I don’t ask for much. I just want a bag that’s not a canvas tote, a laptop sleeve with a strap, or a backpack that can fit my MacBook, my iPad, the keyboard for my iPad, my Kindle Paperwhite, my Kindle Fire, my reMarkable tablet, my MP3 player, two paperbacks, my bullet journal, a notepad for scrap paper, a multidevice charger, my external hard drive, my over-the-ear headphones, my bone conduction earbuds, my corded headphones, my tiny dog-shaped Bluetooth speaker, my electronics cleaning kit, my blue light glasses, my regular glasses, my little clip for cleaning my glasses, mints, gum, paper soap, my travel toothbrush, my pill box for my regular meds, Motrin, laxatives, an emergency gummy, travel paper towels, deodorant wipes, face wipes, nail polish removing wipes in case I get fidgety, scissors, a travel screwdriver, Band-Aids, antibiotic cream, rash cream for work, all the pens I could possibly need, spare crappy pens that I can afford to lose to give to people who need to borrow one, some sort of fidget toy, a detergent pen, travel utensils, tissues, a fold-up water bottle, gum, mints, slip-ons in a little bag so I can change my shoes if I get uncomfortable, a cell phone lanyard, and Gorilla Glue.

I want to talk about using AAC in public. This post wont have much about my personal experiences, it'll mostly be tips for AAC users using AAC in public. This post also is specifically referring to high tech AAC, not things like communication cards.
1. Being prepared is very important to successful communication in public (In general too, but in public especially!). This means making sure that your AAC device is charged and ready to use. It is also helpful to have a backup AAC in case your device malfunctions or runs out of battery. For example, you might have a printed version of your communication board, or maybe a backup app on your phone. This has been helpful for me a few times, I personally use the second option of having a backup app on my phone.
2. Prepare to probably have to repeat yourself if in a louder environment. You might need to turn up your devices volume or repeat yourself in noisy or crowded environments. It can be helpful to use headphones or earbuds to hear your device better in loud environments, I have personally never done this, but I think if you are only talking to one person, using wireless bluetooth earbuds from your device to them should work. If this doesn't work for you, and full volume still isnt loud enough, having the person you are speaking to view your message window might be helpful.
3. Be patient. Communication using AAC can take longer than oral speech. Becoming frustrated is perfectly understandable, and I become frustrated with my device taking longer sometimes too, but if you try your best to be patient with yourself, you'll likely be able to express and communicate better.
4. Use visual aids! Visual aids can be helpful for communicating as a nonspeaking person in public. For example, if you are trying to order food at a restaurant, you might use a picture of the item you want to order.
5. It is important to advocate for yourself and your communication needs. This might mean informing others of your communication needs and asking for accommodations. For example, you might ask for a quieter table at a restaurant so your device is more audible, or perhaps acsess to a charger in case it dies.
6. Practice. This tip isnt exclusive to using AAC publically, but it is really helpful for doing so. If you are learning another language, practicing will make you more efficient and fluent. The same goes for AAC! Practicing will mean you can find buttons easier, and therefore communicate faster.
7. This one.. isnt a tip. I just wanted to say that people WILL stare, and be confused, but that you are amazing, and your device is amazing. Don't be embarrassed of using AAC.

Posting about my yuu bc I need 2, it's not welcome to be only known by me anymore in honor of me carrying three bags everywhere Ede had it's backpack with them when they arrived to wonderland
It had a beat up water bottle, random snacks, about every charger you could think of, two pairs earbuds, a pair of bluetooth earbuds, a really nice pair of wired headphones, a laptop that has a messed up screen and was kinda bent, a 3d ds w/ a case and a few games btw 3d ds was modded to all hell and the stylus is only a little chewed, way too many pencils and pencil cases that no one would know what to do with it all, a few folders, a few notebooks (sketchbooks), a jevil plushie (bc i find it funny and representative), and least but certainly not least A WHOLE FREAKING BLANKET… what a first day of school Oh yeah did I say Ede literally got iseaked while leaving the house? walked into the road and got hit with a horse

Cons of Bluetooth headphones (wireless) compared to regular (wired)
Costs twice as much, if not more, as regular headphones of equal quality
Only has eight hours at most of battery life and takes over an hour to charge fully
Interrupts your music to speak directly into your ear that battery is low
You also have to charge the charger
Advertised as more hours of play than it actually has because the charger case also has a few hours of charge as if I'm supposed to listen to music from the case
Requires three pieces (2 earbuds and 1 charger/case) and losing any one of those three requires the full price of a new entire set
Requires stable service to use (it's Bluetooth)
Fixed to one device at a time so if you also want to use it on your PC but forget to disconnect and leave the house you won't be able to connect them to your phone the whole day
Videos will have delayed audio (Bluetooth again)
Pros of Bluetooth headphones (wireless) compared to regular (wired)
You will be initially spared when the full new phone generation plan goes into effect and Tim Cook's assassin-soldiers start hunting down the non-compliants
I suppose it's worth it.

