BNHA TOGA HIMKO'S THEORY
We all remember charapter 226 (v24-my villain academia) right?
If you not remember then is when Toga's backstory was explained for the first time
And we all remember this panel right?
Tumblr media
This is when we all thinked that Toga's real name wasn't Himiko but this theory was scarted long time ago beacuse of Gran Torino in the Bakugo rescue arc and now with the recent charapter that confirme again that Toga Himiko is her real name and not a villain name or others type of name(?).
So why the cencorship?
Well i have a theory that the girl wasn't says directely Toga's name but rather her sibiling's name
Like this:
name's sister
But you could say that if we haven't see him/her then why the name is censored?
Like with Shigaraki, her sister name was reveled with his backstory, so why all this mystery with Himiko's family members?
Because i think one of her sibiling is already in the series! That we already see him! And that it will be a Toga and Dabi parallel (in fact they were introduced togheter and they have already so much parallelism with their family dynamic and abuse)
But why the sibiling isn't fight with Ochako and Tsuyu for stopping her/his sister and save her?
Because we already seen this with the Todoroki plotline, Dabi and the Todoroki have a family fight! They need to let go of the past (but not forget) and be a family again (and I think the phoenix allegory is perfect for the whole family, in particular Touya/Dabi)
But Himiko need love, she already see the LOV as her family and friends so she has no needs to feel that type of love, she nedds to be love in a romantic way, this is way TogaChako not being Canon make no sense for the whole "accept your falling" and romantic plotline with this two!
So yes, i think The Monotoga sibiling theory might be true and that it will be reveled after the final war and finally we will see Toga's parents have consequences!
¡Spoiler warning for charapter 395¡
.
.
This is also why Toga won't die! I'm 90% sure of that!
.
.
So what are you thoughts about this theory?
(And if there are any grammatical errors i apologize and please feel free to correct me 🙏)

i’m not hating, and i don’t hate villain stans, but I’m just,,, genuinely baffled that they’re still like, around. Villain stans in general, let alone AFO stans that still stan the villains, i’m just like, surprised, I guess? maybe this is just mw in shock after witnessing how much destruction, death, and the copious amounts of trauma that they caused with this whole war, but idk. Like, all this death isn’t on the heroes, let alone the students. This is on the villains, and i’m just shocked to see that people are still stanning them. Like, I support likin’ whoever you like, I’m just surprised is all! ^^
I’m sorry if this sounded mean or hateful, because it doesn’t come from a place of loathing of villain stans at all. i’m just a little shaken up

It’s been a little while since I’ve colored anything and I wanted to try my hand at an entire page, so of course I’d do something from chapter 226. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, even though it’s a pretty basic 2 panels, maybe I’ll try something with a little more background next time?

what i’ve learnt after chapter 226:
Tumblr media
toga is discount-monoma
and monoma is discount-all-for-one
which makes toga discount-discount-afo (with a hint of blood and pissed-off-uraraka)

