Hazel is also an ESFP and an Aries (in human terms, the Boiling Isles doesn't have a zodiac system). I'm not quite sure what they'd want to do as an adult but I'm thinking either some sort of party planning coordinator or maybe a full blown veterinary career. I could see her trying to pull both jobs in the human realm with Abuela Camilla and in the demon realm with Viney (I remember she said she wanted to open a vet clinic in the future during the Hunting Palismen episode).

Also their palisment, Scout, is meant to be a wolf, idk how clearly that comes across lol. I kinda found a wolf color palette online and kinda blocked in some stuff that felt right. Felt inspired by red wolves and Mexican wolves. I'd like to think the og gang managed to repopulate the palisman wood trees to become populous again, and either Grandma Eda or Tía Luz helped Hazel carve their own palisman. Hazel ended up developing a love of wolves from Hunter, also just loving their loyalty and family connections and what they symbolize, so that's how she ended up with Scout!

Also gonna emphasize them dying parts of her hair red in honor of Flapjack lol. She was probably gonna dye her hair at some point bc Willow does it and it looks cool, they just ended up going with red specifically after learning about Flapjack.

...Also Hunter definitely cried when Hazel said why she did it, change my mind.

Post-canon toh headcanons that nobody asked for (Mostly Luz and Vee)

Note: Most of these aren’t theories as much as just stuff I think would be fun. That being said, have at it!

-So I think Luz will eventually find a way to get the portal open and travel between worlds. I also have this (completely batshit) idea that the portal will only open about once a month: on the cusps of the zodiac signs. So Luz (and sometimes Camila and Vee) visit the demon realm once a month. Luz also winds up spending summers at the owl house.

-The first time Eda and Camila meet, it’s about a month since Luz gets back home. Eda is expecting Camila to be angry and blame her for all the danger Luz has been in on the Boiling Isles. Instead, Camila says this: “I’m so glad to meet the woman who kept my Luz safe in this hellscape.”

-They wind up passing Vee off as a cousin of Luz’s on her father’s side, and she changes her appearance to look a little younger than Luz. She starts human school in eighth grade as Violeta Noceda.

-Since mija is Luz’s nickname, Camila starts calling Vee preciosa (definitely not based on what my abuela calls me). In return, Vee starts calling Camila her aunt- first as a bit of a joke, but it sticks. Luz is absolutely thrilled.

-Luz posts selfies of her and Vee on both Instagram and penstagram saying Babe wake up new cousin just dropped. Amity comments But I’m already awake???

-When the portal was closed, Luz had no access to wi-fi, so she missed all the memes that happened in that time. Vee had to fill her in. Their favorite one is “there are many benefits to being a marine biologist.”

-On a related note, Luz teaches all her Boiling Isles friends about memes. Gus is fascinated by this part of human culture. Willow loves them as well, while Amity is pretty confused about how they work. Edric and Emira get really good at memes, but nobody can top Eda, the Boiling Isles’ resident meme master.

-Speaking of Eda, when the day of unity happens (in March) she and Lilith get their powers back! Eda’s thrilled, and Lilith is ecstatic, but nobody’s happier than Gwendolyn Clawthorne for her daughters.

-And speaking of Lilith, she’s TERRIBLE at memes. She makes unholy combinations of really old memes that just scream “How do you do, fellow kids”

-Gus is soooo happy to finally be able to explore the human world! His dad is kind of strict about it, but eventually he agrees to let Gus spend a few days with Luz in gravesfield. And yeah, they totally paint each other’s nails.

You know, given that it’s practically canon that Gravity Falls and The Owl House are part of the same universe, I have something I’d like to set forward. Digamos a headcanon of mine.

I think Philip Wittebane was the reason there’s that weirdness barrier in Gravity Falls.

In the journal that Luz has been learning the readings of, it speaks of Philip’s trial in finding a way back home. In the meantime he is coming to discover more and more about the Boiling Isles. I’d like to believe that he made it home, honestly what happens in Gravity Falls seems in enough support of it.

In the first episode of TOH, Eda tells Luz that the weirdness in the human realm is due to stuff from their world leaking into theirs. And get this, Ford says something practically verbatim in GF. Telling Dipper that another realm seeps into their world.

I’d like to suggest, that when Philip managed to find a way back home, he came to resurface in Gravity Falls. Across the U.S. from where he had originally come through, which was Gravesfield, Connecticut. Maybe even coming to discover that there was more of a link between Gravity Falls and the Boiling Isles which caused the small town to take more weirdness than other places would.

Seeing that Gravity Falls indeed had a gravitational pull of the Boiling Isles’ weirdness, he had managed to learn enough magic from the other realm to create the barrier, and hence the zodiac as well. And what Ford later came to discover from his own research centuries later, the manner in which to tear down the barrier.

I mean it makes sense to me. The barrier which miraculously kept even as powerful a being as Bill Cipher in, that takes some powerful magic. Philip could have come into a town where the weirdness would cause too much havoc on neighboring cities and states, and found a suitable way to contain it.
