Also the fact that he's so hesitant gives me the vibes that he's probably never/rarely done this? Like :

Victor DID however take away his beautiful brown eyes, and that cannot be absolved.

He's really not as short as he seems!! He's just always curled into himself like a pangolin. Love that deeply.

He still reacts the same, too! Shoulders all tense, a lil leaned back, lips pursed. Idk I just like how the animators keep the Vibes of characters. All those little traits.

It's interesting to see how while Victor is able to cure ailments, it also pulls away aspects of the individual's personality. Like that's Huck but that isn't Huck, y'know? We see it way more obviously w/ Salo in ep 4, which is real cool

Can't wait to see the consequences of this on his physical and mental health <3 need to see him going through it tbh. He will find peace eventually.

With his heart in his throat and his nerves on fire, the Exarch placed the Warriors of Light’s hand on his hood. He was ruining everything he spent a century building. N’shah wasn’t fooled anyway, he couldn’t act like he was evil or like he did this all for his own gain. Raha would never do something like that, not even given a hundred years to mull.

One half of his rational mind told him to think of a plan now so he could manipulate the conversation as he needed so things could get back on track, but his heart was elsewhere. It was being weighed beneath those warm eyes. His pupils were wide with that same love he used to have when he’d say red was his favorite color. Those eyes that still saw the little fragment that was left in the Exarch named G’raha Tia. It made him want to just give his warrior that piece of himself like a crystal he could break off and gift, even if there was bone still in it.

The Crystal Exarch’s breath stayed perfectly still as he felt his hood slowly being removed. He didn’t feel worthy to look his old friend in the eye — cowardice with how willing he was when his eyes were obscured. He stared instead to his crystalline hand, the lack of flesh a reminder of who he is not. And yet, in just another moment, his face was pulled close into a desperate embrace.

“Even if you are someone new,” N’shah murmured against the Exarch’s hair, “I can’t stop myself from clinging to any semblance of who I lost. So I hope you’ll forgive me when I call you.. G’raha…”

Any semblance of who he lost. The scent of rose and sandalwood caked into the man’s clothes was painful on eyes straining to stay dry. The way he hugged needfully but he still restrained from his full strength. The way he sang the name G’raha like it was his favorite word on the very star. This was N’shah Tia, and yet, not the one the Exarch gave all his adoration to so many centuries ago. That man was twisted at the lung by the Black Rose whilst G’raha Tia was busy fulfilling his destiny sleeping for eternity. But this was one whose fate could be rewritten. He needed this man to live.

“I hope you’ll forgive me in kind… N’shah…”
