Regarding strike protests: why youâre always throwing Seb in whatever is the topic related to her? Iâm well aware that he didnât go to any protests. I was talking about her specifically and how sheâs supposedly a good natured soul, always an activist, always supporting the good causes, always aware and caring etc. When in reality her âactivismâ happens only when it suits her or when her âbfâ is actually doing something. Iâm used to Seb never being active like that, he didnât go to BLM protests in 2020 either, but Pine supposedly did⌠and so did she. Now that sheâs with someone whoâs not actively participating in any social protests, she ainât going to one. What it tells me is that all of her activism is fake af. Had she really cared about any of that stuff, she wouldâve been out there, regardless of what Sebastian does or does not (sheâs supposedly her own person, remember?). She spent at least 2 weeks in LA without Seb and couldâve gone out and support her colleagues fighting for their rights and the future of the industry she works in and yet⌠Too bad she lost Pine. He couldâve given her those good points right about now lol.

Minnesota murder stats rose under Walz's leadership as he tries to tie violent crime trend to Trump: data

Minnesota murder stats rose under Walz's leadership as he tries to tie violent crime trend to Trump: data
Minnesota murder rates have risen under Democratic Gov. Tim Walz leadership as Vice President Kamala Harrisâ running mate attempts to link spiraling crime trends of the 2020 era to the Trump administration. âI just want to set the record straight, because facts do matter and thereâs not an alternative set of facts. Violent crime was up during the Trump presidency, and thatâs even not counting his crimes,â Walz said at a rally in Las Vegas on Saturday. Walz was named as Harrisâ running mate last week, and has since hit the campaign trail to rally support for the newly-formed ticket with less than 100 days until voters head to the polls. His comment on crime sparked critics to call out Minnesotaâs violent crime rate under Walzâs leadership, with Fox News contributor Byron York outlining how murders increased in Minnesota after Walz was sworn in as governor. WALZ ACCUSATIONS OF âSTOLEN VALORâ PROMPT BATTLE BETWEEN HOUSE VETERANS PELOSI PRAISES âIt turns out that rise included an increase in Minnesota. Here are the numbers of murders in Minnesota, starting in 2018, the last year before Walz became governor,â York posted to X. Walz was sworn in as governor in 2019. Data from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety reviewed by Fox News Digital shows that in 2018, the year before Walz took office, the state recorded 104 murders, a figure that increased by more than 12% in 2019, when the state recorded 117 murders. Murders in the state in 2020, when violent crimes spiked nationwide, skyrocketed to 185. In 2021, the state recorded 201 murders, 182 in 2022, and 172 last year. MINNESOTA RIOTS CONTINUED AFTER WALZ TOOK âRESPONSIBILITY TO ENSUREâ THERE WOULDNâT BE CHAOSData from the state shows that in the four years before Walz took office, from 2015-2018, there was an average of about 113 murders recorded in the state each year, which has increased to 171 murders, according to the yearly average under Walzâs five years as governor. Violent crime rates did spike to historic highs during Trumpâs final year in the White House in 2020, which has been attributed to the widespread riots and protests that swept the nation following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis on Memorial Day 2020. TIM WALZâS BLM RIOTS RESPONSE LEFT MINNESOTA HUSBAND, DAD OF 2 âDISGUSTEDâ: âCANâT BELIEVEâ PEOPLE SUPPORT HIMFBI crime data reviewed by Fox News Digital shows that homicides in 2017, Trumpâs first year in office, slightly dipped nationally from 15,320 in 2016 to 15,312 in 2017. The data shows violent crime again dipped in 2018, at 14,604 homicides, and again in 2019 to 14,678, before skyrocketing in 2020 amid the riots to 18,965 homicides. All in, the violent crime spike of 2020 saw murders increase by nearly 30% compared to the year prior, according to FBI data. It marked the largest single-year increase in killings since the agency began tracking the crimes.TRUMP PRAISED WALZâS GEORGE FLOYD RIOT RESPONSE IN 2020, AUDIO SHOWS: âVERY HAPPYâExperts who have previously spoken to Fox News Digital pointed to an array of variables that contributed to the increases of 2020 and the years following, including: anti-police rhetoric voiced by Black Lives Matter and defund the police proponents, the pandemic, a culture of lawlessness promoted by liberal district attorneys, and the âFerguson effectâ â when police pull back during high-profile and violent crime trends.ââMinneapolis was the epicenter of the 2020 riots, where Floyd, a Black man, died at the hands of a White officer during a police encounter in the city. Floydâs death was followed by social justice protests and riots across the nation, which came at a time when COVID-19 cases and government-mandated lockdown measures meant to control the pandemic upended society in unprecedented ways ahead of the 2020 election.ââMore than 1,500 buildings in Minneapolis alone were damaged or destroyed due to the riots, resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in damages.WALZ SLAMMED FOR âHESITATINGâ TO SEND IN GUARD AS HIS DAUGHTER TIPPED OFF RIOTERS VIA SOCIAL MEDIAThe newly formed Harris-Walz ticket, which secured the Democratic nomination following President Biden dropping out of the race as concerns mounted surrounding his mental acuity, has focused its attention on Harrisâ background as a California prosecutor when laying out its crime platform, most notably attacking Trump and his court battles. âAs a tough prosecutor, Kamala Harris dealt with men like Trump all the time: Rapists, con men, frauds, criminals â sheâs used to guys like Trump, used to putting them in their place,â a narrator for a recent pro-Harris ad says. Meanwhile, Trump has slammed left-wing led cities nationwide that didnât do more to end the riots of 2020, and vowed to restore law and order across the nation to lower crime rates, including closing the border to illegal immigration.âThe cartels will be crushed, crime will plummet, incomes will soar, the wars will end, and the American dream will come roaring back bigger, better and stronger than ever,â Trump said at a rally last week. Get the latest updates from the 2024 campaign trail, exclusive interviews and more at our Fox News Digital election hub.

