SYNOPSIS: The world did, in fact, end that day. WARNINGS: Mentions of death.

ㅤSilence.

ㅤJust. Pure. Silence.

ㅤPoeple were yelling as they ran away from the bridge. Blinding lights shinned from above, signalling that the agents' helicopters had arrived, but you heard nothing.

ㅤAs typical as it sounds. It was like the world had stopped in that moment. Everything was in slow motion. . . then. . .the sound of metal piercing flesh struck your ears. It was the harsh awakening you didn't want.

ㅤYou were lucky enough to have gotten out of the cave before Ein had come around, poisoning the minds of the wolves who had taken refuge in the cave. Parts of you were thankful for the sudden trip that needed to be taken, but you could have done something to help, and that gulit ate at you.

ㅤThough people would have considered you lucky, at this current moment, you felt anything but lucky. Screams filled your ears, the harsh wind from the helicopters propellers shoved past you. The world moved at a steady pace once again.

ㅤReturned back to reality.

ㅤ". . . Blaze?" You called out in a whispered tone, like he could hear it over the helicopters flying above everyone. Flash lights hitting down on the bridge where Aaron stood, blood covered sword in hand. His face was stone cold, not a single emotion flashed across those fire eyes. Not. A. Single. One.

ㅤYou had gotten closer. You didn't know why. An auto-pilot moment, but you were stopped by one of the main agents. Rowan. He shook his head, knowing exactly who it was you were heading towards.

ㅤDisbelief was written all over your face as you looked away from Rowan and towards Blaze, calling out his name once again. It hasn't registered in your mind yet. You were in the denial stage of grief already.

ㅤ"[Name]. . " Rowan spoke with such softness, as if he was talking to a little girl who couldn't grab the concept of death.

"No. . . No. He. . ." You wanted to find the words that would convince you he is okay, but you couldn't. Because you knew he wasn't okay.

ㅤ"Blaze" You said a bit louder.

ㅤ"Blaze!!" Your voice got louder and louder with each call-out. Rowan held you back with little force, not wanting to harm you in the state you're currently in. But he knew that he'd have to do something if you kept going.

"Blaze, please!!" You screamed at him. Hopinf he'd miraculously get up from the floor and dust it off as nothing but a punch to the gut.

ㅤBut, he didn't. He just laid there, the pool of red growing larger and larger till small dropelts fell into the clear lake below the bridge, staining it.

ㅤ"Wake up!" You choked on a sob that was raising up from your stomach. Swallowing it back was going to be no use. So, you allowed it to spill from your lips. The teardrops rolled down your cheeks as you screamed from the top of your lungs.

ㅤRowan held you as you dropped to the floor, the weight of everything crushing down on top of you. You knelt there, screaming and crying out for Blaze.

ㅤThe best day of your life had just become the worst day of your life.

Okay this is like a bit funny to think about but like, the concept of someone trying to misgender Travis is hilarious to me.

Because this dude it's just somewhere in the gender spectrum no one knows where though. Not even Dante knows, you know it's bad when not even Dante knows of this information like Travis has never outright confirmed his gender she just takes whatever pronouns you throw at it, they don't care they'll take it and acknowledge it

me and lions objectively correct mystreet character ranking (not clickbait fr fr)

So let me explain the ranks here a bit and why characters are in certain places:

S Tier: Characters that have a solid foundation or general character arcs that both me and Lion liked they’re story and character was enjoyable from beginning to end.

Lucinda is the only S tier character because she managed to remained both consistent character throughout the show. And while she doesn’t have a general arc that really doesn’t make her character any less likable. She’s just a silly little guy that activates the neurons.

A Tier: characters that we found really strong and compelling but have one really big glaring issue from putting them in S.

Rowan is here simply because he was really enjoyable, a genuine healthy father figure, and was just super cool to watch. His problem: lack of screen time.

Zianna has the same problem as Rowan her importance to the plot overall is also a factor.

Zane and Kc have the problems of both certain parts of there stories leaving us feeling icky. Like Zane becoming an over protective incel that sees aph as an object, or KC’s shipping shrine and canonically being a stalker.

B Tier are characters that we liked but just simply couldn’t peek are interest character wise due to one reason or another.

I’m gonna try and speed run the rest of these so:

Garroth: same problem with Zane but worse his obsession with aph even with or without the inclusion of mcd feels unearned and generally problematic. He’s goofy though and has a solid character arc with his brother

Eric and Terry: goofy and likable but nothing much outside of that also besides Rowan they are the only good parental figures in the show. (Eric is higher because he has more screen time)

Daniel: he’s voiced by ross has an interesting character concept, he’s the only werewolf character that didn’t frustrate me personally at some point. He’s just not all that important.

vlyad teony and GF captain: all interesting characters that weren’t in the show enough.

blaze: making in here on charm and charisma alone. (Also because our friend June fell in love with him, you can imagine his reaction to season 6.)

Brandon: mainly here because Lion said so.

C tier is mostly for the meh characters that we didn’t feel super strongly about for the most part.

Travis: didn’t have a decent enough character or story to really make us care in anyway. While pm seymour gave it their all it wasn’t really enough to keep us engaged.

Laurence: he has like one or two really good moments. And some laughs. Didn’t keep me or him engaged, especially after he just vanished.

from Ivy to kai: all these characters have really likable personalities and stories but they all generally had the one thing in common where they just weren’t in the show enough or there character took a direction we agreed wasn’t all that good or interesting.

Ivan: he serves his purpose as a one off villain. That’s all.

White haired girl: she just exist for a bump in the road in Aarmau.

Aphmau: none of her arcs are interesting, her personality isn’t consistent and when Jess does stick to a personality for her it’s generally not that likable.

D Tier: where hitting characters that both of us generally felt were lacking or straight up didn’t like.

Sylvanna: this may shock some of you but I’m going to be brutally honest, half of the reason y’all like her is because you HC her as being overprotective because Aaron is a groomer. Now let me be clear that’s not a problem, however that doesn’t change the fact in the actual show, it’s written more like an emotional incest situation. If Aaron being a groomer was “played straight” as it were she’d be much higher. But the canon reason of her overprotective (at least the reason were given initially) is that Aaron does a better job at taking care of Aph. It’s not because she actually fears Aph is in danger as we come to learn. It leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Nicole: didn’t like that Dante was the one punished for their break up. They even mention later that she was being unreasonable. But Dante was at fault don’t get me wrong. But she also wasn’t in the show a hole lot and from what we see of her, just didn’t stick out to us.