your everyday bag is so simple but so cute!! also can you tell us what you keep in your travel bag? i can't zoom in on the image
The bag is a "first copy" (read: fake) of the Celine Box Bag. I loved the shape but spending $4200 on something that's going to go through everyday wear and and tear makes me so anxious 😭
My travel bag has:
My laptop
A mini ring light
My house key with a Moominmamma keychain
A book of logic puzzles and a mechanical pencil
My cable holder, which has a lightening cable, a USB-C cable, an Airfly bluetooth headphone adapter, some wired headphones, a micro-USB cable, and a HDMI to USB-C converter
Red Quay sunglasses and sunglass case
A little figurine of a Shiba Inu doing a salute that my friend gave me when I was in LA
MusiCozy bluetooth workout/nap headphones
TOZO noise cancelling bluetooth headphones (I really wasn't joking when I said I'm having a headphone problem the other day)
A doorstop alarm
Sephora Quenching & Plumping face mask with watermelon extract
A package of Spot Medic hydrocolloid patches
A red pouch with jewelry inside it
Olly Women's Daily Multivitamin with Omega-3
Alka Seltzer
Blister Cushions
ZZZquil Ultra tablets
Phazyme capsules
Mint Breath spray (I think? I'm not sure I've ever actually used it)
And then not in that picture, but I also usually have my computer charger, my phone, my wallet, and a perfume. Right now I've been carrying Phlur Apricot Privee around with me.

I don’t usually make posts like this but this makes me mad. I had to buy a new phone. The only reason that is the case is because my old one has a bulging lithium battery that may catch fire or explode at any time. Hence, buying a new phone. This new phone has no headphone jack. I don’t use bluetooth because I find it annoying to switch from device to device. I’ve already shelled out a good $580 for the new phone, new screen protector that didn’t come with it, new case. Now I have to buy an adaptor so that I can plug my headphones in. It uses a micro usb, so none of my old chargers work. It has a micro usb on both ends, so it doesn’t plug into any of my wall adaptors so I can charge it. I have to use the only thing that has a micro usb port, my new laptop (how lucky is that). Now I have to buy an adaptor so I can plug it into the wall.
Why did my new phone come without any of these things? Who knows. But starting out with the fact that I really didn’t want a new one in the first place (I like how my old phone was set out and worked) and I only got a new one due to an actual safety hazard, we really need to start altering the way these things happen. Phones should come with a screen protector, with an adaptor for corded headphones, with a wall plug for a brand new type of charger.
If someone can explain why these things have changed and why they’re not advertised nor advised or included, go ahead. If not, I’ll just have to sit here and seethe.

i don’t have a bag purse i have a bag i put my bag purse in and everything in there is an amalgamation of things i MIGHT NEED NOT ALWAYS BUT THE DAY I DONT BRING IT IS THE DAY I NEED IT and i can’t risk that happening
so keys, purse bag, wallet, sunglasses case w/ microfibre cloth for cleaning, bluetooth headphones + case/charger, waterbottle, phone charger, mini sketch book + pencil case for when i socially shut down randomly and need to do something to keep myself engaged to the situation at hand without dissociating so hard i lose it, if it’s prudent at the time i will have pain meds in there cause sometimes it’s a body hates me day and i have bad luck with my body not wanting to self implode, depending on the situation i will also bring my ipad and apple pen aswell.
don’t even get me started on my work bag tho that’s a whole other beast cause it’s everything listed above (except my ipad/apple pen) and more so.
@ people who carry bags everywhere what do you put in them what is there to bring other than chapstick, keys, phone and maybe a tampon why are you packing a suitcase to be outside for 5 hours