Being around decent men, and my partner becoming a man, and reckoning with my own gender euphoria with masculine things has really been a reawakening
I spent a long time in the I hate men camp, and for sure a lot of that came from trauma with the men I considered friends and from my father and from the countless times of sexual harassment that began in my early teens
But I'm recognizing too that a not insignificant amount of it was from my best friend of over a decade, a lesbian & also a Berkeley blue eyed blond WASP who:
-When I started trying to reckon with Gender Feelings told me "are you sure you're not just coopting the Trans movement bc its cool right now or you want to feel like a victim" & I didn't touch my Gender for another 5 YEARS
-Consistently during my first relationship w a guy made fun of girls who wanted to ride a dick or suck one off or otherwise enjoy sex with a penis, and I just laughed and went along with it and pretended I felt that way too
-Disliked bi women bc they didn't date her after she never told them how she felt about them in any way and pined in secret while resenting them and their partner
-Last time I saw her said "oh good you didn't play the Trans Card" after a cop confronted us & told me "you can't just break the rules AND be upset when you catch shit for it" bc I was harassed TWICE AFTER THAT by the cop about having my service dog on a public beach, and I had a panic attack because it was the summer I was also marching in BLM protests and having cops treat us like fucking fish in a barrel waiting to be stabbed
-When confronted that she and her girlfriend (a millionaire) shouldn't travel from Oakland to LA for Thanksgiving and then from Oakland to Tampa (where my family was working service industry jobs & hers own their own firms) for Christmas IN THE YEAR OF HELL 2020 told me it wasn't a big deal, the vaccines were a joke, and then blocked me until the holidays were over because I was being "ridiculous and insane" to suggest she just go ANY OTHER TIME
-"What are you even worried about w Trump he's not a threat"
#probably tbd#there were positive aspects of this friendship for sure#but her thoughts on trans people or bi people or disabled people.......... i didnt realize until it was too late how shitty she was being#i thought it happened overnight during rhe pandemic and dating the trust fund millionaire but its always been there#and it deeply affected the way i viewed my own gender and sexuality and dealt w my trauma arouns men (or didnt)#and it fucking sucks because i love her and shes not a horrible person but boy shes not being a good one either#we are not in contact bc she reached back out w no apology or understanding of where i was coming from and just talked over me for 20 mins#then interrupted herself to yell at me for my facial reactions?!?! and i was like nope im not here for this babe i love you but hell no#i hope shes ok and i hope she figures her shit out........ but also fuck her a little bit yknow

Coke at the White House
The âunknown itemâ found in the West Wing that forced a brief evacuation of the White House Sunday night and drew a Hazmat team to the executive mansion initially tested positive for cocaine, according to officials and a dispatch call made that evening.
âWe have a yellow bar stating cocaine hydrochloride,â a DC firefighter stated in a radio communication at 8:49 p.m. on Sunday.
âBag it up and take it out,â the firefighter told the Hazmat team.
The white powdery substance was found in the residenceâs library on the ground floor of the building, according to the dispatch call.
However, officials familiar with the incident told The Post the purported cocaine was found in a holding area in the West Wing that is only accessible to White House staff and guests.***
First son Hunter Biden, 53, who has acknowledged a prior addiction to crack cocaine, was on the White House grounds Friday before heading off to Camp David with his father for the holiday weekend.***
Rumors circulated in April that the first son may have been crashing at the White House for a time to avoid being served with court papers by the mother of his love child.
In his memoir âBeautiful Things,â Hunter detailed his years-long battle with cocaine addiction, which he said intensified after the death of his brother Beau in 2015.
Many photos, text messages and other communications revealing his cocaine abuse ended up on the first sonâs now infamous laptop, including recently surfaced images of Hunter smoking crack behind the wheel of his car in a residential Arlington, Va., neighborhood in the summer of 2018.***Â https://nypost.com/2023/07/04/cocaine-found-on-white-house-premises-dispatch-call-shows/