Michi: plot device in character form, she could’ve been so much better if her character wasn’t watered down to “Aarmau Speed Bump”

From Kacey to Nekoette: all characters that felt shoved in for plot purposes and didn’t have enough personality to make up for it. They all range of for being added for stupid reasons like another conflict or fan-service. Some of these are even combinations of those reasons plus they just have some really unlikable moments that rubbed us the wrong way or even worse did not help the plot at all by being there.

Katelyn: I’ve made it extremely clear I don’t like this character and she’s at the very bottom because I believe her offenses are worse than most characters before but don’t deserve hell tier. She technically “works through” her fantasy racism and other problems just not in a compelling or even satisfying way. Even her reasons just didn’t justify her actions for us.

HELL: characters that did morally deplorable things therefore we did not like them on principal. ONTOP of being poorly written because in this series they go hand in hand.

Rachel gaslit her son and told Melissa to get Aaron home by any means necessary and that was implied to be the blackmail Melissa got from Michi. She generally invaded his privacy and almost ruined her son and an innocent girls relationship because of toxic traditional family values. (I believe she would’ve done this with or without the ultima curse, remember, that all what I just wrote was something written before that was even conceived.) and then does a 180 when season 5 hits. We all laughed and played crab rave when she was publicly executed.

Elizabeth abandoned her kids don’t care if that part wasn’t her fault because she was sealed away because again that was written before season 4-5 (we also see Zack abandoning his kid so like it’s implied she did it before she was sealed away anyway.) Also allowed a literal demon to do experiment a on her daughter. She doesn’t get any satisfying conclusion to her villain arc and she’s part of the post credit cliffhanger.

Zack cheated on his wife and abandoned his child after experimenting on her and was Michaels right hand only to grow a conscious after the literal child abuser tells him to produce a spine. Was not in the show enough to be a “I love to hate” kinda character.

Garte and Derek are both on the list for basically the same reason neither of there characters end in a satisfying way. Dereks just worse because he directly abused Aaron verbally.

Emmalyn is here because me and Lion took her as a stand in for ghost sense they are the same character. And she SA’s Zane. Ghost also confuses the plot heavily. And made the story so hard to follow in season 6. She actively makes both the story worse both inside and out.

Ein stalked and mind controlled multiple characters and was both indirectly and directly responsible for multiple innocent peoples deaths. There’s more you could say about him but he’s just not a compelling villain. His plans are not his own, the plans he does come up with only work by chance. He’s basically if you took Michi and cranked her up to 11.

Micheal is a really bad uncompelling villain outside of MCD besides killing people and world domination or whatever. He does nothing interesting with the time he’s given.

Balto and Aaron are both different flavors of pedos. Balto tries ask aph to prom, like even if bruh was just doing it for power; what the fuck. Even if was compelling he wouldn’t be any higher.

Gene is also a pedophile and gets Ein to take pictures of her when he graduates college, which is a shame because he actually does have a compelling story but because of how problematic his flaw is we couldn’t rank him any higher.

Aaron has been talked to death about so I won’t repeat what’s been said a hundred times over. But pedophillia, mass genocide, and a general inconsistent characterization is everyone’s main problem.

Ace: Our friend Ace was in call with us, we gave her one chance to save a character from a lower tier.

Melissa: originally in hell tier for enabling her parents and taking black mail from Michi, and just not having a spine when it came to the abuse of Aaron and that part of her character being sweated under the rug as she hardly had any consequences for gaslighting him. Even going so far to say they’ve changed and have gotten better when they clearly had not. Emotionally manipulating him at almost any chance she had. The reason why she rescued her and not her other choice Aphmau is because Ace is a lesbian.

MCD Heathers AU

I didn't ask for this, I had a passing teehee funny thought and then it stopped being funny and actually turned out to be a brain worm that took over all my neurons. I do not know what the fuck happened to make this AU but here we are.

Main thing to know before I come up here and elaborate in a later draft, this AU is imagining a production of Heathers featuring the cast and crew of mcd. It's an AU that's largely non magical other than the furry stuff, and it's distinctly the mcd characters and how I characterize them, not the MyStreet version of these characters. I think I've made my... thoughts on the matter of MyStreet characterization well known.

Anyways, the real actual main thing I meant to write was that this AU is also two productions. One is the main cast, and then there's the Understudy Cast! I might put that in a separate post because holy fuck this is already going to be a lot and I have to pull the entire cast of Heathers out of the pits of my memories.

Blaze - Long Time No See

It had been a long time since you’d seen Blaze.  Since high school, actually.  You guys dated for most of junior year, and all of senior year.  The two of you were madly in love.  But sadly, life got in the way.  You went to college all the way across the country, and refused to make Blaze wait for you.  He had plenty of girls waiting on him, he couldn’t waste his time with someone who wasn’t there.

So when you saw him on Starlight, you were more than surprised.  It’d been more than ten years, but you still thought about him a lot.  You hadn’t dated anyone since him - nobody could catch your eye quite like he did.  He’d probably forotten all about you, which was why you were very surprised when he called out your name.

“y/n!” he yelled, running over to you and hugging you tightly.  You’d been called to Starlight by Aaron to help him adjust to werewolf life and become a pack.  You had no idea Blaze was there, too.

“Blaze!” you said excitedly as you hugged him.  When he finally let you go, you smiled at him.  “It’s so good to see you!  You look good.”

“Don’t I always?”  He smirked, making you laugh.  You’d missed that.  “You’re looking pretty good yourself, though.  You been working out?”

You sighed.  “I wish, if I had a longer notice on coming here I would’ve prepared my beach body.”

He chuckled.  “Well, I think you look beautiful.”

Your face blushed red as you smiled at him.  “Thank you, Blaze.”  You sat down at a table, and he followed you.  “So, what became of you after I went to college?”

He shrugged.  “Just kinda livin’ a normal life, ya know?”

You chuckled.  “Yeah, I know.”  You wanted to ask him about girls.  Had he dated anyone since you broke up?  Obviously, he had to have dated somebody.  What if he was in a relationship?  What if he was married?

“So, how was college?” he asked as he sat back in his chair.