Mobile Phone Accessories: Enhancing Functionality and Experience
Tumblr media
The global market for mobile phone accessories has witnessed tremendous growth in recent years. As mobile phones have become an integral part of our daily lives, the demand for additional products and peripherals that enhance the usability and functionality of phones has surged exponentially. Various industry reports estimate the worldwide mobile phone accessories market to be worth over $160 billion currently and projections suggest it will cross $200 billion by 2025. The rise of low-cost manufacturers, availability of accessories across multiple retail channels both online and offline along with a growing emphasis on customization have fueled the growth of this sector. Chargers - The Foundation of Mobility Mobile Phone Accessories is premium brands offer fast wireless and portable charging solutions, basic chargers still account for a major chunk of mobile phone accessories sales. With newer phones ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack and the universal micro-USB connector making way for USB-C, charger manufacturers are innovating to cater to the changing interface needs. Portable chargers and power banks have also become must-have accessories for anyone who relies on their phone all day. Car chargers allowing wireless or wired charging in vehicles are another rapidly growing segment. Manufacturers understand the importance of the charger and are raising the bar in terms of charging wattage and speeds. Headphones - Making Audio Portable Whether it is wired earphones, Bluetooth headphones or truly wireless earbuds, headphones have emerged as the second most popular mobile phone accessories category. Apple's decision to remove the audio jack from iPhones drove sales of wireless headphones worldwide.Premium brands like Sony, Bose and Sennheiser dominate the high-end spectrum while Chinese manufacturers have made truly wireless earbuds accessible to the masses. An array of customized ear tips, in-ear detection and active noise cancellation further enhance the audio experience on the go. Portable speakers and Bluetooth audio receivers allowing music playback from phones have also gained traction. Glass Protection and Fitness Trackers While glass and screen protectors shield phones from damage, fitness accessories allow users to monitor health parameters. The demand for tempered glass screen protectors and tough cases that safeguard phones against bumps and scratches has seen tremendous rise concurrent to higher screen breakdown risks. Bike mounts, armbands and other fitness accessories complement tracking apps and deliver phone-based activity/health coaching on the move. Demand for screen protectors, cases, covers and protectable folio wallet cases remain resilient as smartphones become costlier. Some manufacturers integrate added functionality like wallet storage to bolster mobile phone accessories demand. Camera Enhancers and Modular Add-Ons As phone cameras evolve to pro-level specifications, accessories help users optimize imagery. Wide angle lenses, macro lenses, telephoto lenses and flash enhancers unlock expanded photographic capabilities. Gimbals, selfie sticks and tripods stabilize shaky hands and allow steady long exposure shots. Modular add-ons like projectors, extra memory expansion and wireless charging slots extend phone capability. Select cases integrate extra functionality like e-paper smart covers displaying notifications without unlocking phones. Such innovative modular designs encourage longer ownership cycles.

Can we also talk about like, how since the axe of headphone jacks in phones it seems like everyone blasts whatever they're watching/listening to in public? Or at least has contributed majorly to the general lack of audio etiquette in public spaces.
Bluetooth headphones/earbuds are expensive compared to their wired counterparts and need to be charged in order to work. This is essentially just another instance of enshittification where it negatively impacts the user experiences and those who exist near them. If it costs $50 or even hundreds of dollars just for the privilege to quietly listen to my shit I would say "hell naw". We are at a time where groceries and just existing costs us an arm and a leg, why spend all that money when we could use that to buy this week's groceries?
Even in the case of the stupid little adapter that plugs into charger ports, I'm not buying that because its dinky af and if I need to BUY a DAMN ADAPTER and SPENDING MORE MONEY then im not gonna buy it!
I know all of this is as planned but it makes the world feel so malicious and uncaring. I fucking gasped when I learned that the steam deck had a headphone jack because I fucking forgot that it used to be standard in most electronics like that!!!!! It makes so much sense when you connect the loss of the headphone jack and the decrease in public manners. It becomes the new normal against our will.