In other R. Hunter Biden news....
Hunter Biden apparently filmed himself smoking crack behind the wheel of a car in 2018 â the same year he took a picture of himself driving 172 mph in a Porsche, according to thousands of newly uploaded photos from the first sonâs abandoned laptop.
Biden, 53, is seen flashing what looks like a crack pipe and smoking it while driving through a residential neighborhood in Arlington, Virginia, on June 12, 2018, according to the photos uploaded by Marco Polo, a nonprofit firm headed by former Donald Trump aide Garrett Ziegler.
Less than two months later, he was seen racing to Las Vegas on August 1, when he took a snap of the carâs dashboard, revealing that he was going at least 172 mph.
The pictures were found on Bidenâs infamous laptop, which also contained messages to multiple women waiting for him to arrive in Sin City for a hot tub party, the Daily Mail reported Sunday.***

Gunman arrested for Philadelphia mass shooting which left 5 dead is BLM activist who wore womenâs clothes: sources
The rifle-wielding suspect who donned a bulletproof vest before allegedly shooting dead five men and injuring two children in Philadelphia has been identified as a Black Lives Matter supporter who shared gun-toting memes on social media.
Kimbrady Carriker, 40, was nabbed shortly after the bloodshed in the cityâs Kingsessing neighborhood Monday night, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported, citing sources.
Cops havenât yet publicly disclosed the suspectâs identity.
On his Facebook page, Carriker posted two pictures of him wearing a bra, a womenâs top and earrings with his hair braided long in March, three months before the alleged shooting.
He also regularly posts about supporting Black Lives Matter, including supporting workers who protested in the Strike For Black Lives in July 2020.
Police said the 40-year-old male suspect was armed with a rifle, pistol, extra magazines, a police scanner and bullet proof vest when he fatally shot four men on the street and then chased and killed a fifth man inside a home.***Â https://nypost.com/2023/07/04/kimbrady-carriker-ided-as-philadelphia-gunman-accused-of-killing-5/

Nellie writes
â âI am sitting here waiting for the call with my fatherâ: Thatâs what Hunter Biden texted a Chinese businessman, while demanding $10 million. A Maltese bank where one of his business enterprises had an account was shut down in 2018 after the government suspected it of money laundering. I was trying to understand that and came upon this hilariously cryptic PBS headline from a couple of months ago: âRepublicans are using financial records to investigate Hunter Biden. Hereâs how.â The story doesnât explain what was found, instead focusing on the process, implying that itâs maybe shady to use financial records to investigate financial crimes. Thank God we fund this important work.
Meanwhile an IRS whistleblower, Gary Shapley, has come out to say that his work on the Hunter Biden case was obstructed and that he was blocked from pursuing leads into the person Hunter called âdadâ or âthe big guy.â They were right to pump the brakes on Garyâs rather nosy tendencies. âDadâ? That could be ANYONE. Whatâs next, going after the guy for locking in some defense contracts in exchange for some time with âPapaâ or âDaddy Dearestâ or âMy dad the president, Joe Biden?â What are we, a banana republic?
Here is what Shapley said to CBS News: âWe have to make sure as a special agent for IRS Criminal Investigation that we treat every single person exactly the same. And that just simply didnât happen here.â
I just wish there was a single mainstream media outlet that could explain this all to me in a sophisticated fact-based way because it looks bad. But, also, addicts say all kinds of things. (Ed note: The Free Press is working on a breakdown of all the Hunter Biden allegations.)
Last note: Hunter was apparently kicked out of LAâs best sex club, according to the clubâs founder (who himself has now been ousted for tattling on Hunter). Why anyone would believe the founder of a sex club wouldnât sell you out for a headline is beyond me. Thatâs why I have to be monogamous.***Â Â https://www.thefp.com/p/nellie-bowles-tgif-going-to-supremes

In all fairness, living in Philly can be suicidal....
Ellen Greenberg, a Philadelphia teacher, was found dead in her apartment the morning after a blizzard 12 years ago by her then-fiance. She had 20 stab wounds, including 10 to the back of her head and neck, and was covered in bruises in different states of healing***
The city medical examiner's office initially ruled her daughter's gruesome death a homicide but then called it a suicide after a meeting with police and prosecutors, according to court filings.***
In July 2022, an independent journalist named Gavin Fish posted a YouTube video to allege that then-AG Shapiro had "a clear conflict of interest" in the case and that Ellenâs fianceâs family were among his campaign donors. The AGâs recusal from the case was announced three days later.***Â https://www.foxnews.com/us/philly-mayor-under-scrutiny-city-resists-push-reinvestigate-suicide-woman-stabbed-20-times

And if shooting school kids isnât disturbing enough
DETROIT (AP) â A teenager awaiting sentencing for killing four students at a Michigan high school has been âexhibiting sporadic, disturbing behaviorâ in jail, prosecutors said, just a month before a key hearing to determine if he will serve a life prison term.
The disclosure about Ethan Crumbley, 17, was made in a court document this week and at a routine monthly hearing Friday in Oakland County court.
Prosecutors did not offer any details in public but shared them privately with Judge Kwame Rowe and Crumbleyâs attorneys.
Crumbley pleaded guilty to murder, terrorism and other charges for a mass shooting at Oxford High School in 2021. Four fellow students were killed and seven more people were wounded.
Crumbley is being held at the county jail but is kept away from adults who are also in custody.
He has âstarted exhibiting sporadic, disturbing behavior,â assistant prosecutor Marc Keast said in a court filing. âThis behavior has been documented via report and body-worn camera from jail personnel responding to various incidents. It is not readily apparent what the impetus for or cause is of this behavior.â***Â https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-world/nation/a-teen-who-killed-4-at-a-michigan-high-school-is-showing-disturbing-behavior-in-jail