You shrugged your shoulders.  “Very...  Long.  Boring.  I met some nice people, though.”

“Anyone I need to worry about?”

You playfully rolled your eyes.  “What do you mean worry about?”

He shrugged.  “Competition.  I need to know what guys I’m up against.”

Your face blushed red.  “G-Guys...?”

He nodded.  “Yeah, you know...  Your fly honeys.  Your other boyfriends.”

You slowly shook your head.  “There are none.  Nobody ever caught my eye quite like you.  How about you, tell me about the girls you’ve seen.  I’m sure it’s a long list.”

He chuckled lightly.  “Actually...  There aren’t any.  Like you, nobody else caught my eye.”  A light red dusted across his face.  “I was uh...  I’ve been hoping you’d call.”

You’d debated it many times, both during and after college.  But you thought it’d be better not to call, since you thought he’d have another girlfriend.  Apparently though, you were wrong.  And you couldn’t have been happier about it.

“So how about dinner tonight?  Reunite the old high-school passion?”

You laughed but nodded.  “I’d like that a lot.”

He smiled, and his black tail began to sway behind him.  “Great!  Meet me on the beach at six.  Don’t be late!”

You smiled back at him.  “Trust me, I wouldn’t dream of it.”

MyStreet AU Part 3

Part 2

Warnings: More angst, more murder mention, kinda anxiety

A few days after Aphmau came to visit, Ein and Blaze were cleared to go home. He breathed a small sigh of relief after leaving the crowded building, breathing in the fresh air. Until his chest tightened as he remembered something. 

He didn’t have a home. He didn’t have any way to buy a home. And who was going to sell a home to a murderer anyways? Where was he supposed to stay?

As they approached where Aph’s friends were waiting for them, he began to feel nervous. He had no idea if they forgave him, or even knew what happened, or if they believed it was real. All he knew was that he’d hurt them.

“Aphmau!” he heard a high pitched voice call out as they drew close. He looked up to see a pink-haired Meif’wa run up and envelop Aphmau in a hug, causing the short werewolf to squawk a little in surprise.

“KAWAII~CHAN YOU’RE HEAVY!” she complained, Ein tilting his head at the name he faintly remembered. She’s Aph’s best friend, right? He backed up a little, trying to stay out of sight behind Blaze. That is, until three other werewolves he remembered more distinctly came running up.

“BLAZE!” they yelled, running into the big werewolf’s arms, Daniel, if he remembered correctly, Dottie and Rylan. They seemed to be very close with the redhead, which made sense. Most werewolf friendships were tight long after school.

“We missed you so much!” Dottie’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

“We were so worried about you!” Rylan chimed in.

“We thought you were dead for good!” Daniel added, hugging a little tighter.

“Don’t worry guys, we’re fine. The doctors took care of us,” he assured them, earning two blue and one… light purple? Pink? Brown? He wasn’t sure. Three colorful, confused gazes up at him. 

“We?”

“Us?”

“Oh, yeah, you guys remember the texts I sent you? About how Ein wasn’t really in control? And a few days after that, about how he was actually really cool?” Blaze asked them, smiling as they all nodded. 

“Yeah, I kinda wanna see the real him!” Dottie added onto her affirmation, the two boys with her nodding the agreement.

“Well…” he stepped to the side (much to Ein’s dismay) and motioned towards the nervous werewolf, whose gray ears were tipped back with fear, his tail tucked close and eyes matching his ears wide. He felt the urge to back away, to hide behind Blaze, to avoid the three sets of eyes on him. He felt like there were more, like all the others were staring at him (though they had been told by Aphmau not to do so, to keep him from freaking out and hiding somewhere). Finally, Daniel spoke, softly, as though dealing with a nervous puppy.

“Hey there… are you scared?”

Ein backed up a step, nodding a bit. He could see the concern in the other werewolves’ eyes but still was worried they’d get upset at him.

“I can imagine, it sounds hard, doing all that stuff, and having no control…” Rylan muttered, placing a gentle hand on his arm.

“But we forgive you,” Dottie assured him. “It’d be mean of us to treat you bad over something you couldn’t control…”

“Plus, Blaze told us you were actually really nice. And we were planning on getting a really big house, so, since you have nowhere to stay, maybe you could stay with us!” Rylan offered.

Ein let his shoulders relax a little. Maybe he could trust them.

“S-sure… if it’s not too much trouble…” he finally spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. 

He jumped a bit as he felt three sets of arms wrapping around him in a group hug, feeling like he was about to overflow with emotion. So many of them were accepting him, telling him it was ok, forgiving him, willing to comfort him, after all he had done, all he remembered and… and he couldn’t help it when he began to cry again.

His ear flicked as he heard someone over near Aphmau mumble “Oh my gosh that’s so cute..” and looked over to see everyone near her, all of them looking at him, all of their gazes soft or indifferent.

All, except for Aaron’s. In his dark eyes he still saw contempt. Disgust. Hatred. He didn’t blame him, honestly, but it still hurt. He still wanted the approval from him, the approval everyone else seemed to be so quick and willing to give. So, he figured he’d just have to earn it.

I miss Blaze so much why did they have to kill off his character and then proceed to show him in the afterlife asdfghjk he didn’t deserve any of it, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time :(

How did the other werewolves find out? DID they ever find out? Was someone in charge of taking his body away? Imagine his family members seeing everything on Starlight go down and wondering if he’s alright?

Rant about Mystreet Season 6

Now I love Aphmau’s channel and series, have since I was 10, but this last season of Mystreet and parts of season 5 could have been so much better. This is meant to be no “attack” or “jab” at Jess and Jason’s writing, these are merely opinions from a long-time fan. I am gonna go on a bit of a rant about the parts I personally feel could have been MUCH improved on. I would like to preface this with saying that I really do not enjoy this season and therefore do not re watch it a lot. Its also 4:40 am my time so this might turn into a sleep deprived ramble but anyways, here we go...

SPOILERS FOR SEASON 5/6 OF APHMAUS MYSTREET 

Kawaii Chan/ Nana

I adore Nana. She has consistently been my favourite female character for all 6 seasons of the show and in diaries but holy she has done wrong this past season. Getting almost killed and then not having any involvement what so ever. The majority of her screen time, especially near the fight with the demon warlock, just felt like the writers forgot she was there and wanted to give Moeka lines. Her involvement with Zane was the only moments she seemed to have. Speaking of her and Zane... While I love them as a couple, I also despise the fact that Nana only ever got development or a backstory when it came time to ship her with Zane. I wish she could have been more explored earlier on aside from being the “annoying, shippy, meifwa girl”. She got the short end of the stick recently and I hate it.