Must-Have Phone Accessories: Elevating Your Mobile Experience
Smartphones have become indispensable in our daily lives, serving not only as communication tools but also as entertainment hubs, productivity assistants, and even fitness trackers.
With such heavy reliance on our phones, it’s essential to enhance their functionality, durability, and usability through the right accessories. From protecting your device to improving its performance, the right accessories can make a world of difference. Here’s a guide to some must-have phone accessories that every smartphone owner should consider.
1. Protective Case
A protective case is arguably the most essential accessory for any smartphone. Accidental drops, scratches, and impacts can cause serious damage to your phone, especially if it has a glass body. A high-quality case offers protection from these potential risks, preserving the integrity of your phone and keeping it looking brand new for longer.
Types of Cases:
Slim Cases: For those who prefer a minimalistic look without adding much bulk.
Rugged Cases: Ideal for people who are prone to dropping their phones, offering maximum protection.
Wallet Cases: These offer extra functionality by doubling as a wallet, holding your cards and cash along with your phone.
2. Screen Protector
No matter how careful you are, a screen protector is an inexpensive yet effective way to safeguard your phone’s screen. They provide an extra layer of protection against scratches, smudges, and even cracks from drops. Screen protectors come in two main types:
Tempered Glass: Offers superior protection and maintains the touchscreen sensitivity.
Plastic Film: Lighter and thinner, but not as durable as tempered glass.
3. Portable Power Bank
Running out of battery when you're on the go is one of the most frustrating experiences. A portable power bank ensures that your phone remains charged, even when you're away from an outlet. These compact devices come in various capacities, so you can choose one based on how much backup power you need. Look for one with multiple USB ports for charging multiple devices simultaneously.
4. Wireless Charger
Gone are the days of fumbling with cables. Wireless charging is a game-changer, offering convenience and eliminating the need to plug and unplug your phone every time you need to charge it. Simply place your phone on a charging pad, and let the magic happen. Some models also offer fast charging capabilities, reducing the time it takes to get your device back to full power.
5. Bluetooth Headphones or Earbuds
In today’s wireless world, Bluetooth headphones or earbuds have become a must-have accessory for mobile users. Whether you’re working out, commuting, or taking a call, these accessories allow you to listen to music, podcasts, or attend calls without the hassle of tangled wires. Features to look for include:
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): Helps block out background noise for a more immersive experience.
Water Resistance: Important for those who like to exercise or run in all weather conditions.
Long Battery Life: Choose models that offer hours of listening time on a single charge.
6. Phone Mount or Car Holder
If you use your phone for navigation while driving, a phone mount or car holder is a game-changer. It ensures that your phone is securely in place, allowing for hands-free operation of navigation apps, music, or calls. There are different mounting options, including:
Dashboard Mounts: Attaches to the dashboard or windshield.
Vent Mounts: Clips to the air conditioning vents.
Magnetic Mounts: Uses magnets to hold your phone securely in place.
7. Bluetooth Speaker
For those who enjoy high-quality sound while on the go, a Bluetooth speaker is an excellent addition. Portable and wireless, Bluetooth speakers allow you to enjoy music, podcasts, or movies with enhanced sound quality. Look for one with features such as:
Waterproofing: Ideal for outdoor use, by the pool, or at the beach.
Durability: Ensure it’s rugged enough to handle drops and rough conditions.
Long Battery Life: So you can enjoy uninterrupted audio for hours.
8. Camera Lens Attachments
For photography enthusiasts, external camera lenses are an excellent way to elevate the capabilities of your smartphone’s camera. These attachable lenses come in various types, including wide-angle, macro, and fisheye lenses, allowing you to capture stunning, professional-quality photos with your phone.
9. Memory Card or External Storage
Running out of storage space can be a hassle, especially with high-quality photos and videos taking up significant memory. For phones with expandable storage, a microSD card is a great way to increase your storage capacity. Alternatively, external storage drives that connect via USB or wireless connections can offer additional space without compromising your phone’s performance.
10. Stylus
If you frequently use your phone for drawing, note-taking, or other creative tasks, a stylus can greatly enhance your productivity. Styluses offer more precision than using your finger, making them ideal for tasks such as sketching, signing documents, or navigating your phone’s interface. Many modern smartphones, especially high-end models, offer stylus compatibility, like the Samsung Galaxy Note series and the iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil.
11. Smartphone Camera Tripod
For anyone into vlogging or photography, a small, portable tripod can be a game-changer. A tripod stabilizes your phone, enabling you to take clear, steady shots and videos, even in low light conditions. Many models also come with adjustable arms and mounts, allowing you to shoot at various angles or set up hands-free videos.
12. Phone Cleaning Kit
Keeping your phone clean is more important than ever. A cleaning kit designed for phones includes microfiber cloths, screen wipes, and cleaning sprays to help remove dust, fingerprints, and bacteria from your device. Regular cleaning not only keeps your phone looking good but also ensures better hygiene, especially since smartphones are one of the most touched objects throughout the day.
Conclusion
With so many accessories available for smartphones today, it can be overwhelming to choose the right ones. The key is to focus on the accessories that will enhance your daily experience and provide practical value. Whether you’re protecting your device, improving its performance, or simply making it more fun to use, the right accessories can transform your smartphone into a more functional and enjoyable tool.
Remember that the best accessories cater to your specific needs—so consider your lifestyle, habits, and preferences when selecting your must-have phone accessories. With the right setup, your phone will not only look good but also perform at its peak!
