A Haru headcanon I've been sitting on for a while

So I've thought this for a really long time and I know I've talked about it in the discord server but I don't think I ever mentioned it here--

SO

I think Haru had a really sweet, loving, affectionate mother who adored and doted on him basically constantly since he was a baby.

And I think she died.

Probably at a young age (like 11 or 12 young-- maybe even 13. like def still a child but probably about to enter his teen years)

and I think that loss reshaped how he was forever???

for arguably the most formative years of his life he felt deeply loved in a way most people only hope for.

And then he lost that.

And that loss made him constantly chase adoration and affection trying to regain that feeling of being wholly loved unconditionally like that, but it also made him so absolutely terrified at the thought of growing that attached and experiencing that level of loss again.

He is both deeply lonely and completely terrified of actual love.
