Yesterday we harvested our own food. Norway has some herds of wild reindeers and we got a calf.

You can't just walk outside your doorstep and hunt. First you need to have some sort of a ticket. You have to apply for one of these, and they get drawn out among all the appliers. If you're lucky to get a reindeer, you can't choose what kind of reindeer you want to shoot. This is decided in advance by someone else. When you get offered a ticket you need to pay for it first before you go out hunting. Calf is the cheapest, then you have young adults, then adult females (in some areas they're protected and not allowed to shoot) and the most expensive reindeer is a large buck.

When everything is in order you can go out hunting. If you fail to hunt down the animal you paid for, you won't get your money back. Usually when WE are heading out, we drive to the foot of some mountain, because the reindeers like the habitat. They usually like to stay on marshes around the mountains. After parking the car we bring our gear and walk up. If we find any animals and have a successful hunt we have to carry the animal down by foot. That's why I carry it on my back.

When you get back home after a day like this, you really feel that you've earned the food you eat and that the animal you eat has lived the best life possible in the free nature 🌲

question for those that actually play the game: does anyone actually use binary lasers? cos from what i can tell is 1x B-Laser takes up the same space and 1 less ton than two L-Lasers, produces the same heat as firing both at once, but only does three quarters the damage

Maybe you need to consider Killer is not French but understands that their situation is like this old French story tell. So he just adopts a whole bunch of French stereotypes (including the laugh), and proceeds to annoy everyone in the castle. Eventually, it gets to the point that Cross is just annoyed at everything, Horror is done, and Dust and Killer get into a full-on brawl over this annoying behavior. The fight is broken up by Nightmare who separates the two until they calm down. Nightmare then gives one dark growl at Killer and just says "Enough." Night is the boss, so can't argue with that. So Killer just tones it all back to something more reasonable. (which is actually him just being his normal self but he had adopted all those behaviors and customs to the point he might as well be French)