Court should overrule Kennedy v. Louisiana, 554 U. S. 407 (2008) for dirtbags like this.
Gerson Fuentes, 28, was sentenced raping and impregnating a 9-year-old Ohio girl who later sought an abortion in Indiana. He will be eligible for parole in as little as 25 years.
Common Pleas Court Judge Julie Lynch, who was not required to approve the plea agreement, said the girlâs family âbeggedâ the judge to back it. Lynch called the deal a âvery hard pill for this court to swallow.â
âAnyone whoâs ever been in this courtroom for the last 20 years knows how this court feels about these babies, young people, being violated,â Lynch said. âHowever, today, by the request of the family, this court will be sentencing without comment.â
The maximum sentence would have been life without parole. Settling the case before trial will spare the survivor from having to testify in court.***
Fuentes, who is from Guatemala and was living in Columbus, had been held without bond since his arrest. If he eventually wins parole, he would likely be deported given that authorities have said they have not found any evidence he is authorized to live in the U.S. legally.***Â https://www.pilotonline.com/2023/07/05/man-gets-life-sentence-for-raping-9-year-old-ohio-girl-who-traveled-to-indiana-for-legal-abortion/

Donât get me wrong - Assange is a flaming dirtbag and a hypocrite, but he has committed no crime against the U.S.

***Nasrat Ahmad Yar was driving for Lyft to help provide for his wife and four children. Ahmad Yar had worked for the U.S. government for nearly 20 years, starting at age 10 and working his way up to becoming an interpreter for U.S. forces. He survived the collapse of the Afghan government at the hands of the Taliban, fleeing to the United States in 2021.
He was killed just after midnight on Monday after dropping off passengers. He was surrounded by four males who appeared to be teenagers. One of them shot and killed Ahmad Yar, with surveillance video showing one of the suspects saying, âHe was reaching,â in response to another saying, âYou just killed him.â
This is not merely some one-off event in Washington, a random act of violence that can be dismissed as a tragic outlier. This is what the Democrats have enabled with their twisted, pro-criminal view of crime policy. The district's Democrats have refused to even pretend that crimes committed by juveniles are a problem. According to District of Columbia Attorney General Brian Schwalb, carjackings and robberies by juvenile offenders that have the very real possibility of escalating into homicides are just âkids being kids.â
For context, more than two-thirds of carjacking arrests in the city in 2022 were juvenile offenders. There were 485 carjackings in 2022, compared to just 148 in 2018. ***
Despite that 227% increase in carjackings, the Council of the District of Columbia's Chairman Phil Mendelson denied that there was any such crime crisis in the district. That is why the D.C. Council set out to soften the punishments for violent crimes, including carjackings and murder.***Â https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/he-survived-the-taliban-but-not-dcs-soft-on-crime-policies

Mom was right: "if you can't think of something nice to say, don't say anything at all."
Golden Valley, Minnesota sought a new police chief. Â The mayor lists his pronouns in his correspondence, and it is a "city that believes in and stands for the values of social equity, inclusion and justice. We embrace diversity and recognize the rights of individuals to live their lives with dignity, free of discrimination, fear, violence and hate.â
The police union and many citizens supported interim chief Scott Nadeau, a white man. Â The city's equity management apparently wanted Virgil Green, who would apparently improve the city's Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity.
The mayor was/is outraged that
We have officers who secretly recorded an equity meeting and used the recording to undermine the cityâs equity efforts and intimidate staff. It has been nearly a year since this happened and no one has been disciplined for this behavior, even though it is in direct opposition to our city values, our welcome statement and possibly a violation of city policy.
While crime numbers are trending up on the east side of the city and weâve experienced two recent violent incidents, members of the police dept. are instead monitoring social media comments of city employees, their families and members of one of our city commissions. Â https://kstp.com/video/golden-valley-mayor-statement-regarding-police-chief-search/
Now, if they were wasting time on social media during work hours, they should be disciplined, but that's not what the mayor alleges. Â Shep Harris (he/him/his) was also offended that the union delivered to him a letter supporting Nadeau during a public meeting.
Once again, donât say a thing you donât mean. If you mean it, if you say it, and own it.