Aaron 

I have really never liked Aaron. From him being a high school senior dating a freshman to him literally murdering people, I never liked him. This season really didn't help that. Aaron ended lives, we see him kill Blaze and is he punished at all for it ? No. Yes, he was blinded and lost his memory but that wasn't as a reprimand for his crime of I don’t know MURDER. Aaron and Irene’s constant interactions make zero sense to me. One man cant be brought back to life by God twice. I get a bad sense that through-out season 6, we are meant to be supporting or sympathising with Aaron but I just cant. We are treated to numerous flashbacks to Aaron’s past, inter-cut with scenes of him committing various horrid actions. His father raised and treated him horribly but that is no excuse for murder. The ending of season 6 seemed almost hopeful for Aaron with the “hope” of him and Aphmau reuniting and I honestly don’t feel it is 100% earned. 

Ultima/ Werewolf 

This point isn't so much a critique on season 6 specifically but on the series as a whole. Aaron and his family being werewolves, being descendants of the ultima werewolf no less, came out of no where. Werewolves being introduced into the main plot could have been cool but instead the majority of it came off being rather cringey, specially in Phoenix Drop High. Anytime a werewolf would call Aphmau or Aaron “Alpha”, I could feel my skin crawl. The dealing of almost species based discrimination in season 6 was down right awful and Im not even talking about Aphmau wanting to be turned. The whole ordeal with the restaurant denying the werewolf pack service was over and dealt with as soon as it happened, The werewolves being hunted in season 6 because of the possibility they were an ultima and Katelyns reaction to Aaron being a werewolf seemed to come out of no-where. The idea of discrimination based on something someone can not control in a minecraft story could have been a way to teach younger kids a great life lesson but the majority of story lines involving werewolves were so half-assed, you cant even make a successful anecdote out of them. 

MCD/MS Connection

In the last season of MS, they really tried to shoe-horn in this connection with MCD which honestly creates nothing but plot-holes. A MS/MCD connection could have been a really cool concept and piece to see but its so rushed and forced, it just comes across as awkward and last minute. If the writers really did want to merge the two series or at least have them canonically exist in the same universe, they should have been setting it up from the first season. Overall, the two series are so vastly different from their environment to the characters that a complete mash up of the two would be so jarring. Just imagine Zane from MS meeting Zane from MCD or all of the MCD characters in a world without Wyvern, common use of ships, lords, and being introduced to the technology. A series combining the two would be fun and it would be fun seeing the characters interact and meet each other but it would need to be well thought out instead of just saying “and now here’s Irene and the demon warlock” which is what season 6 did. 

Dante/ Laurence

The Laurence curse strikes again but this time, its not just him. Since season 2, there has been a “tendency” to forget Laurence in the shows events. He was absent throughout Season 2 and again for Seasons 4,5 and 6. Dante, however, was very present in the first 3 straight seasons of the show. No one expected for him to disappear out of the blue ;) like that. Laurence disappearing could make sense, maybe Sebastian was booked up at the time or other personal reasons but Kestin voiced Zane and Eric throughout the show. Season 5 of the show I will cut some slack for forgetting them, It already barely made sense for how characters like Kai or Nate were there, but forgetting Laurence in Season 2 seemed odd. Dante and Laurence not only could have helped the “gang” but they could’ve provided some great entertainment and story lines but instead we got Ein ... again.

Ein

Eins rant will be shorter as while his character in season 4 did not leave much of an impact on me, his story could have been written leagues better. Eins story line and subsequent death was insanely fast. We got the spotting at the end of season 5 and a poorly done B plot throughout season 6. Ein is a fairly good villain with some decent potential, he could have been much more utilised. Ein served only to kill Aphmau then die. His character got walked all over. Literally. He caused such shit in season 4 and his death was a simple *stomp*. Are you kidding ? Everything could have been just ... better. Not only in regards to Ein but for the entire season. 

Closing Thoughts 

Overall the season was not good, in my opinion. Mystreet works much better as a episodic show like a slice of life anime, as a story driven series like a shounen it does not. If the rumours about a season 7 are true, I really hope it is at least a bit better than this one. It as a whole was a mess. To reiterate, this is meant as no attack on the writers or BluJay Studios but as a critique on this particular season. I love Aphmau and the Mystreet series but this was its low point. ONE THING everyone knows about Blaze, is that he is a stoner. You want to try weed for the first time? He is so down to be there and care for you in case you green out and believe you're going to die. Need something small and affordable for a small event? He knows a guy. Need a smoking buddy? He's down. This man was high almost every day; minus Sunday for Irene's day.

You had witnessed high Blaze on countless times. It's not like he was high every time he saw someone, but you can bet your ass he'll be high sometime during that day. Typically at night time when school is over and his responsibilities have either pushed onto the following day, or he completed them.

So, imagine your shock when Blaze comes into school high. No prior warning that'll he'll be high. He just arrives, high off his ass.

You were sitting at your desk, waving him over.

When he came over and sat down, you couldn't help but notice a particular smell to him. His cologne was unusually stronger and his breath smelt of mint. Like, a lot of mint. You raised a brow at the wolf. "Blaze, are you ok?" You ask.

First mistake the wolf did was look to you. Thats when you noticed the watery, droopy eyes. "Oh my goddess" You slapped the wolf. "Are you high!" Harsh whispers targeted towards the male.

"Nah man. I'm super chill. Totally down on the earth" Earth. He said earth instead of ground. You pinch the bridge of your nose. Praying for Irene to give you the strength to deal with him for the next hour of class.

"Oh my goddess, you are high"

Science experiment was quite the pain in the ass. You were a squeamish person. Fainting at the sight of blood. So, doing this experiment wasn't ideal for you but unfortunately was mandatory.

"Aw God, can we get this over with" You covered your mouth and nose, attempting to limit the amount of sheep-heart scent you were inhaling.

Blaze hummed, grabbing the scalpel. He was in charge of cutting the heart and writing stuff down, while you would write up both reports. A fair deal in your eyes, and his. Blaze hated writing.

