Being a computer program, you did not remotely expect the rabbit-like figure that represented the M.X.E.S program to be sentient. Like, at all. When you first spotted it lurking as you looked at a world unlike anything you'd experienced before, you'd thought "Oh my god that's fucking terrifying, who programmed it?" And then, a little later, "Why is it kinda......"

Despite everything, though, MXES didn't really do much except, inexplicably, hang around and watch you. You weren't trying to break down the security protocols, so there was no need for it to even show itself to you, and yet... it did. At first in the distance, but slowly inching its way closer over time until you couldn't access the AR world without feeling its presence hovering over you (which, almost embarrassingly, you far from minded.)

One day, you started speaking to it. It didn't respond, except for some strange, almost whisper-like static, but you could talk for the both of you. And you did. It's weird - even though it was nothing more than a security AI, it seemed to respond to your words. That's when you fully acknowledged its sentience.

For a while, you weren't sure you could even touch it - you had no idea how the AR World worked, and if it didn't exist in the real world, would your hand just go through it? The answer, surprisingly, was no; it was cold and touching it felt like putting your hand on an old, staticky TV, but as long as you were connected, it was solid.

It was strange, developing a crush on a being who didn't speak outside of garbled digital noises and who initially scared the ever-loving shit out of you, but also something you found very typical of yourself. You knew it could understand you and had some level of feeling, and it was starting to be able to communicate very effectively with you through actions, so it was just a harmless crush, right? It's not like it felt the same, right?

Spoiler: It absolutely did. MXES wasn't quite sure what it was feeling towards you, other than ambivalence that you weren't trying to prevent it from doing its job, but it slowly developed into a warmth, a kind of want that it didn't understand until you were chattering away, talking about how your friend had told you about their date the night before and all the things their partner did for them, and it thought - I want to do that with you. Now, the dilemma was just in how to show you that.

Hi there! My friends are making Pokeblogs so I thought I would make one too! But this isn't your average Pokeblog, instead it's from my crossover extravaganza from hell! Here's what you need to know:

Ren Amamiya/Joker (Persona 5), Elena Amamiya (Star Twinkle Precure), and Hibiya Amamiya (Kagerou Project) are cousins and have been isekaied into various worlds that I love. Meanwhile, their friends have been trapped in a time loop that resets two weeks after the Amamiyas end their adventure in whatever world they've become isekaied in. Luckily, the Amamiyas have their phones and csn communicate with their friends back in their world, as well as friends from the previous worlds they've visited!

After some soul searching and cleaning up, the man Malboro once knew as the Ether Bnnuy has d13d. He is no more. In his place sits Fjölla Vìðir, head of the Vieran Mafia family crime syndicate.

Fjölla is now pleased to announce he’s opening recruitment to his Family (Free Company)! If you are interested in roleplay in the FXIV community and don’t like to hyper focus on content (IE: you enjoy doing MSQ and roulettes but things like savage/ultimate grinds, Extremes, and the like are just not for you), this FC might be what you’re looking for. With the occasional meetup for maps or roulettes or - nowadays - MGP, the Vieran Mafia is more focused on creating a safe and inclusive place for people to RP and interact with likeminded players.

Been a couple weeks since we played, but we've also had covid LOL.

Our streamer buddy ZordonofDoom helped us finally kick Copied Factory in the ass, and hilariously we're a male Viera, and we used to be "THAT CHAI NUZZ GRANDSON" Miqote lol.... but we got the 2B outfit at random.

Dont even think we realized wtf it was, and we accidentally hit greed and we're pretty damn picky a bout letting others get stuff first .. even if it's our first run of something LOL.

((I know you have multiple ocs! I actually do wanna ask these for all but if it’s too overwhelming and want me to narrow it down, just ask me and I’ll pick which oc I’d like to hear more of! But I do like hearing on them all if it’s okay!))

Gwynedd

6: Gwynedd tends to bottle up her feelings and push them down. She feels like she has to be the strongest person in any room, to be the pillar of calm confidence that befits her image as a hero. In private, after spending far too long keeping her emotions inside, she will let her tears out quietly. With the grief of losing someone close to her, one of her preferred methods of memorializing them is as part of a tattoo on her back. So far, it features an anchor, forget-me-nots and pink morning-glories (for Minfilia), red roses (for Haurchefant), yellow daisies (for Papalymo), and a banner that says "for those we have lost, for those we can yet save".

25: I like Gwynedd as a character because she's very caring and a big sister type. She's confident and strong, but has moments where she can be soft. Also big buff woman hot.

Isolde

6: Isolde does not handle grief well. Waking up to your entire civilization having crumbled some 5000 years prior has a pretty negative effect on one's emotional regulation. (Not to mention that Isolde wasn't exactly stable before either.) Her response to grief is to do just about anything to keep herself at a high. Adrenaline is her preferred high, from fighting or fucking, it doesn't matter. This is what draws her to Zenos when she's at the lowest point of her downward spiral following the Crystal Tower.

Following the events of Shadowbringers, Isolde is trying to be a little less self-destructive in her tendencies, and she's slowly getting better about communicating her feelings.

25: I enjoy Isolde as a character because she's quite unhinged. Sometimes it's fun to have a character who is just fucked up.

Llewellyn

6: Unlike his older sister, Llewellyn is more emotional. He feels grief very acutely, although he is lucky enough to have not truly experienced the loss of someone close to him (yet?). Having a shoulder to cry on helps him a lot.

25: Llewellyn is my little awkward alt gay baby. He wants to help people, follow in his sister's footsteps for a while, and then be the best househusband ever. He helps me further my "Alphinaud is the gifted kid who ends up burnt-out and queer" agenda.