*** Police were contacted by a local restaurant after staff found a cell phone left behind by a customer, later determined to be [Camilo Hurtado] Campos. Workers took a look through it to try and find info that would lead them to the owner, so they could return the phone. What they found, instead, were dozens of unconscionable videos and pictures of children, and so they called police.
During an immediate and tireless investigation, Detectives found hundreds of disturbing videos and pictures on that phone. In many of them, Campos recorded himself raping unconscious boys between approximately 9 and 17 years old.
The 63-year-old soccer coach has lived in Franklin for the last 20 years, with that time split between two neighborhoods: Hill Estates and, most recently, on Glass Lane in the downtown Franklin area. During off-hours, Campos frequented nearby school playgrounds in both neighborhoods where he approached kids and recruited them as players on his team. After gaining their trust, Campos invited many of the kids to his home where he drugged and then raped them.
The rapes of at least 10 children have been found on Camposâs phone, so far. Working with local schools, Detectives have identified two of his victims. Police hope that those familiar with Campos can help them put a name with the faces of the remaining victims.***Â https://www.franklintn.gov/Home/Components/News/News/10951/1801

Why ever let her out? Is there a shortage of double-murder perps?
Leslie Van Houten, a member of the Manson 'family' who was involved in one of the group's string of murders, has been released from prison.
Van Houten was convicted in 1971 of two counts of first-degree murder for her role in the murder of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca in 1969. She was released on Tuesday, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed to the Associated Press.***
Van Houten admitted to holding down Rosemary LaBianca as she was stabbed to death, then stabbed her after she died, the New York Times reported. The murder came just one day after the more famous murder of actress Sharon Tate and four others in the house of film director Roman Polanski. Hm, I wonder if the two phenomena are related?
The murder rate in Washington state rose to an all-time high in 2022, as the state reported consistently low police staffing and the lowest number of police officers per capita in the nation.
The Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs released its annual report Monday, reporting 394 murders last year, over a 16% increase compared to 338 murders in 2021. This year's murder numbers mark the highest number recorded since 1908 when law enforcement began using the National Incident-Based Reporting System to track information.
The number of police officers in Washington dropped to the lowest rate in state history, with data from 2022 showing 10,600 officers in The Evergreen State. The WASPC 2021 report documented 10,736 commissioned officers, slightly more than this year's data.
The staffing rate sits at 1.36 officers per 1,000 people, marking the lowest per capita rate of officers in the state since the 1980s. Washington state has the lowest law enforcement staffing rate in the country, with WASPC Executive Director Steven Strachan saying this data marks the 13th year in a row Washington holds ranks.
The number of arrests for drug and narcotics violations was down by 33% in 2022, totaling 1,444 arrests this year compared to 2,163 in the previous.
Washington also recorded an 8.5% increase in overall crime from last year, with violent crimes rising 8.9%.***https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/restoring-america/fairness-justice/washington-sees-highest-murder-rates-in-decades-as-police-staffing-hits-record-low

Who could possibly own the coke?

Freedom of religion issue
The Alaska Department of Corrections has instituted a new policy that banned the use of altar wine during religious ceremonies, effectively barring Catholic Mass from being offered at correctional facilities.
âNo altar wine or other alcoholic beverages will be used by anyone who is involved with any activity. The use of a non-alcoholic substitute (juice) for altar wine may be considered,â the interim policy established on June 6 reads.***
The interim policy effectively bans Catholic masses, which require a priest to consecrate and consume both bread and wine in order for the Mass to be considered valid.***
The 2004 Vatican instruction Redemptionis sacramentum states that âIt is altogether forbidden to use wine of doubtful authenticity or provenance, for the Church requires certainty regarding the conditions necessary for the validity of the sacraments. Nor are other drinks of any kind to be admitted for any reason, as they do not constitute valid matter.â
The Catechism of the Catholic Church says, âThe essential signs of the Eucharistic sacrament are wheat bread and grape wine.â
Catholic parishioners are only required to receive either bread or wine during communion, as Jesus is believed to be fully present in both species. But Catholic doctrine dictates that both species must still be present at the Mass and consumed by the celebrant. Yet the Alaska Department of Corrections policy does not even allow solely the priest to use or consume alcoholic wine.***
A source familiar said that Catholic Church leaders in Alaska are preparing for potential legal action to fight the policy, but are concerned about retaliation.
The Archdiocese of Anchorage-Juneau and the Diocese of Fairbanks did not immediately respond to a request for comment.***Â https://thespectator.com/topic/alaska-prisons-effectively-ban-catholic-mass-wine/

NY serial murder case

The man in custody was identified as Rex Heuermann, multiple sources told CNN Friday. How many murders he has been connected with is unclear.

You know the creeps are watching those videos with unsavory interest, right?
Many young people in Italy are expressing outrage on social media, after a judge cleared a school caretaker of groping a teenager, because it did not last long enough.
The case involves a 17-year-old student at a Rome high school.
She described walking up a staircase to class with a friend, when she felt her trousers fall down, a hand touching her buttocks and grabbing her underwear.
"Love, you know I was joking," the man told her when she turned around.
After the incident, which happened in April 2022, the student reported the caretaker, 66-year-old Antonio Avola, to police.
He admitted to groping the student without consent, but said it was a joke.
A Rome public prosecutor asked for a three-and-a-half year prison sentence but this week the caretaker was acquitted of sexual assault charges. According to the judges, what happened "does not constitute a crime" because it lasted less than 10 seconds.