BNHA 226!!! A bloody chapter!!!
Tumblr media
So much blood... It's like a Tarantino film
We begin with a flashback. People are recalling what she did to a classmate named Saitou-san. There are some unclear things here, like which one is Saitou-san; he's described as a popular kid so it's likely that Deku lookalike (or Shindou lookalike?) Is that one. Another unclear thing: Toga seems to be referred to as censored-san? So this implies that Toga Himiko might be a false name?!
Tumblr media
She is downright terrifying and I love it. I love that facial expression of hers up there as she's drinking her classmate's blood through a recyclable straw (I hope she washes it!).
We are treated to baby Himiko killing a bird with her fangs and her parents giving up on her. Again we are shown that quirks are curses as much as they are blessings for certain people. Most if not all of the persons in the LoV seems to have that in common--Shigs and his distorted past, Twice losing his sense of self, Spinner being discriminated against because of appearance, Dabi's body burnt and destroyed by his quirk.
In Toga's case, where her quirk requires her to cause injuries upon others by ingesting blood, the curse upon her is that she develops a morbid fascination for blood and death. As a child she killed a bird by sucking out all its blood. There doesn't seem to be malice behind it but its still animal cruelty. her parents are understandably disturbed and start to desperately "normalize her" against her wishes by telling her to stop being creepy. All the repressed energy finally burst in middle school, resulting in the scene above...
It's so hard to make a judgment call here. There's definitely a better way to go about it, but... If you were Toga's parents, would you attempt to normalize her too? Or will you allow her to expand her horizons when it comes to her quirk?
Tumblr media
In Toga's opinion, everyone is being annoying for judging her view of "normal" and for all the pity that comes with the unfortunate nature of her quirk. She's struggling from the exploded blood too; Kizuki describes her insides being damaged. That can't be good.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In desperation, Toga uses up her stock of blood from her attack on Ochako before. It's amazing to see Ochako's face again after so long, and with very interesting facial expressions too! I know she's at the brink of death and all, but it's so cute that she seems to be running on all fours in this panel
She says something about wanting to be close to people she loves... Wanting to be exactly like Ochako so that Izuku will trust her too. It's sweet in a way but also really scary?? Because apparently she loved that Saitou guy in much the same way too
Another thing--she has a stock of Camie's blood still! Oh, I hope she gets to use that in the future too, if only because it'll be interesting to see what she does with it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay okay okay okay okay hold the phone
Look at that. Toga... Copying a quirk. COPYING A QUIRK. COPYING A QUIRK?!
it's a new development, apparently it's a new facet of her quirk that came out when she was under duress. We've seen that happen in other people too, Koichi from Vigilantes comes to mind when he discovered he can fly. But... This this is a big deal??
Because one--her quirk suddenly got more terrifying; the LOV just got more powerful. If she had a stock of the most powerful heroes' blood--Endeavor, Hawks, Miruko, etc. If she had a stock of the UA kids' blood. Or Aizawa's blood. Heck if the others in the LoV will lend her their blood, imagine the havoc she can do. Her use is not merely for recon or camouflage anymore, it's pure imitation. She can literally become you and can do everything you can do up to a certain limit!!
Two -- a Copy Type Quirk, hmm.. censor-san, an elder sister, a mystery family with a copy quirk. Is... Is this seriously Toga-Is-A-Monoma?! Is this crack conspiracy theory really... Really?!
Okay that's a bit too much, but it's certainly interesting to think about
Tumblr media
So using all that she learned from watching Ochako, she executes the Meteor Shower move with living human bodies perfectly and does a lot of damage. Showing us what Villain!Ochako would do with her quirk if the tables were turned. Really interesting application Toga, it's gory like everything you do but well done
She gets some sense of satisfaction from destroying her body in a fight like Izuku has (geeze at this point they seem perfect for each other wtf). I like that her motives are simple at this point: stick to the guy who will get rid of everything you don't like. No cares about who will be the future king or whatever? Very good.
This is really messy.sorry I'm on the brink of a coma but I rly loved this chapter! I can't wait to see what else is going on tho. I hope the LoV kicks QLA butt already.

