Some people are good at keeping track of things. They keep records of everything, sometimes even the wrongs done to them. Others forget and frequently misplace things. They even forget the wrongs done to them, a good thing, but also forget the good done to them as well. Then there are those who fall somewhere in between, remembering some things, forgetting some things.

One thing that is good for all to keep track of is the blessings of God in our lives. We are encouraged and reminded to remember his blessings and to give thanks to him for them. Call to mind the blessings you have received from when you woke up until now, and you will find much to rejoice (have joy again) about! Think about all God has brought you through from birth until now. Praise him for even being able to read this!

This is one time it is good to talk to yourself. Say as David said: Bless the Lord O my soul, and all that is in me, bless his holy name!