Good sentencing decision
PITTSBURGH (AP) â The gunman who killed 11 people at a Pittsburgh synagogue in 2018 is eligible for the death penalty, a federal jury announced Thursday, setting the stage for further evidence and testimony on whether he should be sentenced to death or life in prison.
The government is seeking capital punishment for Robert Bowers, who raged against Jewish people online before storming the Tree of Life synagogue with an AR-15 rifle and other weapons in the nationâs deadliest antisemitic attack. The jury agreed with prosecutors that Bowers â who spent six months planning the attack and has since expressed regret that he didnât kill more people â had formed the requisite legal intent to kill.
Bowersâ lawyers argued that his ability to form intent was impaired by mental illness and a delusional belief that he could stop a genocide of white people by killing Jews who help immigrants.
Jurors reached the verdict after less than two hours of deliberation. As it was read, Bowers showed little reaction in keeping with his demeanor throughout the trial. In the courtroom gallery, survivors and victimsâ relatives heeded the judgeâs request to keep their emotions in check.***

Eh, they all look alike, right?
Manuel Diego Soza had no idea the trouble ahead when he tossed his old Texas license plate in the trash at an AutoZone store earlier this year.
Months after throwing away the old plate and putting his new Colorado plates on his silver Subaru Forester, police officers showed up to Sozaâs Denver apartment and took him to jail on theft charges.
Their investigation hinged on the expired Texas license plate. A Hispanic man had walked out of a Walmart store with a stolen $199 speaker and climbed into a vehicle bearing that license plate. A Westminster police detective said Soza, who is also Hispanic, was âclearlyâ the thief.***
the expired Texas license plate was registered to Sozaâs silver Subaru Forester, not a black Subaru Outback. Soza had a separate, active Colorado vehicle registration for the silver Subaru Forester, police records show.
Arrick then pulled up a picture of Soza, who moved to Colorado in 2021 and works as an attorney, and compared it to a surveillance photo of the man who stole the speaker. She concluded the two Hispanic men were one and the same.
âThe suspect who stole the merchandise is clearly Manuel Diego Soza,â she wrote in a report.
But that conclusion was flawed, Soza contends. Beyond the neck tattoo, the man in the photo was believed to be between 18 and 25 years old, with a height of about 5 feet, 3 inches; Soza is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 32 years old.
âHe had a neck tattoo, he didnât look anything like me,â Soza said. âHe was just another Hispanic male. I assume (the detective) saw my name and was like, âHispanic male, this matches somehow.'â

West and a friend tried to escape the barricaded âCapitol Hill Autonomous Zoneâ that the Black Lives Matter mob had established. They were shot in their car, costing West his eye and part of his skull. His friend lost his life, prompting his father to file a wrongful death lawsuit just weeks ago.
"Through their actions and inactions, the city of Seattle, Seattle agencies, Seattle employees, the County of King, the State of Washington, their agents and elected officials are responsible for the preventable and predictable significant injuries of Robert West," West's attorneys said in their notice of claims.

Cartels fuel shoplifiting?
Mexican cartels are quietly expanding their global criminal empires to include mass theft operations targeting big-box stores, luxury retail brands, and small businesses, then selling the stolen goods online and laundering the profits through Chinese brokers.
The same transnational criminal organizations, known as cartels, that have facilitated the greatest-ever human smuggling operation across the U.S.-Mexico border over the past two years and simultaneously caused the fentanyl epidemic in America now have a hand in organized retail crime.
âItâs a $70 billion a year enterprise â organized retail crime,â said Eric DeLaune, special agent in charge at the Department of Homeland Securityâs Homeland Security Investigations, HSI, arm within U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, during an announcement this week of a public-private partnership between HSI; U.S. attorneys in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi; and industry leaders from Albertsons, Home Depot, and Walmart to create an Organized Retail Crime Alliance.
These organized theft rings are not merely shoplifters â they are part of a larger band of criminals that has infiltrated every state.
"In contrast to shoplifters, organized theft groups engage in large-scale thefts which rely on teams of 'boosters' who steal goods from major retail stores, 'cleaners' who disguise the origins of stolen merchandise, 'fencers' who resell products through brick-and-mortar fronts and major e-commerce websites, and professional money launderers who funnel illicit profits to criminals orchestrating schemes," HSI wrote in a June press release.***Â https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/business/mexican-drug-cartels-behind-surge-in-retail-thefts

Good column Hunter Biden and the âDeep Stateâ
Some in the government appeared to run interference on behalf of the presidentâs son. But others followed the law without fear or favor.
By Eli Lake
July 24, 2023Â https://www.thefp.com/p/hunter-biden-and-the-deep-state
The gist of the article is that DoJ and the FBI destroyed their credibility with the Steele dossier, denying that Hunterâs laptop was Hunterâs laptop when it was in FBI possession, publicly saying that Hunterâs laptop was Russian disinformation, interfering in and slow walking the prosecution of Hunterâs tax cheating. The good news is that some federal employees stood up and told the truth.

