I had to rant after reading Kinich's character story 1 and a bit of 2 so like, spoilers for anyone who finds this.

First of all, WHAT?!? I know they have stories with darker themes but I wasn't expecting them to touch on domestic abuse like that. Or maybe I missed a lot of character lore, idk.

Second, poor Kinich??? He saw how his father died out of the consequences of both their actions on his seventh birthday and concluded that absolutely nothing is free. His freedom came at the cost of solitude and that freshly seven year old boy dragged his father's stiff; Mind you, they specifically used the word STIFF corpse from the bottom of that cliff using a grappling hook with tears in his eyes. I'm not sure if this is what they're implying because it's no longer fresh in my mind, but he learned his E skill because of that??? MIND YOU, HE WAS SEVEN!!!

Then after that, he lived alone. He had all the necessary survival skills, given that he took over the housework when his mom ran away (leaving him to take the brunt of his asshole father's beatings alone) but that poor boy had no one :((( couldn't even find it in himself to accept any help from the Scions of the Canopy.

Outside of Shadow Company, he still holds connections to his old unit, some people from church, so on and so forth. Oddly social fella who probably would have Facebook (yes, Facebook) friends from different places. Very subjective.

Friends? He considers people he's friendly enough with as friends - a lot of superior officers in Shadow Company classify as such. (Don't feel comfortable tagging others w/OCs unless I get the go ahead with their dynamic, haha😅)

Close to? Was with his former captain. That blew up in his face. It's a bit hard to say if he's close to anyone in Shadow Company (again, wary of other creators), though...

@mr-1-2-3-4 's Delta has a functional friendship of sorts with Moth.
