#LISTEN #i have never been more proud #I am so in love with it #The outside is really cute too! some crib recolors I'm working on for the base game crib. I was inspired by teekalu's amazing couches and wanted some fun colors. I'll probably post them once I can take proper previews. I think about ten colors.

i was on zillow today, fantasizing about being able to live somewhere, when i came across the listing for my childhood home. it wasn't active/being sold, but it was on there with some pics of the interior. and my GOD. THEY MADE HER UGLY. THEY TOOK HER RUSTIC PUSSY OUT. WHAT THE FUCK

Hi hello I need some opinions so I’m trying to redesign a nether tunnel and I need to choose a trapdoor. I wish I could use blue fire, because it fits better, but it’s too dark. So, which trapdoor looks the best (the directional signs would also be the same wood)

#warm wood floors #blue walls with gold #low warm lights in the evening #and biiiiiog windows to show the lake and trees and water grass #and my class is currently right over sunset #i enter to the pink and orange of the sky and darkening of the water #and the lights and candles are just enough to make the floor warmer and the gold on the walls glow #and the dark gets deeper and deeper and the low warm lights get warmer #the blue in the sky and the water and walls turns black and everything is just velvety black and soft gold #and then i come home and go to bed

when we moved into our current apartment, the current residents left two loveseats & a recliner, which was convenient because they're p good quality & it saved us having to buy living room furniture right away, but also they're all beige and the carpet is beige and the walls are white and our ikea bookshelves are white and the blinds are white and this week my brain has chosen to flail and thrash in protest at the lack of color in our living room, but guess what, brain!! we just got a puppy & keep spending money on her, so we don't get to redecorate the entire living room right now! you'll just have to live with it!!!!!

#also colin's taste in interior design is much more staid than mine #he wouldn't want the walls painted emerald even if now was an opportune time to paint them :(#an eggplant purple velvet couch? forget it #colin thinks a colorful throw pillow dominates the whole room #colin thinks that navy blue is garishly bright #colin agrees that the beige is bad but what if everything was a nice light grey?#colin says he doesn't like scandinavian minimalism but winces at medium-toned wood #colin says he doesn't hate saturated color but then gives sage green as an example #colin has texture aversions and I respect that but he doesn't even like looking at satin #colin says he likes mid century modern but what he means is ikea showroom #I'm just making fun of him now to shame him into letting me paint the living room crimson

If I may take some time from your day, there is a very big problem I would Like to address.

Minimalism and Modernism working in tandem.

Because oH my fucking god it's so fucking bland. It's nice every now and then, but oh my god if I see one more goddamn "home makeover" that turns a beautiful rustic building into a Black White Brushed Steel and Dark Gray hellscape I am going to commit a crime.

WHERES THE PERSONALITY!

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THERE"S CLUTTER? THE KNICK KNACKS?

If you say you are gonna stick them anywhere than the fuckoing shelves/bedside tables or dressers or wardrobes Im kicking your ass.

What about the fucking novelty magnets you get on trips at gas stations and landmarks? Cause I know you aren't gonna ruin the "colors palette" of your kitchen - which by the way will look 1000% worse the second dust settles - by sticking them on your Fridge!

My Dad has a beautiful, powerful, large set of speakers, each one weighs about 200 pounds and are a pain in the ass to move, but they really are beautiful, Clear varnish, dark, wood grain bodies, and they sound incredible.

When (hopefully a long time from now) My dad passes, if whoever gets those speakers decides to sell them for something new I'm, kicking their ass.

My dresser is one I've had since I was literally a couple years old, and it has some stickers on it. Old coffee shop stickers, some stickers from City festivals and the like, and someone suggested I get a new one. I asked them why and they said it was old and kind of cluttered, so obviously i responded with "Well it still works, and I don't mind it" But RIGHT NOW i'm like "Actually it looks great. I like the stickers. Infdact I like the stickers so much I 'm gonna plaster Everything IN stickers! TOO MANY STICKERS IM GONNA MAKE COMBUSTIBLE STICKERS AND BURN YOUR GODDAMN HOUSE DOWN"