Broken windows catches a lot more than vandals.
Nearly half of NYC fare-evaders arrested this year had open warrants for other crimes â including at least one accused killer.
Of the 2,502 people cuffed for fare beating this year, 1,136 â or just over 45% â were already being sought for arrest when they tried to hitch a free ride on the cityâs transit system, according to disturbing new NYPD data obtained by The Post.
NYPD Transit Chief Michael Kemper told the MTA Board Monday that fare-beaters nabbed this year also had warrants for weapon possession, felony assault, and drugs.
Many fare-beaters also came strapped â with more than 200 caught carrying deadly weapons, including 13 guns and over 200 knives, Kemper told the MTA Board.***
The shocking numbers come a month after Claude White, a homeless man accused of fatally stabbing Tavon Silver to death last month on a southbound 4 train, was charged â days later after he was caught trying to skip out on a subway fare in Harlem wearing blood-stained pants, cops said.
White, 33, was squabbling with Silver, 32, over drugs, then grabbed a steak knife Silver had on him, and plunged it twice into his chest, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said this week. White then tossed the knife into the subway tunnel, threw his shirt in the trash, and fled the 23rd Street station, Bragg said.
White, who had been on parole and was wanted in connection with a bank robbery on June 6, now faces murder and weapon charges. ***Â https://nypost.com/2023/07/22/nearly-half-of-fare-beaters-caught-this-year-have-had-active-warrants/

Spying on U.S. citizens
The FBI improperly used surveillance powers to conduct searches for information on a U.S. senator, a state lawmaker and a state judge, according to court records released Friday as part of a public records request.
The FBIâs improper use of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) was documented in an opinion from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) and is sure to pose challenges for an intelligence community lobbying for the reauthorization for what it sees as one of its most vital tools.
The tool â which allowed for warrantless spying on foreigners located abroad â has long been criticized as a backdoor tool for gaining information on Americans who may be communicating with those being surveilled.
And critics complain the information gathered by the agency through 702 is too easily tapped for investigations with no foreign nexus.
The FISC outlined three examples of instances where FBI personnel conducted searches of âsensitive query terms,â like those of U.S. public officials or candidates, without first seeking approval from the FBIâs deputy director.
âIn June 2022, an analyst conducted four queries of Section 702 information using the last names of a U.S. Senator and a state senator, without further limitation,â the opinion states.***Â https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/4110850-fbi-improperly-used-702-surveillance-powers-on-us-senator/

Surprised he didnât offer her coke/weed/meth
A disgraced Wisconsin prosecutor secretly recorded himself having sex with three women, including one he was prosecuting.
Daniel Steffen, 52, was an assistant district attorney in Burnett County, Wisconsin, during his crimes. He was heard in at least one of the recordings promising leniency in exchange for sex, according to the criminal complaint.
He was sentenced to 18 months in prison after he was convicted in April. He faced a maximum of 10.5 years behind bars.*** Â
Steffen's illegal escapades between 2018 and 2020 were exposed after a witness told investigators that Victim 1 "openly talked about having sexual relations with a Burnett County ADA in exchange for leniency on criminal cases."
The woman was in court after violating an order of protection against her child's father. She ultimately had to pay a fine.
Victim 1 originally denied having relations with Steffen while she was being questioned by investigators, but she later admitted to it after they told her she was seen in a recording on Steffen's iPad, which was seized as evidence, court documents said.*** https://www.foxnews.com/us/attorney-creepily-winks-camera-secret-sex-tapes-woman-he-was-prosecuting-court-docs

Paying for your things is for chumps
San Francisco shoplifters were seen walking out of a Walgreens drugstore with items they did not pay for â on three occasions while CNN cameras rolled.
While reporting on the shoplifting crisis facing San Francisco, CNNâs Kyung Lah noticed a man walking out of the Richmond neighborhood store with items in hand.
âDid that guy pay?â Lah asked a store employee standing nearby. The employee told her he had not.
Lah said she witnessed two other shoplifters stealing items during her 30 minutes in the store.
Stores across San Francisco have begun chaining up frozen food cooler sections and placing items displayed on shelves behind locked plexiglass. Staff are now required to help store patrons access any items they desire to purchase.***Â https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/crime/san-francisco-shoplifters-walgreens-cnn-tv-segment

democracy in California
A local school board president in California has been inundated with threats that left-wing activists will dismember her, kill her children, and slaughter her pets. Her crime? Saying that teachers should not keep parents in the dark if their children begin to âidentifyâ as transgender.
The new Chino Valley (California) Unified School District Board of Education policy states that school officials will notify parents in writing within three days if a child seeks to âidentifyâ as a gender âother than the studentâs biological sex,â use different pronouns, adopt a different name, or use the restroom or join a sports team of the opposite sex.
The board adopted the resolution Thursday by a 4-1 vote, with member Donald Bridge casting the lone dissenting vote.
âThe next morning, our district got a phone callâ from an anonymous caller threatening âto kill me, and they said that they were going to dismemberâ school board president Sonja Shaw, the official revealed on âWashington Watch With Tony Perkinsâ on Monday. Police alerted Shaw to the threat shortly before a previous interview on the show last Friday.
Then Shaw looked at her district email account, where she said she saw messages stating, âYouâre going to die,â with a series of profane epithets. âYour children are going to die, and your animals are going to die.â For a âpoint of reference, they would name what kind of animals I had,â Shaw added.
âI also got notification that people who identify as being in the terrorist organization Antifa posted on their website, âWe declare war on Sonja Shaw,ââ Shaw told Perkins, adding that the group posted her address. âThey said, âWe know where you sleep,ââ the same message an angry mob screamed outside the home of then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson in 2018. âThey said things like, âUse all force possible to stop her.ââ***Â https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/07/25/radicals-threaten-kill-dismember-school-board-president-adopting-parental-rights-policy/