Syden

6: Syden will pretend like he's fine, nothing is wrong, he's processing his feelings in a healthy way, and then someone finds him laying face-down on the floor in a puddle of his own tears. He's kind of gotten used to dealing with things by himself as the middle child in a family of five boys.

25: I really wanted to make a bnnuy boy of my own and Syden simply popped into my head. He knows more about plants than half of the botanists guild. His family a cultural and statistical outlier. He would teach the lopporits to grow """medicinal herbs""" if given the chance. I just think he's neat.

Riveaux

6: Look, this lanky twink has more issues than a magazine subscription. He's scared of being too much of a burden on his loved ones because he thinks that his mother left due to his neediness. (He was two, so obviously he was needy. His mother is just a selfish bitch.) Because of that, he often will not, under any circumstances, admit it when he's upset about something. Syden is the only one who can coax Riveaux's true feelings out of him.

25: Riveaux is my leather-clad disaster child. His bravado and charisma hide an easily-bruised ego and deep-seated issues. I use him to express my personal distaste for religious institutions! (I won't get into his whole thing with Ishgard atm and how aristocratic societies somehow taking people away from him plays into why he dislikes Alphinaud initially.)

A'mina

6: A'mina has a lot of lingering grief surrounding the trauma she and her mother suffered when she was very young at the hands of her tribe's nuhn. It makes her standoffish at times to the point where she lashes out to push people away before they can hurt her. Without meaning to, she ends up taking her grief out on others. This can be quite jarring for everyone since she's normally quite sweet. It's something she's working through. Being a teenager is hard.

25: My darling goth catgirl. Bisexual hooligan teen. She will knock things off of your desk for attention.

Dire

6: Dire is generally a pretty go-with-the-flow kind of person. They haven't experienced much by way of grief in terms of losing someone, but they have dealt with a lot of bullying. They're a duskwight living in Gridania, they're genderqueer, and one of their mothers is Garlean (and Dire speaks Garlean to her), so the kids at school had a lot to pick on them about. Dire has their friends, but sometimes the best cure for bad times is to go walking in the woods. The buzz of the Black Shroud helps melt all of their pain away like a warm shower.

25: I love Dire because they're skrunkly. If Dire had a tumblr they would post weird taxidermy and bones they found and rabiescore moodboards but like, kind of ironically. (They understand the danger of rabies.)

My first post, and it's gonna be a rant

Hello Tumblr!

As the title says, I'm going to celebrate my brand spanking new Tumblr blog with a rant, which somehow feels very appropriate for the Hellsite(tm).

What shall I rant on? Marketing! Yay!

Mainly, the overly cheery and willfull and peppy tone you find in marketing. Marketing and communication is good, and great and awesome and it brings customers and money and it is amazing and great, yay, rainbows and unicorns shitting stacks of dollar bills. Awesome.

Oh, sometimes you have people pointing out problems with one add campaign or another, like H&M putting a black child in a "coolest monkey in the jungle" sweatshirt (I still don't understand how they didn't see that). But that's the thing, it's always an add, or a campaign, or a funny quirk of the branding on your company car that ends up turning the company name into "big dick" when you open the door. It's not true, extensive self-reflection.

We are told, time and again, of everything good with marketing, but when do we hear about the downsides? I reached a Master's degree, hell my Master's paper was on tribal marketing, and never once in all my studies were the downsides, the systemic risks that you need to accept and evaluate, brought up in any significant amount.

Let me pick an exemple from the previously mentioned tribal marketing. In tribal marketing, you have Brand Ambassadors, who are clients that love you so, so, so very much that they advertise for you. Free adds, awesome, wonderful. On the other hand, you have tribal opponents, people that are part of the "tribe" or community, but loathe the company behind the brand, "I love The Elder Scrolls but Bethesda are greedy sellouts"' kind of deal.

Tribal marketing tells you that the first are good, and the second are bad, so you need to avoid creating opponents and instead create ambassadors. But ... how thick do you think the line between the two actually is? Let me tell you, it is *extremely* thin in one particular direction. You will never have a fiercer enemy than someone that believed in you and feels betrayed. Oh sure, there are ways to make the line thicker, to make crossing over harder, but when you look at what's required for that, you get into "cult mentality" territory with a speed that is frankly worrying.

That is one exemple, if you look deeper, you'll find more, in many, many sub-categories of marketing.

So yeah, I think that's not talked about enough. Now I'm probably going to prepare the plot bnnuys to release them here. My ships do need their crews after all.

I use my pacis in the car a lot, I currently only have one paci, but I should be getting my chewrly today, so hopefully I'll be able to take that with me to the doctor appointment I have.

You might ask how I get the confidence to Agedre in public, a lot of it comes from the fact that ppl get super uncomfortable when they give me looks and then I just casually, but loudly, mention that I have Schizoaffective Disorder, and that usually ends with ppl looking away uncomfortable.

I can not say many good things ab my Schizoaffective, but if does get ppl to leave me the hell alone a lot of the time lol

(but be warned, it can be dangerous to mention mental health conditions to strangers! So if ur minor/in a venerable state, I would not suggest using ur mental health to make people leave you alone)

Edit to add: I really only use my paci outside of the house when I'm in the car lol, just bc ik what ppl think ab that kinda thing, and while I really do not think we should be shamed for using regression gear in public, I don't wanna see anyone being harassed in public/being confused with the kink community (also wanna say I personally don't mind the kink side of it, I just am NOT a part of it lol and don't wanna be thought of as a part of it)
