Bruce squinted up at the older kid, frowning. Oh sure they didn’t look like a kid, and honestly had a ridiculous-looking suit of some sort, but he could tell. And seeing as he was in an unknown place- without Alfred- with several people after him- nothing new, he was the lone Wayne now after all- he figured it would be safer to stick together. 

Billy on the other hand, is inwardly sweating when baby de-aged batman comes sprinting around the corner and glares up at him for what feels like an eternity before ducking beneath his cape with a hissed “Hide me from those weirdos” Um. Okay, what is he supposed to do now in this situation???

I've gotta say I'm not a huge fan of putting Dragonese into the HTTYD movie franchise. The concept of a full-on dragon language they all share, that can just easily be translated into English, just really doesn't fit imo

I imagine they're a lot more like Orcas

There are universal ways to communicate with strangers of different species, like it's pretty easy to signal things like "i want to fight you" "i want you to leave" "it's dangerous here" "i'm in pain" etc. by just body language and vocalizations- but ways to communicate more complex ideas have to be developed and learned as unique dialects by different groups, especially flocks of dragons consisting of different species.

I imagine a terrible terror flock or a group of Speed Stingers have a lot of an easier time communicating with each other than a Thunderdrum and a whispering death do.

Dragons with their own dialects, cultures, and habits depending on location and group is really cool- I just don't think it should be a direct translation of how humans do these things, such as straight up language or mythologies or such.

A study of escalation in body language.

Gathering resources for clients to see some beginning body language.

Aayla was guarding my plate that she had been ignoring until Ryker came to sniff it. Both dogs were asked to leave the bed after, and both did without conflict or further escalation.

No bite or snap occurred, and I know both of these dogs well enough to capture some body language and then handle it. Ryker had in fact backed away and respected Aayla's warning.

by an awful horrible mistake that gave me a HEART ATTACK, i let my three out in the yard while pepperoni was out. but then they…were fine. it’s amazing what happens when dogs have space to move away, are in an environment where they’ve never had negative outcomes, and the instigator (renly) isn’t there. still, you can see how careful they are with her, especially baz. pep and ponzu have a positive history and occasionally play together, so you can see that here; ponzu even adjusts her play style to be more rough n’ tumble than usual. baz, meanwhile, wants to play with her but doesn’t know how, ceding rights to his toy as soon as she so much as looks at him. sivi’s strategy is avoid, avoid, avoid. we probably still won’t let them out together unless closely supervised, but this is a great video for dog body language.

I can understand if chihuahuas just aren't your thing, but I don't trust anyone who viscerally hates them. they aren't inherently evil they're just very small and vulnerable because we bred them that way, and are constantly having their boundaries ignored by people who think their distress is funny because they're small. if you went through life like that you'd probably resort to biting too.

I wish people would be more normal about chihuahuas specifically because they really aren't an aggressive or unhealthy breed. they only act Like That when they're being harassed. they're an ancient breed that has only recently been bred into unhealthy sizes & skull shapes & most people you meet with a chihuahua will have a mixed rescue anyways, & those dogs will typically live into their teens & even early 20's. "they're so aggressive!! they're rats!!!" they are thee most abused dog on the planet. I think if someone you cannot possibly fight against tried to cut your ears off & then threw you into a ditch you'd be pretty defensive & jumpy too

He’s so good with kids 🥲 he was such a good person to have on this broadcast fr, like he’s so engaging and open with them. I think they said they were nervous before this interview too so the whole thing is just so soft 🥺