You would glance at him from time to time, until you saw the scalpel at the apex of the heart. Frowning your brows, you turned completely to Blaze and the heart; ignoring the vomiting feeling bubbling in the pit of your stomach.

"Shouldn't it be left ventricle" You pointed out.

Blaze shook his head. "Nah, man. Straight line. longitudinal cut"

"But wouldn't it be easier? I'm sure the book said to start at the left ventricle" You pulled out your science book, flicking to the page that had the experiment on.

"Nah man. longitudinal cut gains use view point of the blood-flow. Left would leave us blind" Blaze began cutting down towards the hearts base.

You had reached the experiment's page and began reading. Low and behold, there were the instructions to cut from the apex down to the base. Blaze was right.

"You were. . . .right" You said in disbelief.

"Yeah"

"Without reading the page" You added.

"Yup"

"You should be high more. No way sober Blaze would know that without giving the page a glance first"

"I had the tisms for Science"

You slapped his shoulder, laughing at his words. "Don't steal Daniel's sentence. You have ADHD at most"

ok so before i start this

1) ive never posted shiiiit on tumblr before so watch me suffer, im just here to talk about stuff that my friends who dont know anything about aphmau have to listen to me rant about for hours on end

2) i havent seen mystreet in like years (except season 3, i watch that frequently since im laurance and shadow knight deprived) so please bear with me because i might be completely wrong on this lol. it’s just like, pointing out things i remember

3) im sure someones already talked about this but who cares

4) im gonna do this stupid thing where i just explain myself a bit at first, if you dont want to read that just skip to the part where you see “the actual thingy:” in bold and italics 

5) mild disclaimer; i am completely aware that jessica is not a professional writer. i know that she did her best to appeal to her fans, and honestly, respect for that. while this post will come off as aggressive and probably look like hate, that’s not my intention in the slightest. it’s just... intense criticism. im sure y’all probably already know that, but yeah, just stating that anyways. i do believe that jess is doing her best, and in no way do i want to dismiss any hard work she’s done. that being said; prepare for a very strongly opinionated post.

ok here we go 

one of the main reasons i stopped watching aphmau back in 2017 was the mess that was season 4. like, in the first few episodes of the emerald secret, i thought “woah!! this is kinda cool, im a sucker for mystery!” because of course i was, it was something new and something exciting. the only problem i had with it at the time was kim, but that’s just because i always found her annoying and out of place. i just didn’t understand why garroth dragged her along and honestly i still don’t to this day BUT, moving on.

anyways, as the season progressed, 13 year old me was of course just “:0!!” the entire time--that is, up until the reveal of the main villain. i remember watching the episode, seeing the reveal of ein, and then stopping. like, just for a quick break, but i was still just overwhelmingly disappointed. like, and this was the time when pdh was airing and ein just got made alpha (i think?) and i had really really liked eins character in pdh. either way, that really sucked and actually opened my eyes to a lot of things.

one of the main things bein’ the fact that this was supposed to be a slice of life kinda series that decided to take a turn to a more edgy kinda approach. which, i guess i regularly wouldnt mind? but seeing as mcd was kinda bein neglected at the time it just didnt sit right with me. BUT WHATEVER, point is i stopped watching mystreet all together at the end of season 4.

like, a whole year later my brother tells me that shit’s getting intense in season 5 + 6 of mystreet, and my brilliant self decided to give it a shot--but i refused to watch all of season 5, so i only stepped in when ein made an appearance. so whenever that was, that’s where i picked up because i didnt care enough to see 

and y’know--i honestly didn’t hate it at first. in fact, i found it oddly cool. it wasn’t enough to get me into aphmau again, but it was enough to where i was intrigued. i dont know why, but i never watched the finale, so i didnt see the ending until just a few weeks ago--but back then, i thought it was neat. looking back on it however... im just so confused. 

side note: only got back into aphmau this time around because of mcd. mainly because like, i adore the first season and the first half of the second season. and being nearly 18 now, im a lot more appreciative of plot and well-written characters n junk. 

the actual thingy:

ok back on track. imma stop spilling out my story of how i got back into aphmau, and lets just skip to what rewatching mcd made me realize of season 6′s plot and shit:

-emmalyn. how the fuck does ghost even remotely exist? if she’s emmalyn as claimed, then why have we already seen emmalyn in the mystreet universe alive? look i get that creators can do whatever they want with their stories but at the same time please provide some sort of explanation good god. and maybe they did and i just havent seen it, so if there is one--let me know. but until that day imma just sit here confused as fuck

-ok so imma just be real, the whole ‘ultima’ thing is just... not great. in my opinion, anyways. like... i saw someone mention this in another post, but if this ultima stuff was like, a really big deal, why isnt it mentioned in mcd? though i suppose since its a curse of sorts, it could be later on past the time period in which mcd takes place--but even then, how did it manage to make its way into aaron’s family bloodline? 

-WHY IS EVERYONE AT STARLIGHT ITS JUST SO CONVINIENT like what happened to this place being the most expensive shit on the planet or whatever, and how the gang happens to run into like, the werewolf trio and blaze and kai and guy and nate all of these people like god damn life doesnt WORK LIKE THAT 

-im sorry but turning people into relics? thats... thats the best you could come up with? plus, like, how does that even work? in mcd it’s established that relics are separate entitles that choose their wielder, based on a ‘personal’ connection (being a descendent of a previous wielder) or if they’re a good match personality and (i think?) moral wise. so the whole turning-people-into-relics doesnt make much sense to be honest. 

