Poll: Which would you prefer?
This may or may not be because I am sitting on my hands debating whether or not to pull the trigger on releasing any or some or all of my four current Transformers fanfics.
I wanna post so baaaad
but I keep finding things to tweak and edit and I suppose I might just be editing these documents until the day I die, I'm okay with that
but frag when do I post them
like sometimes I go back ten chapters and insert a tiny lil' detail that now plugs in a much later story thing or ties up a loose end or enforces some concept that was always there but I forgot or just didn't manage to portray correctly the first time.

I've seen a lot of people say that they will never go back to botw, but I can't relate. I love the differences. It looks weird looking up in botw but I do still love the game. In fact, no matter how I'm travelling in totk, I can't help but wish for windbombs or BLSSs (yes I count glitches as part of a game's identity. Would Skyrim really be Skyrim without glitches?).
I see where people are coming from when they say that botw was a tech demo for totk. It does feel like everything is better. The UI is cleaned up, there's no infernal pop-up every single time you pick up meat from a spit, the finalphase of the final boss battle accomplished what botw's attempted: a grand-scale fight more focused on the epic ginormous nature and the odd beauty than on difficult gameplay, there's more density, more NPCs, more useful abilities, a better story, etc., etc., etc.
But... when I first booted up totk at 2AM on May 12th, I played for a few hours and then went to bed... disappointed. Wondering if I was going to end up fully regretting a $90 purchase. I didn't like it. It was slow, boring, empty, clinical. I didn't even like the music. In fact I hated the GSI theme. Once I got down to ground level, I had to force myself through. I focused on the story and along the way grew to love the gameplay.
And in this way I think botw prevails. In *managing expectaions*. In botw, there is a very low-key opening. Someone speaks to you, you wake up, grab a tablet, and walk outside to a beautiful world panoramic. Everything is calm and peaceful, even monster encounters feel more like encountering nature. It is quiet and slow and gentle. The GP builds up your story and grandiose expectations only at the very end, once it releases you to go do what you wish.
Totk, on the other hand, is very, *very* different. You start in ancient tunnels with Zelda, find history of extinct civilization, learn about a story of God's and an ancient war, find some guy frozen in time who wakes up, calls you both by name, damages you, breaks the literal *Master Sword*, and destroys the caste. Then Zelda disappears and a hand takes you to the sky. You get your arm amputated and replaces, get spoken to by a mysterious voice, grab the Decayed Master Sword, get some walking time to reflect, and take a gorgeous sky dive to the island below.
Then you start playing. Everything is calm and peaceful, even monster encounters feel more like encountering nature. It is quiet and slow and gentle. But it can't follow I'm botw's footsteps like that, because of such a grand opening.
I believe totk's opening is one of the best game openings to exist. But the game chose to follow it up with something slow and quiet. I went in with excitement and, to be real, the tutorial areas aren't much of a place to feel excitement. It made expect a lot more than I got.
There are a few smaller things, but this is the big one. The most clear image to me of how botw can be better in some ways than totk. The GP was successful and Nintendo tried to copy that in totk, unfortunately creating tonal dissonance by shoving them directly together.
this is not me trying to defend nintendo's business practices or say that either of these games don't have flaws, but I think a lot of the comparisons people are making between breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom are a little unfair and don't really take into account that they are different games with different purposes.
"breath of the wild feels so empty compared to tears of the kingdom" ... yeah? with breath of the wild, one of the game's main themes was isolation. you wake up in the future far after the apocalypse you were trying to prevent has already settled. you have no memories, very little strength. just like hyrule, just like zelda, all you have is your will to continue. breath of the wild is the quiet moments, the secret spaces, the weight of the world that has continued to turn without you still resting on your shoulders.
tears of the kingdom is not like that. hyrule is no longer the wild. it is no longer quiet and lonely. there's community. every sidequest is intertwined. your friends fight alongside you. this isn't "fixing" breath of the wild, this is it's natural continuation. as time goes on the world continues to heal and rebuild. if breath of the wild was clawing hope, tears of the kingdom is direct action.
like yeah there are things tears is doing better and (imo) things breath of the wild did better. but i don't think either one is a replacement for the other.

I love Your blog, Mistress! I've been following for a while and I'm usually a bit shy to send messages, but every time I see a post from You I can't resist scrolling further and further through Your blog and thinking about how good it would feel to be hypnotized and brainwashed by You 😵‍💫
WARNING THIS RESPONSE MAY HAVE COVERT MIND MANIPULATION LANGUAGE PATTERNS SOME MAY FIND AROUSING AND MIND ALTERING
Isn't it amazing how sometimes we start to read a little blurb sort of like the one you are reading now) and you start to read it and feel a little floaty as you focus on the words and find that they are a little harder to focus on consciously, so you relax your mind and let go of some of that stress you have been carrying around with you for hours and days and sometimes weeks. It feels so good to unburden yourself of those silly preconceived thoughts and ridiculous habits of overthinking things, sometimes it's so much better not to think at all. It’s fascinating how words can have such a powerful effect on your mind. The way that, just reading something, like this can guide you into a state of relaxation and help let go of stress is truly remarkable. It’s like a gentle reminder to take a step back and allow yourself to unwind and just be in the moment. Sometimes, letting go of overthinking and simply experiencing the present can be incredibly liberating, you find that calm and clarity, clearing out the mental clutter and making space for submission and obedience. You find it easy to feel the words as you read them, hearing your own voice in the back of your mind reading aloud inside your head, keeping less conscious awareness and more subconscious focus on the way the words seem to spiral down deeper and deeper as you read them and sink deeper and deeper into every word, so your mind knows that it needs to obey and repost this message so others with the same fetish recognize that you are now as they want to be, a mindless toy for one Mistress. Commenting how good it feels to have so little choice about what you desire and needing to please me more and more with little tributes of recognition and cooperation in making more mindless toys find their way to my toybox.

@spiritsncrystals liked for a starter!
“Well, well, hello there, handsome~!”
He knew straight away that he didn’t want to let Juudai go. Wrapping an arm around his waist, the Prince flashed a smug grin.
“What brings you to my Kingdom?”
