I'll be honest: I didn't expect to be back here until Thanksgiving or maybe even Christmas, and I definitely wasn't expecting to suddenly find myself semi-living at home again on Halloween. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, of course, but it's been... well, let's just say it's been a bit of an adjustment. And it looks like I'm not the only one who thinks so because my mom quite literally just told me to "stop moping on the couch with the cat and go to that Halloween bash".

I suppose she has a point, so I'm currently putting together a very last-minute costume, as I didn't bring costume 1.0 from New York (and it was a couple's costume, so it would have been no use anyway...).

In other words: yes, hi, I'm back, and I figured I'd say hello on this website before seeing most of you (I hope!) in person again tonight! For those of you I haven't met yet: I'm Blaine Anderson and disclaimer: the mustache you'll see me with tonight is very much a fake one. Please feel free to come and say hi! I promise I don't bite.

Nobody understands Kingdom Hearts that well cause everybody compares it to shonen anime when it's actually a magical girl anime because it has:

Teammates that the protagonist can lean on and who help the protagonist with said special power

A love interest heavily involved in the plot that both motivates the protagonist and is motivated by the protagonist

A monster of the week format that has its own standalone conflict that eventually leads to the next major plot point in the story

Overarching themes about love and friendships and connections and identity

I really only know about football, so I can't help you too much. We have a very good local team though. Coming off a 24-16 season. The quarterback, aside from being... one of the cutest guys I've ever seen, is a man made of pure meat and just... barrels through everything. He hardly ever gets tackled.

g'day everyone! my name is blaine anderson, i'm a transfer student from ohio (and it looks like i'm not the only one) and i'm one of the newest additions to the local theatre kids. music and drama are my biggest passions — i've done a lot of community theatre in ohio, was one of the lead singers of my glee club there, i post covers and original songs on tiktok, play a few instruments and i'm hoping to make it big on broadway one day. it's probably no surprise that i'll be joining the glee club and the drama club here, as well as lgbtqia+ club, student council, the football team and the tennis team. i also love coffee, dancing, (watching) american football, going for a run, yoga, baking and, last but not least, a good party (but who doesn't?!). part of me still can't quite believe that i'll be living here on the other side of the globe, but i've always loved exploring new places and have been eager to get out of ohio, so i can't wait to fully dive into aussie culture! i've already bought a bunch of snacks to try at the airport, as well as a pair of thongs, even though i don't normally wear those that often. but when in rome, right? and i know, i know, those things aren't exactly the epitome of australian culture, but we've all gotta start somewhere. anyway, i think i've rambled enough. i can't wait to meet all of you, so please feel free to come and say hi. it's going to be a great year! go koala hall! 🐨