-irene really over here using her god powers to only keep her friends alive like god damn not a great god if you ask me 

-can i talk about how incredibly predictable aphmaus death was? like i just kinda sat there waiting for it to happen and when it did i literally went “haha! wonder when she’ll be revived” because god forbid we actually kill off characters 

-when aphmau + demon warlock fought in the irene dimension there was no passage of time whatsoever in the real world whiiiiiiiiich really bothers me because they fought in there for at least a few minutes

-speaking of aphmau and the demon warlocks fight does it bother anyone else that it had to be aaron who took over the fight?? like we get it hes the big protector blah blah blah but god damn it wouldve been cooler if aphmau had fought this battle as her. aaron fighting this battle was so underwhelming

-...love. like, thats the only thing thats needed to break out of a forever potion? love? LIKE YEAH, GOOD GUYS GOTTA WIN SOMEHOW, but its just so cliche and overdoneeee

-oh yeah and also when travis went bonkers and became the demon warlock or whatever, why’d he only take over katelyn and garroth?? like, zane had been influenced by the potions in the past as well? DONT GET ME WRONG--i do love some good brother edge, but uh, the demon warlock was just bein kinda a dumbass by not possessing zane too just sayin’

-can aaron please go to fucking jail for mass murder now like holy shit, he just got sent home on a fuckin boat. also why did blaze forgive him for killing him thats not even remotely realistic. then again, nothing in mystreet has ever been realistic when it comes to characters and motives and personalities, (cough katelyn being actually abusive and travis being an actual pervert) but yknow whatever

-katelyn and kawaii chan literally added nothing to the plot whatsoever. like lets be real, katelyn lost her personality the moment season 5 started and kawaii chan just kinda sits there :I

-ok im sorry this was bound to come up but cmon guys imagine laurances potential if he was in season 6 like god damn this is beyond maddening. AND YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A REALLY REALLY COOL PARRALLEL?? IF IT WAS LAURANCE WHO SNAPPED GARROTH OUT OF HIS MIND CONTROL THING, because it would mimic laurance’s speech to get garroth to snap out of his rage in season 1, episode 100 of minecraft diaries. like how fuckin rad would that have been? missed opportunity 

-also?? why does kim/ghost know magicks?? like, if i remember correctly, emmalyn is a scholar--not someone who knew magicks. i mean, i guess research? study?? but its been established that knowing how magicks works =/= being able to use magicks. i dunno, just doesnt seem right i guess. maybe its explained, i wouldnt know (yes i know that makes me look like a dick leave me alone)

-melissa should have stayed dead. LIKE, NO, ITS NOT AS SIMPLE AS “haha it takes more than a few bullets to kill me”??? look ive got nothing wrong with melissa (cough lie cough) but yknow it would have just been cool a character... stay dead? for once? its just too fuckin cliche that shes alive god damn

-can i also just say the only good thing that came out of season 6 was travis’ dads sacrifice like damn that made me actually sad

-howww was lucinda turned into a relic. or yknow, anyone else? like im sure they explain it better in the actual show i just dont remember, but its just that easy? turning anyone into a relic? granted, a normal person wouldnt be able to produce a good relic, but idk man. IM JUST SAYING; that the only really powerful relics that aphmau should have been able to wield is the one that aaron + zane produced because shad relic and esmund relic moment. lucinda isnt even like, connected to a divine warrior. ALSO, another point, if its seriously that powerful of a relic getting one from just a magic user like lucinda, why go through the trouble? i mean i guess ofc youd want the “all powerful” one that the ultima produces but i mean damn whats the point

-ok this is just going to bother me but in one of the episodes (i think might have been in season 5 actually) where that like, guardian dude was chasing aphmau and zane and at one point they split up and the dude just chuckles at zane diverting paths and goes under his breath “youre not the important one here”, suggesting that aphmau somehow is? first of all, id argue that any ro’meave is significantly more important than aphmau was, especially not knowing much about her other than that shes with aaron. i might be missing some bits an pieces, but if i was that dude id forget about aphmau and go after zane 

-killing off derek for shock factor sucked, and i know the moment was supposed to be really sad because like “oh :( aarons dad is sacrificing himself for his son” but lets be real dereks still was a shitty father and i dont think his reasons for doing what he did was very good at all

-less about plot or more like: why the absolute fuck did the gang bring kim along instead of, oh i dont know, a life-long friend? like, laurance or dante maybe?? im sure its explained, i never saw aphmaus year or most of season 5, but god DAMN id hate to be apart of this friend group AND GOD LIKE, imagine reconnecting with an old friend who ends up getting closer to your best friends and taking priority in their lives over you (cough laurance) like god damn lol

-im just going to preface this one with: i dont remember everything that’s happened, so if im wrong i apologize in advance--but (you actually can correct me if im wrong and please do) didnt like, irene reincarnate her friends in order to give them better lives? I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE, ITS JUST WHAT I REMEMBER--however, if im correct, then:

a. why the hell would she bring back someone like zane, or gene, or ivy, etc.

b. why the hell do they all have the same exact names? first and last? again, im aware that the whole mystreet+mcd tie wasn’t originally supposed to be there, but i dont think that means such a coincidence can be excused? its just a bit much if you ask me.

c. why the hell is the fact that (as much as i literally hate this) aaron is a decedent of shad being ignored? like, you’d think that something like this would be something thats actually important, or something the demon warlock couldve taken advantage of. or are we completely erasing every other connections to divine warriors besides aphmau + irene? because even if irene did reincarnate them or do whatever it is she did, does she even have the power to sever the connections between them and their ancestors? my guess is, no.

d. speaking of irene why on earth was aphmau able to talk to/see irene, they’re literally the same person are they not? did she like, fuckin reincarnate herself without actually doing it?? BUT--i will give it to them, the demon warlock did refer to aphmau as something along the lines of being “one of the 3 parts of her broken soul” or something like that. however, my point still remains. also what are the other two did i miss that or is it never explained

now; if irene in fact did not ‘reincarnate’ her friends then please ignore that little bit right there :)

but yes, those are a few of the problems i have with season 6 off the top of my head. i would go into like, season 4 and 5 more as well, but i honestly didnt feel like it. at some point i might go into other things, like how important laurance could have been to the plot of these later seasons, or HELL, even dante. i might also go into what could have made season 4, 5, and 6 actually good--maybe... a rewrite? perhaps? but im getting too far ahead of myself, so i just leave you with this for now.

and i know that as soon as i post this 15 more things are just going to pop into my head BUT im going to try and not edit this post because why stress myself with that even more

Blaze - Starlight

**A/N pretend Blaze wasn't invited to Starlight to be part of Aaron's pack, but instead invited with Aphmau, Garroth, etc.

You missed Blaze so much that it hurt.  You hadn't seen him in a year, since you left for the Lodge with your brother.  Blaze hadn't gone with you since he had things to do, but as soon as he heard you were hurt he dropped everything and raced up there as fast as he could.  But unfortunately, he got there too late.  The damage was done.  You were unconscious.  And your (your favorite color) ears and tail had been revealed.