JP Morgan gets scuzzier and scuzzier
Jeffrey Epstein brought a slew of deep-pocketed clients to JPMorgan Chase â including Google co-founder Sergey Brin, who became one of the bankâs biggest clients with investments worth more than $4 billion, according to court papers.
A bombshell legal filing in the US Southern District of New York late Monday revealed that âBrin became a client of JPMorganâs San Francisco Private Bank in 2004â â one year after Epstein introduced Brin to Jes Staley, a former executive at JPMorgan.
âThe overall Brin relationship is one of the largest in the Private Bank, of +$4BN,â wrote banker Robert A. Keller in a memo, who the documents claim was introduced to Epstein by Staley.
Brin, whoâs also behind the single-family office Bayshore Global, also met with the CEO of JPMorganâs asset and wealth management division, Mary Erdoes, plus other JPMorgan executives and members of Bayshore, the memo filed in court states.
âWe work very closely with the Sergey Brin family office ⌠and communicate with them at least 1 x per day,â Keller added on the memo.**** https://nypost.com/2023/07/25/jeffrey-epstein-helped-jpmorgan-land-googles-sergey-brin-as-client/

Classic left wing ethic complainers
EXCLUSIVE â A Supreme Court advocacy group alleging ethics violations among justices including Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito likely failed to disclose its own apparent lobbying in violation of federal law, according to experts.
Fix the Court, a charity that used to be a project of the New Venture Fund, an influential nonprofit group that the left-wing dark money behemoth and for-profit consultancy Arabella Advisors manages, is helping to lead a seemingly coordinated campaign demanding Supreme Court justices publicize more about their finances. Those mounting efforts haven't stopped Fix the Court from not reporting activities on financial disclosures that could constitute grassroots lobbying, multiple tax lawyers told the Washington Examiner.
That Fix the Court may have not disclosed lobbying could further undercut its position as a watchdog committed to "transparency." In May, Fix the Court Executive Director Gabe Roth notably panicked after unwittingly leaking to the Washington Examiner his group's donors, which included liberal entities such as the New Venture Fund, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. Senate Democrats last week advanced a bill supported by Roth called the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency Act, which aims to mandate a code of conduct for justices.****Â https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/courts/fix-the-court-supreme-court-ethics-lobbying-disclosure

BIASED REPORTING
Over the past few years, concerns about media manipulation have been growing. One technique used in the media is biased reporting. According to the Catalog of Bias (2019), reporting bias is âa systematic distortion resulting from the selective disclosure or concealment of information by those involved in the design, conduct, analysis, or are divided intoâ. Selective reporting, editorial bias, and emotion are one of the few examples of how media reporting can be manipulated. Coverage of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests taking place across America in 2020 is a recent example of bias-related issues. Although most media outlets reported the protests as peaceful, a few conservative organizations portrayed them as violent. The events resulting from this selective reporting may have been biased. Besides selective reporting, editorial bias is another way journalists create and hand out news. Editorial bias refers to situations in which decisions are influenced by factors related to authors or their environment (MatĂas-Guiu & GarcĂa-Ramos, 2011). For example, in the 2020 U.S. presidential election, many news outlets focused more on debates about Democratic candidate Joe Biden than debates about Republican candidate Donald Trump. For some people, such editorial biases can affect their opinions about the current elections taking place. Another example of biased reporting is sensationalism- which is when news organizations exaggerate a story to attract viewers. For example, during the 2020 pandemic (COVID-19), some media outlets exaggerated the number of cases and deaths, creating fear and panic among the population. Biased reporting can have a big impact on people. By spreading fake news and creating a manipulated view of events, biased reporting could end up dividing a society. People would then find it difficult to accept ideas because this can reinforce their existing thoughts and ideas. In conclusion, there is a major problem of reporting bias in the media that needs attention. Selective reporting, editorial bias, and sensationalism are just a few examples of biased reporting that can significantly affect how readers view events. In order to have a better understanding of events, it is important that we, as users of social media, recognize the manipulative ways in which news media can deliver information. References:

Pretty annoying to see people talk about the 2020 BLM protests like BLM was created that year. Black Lives Matter, just the name and specific phrase, was made back in 2013. In history that's not very long, but to see people alive, mostly white people, going "Racism still exists????" like police brutality against black people hasn't always been an issue in America is infuriating.
I just heard a youtuber call those protests, "the biggest civil rights movement since the sixties!" And no! Are you fucking kidding me? Going only in America and only about anti-black discrimination, I'm not even American, and even I know about the LA riots, how the AIDS epidemic was very racist, the rallies against the crack epidemic, the Million Man March, and even the BLM protests back in 2014. And that's not even the fucking surface