Explaining Toga’s “new” ability
So. I think it’s fair to say that we were all shocked by the new chapter.
Toga can use Uraraka’s quirk suddenly. According to Chitose, it’s because her quirk evolved in response to her perilous situation. Also, is Chitose dead? Based on the amount of blood, she probably is. It’s too bad, cause I wanted to see her developed more.
Anyway. Back to Toga’s quirk.
I think Chitose’s theory is wrong. Not only because it’s outlandish (and somehow no one else’s quirks have evolved like that even though lots of characters have been in potentially deadly situations) but because of this panel:
Tumblr media
Toga herself seems to know what actually happened here. And I think I do too.
Everything that we know about Toga’s quirk still stands. She can only copy visible traits. That means she can copy any quirk that is a part of a person’s physical appearance, like Tsuyu’s or Ojiro’s. Quirks that nee to be activated (like Bakugo’s or Tokoyami’s) or rely on stored up energy (like Midoriya’s or Eri’s) are impossible for her to use.
Uraraka’s is tricky though. She has to touch something with all of her fingertips in order for it to activate, but it probably wasn’t clear to Toga if her quirk activated automatically upon touch or if she had to activate it first. That’s why she was surprised when she was able to use it on Chitose and her soldiers even though she had purposely tried to use it on them. Luckily for her, Uraraka’s quirk is on all the time and must be the result of some strange property of her finger pads.
As for why she didn’t use Uraraka’s quirk to save herself during the provisional license exam, it’s possible that she hadn’t figured out how Uraraka’s quirk worked yet at that point. It’s also possible that she did know, but either didn’t realize she could use it on herself or wanted Deku to catch her.
So what happens next? If I’m right about the way Toga’s quirk works, that means she (thankfully) can’t use One for All. Since Uraraka’s quirk is so similar to Shigaraki’s, though, she can almost certainly use his. Which is terrifying. We definitely don’t need a second Shigaraki that knows how to become invisible. I do wonder if this is the reason why Shigaraki’s and Uraraka’s quirks are so similar? I’d always assumed that the similarity was just a coincidence, but it would be cool if it ended up being a plot device.
Thoughts? I love discussing bnha with people!

when I saw that panel I immediately thought about Michelangelo’s Pietà.
So the sculpture depicts Mary holding Jesus’ body on her lap after the Crucifixion. It’s very similar to Chitose holding Toga. Just like Jesus is a martyr, so is Toga, and Chitose wants to tell her “tragedy” and show her to the world: the first sacrifice (or better martyr) of the Liberation Army.

Almost all we know of Toga’s life is from what Chitose Kizuki/Curious tells us, trying to create her sensationalist story that will benefit the MLA cause. There’s some truth in it, I’m sure, but despite how certain Curious’s narration was, she asks, “Were my hypotheses correct?” That jumped out at me, reminded me that we still haven’t gotten Toga’s side of the story. We don’t know if all the facts are completely real.
Tragedy porn is a particularly insidious type of dehumanization, and that’s what Curious was trying to do to Toga. She arrogantly assumes she knows all about Toga’s life, her heart, her quirk, and already had a certain angle in mind. To Curious, Toga isn’t a person, she isn’t a girl who has her own feelings and desires and way of relating to her quirk; instead Toga’s made to only be what Curious and the eventual readers of the article sees her as - to be pitied, to be a lesson of a sort, to be an inspirational ‘scripture’.
People like Curious has made Toga’s life hard to live. She’s a different type than Toga’s parent that had Toga repress her quirk, but still just as harmful. Toga is fascinating case to be studied and fixed; Toga is a demonic child to be shunned and feared; Toga is an insane villain that needs to be captured - all turns Toga into an object to have others project their feelings onto.
It’s because of her patronizing attitude towards Toga, though, that Curious dies. Hubris before the fall. She underestimated Toga, she was careless, she only believed what she knew - “the brief definitely said she could only change appearances!” - and so she got caught in Toga’s Zero Gravity. And then Toga kills her, in a literal fall. Go Toga!
Of course, we’re continued to be fed biased information, in a meta sense - the manga acts as a sort of unreliable narrator: we only get snippets of what Toga is thinking, the character is a villain that’s to remain terrifying and inhuman, and the author’s insistence on drawing that ahego face objectifies Toga for a specific purpose as well. :/
Still, I like that Toga snatches back her story. There is a sense of melancholy - she envies the trust and closeness between friends and loved ones denied to her, she had to behave a certain way to have the world treat her a little better, she’s been on the run and it’s not because she enjoys running wild to serial kill. But!!!
Toga refutes Curious’s ‘facts’ and doesn’t see it that way - she’s happy, her use of her quirk is hers and her way of demostrating affection - and not the only explanation for why she does the things she does! She imitating the ones she loves, she’s watched them and got to know them, she finds comfort and power and strength in thinking of them. She wins her mini boss battle with that.
Toga’s going to live and die the way she wants. And she finally has someone to truly depend on - the League, and especially Shigaraki Tomura, who’s going to destroy everything she doesn’t like. She’s trusting him to do so.