It was a long year of waiting to see him again.  You didn't get any pictures, phone calls, or video chats.  No voice recordings, like Aaron got from Aphmau.  Just a couple letters, once or twice a month.  Sometimes not even that much.

You'd began to fear he didn't want to deal with it anymore.  You were terrified he was going to leave you.  You'd become a mess after Ein's massacre, both physically and emotionally.  You had a scar running down your left cheek, and you'd lost all sense of sight in your left eye from Ein scratching it.  Your arms and legs were covered in scars as well, and your stomach held wounds that were still taking time to heal.  He'd done much worse to you than Aaron.

You were staring at a letter Blaze had sent you.  The most recent one.  It had come in a couple days before, but you didn't know how to respond.  He said things were getting back to normal at home, that work was going well, all the things he thought you wanted to hear.  You just wanted to hear that he missed you, and couldn't wait to see you.  But he didn't say that.  He never did, except or the first letter or two.

You looked up when you heard the door open, and turned to be faced with your brother.  You two were born nine months apart, so you were the same age, but not twins.  "Hey Aaron," you sighed as you looked back down at the letter.  You were tapping your pencil against your desk, trying to figure out what to write.

Aaron walked over to you and took the pencil from your hand.  "Come with me, take a break from the letter."  

You sighed.  You didn't want to take a break, you wanted to write to him as soon as possible.  But you knew you wouldn't get anything done if you just sat there staring at a blank sheet of paper.  "Okay," you said as you stood up.

You followed Aaron as he walked out of the house, heading down to the river.  He knew that was your favorite spot on the island.  It was beautiful, great for thinking.  The sound of running water, the smell of the salt water, the feeling of the cool breeze in your hair...  It was the one place on the island where you felt like you could smile.

When you arrived at the river, your heart nearly stopped.  Blaze was there, standing in the middle of a cabana, looking at you.  There were tears in his eyes as they met yours, and he opened his arms for a hug.

You turned to your brother for a reality confirmation.  You'd hallucinated seeing him once or twice, about ten months ago when you were still very loopy from your medical treatments.  "Is-is he real?" you asked Aaron quietly.

Aaron nodded at you with a smile, pushing you towards the flame-headed man.  "Yeah, he's real, y/n."

You smiled and turned back to him, running as fast as you could to close the distance and jump into his arms.  Tears slid of your face as he picked you up and spun you in a circle, then put you down and looked at you.

"Blaze," you said, so quiet it was hardly above a whisper.  You noticed he was looking at your new scars.  The one covering your left eye, which had glazed over to a dull (your eye color).  The one on your cheek, and all the ones on your arms.  His gaze finally stopped on your ears.

The masses of (your favorite color) fur dropped down as you looked down at your feet.  "I-I know..." you said, already knowing what he was going to say.  You were a mess.  Plus, you hadn't told him about the whole Ultima situation.  

"Hey," he said as he gently pushed your face upward so he could meet your eyes.  He had tears in his own eyes, and in that moment you knew:  He did miss you.  He missed you a lot.  All the pain, all the love and the ear of not seeing each other again, it was expressed in that one moment.  "You look beautiful," he whispered.  

You let out a small sob as you held onto him tightly.  There were so many times where you woke up in the middle of the night crying, after having a nightmare about never seeing him again.  About him not wanting you.

He rubbed your back soothingly as he held you tightly.  Like he was afraid you'd disappear if he let go.  "Shh," he said quietly as his hand ran up and down your back.  "It's okay, I'm here now.  Everything will be okay now."

You held in your cries to keep yourself from sobbing again.  You buried your face into the crook of his neck and closed your eyes tightly, just enjoying the moment.  It had been so long, a whole twelve months.  One year.  

So many girls hit on Blaze when you were around, you shuddered at the thought of how many did it when you weren't.  But they made no difference.  Because at the end of the day, he came back to you.  He was there with you.

He pulled out of the hug so he could rest his forehead against yours.  His eyes met yours as he said, "Everything is gonna be okay now, y/n.  I promise."

Blaze - Scars

**A/N trigger warning

Moving to Phoenix Drop was the best thing to ever happen to you.  You had to move from your old school because of severe bullying, but none of them knew that.  You decided to recreate yourself, which your parents were totally fine with.  You bought all new clothes, all with long sleeves, and somehow managed to act confident.

Just your first day alone had been the best of your life.  As soon as you got to school, a boy with flame red hair approached you.  He had two different colored eyes, which you found really cute.  You found all of him really cute.

"Hi," he said, speaking to you in a confident tone.  You noticed a few scars on his face, which made him even cuter.  It was like a perfect imperfection.  "You new here?"

You took a deep breath.  You didn't expect to have to start the charade so quickly, but you'd planned for it.  "Yeah, I'm new here.  I'm y/n."

He smiled at you.  "Beautiful name for a beautiful girl, I like it.  I'm Blaze."

Your face blushed lightly.  "Handsome name for a handsome guy."  When you realized what you said, your eyes widened.  "I-I didn't mean-"

He cut you off with a laugh.  "I know, I'm handsome.  Don't gotta tell me."

You playfully rolled your eyes as a smile crossed your face.  "Pretty full of yourself, huh?"

He shrugged his shoulders and adjusted his uniform tie.  "Not full but the confidence is far from empty.  How about I show you to your class, and we have lunch together later?"

You nodded as your smile grew.  "Sounds like a plan."

He held out his arm to you.  "Great.  Come on, I'll show you around."

You blushed even more as you took his arm.  You couldn't believe how well you were doing.  You were on the arm of a handsome boy who wanted to have lunch with you.

That was the beginning of a beautiful relationship that would blossom over the next year.  You managed to keep things about how you used to be from Blaze, which you felt awful about but you knew he'd dump you.  You didn't want to lose him.

It was your last day of school when he found out.  The bell had finally rung, and the two of you were walking to his house to hang out.

You had a light sweater on because it was raining, and when you took it off your eyes widened.  The make up you started using to hide your scars came off in the rain, onto the sweater.

Blaze turned to you, looking at two DVD's.  "I think it's time you finally watch my favorite-"  He cut himself off when he looked up.  He saw your scarred arm, and the DVD's slipped from his hands.  "y/n...?"

Your eyes widened.  "Blaze, I-I can explain..."

