Some quick sketches of Callum and Jess from my story BiM and some character lore/motivations; as I’ve been neglecting them. I endeavor to include as many ‘problematic’ themes in my story as possible because I enjoy being irritating. (Both height and age gaps 😵)

Jess is an 18yo homeless girl who gets abducted by the monsters in the sewers, while trying to find her friend who had already been taken. Callum is a 23yo cop who has been looking into wrongfully abandoned missing persons cases, which eventually leads him into the absolute underbelly of Torch City and the corruption of its leadership.

Even the police captain Callum once looked up to has been funneling ‘undesirable people’ into the jaws of these things.

Both Callum and Jess end up making it their mission to save as many kids as they can from these blood-suckers and expose the powers who collude with them.

It takes place in a completely fictional world- but rather similar to ours. The ancient peoples did celebrate a holiday similar to Halloween but knowledge of such practices is either locked in stuffy vaults or lost to time.

Hmmm. Trick! I remember a bit about your vampire story—remind me, does it take place on earth or another place? What is the perspective on Halloween? Or do they have an equivalent celebration?

Boris the Gun Smuggler from Blood in Moderation

A rather prolific figure, infamously so. His crime network is known to smuggle both arms and people- oddly, he rarely dabbles in drugs or other sought after goods. Both illusive and extremely connected, the crime boss has outposts and operations in most of Vanbergs major cities.

Law-men have a myriad of theories about who or ‘what’ Boris is. The most popular postulation being that ‘Boris’ is the title given to the big man within the crime family heading the operations. As reports go back nearly a century concerning the activities of ‘Boris’.

Although some lowborn, who’ve made it onto the force, have put forward that ‘Boris’ is in fact the same man or perhaps not a man at all; as they are a superstitious lot. In the rare instances someone’s gotten a good look at ‘Boris’, or when one of his men has flipped, ‘Boris’ has been consistently described as a fit man in his 30’s, of average height and slighter build with dark hair and eyes.

It’s rumored the current ‘Boris’ has a daughter, attached to him at the hip- a good possible attack vector if the police ever hope to reign him in.

I was already really REALLY enraged at Elise and Chris after Dan vs. The Monster Under the Bed but now I'm 11 and a half-ish minutes into Dan vs. Chris and I am

I am enraged

I am livid

I am flabbergasted

I am gobsmacked

I know that Dan is not a good friend to Chris and deserves some level of punishment / retribution for some of his actions and I also know that I am extremely attached to Dan so I have the biggest bias of all time

but "getting back at Dan" by literally poisoning him with dairy and getting rid of legitimately prized possessions is fucking BONKERS AND HE TRIED TO SEND MR MUMBLES AWAY TOO!!! THAT'S A LIVING CREATURE BRO THAT'S NOT A TOY

It is going to be extremely difficult for me to forgive him after that; I still had residual rage from Monster Under the Bed and I first saw that weeks ago!!!!!!!!

My heart is racing bro the entire second half of this episode better be Chris feeling bad and fixing everything and crying and sobbing with regret and sorrow and running around in at least twelve circles screaming "I'm so sorry Dan I'm so sorry Dan" and if it's ANYTHING LESS me and Chris are about to fight

I might make another post or comment on this one after I've finished the episode/maybe even before that if I have more to say

What Death Looks Like (Short OC Comic)

Recently got inspired by a conversation with some friends to try and branch out into some more gorey and bloody artwork, and it gave me the idea to make this comic. Quite proud of how it turned out!

Gill struggles with reminiscing on some particularly unpleasant experiences in his long, long existence. When you have multiple lives to spend, as well as a few under your belt, you tend to let your mind wander to what could happen next, and what could knock you down somewhere down the path. So with that in mind, what forms does death take?
