looking back at my initial reaction to this moment when it happened in the manga, i can't believe i didn't immediately realise that it wasn't supposed to be taken positively. as someone who's been preaching about shigaraki being an unreliable narrator for years, it's really weird that at the time i didn't realise that the contradiction in what hawks saying ('i had support') and what he's thinking about (his toy. he didn't have any real support, only himself and his dream) is intentional, and didn't notice that his speech-bubbles are shaky. he's not really fine or alright, but he's convincing himself that he is to keep going.

"Bonus points if its after the hospital arc" is Mic out here taking away Aizawa's knife privileges after sawing his own leg off? Because valid. Imagine Mic cutting Aizawa's food for him and just being like "... isn't this a bit excessive? I'm not going to use a kitchen knife to amputate my other leg". And Mic just sasses him back like "YEAH WELL I didn't think you'd cut off your own leg in general but here we are."

Hate BakuDeku? sure, think it’s a toxic ship? Sure and think that it’s a unacceptable ship? Cool go ahead, but don’t come out with the absurd take that a p*dophilloic ship is more acceptable! It’s actually not, and in fact it’s even more unacceptable than BakuDeku!

I don’t get why they chose Eri to say this shit, as if there aren’t plenty of other girls Izuku has interacted with and of age like *cough* Melissa *cough* Shield *cough*! Also the whole “It’s not p*dophilia because Deku is still underage” agenda is so ridiculous, it’s still p*dophillia! Izuku is still underage yes, he is a 16yr old teenager. Eri is a child, a 6yr old child. There is so much difference between them(not only age) that makes it a factor to why they can’t be a couple, such as emotional, mental and physical abilities. The power dynamics and I could voice more, but you get the point - relationship between a child and a teen isn’t acceptable or A okay! Izuku is also 3 steps(years) away from becoming an adult, when he turns 18 Eri will still be a kid and shit when he becomes 20 she would have only just gone into double digits(10yrs old)…still quite literally a kid!

At this point, BakuDeku would be a much more acceptable ship than that, or hell Izuku not ending up in a relationship all together is 1000% percent more acceptable than that! You really do have to be all types of weird, if you think that a child X teen(which would soon be child X adult) relationship is much better than a ship between those two! I’m 95% sure they said it to troll or to be edgy but still I had to rant, and I do have to say that why not just say you hate that ship and be done with it!

I swear the anime really missed out on showing danger sense in this episode 😩 when the civilians were rioting and shouting at the prospect of Izuku staying, they were so hostile that it triggered Danger sense in the manga! We can still see the hostility in this episode, but I don’t know I was kind of bummed that they didn’t add that detail!

So, BKDK’s apology has just came and gone, the splendid moments finally came to fruition and was animated but Twitter has me wondering!

Do you think Bakugou’s moment is a moment only for/about Deku? Or it wasn’t just about Deku?

So, this person was replying to another tweet, and they basically said “To the people saying the Bakugo moment was only about Deku… No it wasn’t” and well that got me thinking, would that moment class as only about Deku? Or not? In some ways I would say yes 🙌 absolutely it was only about Deku, and then again I would also say it was about Bakugou too! I mean I think it could actually be both, the first half of Bakugou’s moment is a personal moment between him and Izuku. Yes it’s being done in front of the whole class, but the apology wasn’t for the whole class it was for Izuku and Izuku only.

So, in a way I would say that yes the Bakugou apology was a moment only for/about Deku, as it’s a personal moment involving BKDK’s relationship. However, after Bakugou’s apology the speech moves on to OFA, the class and definitely feels more like it isn’t just a moment for/about Deku only!

All in all, I see what they mean it wasn’t a “only about Deku” moment, but at the same time it was in the sense of the apology was about and for Izuku!