He slowly took your arm and carefully examined the scars.  "y/n...  When?  Why?"  He looked at you with tears in his eyes, and yout heart broke.

"It was before I met you..." you said quietly.  You looked down at your feet.  "I-I told you I moved here because my mom got a new job.  That isn't wrong.  She got transferred from her old company, because she needed an excuse for us to move.  I was being severely bullied at my old school."  A tear fell down your face.  You hadn't told anybody about what happened to you.  You felt bad for not telling Blaze, but you didn't want to lose him.

"Why didn't you tell me any of this...?  Do I even know the real you?"

You nodded slowly as another tear fell.  "Yes, you do.  I-I didn't tell you because I thought you'd leave me..."

He gently put his hand beneath your chin and lifted it up to make you look at him.  "You thought that I'd leave you because people were treating you badly in the past...?"

You sighed.  "I-I don't know, Blaze...  I was scared."

He sighed.  "What did you lie about?"

"Nothing, I promise.  I just...  Avoided saying some truths."  Tears slid down your face again.  "I'm so, so sorry, Blaze...  I understand if you're totally mad at me and wanna like, break up-"

"I don't wanna break up."  He pulled you against his body and hugged you tightly.  "I never want to break up with you, y/n.  And the fact that you almost died, you wouldn't be here today...  That just makes me even more sure of it.  I never want to break up, I never want to date anyone else.  I never want to kiss another pair of lips.  I never want to be with any other girls, and I don't want you to be with any other guys."

Another tear slipped from your (your eye color) eye.  "Blaze..."

He took a step back from you and took your hands in his as he met your eyes.  "y/n y/l/n, I never want to lose you.  Ever.  Will you do me the honor of being mine forever?"

You paused.  "Blaze, you're not thinking straight."

"I've been thinking about this for a while.  We're done with high school now, it's tome to decide what comes next.  I was planning to propose anyway.  I was never gonna put on a movie, it was a film of the two of us and cute moments we shared, and at the end it's me giving this huge speech, and then I propose.  You don't have to say yes, because I understand we're still young.  But I wanted you to know the offer is on the table when you're ready for it."

You hugged him tightly and squeezed your eyes shut to keep tears from falling as you nodded your head.  "I love you, Blaze.  Yes, of course I'll marry you."

He smiled and pulled out of the hug so he could attach his lips to yours.  The two of you stood there for a minute, merging into one being through a simple kiss, until Blaze pulled away and rested his forehead against yours.  "I love you," he said quietly.  "Promise me you'll never do that to yourself again."

You nodded slowly, moving both your head and his.  "I promise."

He smiled slightly.  "Good.  Now come on, my fiancée."

Blaze - College

You hadn't seen Blaze in a year, since he moved to FalconClaw University.  The two of you had dated in high school for his senior year, your junior year.  He was the only person your brother, Aaron, would speak to at school.  He kept Blaze in the loop about your life.  You two only broke up because you didn't want to fail at a long distance relationship, or have a fight and not be able to reach the other.

But, you were finally seeing him again.  You'd finally graduated from Phoenix Drop High, and you were going to FalconClaw for a week.  You'd get to see your brother, and you'd get to see Blaze.

You were scared to see him.  Aaron said he was always asking about you, but he had made no effort to reach out to you.  Not even when he heard you were coming to FalconClaw.

You arrived at the school via taxi, because per usual, your parents were too busy to take you.  You climbed out of the car and took your suitcase from the trunk before paying the taxi driver and looking up from the ground.

Standing in front of the building was Blaze, holding a giant sign that said, Welcome y/n!!!

You smiled and let go of your bag as you looked at him.  You hadn't seen him in forever.  You'd thought he'd forgotten about you and moved on.  He was the hottest werewolf at Phoenix Drop High, so why wouldn't he have?

He put down the sign and held his arms open, whoch you greatfully ran into.  You hugged him tightly and buried your face in his shoulder as you tried to keep tears from falling down your cheeks.

"y/n," he said quietly as he held onto you tightly.  He picked you up off the ground and spun you in a circle, making your face blush dark crimson.

"Blaze," you stated, finally tearing yourself out of the hug to look at him.  He hadn't changed at all.  His different colored eyes still looked exactly the same.  His flame red hair still looked exactly how you remembered.  But, despite the warm welcome and spinning hug, one question still raged on in your mind.  "So, have you found another girlfriend yet?"

He laughed at your bluntness.  "Straight to the point, you haven't changed at all."

You laughed and playfully rolled your eyes.  "Answer the question, Blaze."

He shrugged his broad shoulders.  "No, I haven't dated anyone.  I told you I wouldn't.  But I might, if you don't take back your man soon."

You laughed and hugged him.  "I'll be yours for as long as you'll be mine, Blaze."

He hugged you tight.  "Then you're gonna be mine for a long time."  There was a pause, until he said, "You know I wouldn't see someone else, right?"

You sighed.  "I mean..."

"Do you doubt my feelings for you?"

You shook your head.  "That isn't it at all."  You pulled out of the hug again to look at him.  "You were the hottest werewolf in High School.  Everybody wanted you.  Usually...  Guys like that don't like to be tied down.  Especially not to girls like me."  You looked down at your feet.  "I don't doubt your feelings for me...  I just wonder how long they'll last."

He gently put his hand under your chin, lifting your head up.  "y/n, loving you makes me capable of things I never thought possible.  With you by my side, I feel like I can do anything.  I could look death in the face and smile if you're with me.  Why would I want to give up something like that?"

You sighed and ran your hand through your (your hair color) hair.  "I don't know.  I just worry."

"Well you have nothing to worry about."  His eyes met yours.  "Because I love you."  He closed the distance between your lips, pressing his against yours in a heated, passionate kiss.  Your arms wrapped around his neck as his made their way to your waist, and in that moment all was forgotten.  All the pain and sorrow.  All the fear of losing him.  All the thoughts of him with other girls.  It all disappeared.  It was just you two, kissing each other, and madly in love.

You didn't want it to end when Blaze pulled away, so you tried to lean in again.  But he pulled away from you.  

"You got to ask your question," he said with a smirk on his face.  "Now let me ask mine.  Have you seen anybody else?"

You laughed and shook your head as you looked at him.  You loved him so much.  Sometimes, so much that it hurt.  Though usually that was just when you were apart.  You smiled at him and hugged him yet again as you said, "Why would I want to?"
